MISURE DI SICUREZZA
Prima di accendere il computer, si consiglia di leggere attentamente le seguenti istruzioni.
1.
Spegnere il Personal Computer prima di effettuare la pulizia. Pulire soltanto con
un panno umido o asciutto. Non spruzzare direttamente alcun liquido sullo
schermo.
2.
La presa di alimentazione, utilizzata per inserire il cavo di alimentazione del
Personal Computer, deve essere vicino al sistema e facilmente accessibile. Non
utilizzare prese dove siano presenti altre apparecchiature elettriche che possano
danneggiare il corretto funzionamento del personal computer con accensioni e
spegnimenti .
3.
Assicurarsi che la tensione di alimentazione sia quella indicata sull’alimentatore
del personal computer, prima di inserire la spina nella presa.
4.
Nel caso che il personal computer sia collegato con altre apparecchiature elettriche
sotto lo stesso circuito, assicurarsi che non si superi il carico consentito
dall’interruttore di alimentazione e che la corrente non superi la portata (in ampere)
del cavo di alimentazione.
5.
Verificare che non vi sia umidità nell’area del cavo di alimentazione, nel cavo di
prolunga e nella presa di alimentazione.
6.
Installare il personal computer in posizione corretta per evitare danni causati da
accidentali cadute.
7.
Questo computer è dotato di un sistema operativo. Il sistema operativo viene
caricato prima dell’installazione del qualsiasi altro software.

8.
Scollegare il cavo di alimentazione prima di ogni installazione. Assicurasi che sia
il personal computer che i dispositivi esterni siano spenti. L’impulso improvviso
di alimentazione può rovinare tutti i componenti sensibili. Assicurarsi inoltre che
il computer sia collegato correttamente.
9.
Durante l’installazione di tutti i componenti interni ed esterni, assicurarsi di non
avere cariche statiche. La maggior parte dei componenti elettronici sono sensibili
alle cariche elettrostatiche. Usare le opportune cinghiette collegate al polso per
essere collegati a terra e utilizzare tutti i componenti elettronici schermati con
dispositivi antistatici.
10. Le feritoie sulla custodia del personal computer sono opportunamente
dimensionate per garantire una corretta ventilazione del computer evitando
surriscaldamenti dei componenti elettronici all’interno. NON COPRIRE LE
ALETTE DI RAFFREDDAMENTO.
11. La luminosità dello schermo piatto diminuirà con uso. Tuttavia, le ore di uso
varieranno in funzione delle condizioni ambientali.
12. Se il calcolatore è fornito di un pannello del tipo “touch screen” evitare l’uso di
oggetti taglienti per far funzionare il pannello. Graffiature sul pannello “touch
screen” possono provocare una cattiva calibratura o la non-funzione al pannello
stesso.
13. Il pannello del LCD non deve subire scosse o vibrazioni. Nel montare il calcolatore,
assicurasi che il pannello sia installato saldamente.
INFORMAZIONI GENERALI
Il PC integrato è composto da un pannello multimediale da 15" e da un processore INTEL
Pentium® progettati per dare una facile integrazione tra uomo-macchina in uno spazio
contenuto.
All’interno del personal computer vi sono delle interfacce I/O, pannello da 15" con
risoluzione XGA, touch screen, schede di rete e molte altre funzioni multimediali.
La funzionalità completa del PC accoppiata con il relativo braccio permette l’installazione
di una vasta gamma di periferiche.
Le caratteristiche speciali, non comunemente utilizzate nei personal computer commerciali,
permettono il funzionamento in ambienti con condizioni ostili. Completamente configurabile
il PC integrato Pentium4 è una piattaforma ideale per tutte l’applicazioni in ristrette condizioni
di spazio.

UTILIZZO DEL SISTEMA
IDENTIFICAZIONE DEL SISTEMA
Prima di iniziare a lavorare con il PC bisognerà familiarizzare con il sistema e la disposizione
delle porte I/O.
Vista frontale
Sul fronte c’è lo schermo LCD da 15" del tipo touch screen , gli altoparlanti, l’interfaccia
IrDA (riservata) e i tre led indicanti l’accensione, lo stato dell’Hard disk e il collegamento
alla rete.
Viste laterali
Sul lato di sinistra c’è un pannello scorrevole per l’alloggiamento di due porte PCI.
Sul lato di destra ci sono gli alloggiamenti per il CD / DVD drive e per il floppy driver (se
richiesto).
Vista posteriore
Sulla parte posteriore si può trovare l’interruttore generale e tutte le porte I/O sotto il
pannello di protezione dei cavi.

Per installare il PC integrato per l’utilizzo, bisognerà eseguire i seguenti punti.
I componenti sono nella confezione del PC integrato.
• Collegare il PC attraverso il cavo collegato all’alimentatore CA/CC e il cavo di
alimentazione.
• Collegare la tastiera e il mouse attraverso i connettori PS/2 oppure installare il
dispositivo wireless della tastiera su una porta USB.
• Accendere il PC commutando l’interruttore di alimentazione situato nella parte
posteriore sotto la copertura cavi.
• Nelle condizioni normali il sistema viene già consegnato configurato e pronto per l’uso.

SETUP DEL SISTEMA PER L’UTILIZZO
Nelle condizioni in cui i parametri di configurazione vengano modificati bisognerà modificare
lo standard del CMOS.
1. Il sistema è pronto per essere avviato per la prima volta.
2. I dispositivi hardware sono collegati al PC integrato.
3. La memoria CMOS ha perso l’alimentazione e le informazioni sono state cancellate.
Il setup del BIOS è immagazzinato in ROM, che può essere configurato premendo il tasto
< DEL > sulla tastiera quando il sistema è in fase di avviamento.
Per mantenere le informazioni di setup, quando il PC è spento, le informazioni sono
memorizzate in una RAM di CMOS attraverso una batteria tampone.
Quando il PC viene acceso, il sistema leggerà le configurazioni immagazzinate nella RAM di
CMOS e le confronterà con le apparecchiature installate durante la fase di autoverifica.
Nel caso accada un qualsiasi errore o disadattamento, un messaggio di errore sarà indicato
sullo schermo ed il PC richiederà di effettuare un setup del BIOS.
SISTEMA OPERATIVO E INSTALLAZIONE DEI DRIVER
Il PC integrato è dotato di un sistema operativo originale con licenza d’uso.
Nel caso di dovesse reinstallare il sistema operativo e relativi driver, ci sono diversi metodi
per poter caricare il sistema operativo:
1. Attraverso il lettore CD /DVD ROM
2. Attraverso la rete Ethernet: bisognerà configurare il PC affinché possa effettuare
il boot dalla porta di rete.
Il PC integrato è fornito dei drivers audio e di utilità per la scheda video VGA e di rete
Ethernet oltre al sistema di touch screen.
LE POSSIBILI INSTALLAZIONI
Il PC integrato è progettato per un sistema universale di montaggio.
L’applicazione a braccio consente di utilizzare 2 sistemi di foratura VESA; il 75*75mm e il
100*100mm sul lato posteriore del telaio.

CONNESSIONI I/O
Questo capitolo descrive le porte I/O e come usare le interfacce I/O per collegarle ai dispositivi
esterni. Le interfacce I/O situate sul lato posteriore del telaio sono usate per collegare le
periferiche esterne, come un mouse, una tastiera, un video, i dispositivi di serie o la
stampante parallela... ecc. Prima di effettuare il collegamento, assicurasi che il personal
computer ed i dispositivi periferici siano spenti quali:
• Lettori di COMPACT FLASH CARD
• Segnali S-VIDEO
• Segnali RCA
• Interfacce D-I/O
• Periferiche IEEE 1394
PORTE PARALLELE
Il PC integrato può supportare sia i protocolli EPP e ECP della porta parallela, Possono
essere usate un’ampia gamma di stampanti, dispositivi ZIP, scanner paralleli e qualsiasi
periferica con dispositivo parallelo.
L’interfaccia stampante, sul PC integrato ha un connettore D-SUB a 25 pin (femmina).
Per collegare un dispositivo parallelo seguire la procedura:
1. Spegnere il sistema ed il dispositivo parallelo.
2. Inserire il connettore maschio nella presa a 25 pin D-SUB e stringere le viti di bloccaggio
sulla spina.
3. Accendere il sistema e la periferica collegata.
4. Far riferimento al manuale della periferica parallela per le istruzioni di configurazione
per riconoscere il nuovo dispositivo.
5. In alcuni casi si renderà necessario avviare il programma di Bios setup per cambiare la
configurazione hardware.
PORTE SERIALI (COM x 4)
Il PC integrato ha installato N° 4 porte seriali, posizionate sul retro del pannello, pronte per
essere collegate ad un’ampia gamma di dispositivi seriali.
COM1, COM3 and COM4 sono RS-232 mentre la COM2 può essere configurata come
RS-232/485, la selezione si realizza all’interno del PC integrato per mezzo di ponticelli
prestabiliti. Ciascuna porta ha la possibilità di avere le tensioni +5V/+12V sul piedino 9
permettendo di utilizzare una vasta gamma di dispositivi seriali. La tensione 5V/12 può
essere selezionata attraverso dei ponticelli sulla scheda madre del PC integrato.
Riferirsi sempre alla seguente tabella:

JP2 : COM1 & COM 2 Pin 9 scelta della tensione 5V / 12V
Nel caso della presenza del modulo touch screen, il set di default, è occupato dalla COM3.
Le porte dalla COM1 alla COM4 sono tutte con connettore a 9 pin del tipo D-SUB.
Per collegare una periferica seriale al PC integrato seguire la procedura:
1. Spegnere il PC integrato e i dispositivi seriali.
2. Collegare il cavo dell’interfaccia seriale al connettore 9 pin D-SUB e stringere le viti di
bloccaggio sulla spina.
3. Accendere il PC e il dispositivo seriale collegato.
4. Far riferimento al manuale della periferica seriale per le istruzioni di configurazione per
riconoscere il nuovo dispositivo.
5. Nel caso si renda necessario specificare l’indirizzo o il valore di IRQ si renderà necessario
avviare il programma di Bios setup per cambiare la configurazione hardware.
PORTA DI RETE 100/10 BASE-T ETHERNET (RJ-45)
Il PC integrato possiede due porte 100/10 Base compatibli Ethernet (RJ-45) per le
connessioni di rete.
Per collegare una rete al PC integrato seguire la procedura:
1. Spegnere il PC integrato e gli swich/ hub di rete.
2. Inserire il terminale della rete 100/10 Base-T sulla presa RJ-45 del PC.

INTERFACCIA VGA
Il PC integrato ha un connettore analogico RGB a 15 pin posto nel pannello posteriore.
Può supportare, oltre al proprio LCD anche un monitor esterno CRT o analogico al tempo
stesso.
Il pannello LCD a 15" del PC ha una risoluzione di 1024*768, pertanto, la risoluzione di un
eventuale monitor esterno, CRT o analogico, sarà di 1024*768. La connessione può avvenire
attraverso un cavo VGA a 15 Pin D-SUB.
Nel caso ci siano software dove la risoluzione imposta è di 800*600, si visualizzerà
solamente una parte dello schermo. Se l’applicazione deve funzionare a schermo pieno,
bisognerà aggiornare i driver del sistema VGA con un programma di utilità auto di espansione.
Tuttavia, dovuta alla limitazione della risoluzione, il modo di testo risulterà un po’ distorto.
INTERFACCIA TASTIERA PS/2
Il PC integrato presenta un connettore standard PS/2, posto sulla parte posteriore del PC.
Nel caso si utilizzi una tastiera AT si renderà necessario collegare un’interfaccia PS/2-AT.
INTERFACCIA MOUSE PS/2
Il PC integrato presenta un connettore mouse standard PS/2, posto sulla parte posteriore
del PC. Una semplice connessione al connettore permetterà l’utilizzo di un mouse PS/2.
CONTROLLO DI LUMINOSITÀ (VR)
Il PC integrato fornisce un controllo di VR per registrare la luminosità del pannello LCD.
Il controllo di VR ha un segno “+”. Servirà un cacciavite a croce per il controllo di luminosità
del video.
PORTA D-I/O (DIGITAL INPUT & OUTPUT)
Il PC integrato ha 2-canali D-I/O che possono essere utilizzati per dei semplici controlli di
automazione del sistema. Il segnale I/O digitale può essere configurato per controllare
l’apertura/ chiusura di un dispositivo esterno o per percepire un segnale d’allarme come
può essere l’interruzione di alimentazione da un gruppo di continuità (UPS) o per fare il
controllo di sicurezza dello studio.
INTERFACCIA AUDIO (LINEA-IN, MIC-IN, SPK-OUT)
L’interfaccia audio presenta tre prese, microfono-in, linea-in e l’altoparlante-out.
Inserendo un microfono nella presa viene utilizzato per registrare il suono o la voce.
Inserendo un segnale nella presa Linea-in , viene utilizzato per immettere l’audio da un
dispositivo audio esterno quali un CD player, un registratore o una radio.
La presa dell’altoparlante-out permette di ascoltare l’audio dai dispositivi esterni quali gli
altoparlanti o i trasduttori auricolari. Il dispositivo audio può direttamente essere fissato
alle prese. Da notare che il driver del dispositivo audio deve essere installato prima
dell’utilizzo del dispositivo audio.

Il PC integrato è equipaggiato di quattro porte USB 2,0.
Un semplice collegamento del cavo di interfaccia del dispositivo del USB alla presa USB
farà il collegamento.
Prima di collegare il dispositivo USB, ricordasi di installare il driver del dispositivo.
Sul sistema operativo Windows XP bisognerà verificare l’installazione del SP2, in questo
modo il sistema riconoscerà automaticamente i dispositivi USB 2,0.
SETUP DEL BIOS (AWARD BIOS SETUP)
Accendere il PC e premere il tasto < DEL > si avvierà immediatamente il Setup del Bios. Il
menu principale di messa a punto comparirà sullo schermo.
Utilizzare i tasti freccia per muoversi fra le configurazioni e premere < Entrer > per entrare
nel sub-menu.

Setup Defaults indica i valori dei parametri che il sistema dovrebbe avere nella
migliore configurazione.
SET PASSWORD:
Cambia, stabilisce o disabilita la password. Permette gli accessi al sistema e al setup
oppure solamente al setup.
SAVE & EXIT SETUP:
Salva i valori del CMOS e esce dal setup.
EXIT WITHOUT SAVING:
Abbandona non salvando i valori modificati del CMOS e esce dal setup.

AWARD BIOS SETUP MENU PRINCIPALE
Accendere il PC e premere il tasto < DEL > si avvierà immediatamente il Setup del
AWARD BIOS. Il menu principale di messa a punto comparirà sullo schermo.
Utilizzare i tasti freccia per muoversi fra le configurazioni e premere < Entrer > per entrare
nel sub-menu.
CARATTERISTICHE STANDARD DI CMOS
Scegliendo STANDARD CMOS FEATURE. Questo menu permette che gli utenti
configurino i componenti di sistema quali la data, l’ora, l’azionamento di disco rigido,
l’azionamento di dischetto ed il tipo di display. Il sistema BIOS rivelerà automaticamente
la capacità di memoria, pertanto non si rende necessario nessun tipo di calibrazione.
STANDARD CMOS FEATURES
DATA
La data è formata da <giorno>, <mese>,<anno>. Il giorno parte da domenica a sabato; il
mese da gennaio a dicembre. La data dal 1 al 31 (valore massimo per mese); anno dal 1994
al 2079.
TEMPO
Il tempo è formato in <ore>,<minuti>,<secondi>. Il tempo è calcolato sulla base delle 24
ore. Per esempio, 1 p.m. corrisponde alle 13:00:00.
PRIMARY HDDS / SECONDARY HDDS
La categoria identifica i tipi di dischi rigidi dalla lettera C alla F che è stata installata nel PC.
Ci sono due tipi: tipo auto e tipo definibile dagli utenti. Il tipo User è utente-definibile;

for one year starting from the date of delivery to the original purchaser.
IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Before getting started, read these instructions and save them for later reference.
1.
Turn off the computer before cleaning. Clean with a damp or dry cloth only. Do
not spray any liquid cleaner on screen directly.
2.
The power outlet socket used to plug in the computer power cord must be
located near the system and easily accessible. Do not use outlets on the same
circuit of the systems that regularly switched on and off.
3.
Make sure the voltage of the power source is correct before connecting the
computer to the power outlet.
4.
If the computer is sharing an extension cord with other devices, make sure the
total ampere rating of the devices plugged into the extension cord does not exceed
the cord’s ampere rating.
5.
Do not expose the power cord, extension cord and power outlet to moisture.
6.
Install the computer on a reliable surface to prevent damage caused by dropping.
7.
This computer is equipped with an operating system. The operating system
must be loaded first before installing any software into the computer.
8.
Disconnect the power cord from the computer bifore any installation. Make sure
both the computer and the external devices are turned off. The sudden surge of
power may ruin any sensitive components. Also make sure the computer is
properly grounded.

During installation of any internal components, be sure to ground yourself to
keep from any static charge. Most electronic components are sensitive to the
static electric charge. Use a grounding wrist strap and place all electronic
components in any static-shielded devices.
10. The openings on the computer enclosure are for the cabin ventilation to prevent
the computer from overheating. DO NOT COVER THE OPENINGS.
11. The brightness of the flat panel display will decrease with use. However, hours
of use will vary depending on the application environment.

If the computer is equipped with a touch panel, avoid using sharp objects to
operate the touch panel. Scratches on the touch panel may cause mal-calibration
or non-function to the panel.
13. The LCD panel display is not subject to shock or vibration. When assembling the
computer, make sure it is securely installed.

USING THE SYSTEM
IDENTIFYING THE SYSTEM
Before getting started, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the system and the I/O
arrangement of the Integrated PC.

SYSTEM SETUP FOR THE FIRST-TIME USE
To set up the Integrateg PC for the first-time use, you should have the following items
ready. The items are either in the accessory box or available in any computer stores.
Power adapter & power cord PS/2 or AT keyboard PS/2 or serial mouse
Installation Procedures:
1. Connect the female end of the adapter power cord to the AC inlet located at the rear side
of the panel PC.
2. Connect the 3-pin male end of the power cord to an electrical outlet.
3. Connect a PS/2 keyboard or an AT keyboard to keyboard port. If you are using an AT
keyboard, you need an adapter (AT to PS/2 KB) for this connection.
4. Connect the PS/2 mouse to the PS/2 mouse port. If you are using a serial mouse, it can
be connected to the COM port.
5. Power on the panel PC by switching the power switch located at the rear cover.

Running the BIOS Setup
If you are a commercial user, the Integradet PC should have been properly set up and
configured by your dealer. You may still find it necessary to change the system configuration
information. In this case, you need to run the system’s BIOS setup program.
Under the following conditions, the CMOS settings are to be changed.
1. The system is starting for the first time.
2. The hardware devices attached to the Integrated PC have been changed.
3. The CMOS memory has lost power and the configuration information has been erased.
The BIOS setup program is stored in ROM, which can be accessed by pressing <DEL>
key on the keyboard immediately when the system is powered on.
In order to retain the specified setup information when the system power is turned off, the
system setup information is stored in a battery-backed CMOS RAM. The battery is to
ensure the settings will not be erased when the computer is turned off or reset. When the
computer is powered on again, the system will read the settings stored in the CMOS RAM
and compare them to the equipment check conducted during the power on self-test (POST).
If any error or mismatch occurs, an error message will be shown on the screen and the
computer will be prompted to run the setup program.
OPERATING SYSTEM AND DRIVER INSTALLATION
The Integrated PC is equipped with an operative system when delivered from the original
manufacturer. If you are a commercial user, the system is likely to have been pre-installed
proper operating system and software drivers by your dealer or system integrator.
If the system is not pre-installed with any system OS and drivers or you intend to install
your preferred ones, there are several ways to load OS and software into the system.
1. Via the CD-ROM
2. Via Ethernet: You can boot up the system via Ethernet boot Rom and download
system OS or software from the network.
Recent releases of operating systems always include setup programs that load automatically
and guide you through the installation. You can also refer to your OS user manual for
instructions on formatting or partitioning the hard disk drive before any software installation.

I/O CONNECTION
This chapter describes the Integrated PC I/O ports and how to use the I/O interface to
connect to external devices.
The I/O interfaces located at the back side of the chassis are used to connect external
peripheral devices, such as a mouse, a keyboard, a monitor, serial devices or parallel
printer…etc.
Before any connection, make sure that the computer and the peripheral devices are turned off.

PARALLEL PORT
The Integrated PC can support the latest EPP and ECP parallel port protocols. It can be
used to connect to a wide array of printers, ZIP drive, parallel scanner and any other
parallel devices.
The printer interface on the PC Series is a 25-pin female D-SUB connector. To connect any
parallel device, follow the steps below:
1. Turn off the system and the parallel devices.
2. Plug in the male connector of the parallel device to the 25-pin female D-SUB connector
and fasten the retaining screws.
3. Turn on the system and the attached parallel devices.
4. Refer to the parallel device’s manual for instruction to configure the operation environment
to recognize the new attached devices.
5. You may need to run the CMOS setup to change the hardware device setup.
COM Ports x 4
The Integrated PC features with four onboard COM ports located at the rear side of the
chassis, ready to connect to a wide range of serial devices. COM1, COM3 and COM4 are
RS-232 and COM2 is RS-232/485, selected via jumper setting. COM 1,2,4 port are with
+5V/+12V power capabilities on pin 9, providing easy accommodation to a broad range of
serial devices.
The COM port 5V/12 power is selected via jumper setting on the IO–TR board. The IOTR is the IO board docked to the system motherboard to connect the onboard signal out to
the external I/O ports.

If a touch screen module is installed, for factory default setting, its controller will occupy
COM3.
COM1 to COM4 are all D-SUB 9-pin connectors. To connect to any serial device; follow
the procedures below:
1. Turn off the Integrated PC and the serial devices.
2. Attach the interface cable of the serial device to the 9-pin D-SUB serial connector. Be
sure to fasten the retaining screws.
3. Turn on the computer and the attached serial devices.
4. Refer to the serial device’s manual for instruction to configure the operation environment
to recognize the new attached devices.
5. If the serial device needs specified IRQ or address, you may need to run the CMOS
setup to change the hardware device setup.
100/10 BASE-T ETHERNET (RJ-45)
The Integrated PC provides two 100/10 Base compatible Ethernet (RJ-45) interface. For
network connection, follow the instructions below.
1. Turn of the Integrated PC system and the Ethernet hubs.
2. Plug in one end of cable of a 100/10 Base-T hub to the system’s RJ-45 phone jack. The
pin assignment of the RJ-45 is listed as follow:

VGA INTERFACE
The Integrated PC has a 15-pin analog RGB connector located at the rear side of the
chassis. It can support its own LCD display and an expansion CRT or analog monitor at the
same time. However, as the LCD panel used in the 15" system is of the resolution of 1024
x 768, therefore, to support a CRT or analog monitor simultaneously, the monitor’s VGA
resolution has to be set to 1024 x 768 for Integrated PC. The connection to an analog
monitor is an easy plug-in of the VGA D-SUB 15-pin connector to the RGB interface.
There is some application software that is to be executed in 800*600 resolution. When the
software is running, only part of the screen will show on the LCD display. If the application
has to run in full screen, you need to update the system VGA drivers with an auto expansion
utility. However, due to resolution limitation, the text mode will look slightly distorted.
PS/2 KEYBOARD INTERFACE
The Integrated PC provides a standard PS/2 keyboard connector located at the rear panel.
If the user would like to use AT keyboard, then an adapter to connect the PS/2 KB to AT
KB is needed.
PS/2 MOUSE INTERFACE
The Integrated PC has one PS/2 mouse connector located at the rear side. A simple plug-in
will make the connection.
VR BRIGHTNESS CONTROL (VR)
The Integrated PC provides a VR control to adjust the brightness of the LCD. The VR
control is with a “+” shape cutout on it. You will need a “+” shape screwdriver to adjust
it for display brightness control.
D-I/O (DIGITAL INPUT & OUTPUT)
The Integrated PC provides 2-channel DIO that can be used for the system’s simple
automation control needs. The digital I/O can be configured to control the opening of a cash
drawer or to sense the warning signal of an uninterrupted power system (UPS) or to do the
store security control.
AUDIO INTERFACE (LINEA-IN, MIC-IN, SPK-OUT)
The audio interface contains three jacks, microphone-in, line-in and speaker-out. The
microphone-in jack is used to record sound or voice by connecting to an external microphone.
The line-in jack is used to input audio from an external audio device such as a CD player,
tape recorder or a radio. The speaker-out jack is to output the audio to external devices such
as speakers or earphones. The audio device can be directly attached to the jacks. Please
note that the audio driver has to be installed first before using any audio device.
2.0 USB PORTS
The Integrated PC also provides four 2.0 USB ports to connect to external USB devices.
A simple plug-in of the USB device interface cable to the USB port will make the connection.
Before using the USB devices, remember to install the device driver first. On OS is Windows
XP, please down load XP service pack 2. Then system will recognize USB 2.0 devices.

Abandon all CMOS value changes and exit setup.
AWARD BIOS SETUP MAIN MENU
Power on the computer and press <DEL> immediately to run the AWARD BIOS setup.
The setup main menu will appear on the screen; Use the arrow keys to move among the
items and press <Enter> to enter the sub-menu.
STANDARD CMOS FEATURES
If the STANDARD CMOS FEATURE is selected from the main menu, the screen below
will appear. This menu allows the users to configure the system components such as date,
time, hard disk drive, floppy disk drive and display type. The system BIOS will
automatically detect the memory size; therefore no setting is needed.

DATE
The date format is <day>, <month> <date> <year>. day The day, from Sun to Sat,
determined by the BIOS and is display-only month The month, Jan. through Dec.
date The date, from 1 to 31 (or the maximum allowed in the month) year The year, from
1994 through 2079.
TIME
The times format in <hour> <minute> <second>. The time is calculated base on the 24hour military-time clock. For example, 1 p.m. is 13:00:00.
PRIMARY HDDS / SECONDARY HDDS
The category identifies the types of hard disk from drive C to F that has been installed in
the computer. There are two types: auto type, and user definable type. User type is
user-definable; Auto type which will automatically detect HDD Type.
Note that the specifications of your drive must match with the drive table. The hard disk
will not work properly if you enter improper information for this category.
If you select User Type, related information will be asked to enter to the following items.
Enter the information directly from the keyboard and press <Enter>. Such information
should be provided in the documentation form your hard disk vendor or the system
manufacturer.
