First Setup and Use
Konfiguration und Inbetriebnahme
There is no switch to enable phantom power on the VoiceTone singles. Phantom power is available
when the product is powered up. Microphones that don’t require phantom power will operate properly.
1. Turn down your PA’s master volume.
2. Connect your mic and PA as shown in the diagram, then plug in the VoiceTone AC adaptor. For live
performance, a USB connection to a computer is not required.
3. Sing into your mic while adjusting the MIC GAIN control so that the input level LED flashes green.
Brief flashes of red on the LED on your loudest singing are ok.
4. Set the Dry/Wet knob to the center notch.
5. Activate the harmony effect with the footswitch (center LED will light).
6. Sing while turning up your PA volume to a comfortable level.
7. See the Harmony sections below to configure musically-correct harmonies.
Playing chords on a connected guitar while you sing greatly simplifies creating harmony. The notes of
the harmony will move in close synchronization with your changing guitar chords.
1. Connect as described in First Setup and Use above.
2. Connect your guitar to the Guitar In jack then connect to your amp from the Guitar Thru jack.
3. Set the Key/Guitar knob to Guitar; any setting of the Voices knob is good to start.
4. Ensure the effect LED is on, play the chords of a song you know and sing.
•Strumming chords works better than single line playing for harmony control
•When changing chords, ensure that the root and the third of each new chord are played cleanly
•For an alternative harmony sound or to allow you to play partial chords or arpeggios on your guitar while harmonizing, try the Key Method described below

Harmony without a Guitar (Key Method)
Using a fixed key and scale allows you to produce great sounding harmonies without using the guitar
input. This is useful for those who don’t play guitar and offers a different harmony sound for those who
do. This method produces effective harmony for many songs.
1. Connect as described in First Setup and Use above.
2. You’ll need a musical reference to sing with. This could be a friend playing piano, a recorded song
through a stereo etc.
3. Determine the key of the song and set the Key knob to this key. Consult the chart below for relative
minor keys.

Using Multiple VoiceTone Single Pedals
It is possible (even encouraged!) to use more than one VoiceTone Singles pedal at a time. You only
need to adjust the MIC GAIN control of the first pedal in the chain. On the rest, MIC GAIN should be set
to the minimum (fully left) position. The order of the pedals is important. See the following for signal flow.

Using the Mic Control Feature
Mic Control allows you to turn the harmony effect on and off from the optional TC-Helicon MP-75 mic.
Each VoiceTone Single pedal has a switch labelled MIC CONTROL that can be pushed in allowing
remote on/off control for that pedal. Mic Control can be used for single or multiple pedals on any or all
pedals. When Mic Control is not desired, ensure the switch is out.

Why am I hearing distortion?
Likely the MIC GAIN knob is set too high. Ensure that the Input LED is green most of the time with only
brief and rare peaks of red.
Can I use the product on an auxilliary send/return?
Yes. Ensure that the MIC GAIN knob is set to minimum to accept the line level signal from your mixer.
Will I need a DI box to connect to a mixer?
No.
Why is the product turning the effect on and off by itself?
This can happen when you have the MIC CONTROL knob pushed in and you are connected to a mixer
with “pseudo balanced” outputs. Unless you are using only the TC-Helicon MP-75 mic with the Mic
Control feature, the MIC CONTROL knob should be out.

Uso de varios pedales VoiceTone Single
Es posible (y lo recomendamos) que use varios pedales VoiceTone Singles a la vez. Solo deberá ajustar

Harmonie sans guitare - Méthode Key (par tonalité)
L’utilisation d’une tonalité fixe vous permet de créer de superbes harmonies sans utiliser l’entrée guitare.
Ceci est utile pour ceux qui ne jouent pas de la guitare, ou offre un son d’harmonie différent pour ceux
qui en jouent. Cette méthode produit des harmonies utilisables pour beaucoup de chansons.
1. Effectuez les branchements suivant la description faite précédemment.
2. Il vous faudra un accompagnement musical pour chanter, tel qu’un pianiste ou un enregistrement de
bande orchestre etc.
3. Déterminez la tonalité de la chanson et réglez le bouton Key sur cette tonalité. Consultez le tableau

Réglez la tonalité en fonction du tableau ci-dessous. Si vous trouvez que les harmonies ne sonnent pas
bien avec votre sélection. essayez de maintenir l’interrupteur au pied enfoncé tout en tournant le bouton
Key. Ceci ne changera pas le statut (allumé ou éteint) de l’effet.

Usare configurazioni multiple di pedali VoiceTone Single
È possibile (anzi, caldamente consigliabile) utilizzare più di un pedale VoiceTone Single simultaneamente. Sarà necessario regolare il controllo MIC GAIN del primo pedale collegato in catena - negli altri
pedali, il MIC GAIN deve essere impostato al minimo (completamente abbassato).
L’ordine dei pedali è importante. Fai riferimento alla seguente indicazione di flusso del segnale.

Usare la funzione Mic Control
Mic Control consente di attivare/disattivare gli effetti mediante il microfono opzionale TC-Helicon MP-75.
Ciascun pedale VoiceTone Single dispone di selettore un MIC CONTROL che può essere premuto per
abilitare il controllo remoto On/Off del singolo pedale. Il Mic Control è utilizzabile singolarmente o in
configurazioni multiple di pedali, in ogni pedale o in nessuno. Se non intendi utilizzare la funzione Mic

Utilisation de multiples pédales VoiceTone
Il est possible (et encouragé!) d’utiliser plusieurs pédales VoiceTone Single à la fois. Il vous suffit
d’ajuster le réglage MIC Gain sur la première pédale de la chaîne. Sur les autres, MIC Gain doit être
réglé sur la position minimum (tout à gauche). L’ordre des pédales est important. Voir ci-dessous le flux
de signal.

Utilisation de la fonction Mic Control
Mic Control vous permet d’activer/désactiver les effets à partir du micro optionnel TC-Helicon MP75.
Enfoncez l’interrupteur MIC CONTROL pour permettre ce contrôle sur une ou toutes les pédales de la
chaine. Lorsque la fonction n’est pas requise, laissez l’interrupteur en position externe.
Control, assicurati che il tasto risulti disinserito.
Suggerimenti per evitare il Feedback
• Assicurati che i monitor e/o gli altoparlanti del sistema PA non siano direttamente puntati di fronte al microfono
• Canta in posizione ravvicinata al microfono, anche toccando la griglia della capsula con le labbra
• Prova ad utilizzare microfoni a super-cardioide, quali i modelli TC-Helicon MP-55 e MP-75
• Imposta l’EQ del canale PA e l’EQ grafico con una risposta ‘flat’
• Sul palco, fai in modo che i musicisti della band suonino a livelli più bassi
FAQ
Il segnale risulta distorto. Perchè?
Probabilmente la manopola MIC GAIN è impostata a livelli troppo elevati. Assicurati che l’indicatore LED
Input si illumini di verde per la maggior parte del tempo, con brevi ed occasionali flash in rosso.
Posso usare il prodotto in un loop mandata/ritorno Aux?
Si. Per accogliere il segnale con livello di linea proveniente dal mixer assicurati che la manopola MIC
GAIN sia impostata al minimo.
Devo usare una DI box per collegare il pedale al mixer?
No.
Perchè il pedale attiva e disattiva l’effetto da solo?
Questo può avvenire se la manopola MIC CONTROL risulta premuta (inserita) e il pedale è collegato ad
un mixer con uscite “pseudo bilanciate”. A meno che non si faccia uso dello specifico microfono
TC-Helicon (dotato di funzione Mic Control), la manopola MIC CONTROL deve risultare disinserita.
Conseils pour éviter le Feedback
•Assurez vous que vos retours et/ou hauts-parleurs de sono ne sont pas pointés vers le
microphone.
•Chantez près du micro, en touchant la grille de vos lèvres
•Essayez un micro dynamique super-cardioide tel que le TC-Helicon MP-70 ou MP-75

FAQ
J’entends de la distortion: pourquoi?
Il est probable que le réglage de gain de micro soit trop fort. Assurez vous que la LED input reste verte
la plupart du temps avec seulement quelques rares flashs en rouge.
Puis je utiliser le produit sur un envoi auxiliaire?
Oui. Vous aurez besoin d’un cable XLR-TRS pour cela. Assurez vous que le Gain du micro est au minimum pour accepter le signal ligne du mixer.
Ai-je besoin d’un boitier de direct pour connecter le produit à un mixer?
Non.
Pourquoi l’effet s’active (ou se désactive) t’il tout seul?
Cela peut arriver si MIC CONTROL est enfoncé et vous êtes connecté à un Mixer avec sorties pseudosymétriques. Si vous n’utilisez pas un Micro TC-Helicon spécifique avec fonction MIC CONTROL, ce

Bouton Voices
Cantare eseguendo gli accordi con una chitarra collegata semplifica enormemente la creazione di armonie.
Le note dell’armonia procederanno in stretta correlazione al giro di accordi eseguito con la chitarra.
1. Effettua i collegamenti come descritto nella sezione “Configurazione iniziale e utilizzo”.
2. Collega la chitarra al connettore Guitar In, quindi collega l’amplificatore all’uscita Guitar Thru.
3. Posiziona la manopola Key/Guitar su Guitar; per cominciare, imposta liberamente la manopola Voices.
4. Assicurati che l’indicatore LED dell’effetto sia attivo, suona gli accordi di un brano che conosci e canta.

10 - Connecteur USB vers ordinateur
1. Abbassa il volume master del sistema PA.
2. Collega il microfono e il sistema PA come da diagramma, quindi collega l’adattatore AC.
Nelle performance dal vivo, la connessione USB al computer non è necessaria.
3. Canta nel microfono regolando il MIC GAIN in modo tale da far lampeggiare di verde il LED d’ingresso;
sono consentiti brevi flash in rosso, in corrispondenza delle parti cantate a volume più elevato.
4. Imposta la manopola Dry/Wet in posizione centrale.
5. Attiva l’effetto Harmony premendo il pulsante On/Off (footswitch). Il LED centrale si attiverà.
6. Canta nel microfono aumentando il volume del sistema PA ed impostando un livello adeguato
7. Consulta le successive sezioni per apprendere come configurare armonie musicalmente corrette.
Questo controllo seleziona una singola voce armonica o una combinazione di voci poste al di sopra o al
di sotto della voce in ingresso (in termini di nota/pitch). Le icone a triangolo pieno (pq) rappresentano le
voci armonizzate ‘Close’ (vicine), in genere poste ad una 3a dalla voce in ingresso. Le icone a freccia

1. Baissez le volume général de votre sono.
