1. Collegare l’Access Point

installare l’AP seguendo quanto indicato sotto:
a. Spegnere il computer, il modem ADSL, e l’AP.
b. Scegliere una buona collocazione per l’AP. Si consiglia per esempio
vicino al centro dell’area in cui il PC sarà collegato in modalità wireless.
c. Posizionare l’antenna nella giusta direzione.
d. Collegare i PC ed ogni Switch/Hub alla rete LAN tramite la porta LAN
dell’AP, come mostrato nella figura.
f.
Collegare l’alimentatore all’AP e alla corrente.
g. Accendere il PC e avviare la connessione ad Internet.
h. Assicurarsi che i Led dell’AP si illuminino in questo modo:
Led Power : Illuminato
Led System : Lampeggia
Led di Link/Act (WAN&LAN): Illuminati
Led WLAN: Lampeggia

2. Inizio attività dell’AP
Per collegarsi all’AP, dovreste installare il protocollo TCP/IP nella modalità
“Obtain an IP address automatically” del vostro PC.
a. Collegarsi all’AP digitando http://192.168.1.1 nella barra degli indirizzi web.
b. Si apre una finestra di dialogo. Inserire Admin come User Name e
come Password, entrambi scritti a lettere minuscole. Quindi
cliccare OK o premere il tasto Enter.
3. Collegarsi ad Internet

e cliccare NEXT per ottenere la schermata seguente; inserire

IP Dinamico e cliccare NEXT, l’AP otterrà i parametri automaticamente
dall’ISP, senza bisogno che voi li inseriate.
b. Cliccare Next, apparirà la schermata Choose WAN connectionType.
Assicurarsi che il tipo di connessione sia quello fornito dal vostro ISP
selezionarlo a quindi cliccare Next.

Al termine di queste impostazioni premere il tasto FINISH. L’AP
Hamlet ora vi permetterà di connettersi ad Internet.
NOTA BENE: Se doveste incontrare delle difficoltà a compilare questa
parte, consultare la User Guide che si trova nel CD in dotazione.

Quick Installation Guide
1. Connecting the Access Point
Before you install the Access Point Hamlet (AP), you should have
connected your PC to the Internet through your broadband service
successfully. If there are any problems, please contact your ISP. After
that, please install the router according to the following steps. Don't
forget to pull out the power plug and keep your hands dry.

a. Power off your PC(s), Cable/DSL modem, and the AP.
b. Locate an optimum location for the router. The best place is
usually near the center of the area in which your PC(s) will
wirelessly connect. .
c. Adjust the direction of the antenna. Upright is a good direction.
d. Connect the PC(s) and each Switch/Hub on your LAN to the
LAN Ports on the AP, shown in the following figure.
Connect the AC power adapter to the AC power socket
on the AP, and the other end into an electrical outlet.
The AP will start to work automatically.
g. Power on your PC(s) and Cable/DSL modem.
h. When all of the devices boot up completely, make sure
that the AP's LEDs light as follows:
Power LED: Lit up
System LED: Flashing
Link/Act LEDs(WAN&LAN): Lit up
WLAN LED: Flashing

2. Login to the AP
To connect to the AP Hamlet, you should set up the TCP/IP Protocol in
"Obtain an IP address automatically" mode on your PC(s).
If you need instructions as to how to do this, please refer to Appendix B
in the User Guide on the Resource CD.
a. Connect to the AP by typing http://192.168.1.1 in the address field
of web browser.
b. After a moment, a login window will appear. Enter admin for
the User Name and Password, both in lower case letters.
Then click OK or press ENTER.

3. Connecting the Internet
a. If the User Name and Password are correct, you can configure the AP
using the web browser. Please click the Quick Setup link on the left of
the main menu and the Quick Setup screen will appear :

and click Next , the AP Hamlet will automatically get IP parameter from
your ISP without entering any parameters.
b. Click Next, the Choose WAN Connection Type screen will appear.
Make sure which connection type has been provided by your ISP,
choose it, and then click Next.

III. If you have a fixed IP (or static IP) account, select Static IP and click
Next to load the following figure, and fill the blanks with the parameters

At the end of the Quick Setup, click the Finish button to exit this
Quick Setup. The AP Hamlet should now be connecting you to
the Internet.
