ZAVA
Zava viene fondata da Zavarise Franco nel 1983. All’inizio l’attività prevalente dell’azienda si concentra nella lavorazione dei metalli conto terzi
fornendo ai propri clienti semilavorati e prodotti finiti di qualità. L’abilità nella lavorazione e l’utilizzo di macchinari all’avanguardia ha permesso
all’azienda di lavorare per clienti provenienti da settori molto diversi fra loro, con esigenze e richieste eterogenee che hanno dato lo stimolo
per ricercare la continua eccellenza nel prodotto e nel servizio. Negli anni le competenze produttive aumentano, e Franco Zavarise comincia a
sentire il bisogno di mettere a frutto la propria creatività, non solo per cercare soluzioni produttive ottimali, ma anche per creare nuovi prodotti.
Viene così presentata nel 1992 la prima linea di soluzioni luce e complementi d’arredo alle fiere di settore. Il successo giunge immediatamente
con la collaborazione con due grossi gruppi distributivi di illuminazione nord europei che commissionano la creazione e la produzione di una
gamma di illuminazione in esclusiva per il mercato danese e tedesco. L’attenzione al dettaglio insieme all’attitudine alla personalizzazione del
prodotto, attrae anche una nuova tipologia di clientela che richiede iniziativa, creatività e capacità di sfidare i limiti della produzione per poter
creare oggetti unici ed esclusivi. Zava diventa così partner di molti architetti e designers per la progettazione e la realizzazione di soluzioni
d’arredo d’interni ed architettoniche personalizzate in metallo. Le lavorazioni Zava entrano nelle piazze come sculture simbolo di una comunità
o all’ingresso di una chiesa come un imponente portone in ferro che protegge i fedeli, mentre l’illuminazione viene scelta da ambasciate per
dare luce agli accordi di pace o da calciatori famosi per illuminare il tavolo da biliardo. Oggi Zava è una azienda solida, che si presenta nel proprio mercato di riferimento con una gamma completa di complementi d’arredo e illuminazione. Il punto di forza dell’azienda è ancora la qualità
nella scelta e nella lavorazione dei materiali insieme ad una propria particolare visione stilistica del prodotto. Si rivolge ad un cliente esigente,
ricercato ed anticonformista nei gusti e nelle scelte, un cliente che ricerca pezzi unici e fuori dagli schemi per creare un atmosfera di complicità
nei luoghi d’incontro della casa e del contract.
Zava was founded by Franco Zavarise in 1983. Initially the company worked prevalently on commissions realised in different metals, providing
clients with semi–finished and finished quality products. The working expertise as well as the use of state of the art machinery has allowed
the company to work with clients from many different sectors who have very different needs, thus providing the stimulus to strive for continued
excellence in both service and product design. Over the years, production increased and Franco Zavarise began to feel the need to exercise
his creativity, not only to realise optimal production, but also to create new products. Thus in 1992 the first line of lighting solutions and
complementary furnishings were presented at the sectors’ trade fairs. The resultant success led to an immediate collaboration with 2 large
Northern European lighting distribution groups who commissioned the creation and production of a range of lighting exclusively for the Danish
and German market. Attention to detail together with product personalization has also attracted a new type of client – one that demands
creativity, initiative and the ability to push the boundaries of production in order to create unique and exclusive pieces. Zava has thus worked
in partnership with many architects and designers for the design and production in metal of bespoke architectural and interior solutions. Zava
workmanship can be seen in town squares in the form of sculptures symbolic of a community, at the entrance to churches as imposing metal
structures protecting the faithful- while the lighting might be chosen by different messengers to illuminate peace accords, or even by famous
footballers to light up billiards tables. Today, Zava is a solid company, that represent a complete range of lighting and complementary furnishing
in the marketplace. The company’s strong point is still the quality of their range and the high level of workmanship, together with their own
particular stylistic vision. Zava works with a clientele who are demanding, sought after and non-conformist in both their tastes and their choices,
a clientele who want unique pieces, out of the norm in order to create enticing and atmospheric places to be, both at home and in contract.

PRODUZIONE
Zava vanta un’esperienza di oltre vent’anni nella lavorazione e nel trattamento dei metalli. Questo è uno dei suoi punti di forza perché la produzione di illuminazione e di complementi d’arredo è, per quanto riguarda le parti in metallo, realizzata completamente internamente e segue
un processo alternato di manualità e automazione che rende questi oggetti unici e personalizzabili. Ferro, acciaio e alluminio sono tagliati al
laser, vengono trattati e verniciati perché possano riflettere la luce e creare atmosfera. La sensibilità per i temi dell’ecologia e dell’ambiente
fa sì che venga prediletta l’illuminazione a basso consumo energetico impiegando soprattutto lampade al neon a luce bianca alternate a luci
ad incandescenza o a bassa tensione. Accurati test di controllo vengono effettuati su ogni singolo pezzo che esce dalla produzione al fine di
evitare la consegna di pezzi difettosi e garantire quindi al cliente finale la massima qualità.
Zava boasts more than 20 years experience in the working and treatment of metals. This is one of it’s strong points because for the production
of lighting and complementary furnishings all the metal components are produced entirely in-house, following a process which alternates
between the manual and the automated in order to render pieces both unique and personalized. Iron, steel and aluminium are cut by laser,
and are treated and veneered so as to reflect light and create atmosphere. Sensitivity to the ecology and the environment is shown through
Zava’s predilection for low energy consumption lighting, using above all alternate neon and white light, incandescent lights and/or low tension
lighting. Careful controls are carried out on every piece that leaves production so as to avoid the delivery of defective pieces and to guarantee,
therefore, the highest possible level of quality to the client.

Gli oggetti Zava sono riconoscibili per le dimensioni spesso importanti, per le forme geometriche pulite ed essenziali che conferiscono loro il
carattere per prendere posto in un ambiente e non solo illuminarlo. Con questa filosofia vengono presentate le novità per il 2009: sospensioni,
applique e piantane che illuminano e arredano “i luoghi d’incontro”. Il 2009 è per Zava un anno di cambiamento e di ispirazione. Viene presentato il nuovo catalogo arricchito di proposte sorprendenti e accattivanti per una gamma prodotti tra illuminazione e complementi. Molte sono le
novità inserite. L’illuminazione si arricchisce di pezzi originali mentre i complementi si concentrano soprattutto in moduli divisori e librerie.
Pieces by Zava are recognisable by their often imposing dimensions, as well as for their clean and essential geometric form that confers a status
as such to allow them to take their place in a room and not just to simply light it. This philosophy has led to the following new developments
for 2007: Suspensions, wall lamps and Standard (floor) lamps that light and furnish “the places we meet”. 2007 is, for Zava, a year of change
and of inspiration and the new catalogue is full of surprising and captivating ideas for a range of products making up, between lighting and
complementaries, 38 families. There are many new developments included.

Franco Zavarise
Amedeo Mander
Franco Zavarise nasce a Mareeba, Australia, nel 1960. Dopo gli studi tecnici matura il desiderio di realizzare corpi illuminanti per gli amici di
sempre. Nel 1982 fonda la ZAVA, una realtà dinamica in continua espansione.
Amedeo Mander: nato a Spilimbergo, Pordenone, nel 1959. Ottimista e curioso. Ha lavorato alla Del Fabro, azienda nell’elitè dei rivenditori
di mobili dove ha acquisito un’ottima esperienza e frequentato corsi specifici di vendita che ha sfruttato più per conoscere se stesso e gli altri.
Dopo  un periodo di attività come arredatore in proprio, attualmente lavora in un negozio di arredamento in qualità di designer.
Franco Zavarise
Franco Zavarise is born in Mareeba, Australia, in 1960. After the technical instruction, he completes the desire to realize lighting fixtures for
old friends. In 1982 he establishes zava, a reality in constant expansion.
Amedeo Mander
Amedeo Mander is born in Spilimbergo, Pordenone, in 1959. Optimist ans curious. He worked with Del Fabbro, one of the elite furniture retailer
company, where he reached a high experience and attended specific courses in selling. After a period as interior designer by himself, at the
moment he collaborates with a furniture shop as designer.

Andrea Negri
Nasce a Montebelluna nel1977. Dopo la laurea presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti a Venezia nel 2004 inzia l’attività di designer ed interior design. Inizia disegnando una collezione di cermiche per la Certrè Fashion Hause, nello stesso anno inizia collaborazioni con importanti aziende
d’illuminazione, in seguito incontra Zava dove segue il prodotto e la parte di comunicazione, collabora anche come consulente per la ricerca di
nuovi materiali e sviluppo di prodotto per Mastella settore arredo bagno.
Nato il 26/06/1966 a Genova Sestri Ponente. Diploma maturità artistica e studi presso la facoltà di architettura. Inizia attività di designer nel
1997. In precedenza progetta e realizza scenografie teatrali nella prima metà degli anni ‘90 nella città di Milano. Attualmente collabora sia
con studi di progettazione, sia con Corigraf Archivio Storico della Pubblicità di Genova in merito ad allestimenti fieristici e mostre. Si occupa di
progettazione per ditte e progettazione e realizzazione di apparecchi illuminotecnici a tiratura limitata sia per locali pubblici che per residenze
private

Andrea Negri
Christian Piccolo is born in Montebelluna in 1977. After the degree in Accademia delle Belle Arti reached Venice in 2004, he started the
activity of designer and interior design. He proceeded drawing a collection of ceramics for Certre’ Fashion Hause and in the meanwhile, he
started important collaboration with higt level companies in lighting, endwig in Zava, where he follows the product and communication. He also
cooperates with Mastella arredo bagno as consultant for new material research and development of new product.
