Communication skills
I've always been traveling a lot and I had the opportunity to work in and with very different
environments: international and multicultural architectural firms and institutional, academic, no-profit
organizations. My experience in the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation is almost 20 years long and
has deeply been part of my formamentis.
Since 2009, I’m working in international frameworks and teams: first with the Erasmus in Paris sided
by an internship, then with an international master at the Politecnico of Milan, concluded by the thesis
research period in São Paulo and followed by the internship in Beijing. For example, the research I
made in Brazil took me to an everyday work in the favela community and this was extremely important
to develop social and human skills. I was teaching in the local school as volunteer. The community in
which I was well integrated and that completely accepted me recognized my work and presence.
Currently, my job makes me travel a lot, both in Italy and abroad, and it gives me the possibility of
looking at a wide spectrum of very different realities both from the organizational and the cultural point
of view. I have an everyday contact with a heterogeneous network of organizations and institutions
(such as the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UNESCO, ICCROM, ICOMOS, UNU Satoyama
Initiative but also small and local traditional enterprises in the field of art crafts and many other
universities and institutions of the network).
Working with other people is really important for me because it always brings new hints and
perspectives on the topic. I am a friendly and open person who enjoys being in a team. I deeply
believe that the understanding and respect of cultural diversity find the basis in the everyday life: the
capability of living in an intercultural environment is a crucial factor in a world that goes towards 10
billions people. One of my main personal skills is the capability of socialization even with people from
different cultures, backgrounds, languages, religions.
Organisational / managerial skills
Job-related skills
Working in the field of heritage mainly as scientific coordinator and as organizer of international events
such as the ‘Florence Youth & Heritage Festival’ and as secretary general of the International Institute
®
Life Beyond Tourism I experienced how to coordinate groups and organize steering committees,
scientific committees, round tables of international experts, workshops and cultural events.
Experiencing working with international experts also increased my knowledge of French and English
languages (ICOMOS official languages). Being secretary of the International Institute, since it was
born, I have taken part to the drafting of the statue, mission and vision, budget and to its promotion
and presentation to International teams.
