ThisisthefirsteditionoftheMusculoskeletalOncologyCourseoftheUniversityofPadova.
IthasbeenorganizedbytheDepartmentofOrthopedicsandOrthopedicOncologyoftheUniversity
of Padova in close cooperation with the other Universities of the International Faculty.
BasedonafewyearsexperienceofsomefacultymemberswithotherOncologyCourses,suchas
theMoffittCancerCenterCourse,theRizzoliCourse,theOxfordCourseandtheEuropeanCourse
ofBudapestSemmelweisUniversity,ourCourseisaimedtoofferareviewandupdateofthe
knowledgeinmusculoskeletaloncologyandmorespecificallytoprovidebasicinformationonclinical
features,imaging,pathologyandprinciplesoftreatmentoftheboneandsofttissuestumorsand
pseudotumorallesions.
ItisashortbutcomprehensiveCourse,addressedtoresidentsandyoungdoctors(orthopedic
surgeons,radiologists,pathologistandmedicaloncologists)whoarewishingtostarttheiractivity
orarealreadyinvolvedinthefieldofmusculoskeletaloncology,inordertorefreshorwidentheir
knowledge.
ThisCourseisdesignedtobefairlyinteractive,withwidespacededicatedtocasediscussionand
questions.
Ourfacultyincludesveryprestigeousnamesinmusculoskeletaloncology,withdifferentspecialities
represented:orthopedicsurgeryofcourse,aswellaspathology,radiologyandmedicaloncology.
