MUSCULOSKELETAL ONCOLOGY COURSE ACourseof DepartmentofOrthopedics andOrthopedicOncology September16–18,2016MESTRE(Venezia,Italy) This is the first edition of the Musculoskeletal Oncology Course of the University of Padova. IthasbeenorganizedbytheDepartmentofOrthopedicsandOrthopedicOncologyoftheUniversityofPadova inclosecooperationwiththeotherUniversitiesoftheInternationalFaculty. BasedonafewyearsexperienceofsomefacultymemberswithotherOncologyCourses,suchastheMoffitt CancerCenterCourse,theRizzoliCourse,theOxfordCourseandtheEuropeanCourseofBudapestSemmelweis University,ourCourseisaimedtoofferareviewandupdateoftheknowledgeinmusculoskeletaloncology andmorespecificallytoprovidebasicinformationonclinicalfeatures,imaging,pathologyandprinciplesof treatmentoftheboneandsofttissuestumorsandpseudotumorallesions. ItisashortbutcomprehensiveCourse,addressedtoresidentsandyoungdoctors(orthopedicsurgeons, radiologists,pathologistandmedicaloncologists)whoarewishingtostarttheiractivityorarealreadyinvolved in the field of musculoskeletal oncology, in order to refresh or widen their knowledge. ThisCourseisdesignedtobefairlyinteractive,withwidespacededicatedtocasediscussionandquestions. Ourfacultyincludesveryprestigeousnamesinmusculoskeletaloncology,withdifferentspecialitiesrepresented: orthopedic surgery of course, as well as pathology, radiology and medical oncology.
