Detective Montalbano
investigates the murder of a man
called Lapecora, the owner of an
import-export company. His
widow suspects that her husband
was killed by his lover Karima, a
young Tunisian woman who
mysteriously disappeared the
very day of the murder.
Montalbano manages to track
down the woman’s son, François,
who had been hiding, terrified in
the streets of the neighbourhood.
As the detective investigates and
the mystery becomes darker and
more complex, what will happen
to little François?
Accidentally, Detective
Montalbano finds the naked
corpse of a young woman in a
villa outside the village.
Montalbano starts investigating
and finds out that the woman,
Michela Licalzi, had recently
bought the villa and come to
Sicily from Bologna to restore it.
Unfortunately the case is taken
away from Montalbano and
precious time will be lost while
the Detective tries to get his case
back.
Luparello, a leading politician,
dies in the arms of the daughter
of a political rival while making
love to her. It seems pretty
straightforward, but Montalbano
discovers that it was all staged by
Rizzo, another political opponent,
who didn't count on Giorgio,
Luparello's young lover, in whose
arms the politician had actually
passed away.
An informer reveals to
Montalbano the existence of an
arms cache in a cave outside of
town. In the cave, in addition to
the load of weapons, the police
find two bodies in a secret
chamber buried seemingly
according to an obscure ritual.
Montalbano is curious about the
find, but first has to deal with the
issue of arms smuggling unveiled
by the informer’s revelation.
Severely injured after an ambush
set up by the Mafia to prevent
him from proceeding with the
inquiry, he will spend most of his
convalescence trying to solve the
mystery of the bodies in the cave.

Detective Montalbano is faced
with a double mystery: the
murder of Nenè Sanfilippo, a
freelance informatics expert, and
the disappearance of Mr. and
Mrs. Griffo, an elderly couple last
seen during an excursion to
Tindari. Montalbano suspects
that Sanfilippo’s affair with Vania
Titulesco, the Rumanian wife of
noted transplant surgeon
Eugenio Isgrò, has something to
do with his death. Then, when
the charred bodies of the Griffos
are found, the detective discovers
that the elderly couple had been
renting a farmhouse to
Sanfilippo, who supposedly used
it to meet with his lover.
Goldsmith Alberto Larussa would
appear to have committed
suicide by turning his wheelchair
into an electric chair. But then
detective Montalbano discovers
that the dead man’s will, which
leaves everything to his brother
Giacomo, has been forged.
Giacomo is arrested. But then
after further research,
Montalbano learns that years
earlier, during a fight over Emma
Morpurgo, a girl they had both
fallen in love with, Giacomo had
pushed Roberto down a stairway,
leaving him paralysed. To avenge
this, Alberto had staged his death
in order to make it look like the
murderer was his brother.
The apparently accidental death
of a blind man leads Montalbano
to an island off the coast of Sicily
where the passing of a local
fisherman leads to the discovery
that he and the blind man had
each deposited huge sums of
money in their respective bank
accounts.
When Mr. Pagnozzi, chairman of a
public works company, and his
young wife Stefania are found
dead in their car in a gully, the
immediate conclusion is an
accident. However, the fact that
the woman’s nails are broken
causes Montalbano to suspect
that things are not that simple
and that the couple was in fact
murdered. The investigation,
initially focused on some
Albanian immigrants, gradually
reveals the secrets in Pagnozzi’s
past and how these secrets
returned to haunt him and his
young unfaithful wife.

The financial wizard Emanuele
Gargano has disappeared with
the savings entrusted to him by
the people of Montelusa. Where
is he now? Basking on some
distant island or feeding the
fishes, punished by an irate
Mafioso? Montalbano’s
investigation brings him into
contact with Maria Stella
Cosentino, Gargano’s loyal
assistant, and the beautiful
Michela Manganaro, another
employee who tells him that
Gargano was gay and involved
with the third employee Giacomo
Pellegrino.
A series of mysterious muggings
takes place in Vigata, end in
tragedy when one of the victims
is killed. Meanwhile, a man
virtually destroys the emergency
room of the local hospital upon
discovering that his daughter is
pregnant. A local gynaecologist
has also gone missing and could
possibly be dead. When he finds
out that the missing doctor is
responsible for the unwanted
pregnancy, Montalbano starts to
discover the link between these
incidents and so brings each case
to its occasionally surprising
conclusion
Montalbano's most difficult case
begins during one of his morning
swims, when he finds a badly
decomposed body floating in the
water. While consulting a
fisherman on what might have
happened, the detective spots a
group of illegal immigrants being
escorted ashore...
The murder of Angelo
Bonpensiero would appear to be
the start of a mafia war.
Montalbano has his doubts. He is
then taken off the case and
assigned to investigate the
disappearance of a young
Ukrainian woman, seemingly
unrelated to the previous case he
will find out that he should have
trusted his instinct after all...

Pardo is killed in what has to be a
crime of passion. But
Montalbano, refusing to trust
appearances, carries out the
investigation his way, digging
into the victim’s past and talking
with anyone remotely involved in
the case, including a number of
politicians who start dying like
flies because of a badly cut
cocaine shipment. In the end
Montalbano faces the toughest
challenge of his career:
investigating the female psyche
in order to solve the crime.
A badly injured horse dies on the
beach in front of Montalbano’s
house. The investigation opened
by the Chief detective brings him
into contact with elegant races
organized by local nobles, as well
as the secret contests held by the
mafia for illegal betting.
Montalbano even meets a
beautiful horsewoman who is a
friend of Ingrid’s. Avoiding the
distractions placed in his way,
Montalbano solves the case with
a crafty strategy, even clearing
the faithful Galluzzo of a murder
charge.

The naked body of a young
woman shot in the face is found
at a dumpsite, on her shoulder

association. The bishop reacts

While a guest at the rented beach

Adriana. She helps him search for
the murderer, but, at the same

point where he unwittingly starts
carrying out her plans for
vengeance.
In the ten-year period between
1938 and 1948, from the height
of Italy’s Fascist regime to the
Christian Democrat electoral
victory that marks the end of the
tumultuous postwar period, Chief
Detective De Luca investigates
and solves crimes in the City of
Bologna and along the Adriatic
coast, with little or no regard for
those in power, whoever they
happen to be. His solitary,
uncompromising character and
his magnetic effect on women,
plus the fact that he is simply a
too skilled and too honest a
policeman not to uncover the
truth, all combine to land him in
trouble from time to time.
Lara, a police crime-scene
investigator, moves in with her
Aunt Carina, a former investigator
herself, little knowing that the
man she secretly fell in love with
at the Police Academy, Chief Luca
Manara, has just been transferred
to the same small Tuscan town.
Their renewed acquaintance
starts off on the wrong foot, as
Lara, letting her emotions get the
best of her, slaps Luca at a crime
scene. But throughout the twelve
episodes, during which they
solve crimes with the expert,
warm-hearted aid of Aunt
Caterina, they discover that they
are indeed a perfect match.

It is almost January 6th, Epiphany,
and Rome’s Piazza Navona is
packed with people. It is so
crowded that, for Adriana,
kidnapping little Carletto from his
mother Laura is child’s play.
Laura’s immediate, tearful
reaction is to turn to her
companion, Giangilberto. How is
she to know that Giangilberto
actually organised the
kidnapping? The story begins and
ends in the space of a single day,
on the streets of Rome, where the
lives of bankers and journalists
intersect those of prostitutes and
immigrants from faraway
countries, all in front of the
innocent eyes of Carletto, the
merchandise being exchanged in
this absurd transaction.
“Don’t do like your grandfather.
Shoot!” is the plea repeated over
and over by the mother of Mario
Zonin, who has just arrived in
Naples to report to the
Carabinieri Police barracks where
his grandfather, a courageous
agent with a tender heart, lost his
life years earlier. Mario’s path
crosses that of another young
man, Marco Portosalvo, who has
taken part in a robbery in which a
Carabinieri agent was killed and
is now being hidden by Teresa,
Mario’s neighbour. Outside the
apartment the manhunt for the
robbers continues unabated.
Inside Marco and Teresa bide
their time in a mix of mistrust and
complicity.
At 30 Roberto lives holed up
inside his home, on account of a
severe mental condition.When
his mother dies, he discovers a
black hole in his past: a brother
he never knew existed. Why did
no one ever tell him he had a
brother? And where is the
brother now? Roberto sets off on
a difficult trip to his birthplace:
the Island of Elba. Here he
discovers that his brother was
brutally murdered shortly before
he himself was born. What is
more, the murderer may not yet
have been identified.
As soon as he arrives in Cagliari
from Civitavecchia, Detective
Giacomo Curreli is faced with two
problems: the wary attitude
taken towards him by his fellow
officers at his new posting and a
murder that no one seems to
want to solve. The death of
elderly Mrs. Marcucci is a very
difficult case indeed, though less
on account of the way in which
the crime was committed, than
because of the fact that the
victim was related to the
extremely powerful Mr. Crescioni.

Palermo is warmed by the sun on
the day that Bruno Costa meets
Anna Zanchi and falls madly in
love with her. Bruno works as a
technician for the telephone
company, but he is a bit different
from his fellow workers: he
enjoys books, music and films; he
has his own private, highly
creative world. Anna, a translator
who has settled in Palermo,
opens the door to let him in. He
looks at her and, even before her
telephone line has been repaired,
the chemistry is at work between
the two. They spend two
marvellous days getting to know
each other, trying to find a name
for what has happened to them.
Giulio Campagna is a policeman
with much experience and very
little tact. After an investigation
whose disastrous ending ruined
not only his work on the case, but
his marriage as well, he swears
that he shall never again use
information received from
informers. But life does not
always play fair. There is a drug
shipment for which the contact is
a certain Ortis, an old
acquaintance of Campagna. His
superior obliges him to get back
in touch with the informer.
Samuele was once a famous
comedian. Together with Luca,
his partner under the spotlight,
he was once very popular. Then
Samuele – Sammy for his
admirers – started drinking, and
the audiences stopped laughing.
Caterina, his girlfriend, left him
for Luca, and his life began a
dizzying downward slide. A
number of years have gone by,
and now Samuele – cured of his
drinking – has a small cabaret
nightspot and lots of memories.
Then, one evening, his old friend
Luca is murdered. The prime
suspect is Caterina. For years the
couple has consumed large
quantities of cocaine, and they
were always fighting.
Only four days, but the kind of
days that go by in a flash. Four
characters whose lives mesh
together. Elisa, a young
researcher for a large
pharmaceutical company,
assigned to study a key detail of
the molecule for a new drug. She
has a run in her stocking. Vesna,
once an illegal immigrant and
now the super quick, deadly
assistant of a professional killer.
And the killer himself, who wants
to convince Elisa to manipulate
that very special molecule.
Finally, Marco, ugly as a gorilla,
but a good man. They all have to
act, and act very rapidly.

Coliandro, a young, low-ranking
police officer in Bologna,
accidentally comes into contact
with Nikita when she comes to
see a colleague of him in another
department. She wants to show
him a suspect package that she
has been given to deliver.
Coliandro, seeing this as his big
break in the force, offers to help
her. The package contains a large
sum of money in cash and a
mysterious floppy disk that
blocks the police computing
system. When they try to deliver
the package to the addressee,
they find him dead in his office.
Inspector Trombetti returns fire
during a police operation in a
dark garage. When the lights
come on, the body of a local
gangster is found, but he was
unarmed. Trombetti is
suspended, and there are even
rumours that he once worked for
the gangster. Coliandro,
convinced of his friend's
innocence, clears Trombetti and
discovers who the dishonest cop
really is, all with the help of the
gangster's sister, with whom he
falls in love.
A Chinese child vanishes, leaving
behind a dragon key ring. Urged
on by his sweet but insistent
niece, Ispector Coliandro,
theoretically on leave to look
after the little girl, begins an
investigation of his own within
Bologna's Chinese community.
A Nigerian girl is killed. After a
series of blunders, Coliandro is
accused of being racist. He is
taken off the case and assigned
to escort Kiru, the victim’s sister,
from Nigeria. The two wind up
having a passionate affair as
Coliandro discovers that the
victim was actually a maid killed
by Kiru’s sister, who was trying to
get her hands on a large sum of
money.

Jelena, a young woman of Slavic
origin, steals Coliandro’s pistol
while he is trying to arrest her for
theft. Unable to let his fellow
officers or superiors know what
has happened to his weapon,
Coliandro sets off on yet another
personal investigation. In his
search for the pistol, he uncovers
an alliance between the merciless
“Balkans Mafia” and the
Neapolitan Camorra, as well as a
racket involving the recycling of
toxic waste.
A minor murder case would go
unnoticed, were it not for the
escorts, or high-class call girls,
involved. Plus the fact that the
investigation is being
sandbagged from on high.
Though Coliandro is told to work
on other matters, he naturally
begins a counter-investigation of
his own. With the help of
Simona, also an escort, he
uncovers a complex plot that
incriminates deviant portions of
the secret service and
strongholds of economic and
political power.
A group of armed robbers takes
the customers and personnel of a
bank hostage, little knowing that
Inspector Coliandro is using the
bank’s bathroom, or that there
are three even more desperate
criminals - armed with real
weapons and not toy ones like
the robbers – already in the bank,
ready to do whatever it takes to
retrieve important documents
that could send them to prison.
Coliandro, once again leaving his
superiors speechless, foils both
plots, saving the hostages in the
bargain.
A band of gipsies robs the wrong
house. Realizing as much, their
chief Vlad tries to take the loot
back. But, shortly after, he and a
gipsy girl are killed. Another girl,
who Coliandro once let go after
catching her stealing, survives
the attack and runs to the
Inspector for help. Working
alongside Elena, a young social
worker specialized in gipsy affairs,
as well as his fellow officer
“Gambero”, Coliandro uncovers a
dangerous criminal band.

Father Matteo faces a variety of
problems and situations that
prove both troubling and
comical. In the series he
establishes closer relationships
with the other characters such as
Marshal Cecchini of the
Carabinieri, much to the
disappointment of Captain
Anceschi, who is a more formal
military man and cannot stand
Father Matteo’s constant
meddling in police business.
An especially close relatonship is
formed with Marshal Cecchini,
the two joke and engage in gags
in every episode.Still determined
to restore justice wherever he
can, Father Matteo finds himself
caught up, yet again, in assisting
the law in solving criminal cases.
While Father Matteo's friendship
with Marshall Cecchini is
consolidated, his contacts with
the tight-lipped Captain Anceschi
are much more formal, and the
officer is less than enthusiastic
about the Father's constant
presence in the Carabinieri police
station. Despite his disapproval,
the two always end up reaching
the same conclusion in regard to
the difficult cases they encounter.
Don Matteo's adventures
continue. The Gubbio priest,
gifted with exceptional intuition
and a profound sense of justice,
continues to help all those in
need. In each episode, he works
with the local police to solve a
mystery, earning the admiration
of Marshal Cecchini (his close
friend) and the barely disguised
irritation of Captain Anceschi.
Each time, he manages to find
the real culprit, clearing the
person unfairly accused of the
crime.

When noted gynaecologist and

Two objects found on the scene
nag at Sepe: a rose from the
garden of Turri Spaccesi, an aging
Mafia boss, and a pair of panty
hose like the ones worn by Silvia,
the Inspector's live-in companion.
Luca visits Spaccesi, who is
worried about an underling
named Ciro. The Inspector looks
up Ciro, who threatens him with

A maniac is out to kill the famous
actress Nina Rox, who is in town
for a photo shoot. But first, he
mistakenly murders a friend of

afar, and to Turbo, who saves her
from two more attempts on her
life. The investigation leads to
Nina’s make-up man, Raymond
Pascali, but he is killed by a
mysterious accomplice before he
can be apprehended.
When Lina and Ivo Gennari are
found shot to death and their
son, Maurizio, critically wounded,
ten year-old Carlotta is left
untouched, yet she is left
speechless by the trauma. Only
Turbo seems to be able

kidnapped. Luca's superiors
assign only official police dogs to
the case. But Luca and Turbo,
working on their own, discover
that Massimino is not really his
parents' child.
Instead, he is the son of a
prostitute who had sold the boy
to Antonio Mariani, the false
father. Either the real mother has
taken him back, or her pimp has
kidnapped Massimino to force
the woman to return to the
streets. Turbo, however, fails to
sniff out any "leads" among the

This series tells about the
adventures of a captain with the
Italian Financial Police and his
team, made up of men and
women who, endowed with

illegal traffic and the crooks
behind it. Alongside their
investigative work, we discover
their personal stories and the
minor and major dramas in their
families and their lives.
At the end of the first two
episodes, entitled “OPERATION
DYNAMITE”, Captain Traversari
dies tragically. In the next two
episodes, “OPERATION HAWALA”,
the new Captain, Francesco
Spada, slowly wins the trust of
the squad, only to find himself, in
the two episodes that follow,
“OPERATION ST. ISIDRO”,
involved in a stormy relationship
with his direct superior’s
daughter. In the last two
episodes, “OPERATION ANABOL”
and “OPERATION FOURTH MAN”,
the Captain, having decided to
abandon love and concentrate
on his work, is saved from a
killer’s bullets by the woman of
his life.

A thriller with modern stories

dealing with serial killers,
reporting to prosecutors and
superiors and even, at grave

Inspired by the four famous
novels by Valerio Varesi, each film
follows an investigation by
Soneri, Ferrara Police Chief. He
works with a faithful squad on a

calm world of the wealthy
countryside.
Each of the new season’s six
episodes revolves around a
particularly puzzling crime that
calls into action Inspector Soneri,
head of the investigative squad in
the apparently peaceful, wellheeled Italian city of Ferrara. A
gruff, uncompromising lone wolf,
Soneri leads his equally
individualistic team of detectives
as they resolve cases that bring to
the surface hidden tragedies,
unspoken secrets, unhealed
grudges, wounds and acts of
vengeance that appear all the
more startling in such an idyllic
setting.

Alina is determined to find the
