Scacco Bratto Press n. 5

Oggi per scelta editoriale (non so cosa significhi esattamente ma ho sempre desiderato
scriverlo!  …è un po’ come una volta nella vita essere in un aula di tribunale in veste di
giudice e picchiando con il martelletto gridare «silenzio in aula, un’altra parola e la incrimino
per oltraggio alla corte!» ) riduciamo lo spazio dedicato alla stretta attualità.
Non possiamo pero’ farlo senza aver prima riportato che ieri il GM Sergey Fedorchuk,
sconfiggendo con il bianco anche il GM israeliano Alon Greenfeld, ha consolidato la sua
posizione di battistrada del torneo (5,5 punti) con un punto di vantaggio sul giovane e
sorprendente indiano Narayanan Srinath (5 punti) .
Mentre scrivo queste mie modeste righe i due si stanno affrontando sulla prima scacchiera
Srinath ha il bianco….vedremo se sarà sufficiente per impensierire il terribile ucraino!
Sulla seconda scacchiera un altro (rigorosamente senza apostofo come il mio precettore ligure
mi ha ripetutamente ricordato in quel di Vienna  ) scontro decisivo, si affrontano infatti il
maestro internazionale spagnolo David Recuero Guerra (nero) e l’IM italiano Daniele
Genocchio (bianco) fin qui protagonista in positivo del torneo con una performance oltre i
2600! Non dico altro altrimenti mi accusano di portare sf…. 
Prima di andare avanti pero’ un chiarimento riguardo le interviste qui presenti: per scelta
editoriale (e due!) e per motivi di tempo le risposte sono riportate esattamente nella modalità
con cui sono state formulate dai protagonisti intervistati, potranno essere meno corrette
grammaticalmente ma certo mantengono tutta la loro genuinità!
Sul fronte delle attività collaterali che tanto stanno avendo successo, questa mattina, gli
Horvath brothers (Joszef e Csaba, entrambi GM) hanno intrattenuto gli spettatori intervenuti
alla lezione aperta con un affiatata lezione dedicata all’attacco in alcune delle posizioni
derivanti dall’Olandese e dalla Siciliana aperta. Una chicca è stata assistere ad una partita dove
Csaba in posizione tesa e promettente ha effettuato un sacrificio di donna tematico…ed il suo
avversario dopo profonda riflessione ha abbandonato…si pero’ in posizione VINCENTE!
Incredibile nessuno dei due si era accorto di una improbabile, ma reale, risorsa difensiva che
avrebbe ribaltato la posizione! Horvath pero’ da eccellente GM ha imparato cosi’ bene la
lezione da giocare, alcuni anni dopo, la stessa mossa (in termini di idea) contro un suo
avversario al quale stavolta è toccata l’amara sorpresa di vedere una vittoria certa tramutarsi in
sconfitta.
Chiudiamo dedicando queste poche righe a due veterani del torneo a cui siamo particolarmente
affezionati, Il primo è il GM croato Miso Cebalo, praticamente presente da sempre al torneo
Master «Conca della Presolana» e da sempre in lotta per i primi posti con la classe e la sportività
che lo contraddistinguono.
A volte la sera lo potrete vedere al Hotel Milano (da sempre il «salotto della Bratto scacchistica»)
mentre si sofferma ad osservare i giocatori che analizzano gioie e disgrazie che la giornata
scacchistica ha loro riservato…ed infine suggerire la strada giusta che avrebbero dovuto
intraprendere ma soprattutto il perché la posizione lo avrebbe richiesto.
Non credo che ci sia necessità di aggiungere altro se non che lo aspettiamo già all’edizione del
prossimo anno!
Il secondo è un simpatico scacchista presente nel torneo Master e proveniente dall’Irlanda, Matt
O’Leary. Amante del nostro paese (era reduce quest’anno da aver giocato sia in Romagna che al
torneo dell’Alimini Village) e appassionato di scacchi sia come giocatore che come organizzatore,
Matt sta dando battaglia nel torneo Master dando filo da torcere a molti dei giovani presenti
senza fare una piega (e nonostante il caldo dei giorni scorsi non lo abbia certo favorito). Noi
certamente tifiamo anche per lui!
