(ASSODIGITALE.IT) Holidaymakers can now relax and securely
go on their well-earned beach holidays. Business travellers
can now securely travel to coastal bus iness capitals.
Res idents of coastal areas need no longer fear for their
health or their lives.
In future, travellers will be warned in time of
catastrophes like the tsunami that occurred more then a
year ago in Asia, with the world- wide unique tsunami alarm
system for everyone. In every reachable place in the world,
people can receive a mes sage on their mobile phone in cas e
there is a threat to their lives in places where they are. They
only have to register their mobile phone with the Tsunami
Alarm Sys tem and in the event of an alarm it will s end a
message that cannot be ignored. "We bring an attractive
business opportunity for merchants in coastal areas to
Asia/Pacific", says Prof. Dr. Wolfram Reiners.
Tsunamis are caused by the sudden displacement of huge
bodies of water. Most tsunamis are the result of earthquakes
or seaquakes, or are set off after submarine landslides. The
term "tsunami" is Japanese and means "big wave in the
harbour". Tsunamis can travel at speeds up to 1000 km/h, or
close to 17 kilometres a minute.
People are not only in danger in far away countries, but also on
European coasts. While children are building sandcastles on the
Mediterranean and their parents are basking in the sun, no one
thinks of a lethal flood wave. Yet, in the Mediterranean and the
Atlantic Ocean, tsunamis are not as rare as many people believe:
About 10 per cent of all tsunamis happen in these regions.
Measuring stations all around the world operate day and night to be
able to warn quickly and reliably of tsunamis: Seismic sensors
measure the earth tremors. Pressure and velocity sensors in the
oceans detect fast changes of water bodies in the sea. Advance
warning systems check first alarm signals. With the Tsunami alarm
system, users can visit popular holiday destinations at the seaside
now without having to worry about their safety or life and health of
family and children travelling with them. Subscribers to the
Tsunami Alarm System receive a warning on their mobile phones,
promptly and virtually anywhere in the world. Users can be sure
that the Tsunami Alarm System does not overlook any warning
messages and that a warning will set off an alarm on his mobile
phone as soon as possible.
Despite the complex technologies behind the alarm system, it is
very easy to use for subscribers. Coastal residents, tourists,
business travellers, employees of companies working in coastal
regions, for example tour guides, can subscribe to the Tsunami
alarm system by simply entering the number of their mobile phone
on the web site, thus quickly enabling the alarm system on their
phone. Nothing has to be installed or downloaded. As the system is
so easy to use, some international companies are already interested
in providing their employees with the Tsunami alarm system to
offer them additional security for their stay in coastal regions.

The Tsunami alarm system works wherever the user can connect to
a GSM mobile phone network, even in developing countries and in
remote areas. The tsunami alarm system uses "Flash SMS"
messaging which "pushes" the message onto the front screen of the
phone even if it is being used.
The Tsunami alarm system was invented and developed by the
German scientists Professor Dr. Eduard Heindl and Professor Dr.
Wolfram Reiners, Tsunami Institute A3M AG in Tübingen/Germany.
Both are constantly surveying the quality of the system and are
developing it further through their research to the benefit of
subscribers. While the research results have been filed for patent
protection in Germany, further patents are in preparation.
Customers can subscribe to the tsunami alarm system on the web
site www. ts unami-alarm-s ys tem. com . The one-year subscription costs
only 29.95 Euro. There is also a monthly subscription for
holidaymakers available for the price of 9.95 Euro.

About the Tsunami alarm s ys tem:
The idea of a tsunami alarm system arose in December 2004 in the
aftermath of the devastating destruction of the Tsunami
catastrophe in the Indian Ocean. The German professor Eduard
Heindl and professor Wolfram Reiners wanted to use modern
information technology to be able to warn people in time in case of
similar occurrences, thus being able to better protect human life in
the future. To achieve this, many systems must work together. The
technical details of the Tsunami alarm system are filed for patent
protection at the German patent office. Tsunami Alarm System is a
product of the Tsunami Institute A3M AG under the presidency of
Wolfram Reiners und Eduard Heindl.

Tsunami Alarm System ready for the Global Market
Andreas Koch res ponsible for Customer Service, Marketing
and Sales
Tuebingen (Germany), February 8, 2007 . Dr. Andreas Koch
has been announced new Chief Customer Officer (CCO) of
Tuebingen A3 M AG at the beginning of this year where he is
also responsible for the Ts unami Institute. The 4 5 year old is
an expert in the field of Customer Service, Marketing and
Sales and takes over a leading position that is not very
common in Germany yet.
According to his motto "A good product alone does not satisfy the
customer", Koch sees his task in extending functionality and user
friendliness of the Tsunami Alarm Systems as well as in
coordinating the worldwide marketing. By establishing the business
unit Tsunami Institute, the company has taken the first step into
this direction. "Primarily, we consider ourselves as a service
provider, very similar to an aid organisation. That's one of the
reasons why we want to focus on increased customer orientation",
emphasises Koch.
Koch, who has a PhD in physics, founded his first IT Company in
1998 in Tuebingen; four years later, he employed 25 people. After
the consolidation of Dr. Koch AG with transtec AG, Andreas Koch
was responsible for the Competence Centre. In 2006, he became
Head of Technology and worked in this position until he took over
the CCO post for A3M.

Earthquakes can happen anywhere and more frequently than is
realised. Every day, seismic stations all over the world record eight
to ten tremors of size four or more on the Richter scale. Only a few
of them are greater than size six, which would result in a disaster
of the dimensions of the recent earthquake in Pakistan.
The A3M AG online service gives governments, disaster agencies,
aid organisations, tourists, tour guides and journalists sufficient
notice of such incidents and enables them to quickly initiate
supporting measures. The Earthquake Information System processes
seismic data from all over the world in only a few seconds. If there
is a tremor in the earth's crust, it is recorded by hundreds of
seismic stations worldwide. The information is then sent to
earthquake research centres via satellite and fibre connections and
the data is released on the internet. The Earthquake Information
System analyses the data and prepares up-to-date warnings, which
can be found on www. ts unami-alarm-s ys tem. com . All current
earthquake warnings are listed with the exact date, hour, size and
the affected regions. Supplementary information and background
data about earthquakes top the service.
In the future, this information will also be transmitted to mobile
phones. People to whom this information is of special interest such
as journalists or disaster helpers can then receive earthquake
warnings within a few minutes. Thus, time can be saved and aid
can be sent to stricken regions much faster.
The earthquake warning system is based on the technologies of the
Tsunami Alarm System. This system forewarns holidaymakers and
coastal residents of potential tsunami disasters like the one that
devastated the coastal regions in Asia last year. In every reachable
place in the world, people can receive a message on their mobile
phone in case there is a threat to their lives in places where they
are. They only have to register their mobile phone with the Tsunami
Alarm System and in the event of an alarm it will send a message
that cannot be ignored.
