First Workshop on
Best Practices in Resilient Computing
16-17 October 2007
Università degli studi di Roma La Sapienza, Italy
Workshop Objectives
The workshop is aimed at surveying the industrial practice in dependability and security in information and
communication technologies, with emphasis on resilience. Such a survey will cover the different
understandings industry has of resilience in the different application domains and to identify, for each
domain, the specific resilience-related problems and needs, the current practices on resilience, and the
standards that may have an impact on resilience.
The domains covered by the workshop include:
!
aerospace: civil avionics, military avionics, space, air traffic management
!
surface transportation: automotive, railways
!
utility networks: electricity, telecommunications
!
e-services: e-government, e-health, etc.
!
process control
