Gli idrossiacidi sono “acidi organici” ed è possibile
trovarli in due forme: alfa e beta. Gli alfa-idrossiacidi
hanno la capacità di rimuovere lo strato disidratato
e vecchio (corneociti o cellule morte) che causano
l’aspetto polveroso e opaco della pelle.
Hanno forti proprietà rigenerative che uniformizzano
la pigmentazione e favoriscono l’idratazione
cutanea. I beta-idrossiacidi sono invece composti
aromatici, tra i quali il più conosciuto è l’acido
salicilico, contenuto in natura nella corteccia del
Salice. Sono molecole più grosse rispetto agli alfa
idrossiacidi e agiscono più in superficie.
Hydroxy acids are “organic acids” and they can
be found in two forms: alpha and beta. The
alpha-hydroxy acids have the ability to remove the
dehydrated and old layer (corneocytes or dead
cells) that cause a powdery and opaque effect on
skin. They have strong regenerating properties that
balance pigmentation and favour skin hydration.
The beta-hydroxy acids however have aromatic
ingredients, including the most famous which is
salicylic acid, contained in nature in the bark of
willow. They are much larger molecules compared
with the alpha hydroxy acids and they act on the
surface.
