Diploma On Line per esperti di didattica assistita dalle nuove tecnologie HOC-LAB A cura dello staff HOC-LAB Tutte le attività del DOL sono coordinate da HOC-LAB: hoc.elet.polimi.it. HOC-LAB è un laboratorio di ricerca del Politecnico di Milano (Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione e Polo territoriale di Como) che si occupa di vari settori, tra i quali assume un ruolo di rilievo l’apprendimento supportato da tecnologie nelle sue varie accezioni. HOC-LAB è un laboratorio multidisciplinare, che integra competenze diverse per attività di ricerca, sia di base che applicate. Tra le attività concernenti la didattica supportata da tecnologie, emergono: la realizzazione di strumenti tecnologici di supporto e di nuovi format pedagogico-didattici; il coordinamento di progetti di ricerca, nazionali ed internazionali; l’erogazione di servizi eLearning in 18 paesi Europei (oltre a Israele e USA) che hanno coinvolto ad oggi più di 5.000 docenti e 100.000 allievi; lo sviluppo di metodologie di progettazione e l’analisi di esperienze didattiche; la pubblicazione di più di 70 articoli di ricerca nel settore, in prestigiose sedi nazionali ed internazionali. Dal 1997 HOC-LAB si occupa della formazione di insegnanti “on the job”. L’attività è iniziata in presenza (progetto Discetech) sul territorio di Como e Lecce e, nel 2004, è diventata online con il DOL. Con quasi 1.500 iscritti (a gennaio 2012) DOL è la più diffusa iniziativa indipendente di formazione di insegnanti mai realizzata in Italia. Di HOC-LAB fanno parte tre membri del corpo docente del Politecnico di Milano. Paolo Paolini, professore ordinario Laurea in Fisica presso la Università di Milano, Master e Dottorato di Ricerca (in Computer Science) presso la UCLA (Università di California a Los Angeles). Franca Garzotto, professore associato Laurea in Matematica presso l’Università di Padova e Dottorato di Ricerca in Ingegneria Elettronica e dei Sistemi presso il Politecnico di Milano. Nicoletta di Blas, ricercatore di ruolo confermato Laurea in Lettere Classiche e Dottorato di ricerca in Scienze Linguistiche presso la Università Cattolica di Milano. Attività di eLearning Bimbotech/Discetech: attività avanzate di formazione per insegnanti, realizzate tra il 1998 e il 2002, nel territorio di Como. Da questa esperienza è derivato il DOL (Diploma OnLine) e molte delle attività descritte di seguito. DOL (Diploma OnLine per esperti nella didattica assistita dalle nuove tecnologie): un programma biennale di formazione online per gli insegnanti (Master universitario di I e II livello, corso di formazione permanente). Più di 1.500 insegnanti si sono iscritti fino alla primavera 2012. FATE: favole interattive per scuole materne e primi anni di elementari. Realizzati 3 titoli, i cui diritti di pubblicazione sono stati poi ceduti alla DeAgostini. Esperienze collaborative: un nuovo formato educativo realizzato con mondi 3Dimensionali. Più di 9.000 studenti di 18 paesi europei, Israele e USA, hanno partecipato. Vari progetti sono stati utilizzati: SEE (Shrine Educational Experience - in cooperazione con il museo d’Israele), Learning@Europe (con un finanziamento di Accenture Foundation), Storia@lombardia (in collaborazione con la regione Lombardia), Learning@SocialSport (in cooperazione con la Fondazione Italiana Accenture, il CONI, Verdesport del gruppo Benetton…). www.learningateurope.net www.learningatsocialsport.it PoliResearch: un’attività di seminari avanzati per le dirigenze scolastiche regionali. 12-14 dirigenze (su 20) partecipano in genere. PoliCultura: un concorso di narrazioni multimediali per le scuole, basato su uno strumento di authoring ed un format originali sviluppati da HOC-LAB. Ad oggi sono stati coinvolti quasi 20.000 studenti (circa 35% delle elementari) che hanno realizzato 800 narrazioni multimediali. www.policultura.it www.policulturaportal.it PoliLab-Kids: un “repository” di 150 animazioni didattiche (su temi scientifici) dedicate alla scuola dell’infanzia e primaria. È di pubblico dominio e viene correntemente utilizzato da numerose scuole elementari. www.polilabkids.it PoliCollege: corsi online per insegnanti delle scuole secondarie di secondo grado e studenti di eccellenza (IV-V anno). Iniziato nell’autunno del 2011, grazie al supporto del MIUR. www.policollege.polimi.it Technology@School: un progetto che ha investigato in maniera estesa come le LIM (Lavagne Interattive Multimediali) sono state utilizzate all’interno di una scuola elementare in cui tutte le aule ne sono dotate e tutti gli insegnanti le usano. Sono state analizzate in dettaglio circa 300 attività didattiche, con un metodo di monitoraggio con solide basi scientifiche. L4ALL-Learning for All: un progetto FIRB coordinato da HOC-LAB. Partecipano altre 6 istituzioni, tra le quali la Facoltà di Scienze della Formazione di Bologna e Perugia, l’Istituto CNR - IMATI di Genova. Il progetto si propone di analizzare l’impatto della tecnologia sulla didattica, sulla base di centinaia di esperienze realizzate in tutta Italia. Sono state raccolte ad oggi quasi 150 esperienze (circa il 40% nella scuola elementare) e più di 250 sono previste per l’autunno 2012. Un portale innovativo consente, dal marzo 2012, di diffondere queste esperienze a livello nazionale e internazionale. www.learningforall.it http://l4allportal.polimi.it/ Pubblicazioni I ricercatori e lo staff di HOC-LAB hanno pubblicato numerosi articoli, in sedi internazionali, sui temi dell’innovazione, basata su tecnologie, nella scuola. Diversi hanno ricevuto riconoscimenti come “best paper”: nel 2010 alla conferenza eLearn (4 articoli premiati su 466), nel 2008 sempre alla conferenza eLearn, nel 2006 alla conferenza ed-media. Paolo Paolini (coordinatore del laboratorio) è stato anche “invited speaker” (unico europeo) ad eLearn2006. HOC-LAB ha organizzato a Como Interaction Design and Children 2009, la più rilevante conferenza al mondo sul tema dell’interazione basata su tecnologie per bambini.
