Getting started with the hands-free kit

About the kit and how to install it
The Valeo hands-free kit plug in offers the following features:
• Wireless radio connection to your mobile phone.
• Full duplex handsfree operation and echo cancellation.
• Background noise reduction.
• Voice recognition (up to 200 names)*.
• Automatic synchonization of your phonebook*.
• Pairing of up to three phones.
*Only available on some phones
The Valeo hands-free kit plug in allows you to:
• Take a call.
• Hang up.
• Make a call.
• Redial the last number.
• Use the call waiting function, etc.
Additional functions are available depending on the kind of phone you have.
The Valeo hands-free kit plug in operates:
• In half-duplex mode, when the external microphone is not in use.
• In full-duplex mode, when the external microphone is in use.
Both modes of communication are included in the system.
With the internal microphone, the microphone is not fully separated from the loudspeaker,
allowing only half-duplex calls. The driver’s voice takes priority over their contact.
The external microphone must be correctly connected to the control unit to allow full-duplex
calls. The distance between the microphone and the loudspeaker should be sufficient to cancel
echos. Both callers can talk at the same time.
Disconnecting the external microphone returns the kit to half duplex.

Speak at a normal volume, as if you were talking to someone sitting next to you. You
do not need to raise your voice: this would undermine the performance of the Valeo
hands-free kit plug in.
Microphone
The microphone must be turned towards the driver, and should ideally be installed between
the sun-visor and the inside mirror. It can also be installed in another central position. Avoid
installing the kit on a door, and check that no ventilation or air conditioning outlets blow air
directly into the microphone.
Cigar-lighter extension cord
The Valeo hands-free kit plug in works in all vehicles (except 24V trucks). Rarely, however,
the position of the cigar lighter plug requires the use of a cigar-lighter extension cord (not
included), so that the driver can reach the Valeo hands-free kit plug in easily.
Identifying the software version of the Valeo hands-free kit plug in
To find out which software version your kit is using, check the peripherals that are found during
pairing: the list will be displayed on the telephone screen. «Valeoplug V3.10», for example,
tells you that your kit is using v3.10.

Connecting the kit
With the phone switched on, connect the Valeo hands-free kit plug in to the cigar lighter
and switch on the ignition. A blue light tells you that your Valeo hands-free kit plug in is
connected.

Important: The first time you connect, you will hear the words «Please pair device».
If this is not the case, reset the system by holding the red and green buttons down
simultaneously.
Then pair your phone to the Valeo hands-free kit plug in: go to the chapter concerning your type of phone.
Your phone will now automatically connect to the kit whenever it is within a few meters’
distance.
To switch the Valeo hands-free kit plug in off, either cut the ignition or unplug the kit from
the cigar lighter.

Making and receiving calls with the
Valeo hands-free kit
(applies to all phones incorporating the Bluetooth® technology)
Making calls using voice recognition
• Press the green button once, and say the name of the person you wish to call after the beep.
To use this function, you must assign voice tags to the names in your phonebook (see the
chapter on Voice Tags that corresponds to your mobile phone).
Receiving calls
• Press the green button to pick up.
If you do not wish to take the call, press the red button.
If you are in automatic call answer mode, the call will automatically be put through.
How to hang up
• Press the red button.
Redial
• Press the green button for two seconds to redial the last number.
Call waiting
• If you are already on the phone, you are advised of a second incoming call with a call signal.
• Press the green button once to talk to the second caller.
• Press the red button once to reject the second call.
• Press the green button once to go back to the first caller.
• To end the call, press the red button once.
Adjusting the volume
• You can adjust the volume in the phone menu.

Discreet mode
• During the call, press the green button of the Valeo hands-free kit plug in to switch from
handsfree to discreet mode. The call is then sent to your phone (only for telephones with
handsfree profiles).
You can also activate discreet mode using your phone (see the instruction manual for your
mobile phone).
Erasing the memory
Hold down the red and green buttons simultaneously.

NB: After erasing the memory you will need to pair the kit again with your phone.
Using the kit with your mobile phone
Before using the kit for the first time, you must pair it with your telephone. Additional functions
are available depending on the kind of phone you have. Go to the chapter concerning your
mobile phone.

Pairing
Apply the following procedure for your phone:
For Nokia 6310, 6310i, 8910, 6650, and 7600
• In the Menu, select BLUETOOTH®, and press SELECt. Select ON.
• Go to SEARCH FOR AUDIO ACCESSORIES and press SELECT.
• SEARCHING FOR DEVICES is displayed. Wait.
• VALEOPLUG V… is displayed. Press SELECT to connect.
• PASSWORD appears. Enter 1234, then SELECT.
When you press the buttons on your phone, you will now hear the sound from the loudspeaker
of your Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
For Nokia 3650, 3600, N-Gage, and 6600
• Display the Menu, then:
• For Nokia 3650, 3600 and 6600 select the CONNECT icon, then BLUETOOTH®.
• For Nokia N-Gage, select the TOOLS icon, then BLUETOOTH®.
• Check that Bluetooth® is On, and select PAIRED DEVICES, then OPTIONS.
• Select NEW PAIRED DEVICE. The phone is searching.
• Click on STOP, then select VALEOPLUG. Wait.
• Enter PASSCODE 1234, and click on OK.
• After the beep, click on YES to accept the connection request.

When you get into your vehicle and start the ignition, your phone will request authorization to establish the Bluetooth® connection with the Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
You can bypass this request:
• Click on Menu, select BLUETOOTH®, and press SELECT.
• Select PAIRED DEVICES.
• VALEOPLUG is displayed. Click on OPTIONS.
• When you see SET AS AUTHORISED, press SELECT.
• Disable by selecting NO.
For more information, consult the instruction manual for your Nokia phone.

Voice tags
You can use your phone to assign voice tags to the names in your phonebook. The Valeo
hands-free kit plug in allows you to use these voice tags to call your contacts. Just press the
green button on the control unit, and say the name of your contact after the beep.
To assign a voice tag on your mobile phone:
For Nokia 6310, 6310i, 8910, 6650, and 7600
• Select NAMES on the phone, choose a name, and click on DETAILS.
• Click on OPTIONS, and select ADD VOICE TAG.
• Click on START and say the name that is displayed.
To remove a voice tag:
• Go to the directory and click on DETAILS, then OPTIONS.
• Go to VOICE TAG and press SELECT.
• By clicking on CHANGE, you can rerecord the voice tag.
• By clicking on ERASE, you can delete the voice tag.
For Nokia 3650, 3600, N-Gage, and 6600
• Display the main menu on your telephone, and select the CONTACTS icon.
• On your telephone, select the name that you wish to program, and press OPTIONS.
• Select OPEN, then press SELECT.
• Select DETAILS, then ADD VOICE TAG, and press SELECT.
• Click on START and say the name that is displayed.
Consult the instruction manual for your mobile phone for more information on assigning voice tags.

Specific Functions
Call a contact manually
• Dial the number on your phone. The call will automatically switch to handsfree mode.
Automatic call answer
For Nokia 6310, 6310i, 8910, 6650 and 7600
• Go to the MENU on your phone.
• Select SETTINGS, then ACCESSORY SETTINGS.
• Select HANDSFREE.
• Select AUTOMATIC ANSWER, then select ON.
For Nokia 3650, 3600, N-Gage and 6600
• Display the main menu on your phone, and select the TOOLS icon.
• Select SETTINGS, and then select:
• SETTINGS for Nokia 3650, 3600 and 6600,
• ENHANCEMENT for Nokia N-Gage.
• Select ACCESSORIES and click on HANDSFREE.
• Select AUTOMATIC ANSWER, then OPTIONS, CHANGE, and ON. Then OK.

Important: Check that the Bluetooth® option is selected.

For Philips Fisio 820 and 825
Pairing
• Press the Menu key on your telephone.
• For Philips Fisio 820, press > until SETTINGS, validate, then > until ACCESSORIES, and validate.
• For Philips Fisio 825, press > until BLUETOOTH®, and validate.
• BLUETOOTH®HEADSET is displayed. Validate by pressing 5.
• DETECT is displayed. Validate. Wait during DETECTING.
• Press 5 when you see VALEOPLUG V… Wait during DETECTING. PAIRING appears at the top of the screen.
• Enter the pairing password by typing 1234, and click on OK.
IMPORTANT: Philips Fisio 820 and 825 refuse to connect to systems incorporating the

Bluetooth® technology if a menu is displayed. In order to ensure that the phone
reconnects to the Valeo hands-free kit plug in, therefore, make sure that you return
to the home screen.
A beep indicates that pairing has been successful.
Voice tags
To assign voice tags to names in your phonebook, consult your phone’s instruction manual.
Specific Functions
Dial the number on your phone, then:
For Philips Fisio 820
• You have to switch the call to handsfree manually. During the call, press , then <. Select
ON THE HEADSET, then validate.
For Philips Fisio 825
• You can select handsfree mode before dialing. Dial the number, press , go to HEADSET CALL,
and then validate.
Discreet mode
Press , then > until ON THE HEADSET, then validate.

Pairing
• Go to the Menu,4SETTINGS, and SELECT to validate.
• 6MOD/DATA: validate with SELECT.
• 6BLUETOOTH®, and click on OPTIONS.
• If Bluetooth® is activated, ACTIVATE BT is displayed.
• If Bluetooth® is deactivated, BT ACTIVED is displayed. Select to activate this function.
• 6Search and validate with ACCESS. Wait.
• 1 FOUND then VALEOPLUG are displayed. SELECT.
• ENTER BT PIN FOR VALEOPLUG is displayed. Enter 1234, then OK.
• HANDSFREE TRUSTED is displayed, indicating that pairing has been successful.
Important: If the telephone does not display HANDSFREE TRUSTED after pairing, this proce!
dure must be repeated for the system to operate correctly. The kit must first be reset,
by pressing the red and green buttons simultaneously, and the Valeo hands-free kit
plug in must be deleted from the list of KNOWN DEVICES.
Voice tags
When you make a call using a voice tag, the Valeo hands-free kit plug in activates the phone’s
voice recognition by default, using the tags recorded on the phone, which are limited to 15. In
order to use the Valeo hands-free kit plug in’s voice recognition, you must record the tags for
the contacts in your directory on the kit one by one.
• Hold the red button on the Valeo hands-free kit plug in down for two seconds. On the phone,
select the name to which you wish to assign a voice tag by pressing Select.
• SAY THE NAME AFTER THE BEEP.
• REPEAT THE NAME AFTER THE BEEP.
• VOICE TAG CREATED.
Specific Functions
• Dial the number on your phone.
• Press the green button to switch the call to handsfree mode.

Ericsson R520m, T39/T39m, and T68/T68m
Sony Ericsson T68i, T610, T616, T618, Z600, Z608
Pairing
For Ericsson R520m, T39/T39m, and T68/T68m and Sony Ericsson T68i

Important: For Ericsson R520m, T68, T39 and Sony Ericsson T68i you must disable the
infrared sensor, or IrDa, for the Valeo hands-free kit plug in to operate. Follow this
procedure: Press > until EXTRAS, then < until INFRARED PORT. Press YES, then < until
DISABLED, and validate by pressing YES.
• Follow this procedure:
• For T68, T68m and T68i go to CONNECT, then BLUETOOTH®.
• For R520 and T39/t39m, press > until EXTRAS, then < until BLUETOOTH®, and press YES.
• Press < until PAIRED DEVICES, press YES, then ADD DEVICE. Press YES, then PHONE INITIATES.
• Press YES.
• Go down to HEADSETS or HANDSFREE and click on YES.
• SEARCHING is displayed. Then VALEOPLUG V… is displayed. Press YES.
• ENTER PASSWORD is displayed. Enter 1234, then YES.
When pairing is complete, PAIRING SUCCEEDED appears on your screen. Press YES to enter the name
of the new paired device.
Mobile phones using a handsfree profile are synchronized manually. Go to CONNECTIONS, ACCESSORIES, then VALEO MENU to launch synchronization.

Ericsson R520m, T39/T39m, and T68/T68m, Sony Ericsson T68i, T610, T616, T618, Z600, Z608
For Sony Ericsson T610, T616, T618, Z600, and Z608
Important: For these phones, you must deactivate the infrared link, or IrDa, for the
! Valeo hands-free kit plug in to function. Follow this procedure:
Select CONNECTIONS, then ACTIVATION IR, and select DEACTIVATE. Confirm by clicking on SELECTION.
• Go to CONNECTIONS, then BLUETOOTH®.
• The pairing phase is launched via HANDSFREE or MY PERIPHERALS.
• Select HANDSFREE and validate by clicking on SELECTION.
• When ADD A HANDSFREE DEVICE? is displayed, validate by clicking on YES.
Or
• Select MY PERIPHERALS and validate by clicking on SELECTION.
• When you see NEW PERIPHERAL, click on ADD.
• CHECK IF THE HANDSFREE IS IN THE CORRECT MODE AND THAT YOU HAVE THE PASSKEY. Click on OK.
• SEARCHING FOR HANDSFREE DEVICES is displayed. Wait.
• Your phone will look for all equipment with a handsfree profile.
• Then VALEOPLUG V… is displayed. Click on SELECTION to validate.
• Enter 1234 as the passkey, and click on OK. ADDING VALEOPLUG V… is displayed.
When pairing is complete, you will see VALEOPLUG V… ADDED TO MY PERIPHERALS on your screen.
To synchronize your phonebook with your Valeo hands-free kit plug in, follow the instructions
below:
Go to CONNECTIONS, ACCESSORIES, then VALEO MENU.
For more information, consult your Ericsson phone’s instruction manual.

Voice tags
Depending on your phone:
• For R520 and T39/T39m, press > until EXTRAS.
• For T68, press > until CONNECT.
• For T68i/T610/T616/T618/Z600/Z608, press > until CONNECTIONS.
• Press < until ACCESSORIES, and click on YES.
• Select the VALEO MENU and click on YES.
• Select the PHONEBOOK and click on YES.
• Select LIST and click on YES.
• Select a name and click on YES.
• CLICK ON YES AND SAY THE NAME DISPLAYED.
• CLICK ON YES AND REPEAT.
In your list of names, a star indicates those which have voice tags. To call a contact with a
voice tag, press the green button on the Valeo hands-free kit plug in, and say the name of
your contact after the beep.
Important: The reliability of the voice recognition system depends on the quality of
! the recorded voice tags. For optimal results, follow these instructions:
• Speak clearly and naturally.
• Record the voice tag in a quiet place.
• Stop the engine, radio, and ventilation.
• Close the doors and windows.
Specific Functions
Wordspotting (keywords)
When the Wordspotting function is activated, you can make a call or pick up using a simple
voice command, based on keywords, without having to press any buttons on the Valeo handsfree kit plug in.
• To take an incoming call: say TELEPHONE.
• To make a call: say TELEPHONE, wait for the beep, and say the name of your contact.
• To end the call: say HANG UP.

If several numbers are stored under one name, in a business card, or Vcard, calls are made in
the following way:
Say TELEPHONE, wait for the beep, and say the name of your contact. The Valeo hands-free kit
plug in repeats the name and then beeps. Now say either HOME, WORK, or CELLULAR, depending
on which number you wish to call. Wait for the beep after each word.
For example: “Telephone, {beep}, Nicholas, {beep}, mobile”
Go to the Valeo Menu chapter to activate this function.
When this function is activated, the call is taken automatically after ringing twice. You do not
need to press the green button.
Caller ID
This function tells you who is calling. When Caller ID is activated, the kit says the name of
the contact making an incoming call, provided they are listed in your phonebook and have
a voice tag.
Discreet mode
You can activate Discreet Mode to transfer calls from your Valeo hands-free kit plug in to your
phone. This operation takes place while you are taking the call:
• Press CALLS on your telephone, and then < until TRANSFER SOUND SIGNAL. Click on YES. RETRIEVE CALL
IN PHONE? is displayed. Click on YES. The call is transferred to your phone.
• You can also press the green button on the Valeo hands-free kit plug in to transfer the call
to your telephone. Press the green button a second time to switch the call back to handsfree
mode (this function is only available on telephones equipped with a handsfree profile—go to
PHONE CONFIGURATION to find out whether this is the case with your phone).

Important: If you are making a manual call on a T68i, and the conversation remains
on the handset, you must set the phone up to direct all manual calls to the handsfree
function automatically.
Select CONNECTIONS in the phone menu.
• Press < until BLUETOOTH®, and click on YES. Press < until OPTIONS, and click on YES.
• Press < until EARPIECE SOUND or HANDSFREE. Click on YES to validate, then select EARPIECE
or HANDSFREE and click on YES again.
Important: If your T68i has been paired with another wireless device incorporating
the Bluetooth® technology in addition to the Valeo hands-free kit plug in, and your
phone is set to HEADSET (see PHONE CONFIGURATION) you need to set the phone to receive
calls on the Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
Go to CONNECTIONS.
• Press < until BLUETOOTH®, and click on YES.
• Press < until PAIRED DEVICES, and click on YES to validate. Select VALEOPLUG
• Press < until SET AS FIRST, and validate.
Valeo Menu
To access this menu, apply the following procedure:
• Depending on your phone:
• For R520 and the T39/T39m, press > until EXTRAS.
• For T68, press > until CONNECT.
• For T68i/T610/T616/T618/Z600/Z608, press > until CONNECTIONS.
• Press < until ACCESSORIES, and press YES.
• Go to the VALEO MENU and click on YES to display the menu headings: PHONEBOOK; SETTINGS;
VOICE RECOGNITION; ERASE MEMORY.
• Select the section you want using <, and click on YES to validate.

Phone book
List: Displays the list of names in your phone book. The names to which a voice tag has been
assigned are marked with a star (*).
To program or reprogram a voice tag, select it and click on YES to validate.
Search: allows you to search for a name using the initial. Type a letter and click on YES to
validate.
Settings
Volume: This function allows you to control the volume on the Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
Click on YES and use < and > to adjust the sound. Click on YES to validate.
Automatic call answer: This function allows you to activate and deactivate the automatic call
answer. Click on YES, then choose between ENABLE and DISABLE.
User: When several phones are paired with the Valeo hands-free kit plug in, this function
allows you to define the preferred phone. The kit will always try to connect to the preferred
phone first. Click on YES to display MAIN USER? Confirm.
Caller ID: This function tells you who is calling. When Caller ID is activated, the kit says the
name of the contact making an incoming call, provided they are listed in your phone book and
have a voice tag. Click on YES, then choose between ENABLE and DISABLE.
Multi-Tel: This function is only available for phones that have a HEADSET profile, such as the
R520, T39, T68m, and the first T68is (with software lower than R2E). This option allows the
phones to be used simultaneously in a single kit session. The first phone to which the kit
connects will be the main phone during this session, ie until the kit is turned off. If «Multi-tel»
is activated for this phone, the Valeo hands-free kit plug in will accept incoming calls for other
telephones that have been paired with the kit.
NB: The Multi-Tel function is now compatible with the T68i, T610, T616, T618, Z600,
! and Z608 (with specific software: see next chapter Phone Configuration. This function
is available when the POWERSAVE mode, or HEADSET profile, is activated. See Phone Configuration. Once this mode has been activated, the Valeo hands-free kit plug in must
identify each of the phones using this mode. This requires the separate connection of
each phone to the kit, by restarting it after every identification.

Voice recognition
Tel No.: The Keywords used for calling the business cards— HOME, WORK, and CELLULAR— are
accessible by clicking on YES, TEL NO. Follow the same procedure as for names.
Wordspotting: Allows you to activate the keyword function to make a call and to hang up.
• ACTIVATE: use of keywords or buttons.
• DEACTIVATE: use of buttons only.
Keywords: Keyword menu for TELEPHONE and HANG UP. These two keywords allow you to answer
or reject an incoming call, to end the current call or to end an outgoing call. They require the
prior activation of the Wordspotting option.
Pers. Dic.: Prerecorded voice tags exist for TELEPHONE and HANG UP in French and German. These
voice tags are used by default, ie when the Pers. Dic. option is deactivated. In order to optimize the recognition of these keywords, you are advised to record your own voice tags in the
KEYWORDS menu, and to activate the Pers. Dic. option (personal dictionary).
Erase memory
Click on YES to display CLEAR MEMORY?
Validate by clicking on YES. You will hear MEMORY ERASING IN PROGRESS. PLEASE WAIT! Click on NO to cancel.
You can erase the memory without using the Valeo Menu. Hold the red and green buttons
down simultaneously.

NB: After erasing the memory you will need to pair the kit with your phone again.
Phone Configuration
Identifying the phone’s software
The phone’s profile is determined by the software it uses. To identify the software, apply the
following procedure:
On the homepage, use the joystick to:
• Press RIGHT once, and click on*.
• Press LEFT twice, and click on*.

• Press LEFT once, and click ON*.
• Under SERVICE INFO, SOFTWARE INFO, the first line provides the software version.
«Headset» and «handsfree» profiles
The HEADSET profile has the following advantages:
• Saving the battery by only connecting phones incorporating the Bluetooth® to the Valeo
hands-free kit plug in during calls.
• Availability of the MULTI-TEL option.
The HANDSFREE profile has the following advantages:
Availability of the phone’s voice recognition, without needing voice tags in the Valeo handsfree kit plug in.
Call waiting and Discreet Mode by pressing on the green button.
Possibility of using several Valeo hands-free kit plug ins or BT audio devices with the same
phone (no need to select SET AS FIRST whenever the Valeo hands-free kit plug in is used).
The T68i has a HANDSFREE profile as well as a HEADSET profile, for software higher than R5C.
All software on the following phones has both HANDSFREE and HEADSET profiles: T610, T616, T618,
Z600, and Z608.
The Valeo hands-free kit plug in uses the HANDSFREE profile by default.
A new function is available with the latest software of Sony Ericsson phones, allowing you to
choose between the HANDSFREE and HEADSET profiles: CAR HANDSFREE.
«Car handsfree»
A new function, called CAR HANDSFREE, is available on the following phones:
T68i with R8A015 software or higher
• T610/T618 with R1L013 software or higher
• T616 with all software
• Z600 with R2D001 software or higher
• Z608 with R2E004 software or higher
CAR HANDSFREE allows the phone to be compatible with the HEADSET or HANDSFREE profile only

Your phone allows you to assign voice tags to the names in your directory. With the Valeo
hands-free kit plug in, you can use these voice tags to call your contacts.
First, you have to activate voice dialing:

• In the EDIT menu, click on PREFERENCES.
• Under VOICE CONTROL, activate VOICE DIALING.
Now record your voice tags:
• Open the flip on your phone, and select PHONEBOOK in the toolbar.
• Select a name from the list, click on EDIT, and EDIT CONTACT.
• Click on the VOICE DIALING icon, then on RECORD, and talk after the beep.

Your telephone can identify the caller if they are listed in your directory and have a voice tag.
To activate this option:

Présentation et installation
Le Valeo hands-free kit plug in vous offre les fonctionnalités suivantes :
• Connexion radio sans fil avec votre téléphone.
• Conversation mains-libres full duplex avec suppression d’écho.
• Réduction du bruit de fond.
• Reconnaissance vocale (jusqu’à 200 noms)*.
• Synchronisation automatique de votre répertoire téléphonique*.
• Jumelage jusqu’à 3 téléphones.
* Fonction disponible uniquement avec certains téléphones
Avec le Valeo hands-free kit plug in, vous pouvez par exemple :
• Répondre à un appel.
• Raccrocher.
• Émettre un appel.
• Recomposer le dernier numéro.
• Utiliser la fonction double-appel…
D’autres fonctions sont aussi disponibles selon votre modèle de téléphone.
Le Valeo hands-free kit plug in fonctionne :
• En half-duplex, quand le microphone externe n’est pas utilisé.
• En full-duplex, quand le microphone externe est utilisé.
Les deux modes de communication sont inclus dans le système.
Avec le microphone interne, la séparation entre le microphone et le haut-parleur est faible
et ne permet que le half-duplex. Le conducteur a une priorité de parole sur son correspondant.
Avec le microphone externe, le connecteur du micro doit être correctement inséré
dans le boîtier de contrôle pour passer du half-duplex au full-duplex. La distance entre
le microphone et le haut-parleur doit être suffisamment importante pour annuler les échos.
Le conducteur et son correspondant peuvent parler en même temps.
Le half-duplex est rétabli en débranchant le microphone externe.

Parlez naturellement, comme si quelqu’un était assis à côté de vous. N’élevez pas
la voix, les performances du Valeo hands-free kit plug in en seraient diminuées.
Microphone
Le microphone doit être dirigé vers le conducteur et installé de préférence entre le pare soleil
et le rétroviseur intérieur. Il peut être installé dans une autre position centrale. Évitez de l’installer sur une porte et vérifiez que la ventilation ou le système de climatisation ne souffle pas
directement dans le micro.
Prolongateur de prise allume-cigare
Le Valeo hands-free kit plug in fonctionne dans tous les véhicules (sauf poids lourds
24V). Cependant, dans de très rares cas, à cause de la profondeur à laquelle est placée
la prise allume-cigare, il est préférable d’ajouter un prolongateur de prise allume-cigare
(non fourni), afin que le Valeo hands-free kit plug in soit facilement accessible pour
le conducteur.
Retrouver la version du software du Valeo hands-free kit plug in
Si vous souhaitez connaître la version du software de votre appareil, vérifiez quels sont
les périphériques trouvées lors de la phase de jumelage : la liste s’affiche sur l’écran du
téléphone. Par exemple, «Valeoplug v3.10» indique que la version du software installé sur
votre Valeo hands-free kit plug in est v3.10.

Mise sous-tension
Votre téléphone est allumé ; branchez le Valeo hands-free kit plug in sur l’allume-cigare et
mettez le contact. Le voyant bleu sur votre Valeo hands-free kit plug in s’allume et indique
que celui-ci est alimenté.

Lors de la première mise sous tension, «please pair device» est prononcé (si ce
n’est pas le cas, procédez à une remise à zéro du système en appuyant longuement
sur les boutons rouge et vert en même temps).
Vous devez alors effectuer un jumelage entre votre téléphone et votre Valeo hands-free
kit plug in : reportez-vous au chapitre concernant votre modèle de téléphone.
Par la suite, la connexion entre votre téléphone et votre kit mains-libres se fera automatiquement
dès lors que les deux appareils ne se trouvent qu’à quelques mètres l’un de l’autre.
Pour éteindre le Valeo hands-free kit plug in, coupez le contact du véhicule ou débranchez le
Valeo hands-free kit plug in de l’allume-cigare.

Émettre et recevoir des appels
avec le Valeo hands-free kit
(Applicable pour tous les téléphones intégrant la technologie Bluetooth®)
Appeler un correspondant par reconnaissance vocale
• Appuyez une fois sur le bouton vert, et prononcez le nom de votre correspondant après
le «bip» sonore.
Afin d’utiliser cette fonction, vous devez auparavant avoir attribué une empreinte vocale aux
noms de votre répertoire (cf. Chapitre «apprentissage des noms» selon votre modèle de
téléphone).
Recevoir un appel
• Appuyez sur le bouton vert pour décrocher.
Si vous souhaitez rejeter l’appel, appuyez sur le bouton rouge.
Si vous êtes en mode DÉCROCHAGE AUTOMATIQUE, la communication s’établit automatiquement.
Raccrocher en fin de conversation
• Appuyez sur le bouton rouge.
Fonction bis
• Appuyez sur le bouton vert pendant 2 secondes pour rappeler le dernier n° appelé.
Fonction double appel
• Pendant que vous êtes déjà en communication, un signal d’appel vous prévient
qu’un correspondant souhaite vous joindre.
• Appuyez une fois sur le bouton vert pour communiquer avec votre nouveau correspondant.
• Appuyez une fois sur le bouton rouge pour rejeter l’appel en attente.
• Appuyez une fois sur le bouton vert pour récupérer le 1er correspondant.
• Pour mettre fin à la communication, appuyez une fois sur le bouton rouge.
Réglage du volume
• Le volume se règle à partir du menu du téléphone.

Mode discret
• Pendant la conversation, appuyez sur le bouton vert du Valeo hands-free kit plug in pour
passer du mode mains-libres au mode discret. La conversation bascule alors sur votre téléphone (uniquement pour les téléphones avec profil mains-libres).
Vous avez aussi la possibilité d’activer le mode discret à partir de votre téléphone (reportezvous à la notice).
Effacement mémoire
• Appuyez longuement sur les boutons rouge et vert simultanément.

Apprentissage des noms
Votre téléphone vous permet d’attribuer une empreinte vocale aux noms de votre répertoire.
Avec le Valeo hands-free kit plug in, vous pouvez utiliser ces empreintes vocales pour joindre
vos correspondants. Pour ce faire, il vous suffit d’appuyer sur le bouton vert du boîtier de
contrôle et de prononcer le nom de votre correspondant après le «bip».
Pour attribuer une empreinte vocale sur votre téléphone
Pour Nokia 6310, 6310i, 8910, 6650 et 7600
• Sur le téléphone, sélectionnez NOMS choisissez un nom, cliquez sur DÉTAILS.
• Cliquez sur OPTIONS, sélectionnez AJOUTER RECO VOCALE, cliquez sur SELECT.
• Cliquez sur START et prononcez le nom affiché.
Pour retirer l’empreinte vocale à un nom
• Accédez au répertoire et cliquez sur DÉTAILS, puis OPTIONS.
• Positionnez vous sur RECO VOCALE et cliquez sur SELECT.
• En cliquant sur CHANGER, vous réenregistrerez l’empreinte vocale.
• En cliquant sur EFFACER, vous supprimez l’empreinte vocale préalablement enregistrée.
• À partir de votre téléphone, affichez le menu principal, sélectionnez l’icône RÉPERTOIRE.
• À partir de votre répertoire, sélectionnez le nom que vous souhaitez apprendre, appuyez sur DÉTAILS.

hands-free kit plug in, il est nécessaire d’enregistrer sur le Valeo hands-free kit plug in une à

Important : la fiabilité du système de reconnaissance vocale dépend du bon enregistrement des empreintes vocales. Pour obtenir un résultat optimal, suivez les
recommandations suivantes :
• Parlez de façon claire et naturelle.
• Effectuez l’enregistrement dans un lieu calme.
• Arrêtez le moteur, la radio et la ventilation.
• Fermez les portières et les fenêtres.
Fonction Wordspotting (mots-clés)
Lorsque la fonction wordspotting (mots-clés) est activée, vous pouvez passer un appel
ou décrocher sur simple commande vocale, à partir de «mots-clés», sans avoir à appuyer
sur les boutons du Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
• Pour répondre à un appel entrant : prononcez TÉLÉPHONE.
• Pour passer un appel : prononcez TÉLÉPHONE, attendez le «bip», et prononcez le nom de votre
correspondant.
• Pour raccrocher : prononcez RACCROCHER.
Si plusieurs numéros sont stockés pour un même nom (carte de visite ou vcard), l’appel vers
votre correspondant par reconnaissance vocale s’effectue de la manière suivante :
prononcez TÉLÉPHONE, attendez le «bip», prononcez le nom de votre correspondant.
Le Valeo hands-free kit plug in répète le nom puis émet un «bip», indiquez alors le numéro à
composer, DOMICILE, TRAVAIL ou MOBILE .Vous devez attendre un «bip» après chaque mot.
Exemple : TÉLÉPHONE, «bip», NICOLAS, «bip», MOBILE.
>Pour activer cette fonction, reportez-vous au chapitre menu Valeo.
Quand cette fonction est activée, la communication s’établit automatiquement après 2 sonneries,
sans que vous ayez à appuyer sur le bouton vert.
Identité de l’appelant (caller ID)
Cette fonction permet de connaître l’identité de l’appelant. Lorsque cette fonction est activée,
lors de la réception d’un appel, le nom de votre correspondant est prononcé, s’il fait partie
de votre répertoire et que vous lui avez attribué une empreinte vocale.

Mode discret
Vous pouvez activer le mode discret et transférer ainsi la communication du Valeo hands-free kit
plug in vers votre téléphone. Cette opération s’effectue quand vous êtes en communication :
• Appuyez sur la touche OPTION de votre téléphone, puis < jusqu’à TRANSFÉRER SON : cliquez sur OUI.
RÉCUPÉRER TÉLÉPHONE s’affiche : cliquez sur OUI. La communication bascule alors sur votre téléphone.
• Vous pouvez aussi appuyer sur le bouton vert du Valeo hands-free kit plug in pour transférer
la conversation vers votre téléphone. Appuyez une nouvelle fois sur le bouton vert pour
retrouver la conversation en mains-libres (cette fonction est disponible uniquement avec
les téléphones équipés du profil mains-libre - reportez-vous au chapitre «configuration du
téléphone» pour connaître le profil utilisé sur votre téléphone).
Passer un appel manuellement
Composez le numéro sur votre téléphone ; l’appel sera automatiquement transféré sur le kit
mains-libres.

• Sélectionnez la rubrique désirée avec la touche < et validez en cliquant sur OUI.
Répertoire :
Liste : affiche la liste des noms de votre répertoire. Les noms auxquels une empreinte vocale
est associée sont précédés d’une étoile (*).
Pour apprendre ou réapprendre un nom, positionnez-vous sur celui-ci et validez en cliquant sur OUI.
Chercher : permet de rechercher un nom par son initiale ; pour cela, tapez une lettre et validez
en cliquant sur OUI.
Paramètres :
Volume : cette fonction permet de régler le volume du Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
• Cliquez sur OUI et réglez par < ou >. Validez en cliquant sur OUI.
Réponse auto : cette fonction permet d’activer ou de désactiver le décrochage automatique.
• Cliquez sur OUI, puis choisissez entre ACTIVE et DESACTIVE.
Utilisateur : lorsque plusieurs téléphones sont jumelés avec le Valeo hands-free kit plug in,
cette fonction permet de définir quel sera le téléphone prioritaire. Le téléphone prioritaire est
le premier téléphone auquel le kit tente de se connecter.
• Cliquez sur OUI, UTILISATEUR PRINCIPAL ? s’affiche, confirmez.
Caller id : cette fonction permet de connaître l’identité de l’appelant. Lorsque cette fonction
est activée, lors de la réception d’un appel, le nom de votre correspondant est prononcé,
s’il fait partie de votre répertoire et que vous lui avez associé une empreinte vocale.
• Cliquez sur OUI et choisissez entre ACTIVE ou DESACTIVE.

Multi-tel : cette fonction n’est disponible que pour les téléphones munis seulement du profil
CASQUE. Les téléphones concernés sont les R520, T39, T68m et les premiers T68i (version
logicielle inférieure à r2e). Cette option permet l’utilisation simultanée de ces téléphones
pendant une même session d’utilisation du kit. Le premier téléphone auquel le Valeo
hands-free kit plug in se connecte devient le téléphone principal pour la session d’utilisation
du kit (jusqu’à extinction). Si l’option MULTI-TEL est activée pour ce téléphone, le Valeo handsfree kit plug in acceptera les appels entrants des autres téléphones ayant auparavant été
jumelés avec le Valeo hands-free kit plug in.

Attention : La fonction multi-tel est désormais compatible avec le T68i, T610, T616,
T618, Z600 et Z608 (avec des versions logicielles spécifiques – reportez-vous au
chapitre suivant «configuration du téléphone»). Cette fonction est disponible
lorsque le mode «eco. d’énergie» est activé (profil «casque» activé – cf. Chapitre
«configuration du téléphone»). Une fois ce mode activé, le Valeo hands-free
kit plug in doit identifier chacun des téléphones dans ce nouveau mode. Il est
nécessaire pour cela de faire connecter séparément chacun des téléphones avec
le Valeo hands-free kit plug in en le redémarrant après chaque identification.
Reco vocale
N° tel : les mots-clés destinés à l’appel des CARTES DE VISITE : DOMICILE, TRAVAIL et MOBILE.
Ceux-ci sont accessibles en cliquant sur OUI, n° tél. La séquence d’apprentissage est identique
à celle suivie pour les noms.
Wordspotting : permet d’activer la fonction d’utilisation des mots-clés pour passer un appel,
et raccrocher.
• ACTIVE l’utilisation des mots-clés ou des boutons.
• DESACTIVE l’utilisation des boutons seulement.
Mots-clés : menu d’apprentissage des mots-clés TÉLÉPHONE et RACCROCHER. Ces deux mots clés permettent de décrocher ou de raccrocher un appel entrant, de raccrocher un appel en cours ou encore de
raccrocher un appel sortant. Leur utilisation nécessite l’activation de l’option wordspotting.
Dic. Perso : pour les langues français et allemand, des empreintes pré-enregistrées existent
pour les mots-clés TÉLÉPHONE et RACCROCHER. Ces empreintes sont utilisées par défaut (option
DIC. PERSO désactivée). Afin d’optimiser la reconnaissance de ces mots-clés, il est préférable
d’enregistrer vos propres empreintes dans le menu MOTS-CLÉS, puis d’activer l’option DIC. PERSO
(dictionnaire personnel).

Retrouver la version du software du téléphone
La version du software du téléphone détermine le profil de votre téléphone. Pour connaître
cette version, suivez la procédure suivante.
Depuis l’écran d’accueil, à l’aide du joystick :
• Appuyez une fois à droite, cliquez sur*.
• Appuyez deux fois à gauche, cliquez sur*.
• Appuyez une fois à gauche, cliquez sur*.
• Dans le menu SERVICE INFO, INFORMATION LOGICIEL, la version du software est indiquée sur la première ligne.
Profils «casque» et «mains-libres»
Les avantages de l’utilisation du profil CASQUE sont :
• Connexion d’un téléphone intégrant la technologie Bluetooth® avec le Valeo hands-free kit
plug in seulement pendant les appels (économie de batterie).
• Utilisation de l’option MULTI-TEL possible.
Les avantages de l’utilisation du profil MAINS-LIBRES :
• Utilisation possible de la reconnaissance vocale du téléphone (sans empreinte dans le Valeo
hands-free kit plug in)
• DOUBLE APPEL & MODE DISCRET par appui sur bouton vert.
• Utilisation de plusieurs Valeo hands-free kit plug in/appareils audio bt avec le même
téléphone (nul besoin de sélectionner EN PREMIER à chaque utilisation du Valeo hands-free
kit plug in).
Le T68i possède le profil MAINS-LIBRES en plus du profil CASQUE pour les versions de software
supérieures à r5c.
Toutes les versions de software des téléphones suivants possèdent les profils MAINS-LIBRES
et CASQUE : R610, T616, T618, Z600 et Z608.
Le profil MAINS-LIBRES est utilisé par défaut avec le Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
Une nouvelle fonctionnalité est apparue sur les dernières versions de software des téléphones Sony Ericsson, permettant de choisir entre le profil «mains-libres» et le profil CASQUE : la
fonctionnalité ML VÉHICULE.

Vous devez préalablement activer la numérotation vocale en suivant les étapes suivantes :

• Dans le menu ÉDITION, cliquez sur PRÉFÉRENCES.

Réponse vocale : attention, si cette option est activée, vous n’entendrez pas les
sonneries dans le kit lors d’un appel entrant mais seulement sur le téléphone.
Les sonneries sont désactivées pour vous laisser répondre à la voix.
Caller ID
Votre téléphone vous permet d’entendre le nom de l’appelant si celui-ci existe dans votre
répertoire et si une empreinte vocale y est associée.
Vous devez pour cela activer cette option :
• Dans le menu MODIFIER, cliquez sur PRÉFÉRENCES, puis choisissez la rubrique CONTRÔLE VOCAL.
• Activez ensuite l’option LIRE LE NOM DE L’APPELANT.

Caller ID : attention, si cette option est activée, vous n’entendrez pas les sonneries
dans le kit lors d’un appel entrant. Les sonneries sont volontairement désactivées
pour vous laisser entendre le nom de l’appelant. Lors d’un appel entrant, vous pourrez
tout de même décrocher l’appel en appuyant sur le bouton vert.

Presentazione ed installazzione
Il Valeo hands-free kit plug in vi offre le seguenti funzionalità:
• Collegamento radio wireless con il vostro telefono cellulare.
• Conversazioni vivavoce full duplex con eliminazione dell’eco.
• Riduzione del rumore di fondo.
• Riconoscimento vocale (fino a 200 nomi)*.
• Sincronizzazione automatica della vostra rubrica telefonica*.
• Sincronizzazione fino a 3 telefoni.
* Funzione disponibile solo con alcuni telefoni.
Con il Valeo hands-free kit plug in, potete per esempio:
• Rispondere a una chiamata.
• Chiudere una chiamata.
• Effettuare una chiamata.
• Ricomporre l’ultimo numero chiamato.
• Utilizzare la funzione chiamata alternata.
Sono anche disponibili delle funzioni supplementari, secondo il modello del telefono cellulare.
Il Valeo hands-free kit plug in funziona:
• In half-duplex, quando il microfono esterno non è più utilizzato.
• In full-duplex, quando il microfono esterno è utilizzato.
Nel sistema sono inclusi ambedue i metodi di comunicazione.
Con il microfono interno, la separazione fra il microfono e l’altoparlante è ridotta e permette
solo l’half-duplex. Il conducente ha la priorità di parola sul suo interlocutore.
Con il microfono esterno, il connettore del microfono deve essere correttamente inserito nella
scatola dei comandi per passare dall’half-duplex al full-duplex. La distanza fra il microfono e
l’altoparlante deve essere sufficiente per annullare gli echi. Il conducente e il suo interlocutore
possono parlare contemporaneamente.
L’half-duplex è ripristinato scollegando il microfono esterno.

Parlate in modo naturale, come se qualcuno sia seduto accanto a voi. Non alzate la
voce, le performance del Valeo hands-free kit plug in risultereblero diminuite.
Microfono:
Il microfono deve essere diretto verso il conducente e installato preferibilmente fra il parasole
e lo specchietto retrovisore interno. Può essere installato in un’altra posizione purché centrale.
Evitate di installarlo su una porta e verificate che la ventilazione o il sistema di climatizzazione
non indirizziono l’aria direttamente nel microfono.
Prolunga per presa accendisigari:
Il Valeo hands-free kit plug in funziona in tutti i veicoli (esclusi gli automezzi pesanti 24V).
Tuttavia, in casi molto rari, a causa della profondità a cui è collocato l’accendisigari, è preferibile
aggiungere una prolunga di presa accendisigari (non fornita), per rendere il Valeo hands-free
kit plug in facilmente accessibile al conducente.
Ritrovare la versione del software del Valeo hands-free kit plug in:
Se desiderate sapere la versione del software del vostro apparecchio, verificate quali sono le
periferiche trovate durante la fase di sincronizzazione : la lista si visualizza sullo schermo del
telefono. Per esempio, «Valeoplug v3.10» indica che la versione del software installato sul
vostro Valeo hands-free kit plug in è v3.10.

Accensione
Il vostro telefono è acceso, collegate il Valeo hands-free kit plug in all’accendisigari e inserite
la chiave di accensione. La spia blu che si accende sul vostro Valeo hands-free kit plug in
indica che il kit è alimentato.
Importante: La prima volta che si accende il kit, viene pronunciato «PLEASE PAIR
DEVICE» (se questo non dovesse accadere, resettate il sistema premendo contemporaneamente i PULSANTI ROSSO e VERDE per pochi secondi).
A questo punto, dovete eseguire una sincronizzazione fra il vostro telefono e il Valeo
hands-free kit plug in: riferitevi al capitolo relativo al modello del vostro telefono:
In seguito, la connessione fra il vostro telefono e il vostro kit vivavoce verrà effettuata automaticamente non appena i due dispositivi si troveranno a pochi metri l’uno dall’altro.
Per spegnere il Valeo hands-free kit plug in, estraete la chiave di accensioneo staccate il Valeo
hands-free kit plug in dall’accendisigari.

Effettuare e ricevere chiamate con
il Valeo hands-free kit
(applicabile per tutti i telefoni che integrano la tecnologia Bluetooth®).
Chiamata con il riconoscimento vocale
• Premete una volta il pulsante verde, e pronunciate il nome del vostro corrispondente dopo
il segnale acustico.
Per utilizzare questa funzione, dovete aver prima attribuito un’identificazione vocale ai nomi
della vostra rubrica (cfr. capitolo «memorizzazione dei nomi» secondo il modello di telefono).
Ricezione chiamata
• Premere il pulsante verde per rispondere.
Se desiderate rifiutare la chiamata, premete il pulsante rosso.
Se siete in modalità RRISPOSTA AUTOMATICA, la comunicazione viene stabilita automaticamente.
Fine chiamata
• Premete il pulsante rosso.
Richiamare un numero
• Premete il pulsante verde per 2 secondi per ricomporre l’ultimo N° chiamato.
Chiamata alternata
• Mentre siete già in comunicazione, un segnale vi avvisa della chiamata di un altro interlocutore.
• Premete una volta il pulsante verde per parlare con il vostro nuovo interlocutore.
• Premete una volta il pulsante rosso per rifiutare la chiamata in attesa.
• Premete una volta il pulsante verde per tornare a parlare con il 1° interlocutore.
• Per porre fine alla comunicazione, premete il pulsante rosso.
Regolazione del volume
• Il volume si regola a partire dal menu del telefono.

Private mode
• Durante la conversazione, premete il pulsante verde del Valeo hands-free kit plug in per
passare dalla modalitá vivavoce alla modalitá discreto. A questo punto, la conversazione viene
trasferita al vostro telefono (solo per i telefoni con profilo a vivavoce).

Quando la funzione Wordspotting (parole chiave) è attiva, potete fare o rispondere a una
chiamata con un semplice comando vocale, a partire da PAROLE CHIAVE senza dover premere i
pulsanti del Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
• Per rispondere ad una chiamata entrante: pronunciate TELEFONO
• Per effettuare una chiamata: pronunciate TELEFONO, aspettate il bip e pronunciate il nome del
vostro interlocutore
• Per chiudere: pronunciate RIAGGANCIARE.
Quando per uno stesso nome sono registrati diversi numeri (biglietto da visita o Vcard), la
chiamata con riconoscimento vocale viene eseguita come segue:
Pronunciate TELEFONO, aspettate il bip e pronunciate il nome del vostro interlocutore Il Valeo
hands-free kit plug in ripete il nome, poi emette un bip, a questo punto indicate il numero da
comporre, CASA, UFFICIO o CELLULARE. Dopo ogni parola dovete aspettare un bip.

Quando questa funzione è attiva, la comunicazione viene avviata automaticamente dopo 2

Questa funzione permette di conoscere l’identità della telefonata in arrivo. Quando questa
funzione è attiva, al momento del ricevimento di una chiamata, viene pronunciato il nome
del vostro interlocutore se figura nella vostra rubrica e se gli avete attribuito un’identificazione
vocale.

Potete attivare il Private mode e trasferire la comunicazione dal Valeo hands-free kit plug in al
vostro telefono. Questa operazione va eseguita quando siete in comunicazione:
• Premete il tasto OPZIONE del vostro telefono, quindi < fino a TRASFERIRE SUONO: Cliccate su SI.
Compare RECUPARE TELEFONO. Cliccate su SI. A questo punto, la comunicazione viene trasferita

Caller ID: Questa funzione permette di conoscere l’identità del chi vi chiame. Quando questa
funzione è attiva, al momento del ricevimento di una chiamata, viene pronunciato il nome del
vostro interlocutore se figura nella vostra rubrica e gli avete attribuito un’identificazione locale.
Cliccate su SI quindi scegliete fra ATTIVO e DISATTIVATO.
Multi-Tel: Questa funzione è disponibile solo per i telefoni provvisti soltanto del profilo AURICOLARE.
Si tratta dei telefoni R520, T39, T68m e dei primi T68i (versione software inferiore a R2E).
Questa opzione permette l’uso simultaneo di questi telefoni durante una stessa sessione d’uso
del kit. Il primo telefono a cui si connette il Valeo hands-free kit plug in diventa il telefono
principale per la sessione d’uso del kit (fino ad esaurimento). Se l’opzione MULTI-TEL è attiva
per questo telefono, il Valeo hands-free kit plug in accetterà le chiamate in entrata degli altri
telefoni che sono stati prima collegati con il Valeo hands-free kit plug in.

Attenzione: La funzione Multi-Tel è ormai compatibile con il T68i, T610, T616, T618,
Z600 e Z608 (con versioni software specifiche – riferitevi al capitolo seguente CONFIGURAZIONE DEL TELEFONO). Questa funzione è disponibile quando il modo ECO. DI ENERGIA
è attivo (profilo AURICOLARE attivo – cfr. capitolo CONFIGURAZIONE DEL TELEFONO). Una volta
attivato questo modo, il Valeo hands-free kit plug in deve identificare ognuno dei
telefoni in questo nuovo modo. Per far questo, occorre far connettere separatamente

N° Tel: Le parole chiave destinate alla chiamata dei biglietti da visita: CASA, UFFICIO e CELLULARE.
Queste parole sono accessibili cliccando su SI, N° Tel. La sequenza di memorizzazione è identica
a quella eseguita per i nomi.
Wordspotting: Permette di attivare la funzione d’uso delle parole chiave per effettuare una
chiamata e per chiudere.
• ATTIVATO > uso delle parole chiave o dei pulsanti.
• DISATTIVATO > solo uso dei pulsanti.
Parole chiave: Menu di memorizzazione delle parole chiave TELEFONO e RIAGGANCIARE. Queste
due parole chiave permettono di rispondere o chiudere una chiamata entrante, di chiudere una
chiamata in corso o di chiudere una chiamata uscente. Per utilizzarle è necessario che l’opzione

La versione del software del telefono determina il profilo del vostro telefono. Per conoscere
questa versione, procedete come segue.
A partire dalla schermata di presentazione, con il joystick:
• Premete una volta a DESTRA, cliccate su*.
• Premete due volte a SINISTRA, cliccate su*.
• Premete una volta a SINISTRA, cliccate su*.
• Nel menu SERVIZIO INFO, INFORMAZIONE SOFTWARE, la versione del software è indicata sulla prima riga.
Profili «Auricolare» e «Vivavoce»
I vantaggi dell’uso del profilo AURICOLARE sono:
• Connessione di un telefono che integra la tecnologia Bluetooth® con il Valeo hands-free kit
plug in solo durante le chiamate (economia di batteria).
• Uso possibile dell’opzione MULTI-TEL.
I vantaggi dell’uso del profilo VIVAVOCE sono:
• Uso possibile del riconoscimento vocale del telefono (senza identificazione nel Valeo handsfree kit plug in).
• DOPPIA CHIAMATA & PRIVATE MODE premendo il tasto verde.
• Uso di diversi Valeo hands-free kit plug in /Apparecchi audio BT con lo stesso telefono
(nessun bisogno di selezionare PER PRIMO ad ogni uso del Valeo hands-free kit plug in).
Il T68i possiede il profilo VIVAVOCE oltre al profilo AURICOLARE per le versioni di software superiori a R5C.
Tutte le versioni di software dei seguenti telefoni hanno i profili VIVAVOCE e AURICOLARE: T610,
T616, T618, Z600 e Z608.
Il profilo VIVAVOCE è utilizzato per default con il Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
Nelle ultime versioni del software dei telefoni Sony Ericsson figura una nuova funzione che
permette di scegliere fra il profilo VIVAVOCE e il profilo AURICOLARE: la funzionalità VIVAVOCE AUTO.

Sui seguenti telefoni è disponibile una nuova funzionalità detta VIVAVOCE AUTO:

VIVAVOCE AUTO permette al telefono di essere compatibile solo con il profilo AURICOLARE o con il

Per scegliere fra i profili AURICOLARE e VIVAVOCE, selezionate il profilo interlocutore nel menu
VIVAVOCE AUTO.
L’opzione ECO. DI ENERGIA attiva il profilo AURICOLARE.
L’opzione AVANZATO attiva il profilo VIVAVOCE.

il Valeo hands-free kit plug in, potete utilizzare queste identificazione vocali per chiamare i vostri
corrispondenti.
Dovete aver prima attivato la composizione vocale del numero procedendo come segue:
• A partire dal vostro telefono, aprite il flip del telefono, selezionate TELEFONO nella barra degli
strumenti.
• Nel menu EDIZIONE, cliccate su PREFERENZE.
• Nella voce CONTROLLO VOCALE, attiva l’opzione NUMERAZIONE VOCALE.
Quindi registrate le identificazioni attribuite ai vostri corrispondenti:
• A partire dal vostro telefono, aprite il flip del telefono, selezionate l’icona RUBRICA del menu.
• Selezionate un nome dell’elenco, cliccate sull’opzione MODIFICA, cliccate su MODIFICA CONTATTO.
• Cliccate sull’icona RICONOSCIMENTO VOCALE, cliccate su REGISTRA, e parlate dopo il «bip».
• Uscite cliccando più volte su FINE.

Per far questo dovete attivare questa opzione:
• A partire dal vostro telefono, aprite il flip del telefono, selezionate l’icona TELEFONO del menu.
• Nel menu IMPOSTAZIONI, cliccate su PREFERENZE, quindi scegliete la voce CONTROLLO VOCALE.
• Quindi, attivate l’opzione IDENTIFICATO DEL CHIAMANTE.

Presentación e instalación del kit
El Valeo hands-free kit plug in ofrece las siguientes funciones:
• Conexión por radio inalámbrica con el teléfono.
• Conversación manos libres bidireccional (full-duplex) con supresión de eco.
• Reducción del ruido de fondo.
• Reconocimiento de voz (hasta 200 nombres)*.
• Sincronización automática de la agenda telefónica*.
• Enlace de hasta 3 teléfonos.
* Función disponible sólo con algunos teléfonos.
Con el Valeo hands-free kit plug in se pueden realizar, por ejemplo,
las tareas siguientes:
• Responder a una llamada.
• Colgar.
• Efectuar una llamada.
• Volver a marcar el último número.
• Utilizar la función de llamada en espera…
Asimismo, existen otras funciones disponibles dependiendo del modelo de teléfono.
El Valeo hands-free kit plug in funciona:
• En modo unidireccional (half-duplex), cuando no se utiliza el micrófono externo.
• En modo bidireccional (full-duplex), cuando se utiliza el teléfono externo.
Los dos modos de comunicación están incluidos en el sistema.
Con el micrófono interno, la separación entre el micrófono y el altavoz es muy reducida y sólo permite
el modo unidireccional. Es decir, que el conductor tendrá la prioridad de palabra sobre su interlocutor.
El conector del micrófono externo deberá estar correctamente insertado en el panel de control
para pasar del modo unidireccional al bidireccional. La distancia entre el micrófono y el altavoz
deberá ser lo suficientemente grande como para anular el eco. En este modo, el conductor y su
interlocutor pueden hablar al mismo tiempo.

Hable de forma natural, como si alguien estuviera sentado a su lado. No eleve la voz
o las prestaciones del Valeo hands-free kit plug in se verán afectadas.
Micrófono
El micrófono debe estar dirigido hacia el conductor y preferiblemente instalado entre el parasol
y el retrovisor interior. Asimismo, puede instalarse en otra posición central. Evite su instalación
en la puerta y compruebe que el sistema de ventilación o el de climatización no envíe aire
directamente al micrófono.
Alargador del conector del encendedor
El Valeo hands-free kit plug in funciona en todos los vehículos (excepto en los grandes camiones con baterías de 24 V). Sin embargo, en casos muy raros, debido a la posición en que está
situado el encendedor, es aconsejable utilizar un alargador del conector del encendedor (no
incluido) para que el conductor pueda acceder fácilmente al Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
Averiguar la versión del software del Valeo hands-free kit plug in
Si desea saber la versión de software que utiliza el aparato, compruebe cuáles son los periféricos detectados durante la fase de enlace; la lista aparece en la pantalla del teléfono. Por
ejemplo, «Valeoplug v3.10» indica que la versión del software instalado en el Valeo hands-free
kit plug in es la v3.10.

Encendido del kit
Con el teléfono encendido, enchufe el Valeo hands-free kit plug in en el conector del encendedor y accione el contacto del vehículo. El indicador luminoso azul del Valeo hands-free kit
plug in se encenderá para indicar que recibe corriente.

Importante: La primera vez que se encienda el kit se escuchará la frase «PLEASE PAIR
DEVICE» (Enlazar dispositivo). Si no es así, será preciso proceder al restablecimiento
del sistema manteniendo pulsados los BOTONES ROJO y VERDE simultáneamente.
A continuación, se deberá establecer el enlace entre el teléfono y el Valeo hands-free
kit plug in; consulte el capítulo relativo a su modelo de teléfono.
En adelante, la conexión entre el teléfono y el kit manos libres se realizará de forma automática
en cuanto los dos aparatos se encuentren a unos metros el uno del otro.
Para apagar el Valeo hands-free kit plug in, apague el contacto del vehículo o desenchúfelo
del encendedor.

Emisión y recepción de llamadas
con el Valeo hands-free kit

Llamar utilizando el reconocimiento de voz
• Pulse una vez el botón verde y, después de la señal acústica, pronuncie el nombre de la
persona a la que desea llamar.
Para utilizar esta función, deberá haber asignado con anterioridad un identificador vocal a los
nombres de la agenda (consulte el capítulo «Aprendizaje de los nombres» correspondiente a
su modelo de teléfono).
Recibir una llamada
• Para descolgar, pulse el botón verde.
Si desea rechazar la llamada, pulse el botón rojo.
Si el teléfono se encuentra en el modo de respuesta automática a llamadas, la comunicación
se establecerá automáticamente.
Colgar al final de la conversación
• Pulse el botón rojo.
Función rellamada
• Para volver a marcar el último número al que haya llamado, pulse el botón verde durante
2 segundos.
Función de llamada en espera
• Cuando se encuentre ya en comunicación, una señal de llamada le avisará de que otra
persona desea hablar con usted.
• Para hablar con esta nueva persona, pulse una vez el botón verde.
• Para rechazar la llamada entrante, pulse el botón rojo.
• Para recuperar al primer interlocutor, pulse el botón verde.
• Para finalizar la llamada, pulse el botón rojo.

Ajustar el volumen
El volumen se ajusta en el menú del teléfono.
Modo discreto
• Durante la conversación, pulse el botón verde del Valeo hands-free kit plug in para pasar del
modo MANOS LIBRES al modo discreto. De este modo, la conversación pasará al teléfono (sólo
en los teléfonos con perfil MANOS LIBRES).
Asimismo, tiene la posibilidad de activar el modo discreto desde el teléfono (consulte la
documentación del teléfono).
Borrar la memoria
Pulse prolongada y simultáneamente los botones rojo y verde.

• Pulse MENÚ, seleccione BLUETOOTH® y, a continuación, pulse SELECCIONAR.
• En VISTA DE PERIFÉRICOS AGRUPADOS POR PARES, pulse SELECCIONAR.
• Aparecerá VALEOPLUG. Pulse OPCIONES.
• En PEDIR AUTORIZACIÓN DE CONEXIÓN, pulse SELECCIONAR.
• Seleccione NO para desactivar esta función.

Aprendizaje de los nombres
El teléfono permite atribuir un identificador vocal a los nombres. Así, podrá utilizar estos identificadores con el Valeo hands-free kit plug in, para llamar a las personas que se encuentren
en la agenda. Para ello, basta con pulsar el botón verde del panel de control y pronunciar el
nombre de la persona después de la señal acústica.
Para asignar un identificador vocal, haga lo siguiente en el teléfono:
• En el teléfono, seleccione NOMBRES, elija un nombre y pulse DETALLES.
• Pulse OPCIONES, seleccione AÑADIR RECO VOCAL y, a continuación, pulse SELECCIONAR.
• Pulse ACTIVAR y pronuncie el nombre que aparece en pantalla.
Para eliminar el identificador vocal de un nombre:
• Acceda a la agenda y pulse DETALLES y, a continuación pulse OPCIONES.
• Sitúese en GRABACIONES y pulse SELECCIONAR.
• Si pulsa MODIFICAR, podrá volver a grabar el identificador vocal.
• Si pulsa BORRAR, suprimirá el identificador vocal.
• En el teléfono, abra el menú principal y seleccione el icono CONTACTOS.
• En la agenda, seleccione el nombre deseado y pulse OPCIONES.
• Seleccione ABRIR y pulse SELECCIONAR.

Una señal acústica indica que el enlace se ha establecido correctamente.

! esta fase deberá repetirse para obtener un comportamiento correcto. Para ello, primero es preciso
restablecer el kit (botones rojo y verde simultáneamente) y borrar el enlace con el Valeo hands-free
kit plug in en el teléfono (en el menú APAR. CONOCIDOS).
Cuando se realiza una llamada por reconocimiento de voz, el Valeo hands-free kit plug in
activa de forma predeterminada el sistema de reconocimiento de voz del teléfono para los
identificadores en él grabados (máximo 15). Para utilizar el reconocimiento de voz del Valeo
hands-free kit plug in, será necesario grabar en el kit los identificadores vocales asociados a
los contactos de la agenda uno a uno.
• Pulse durante 2 segundos el botón rojo del Valeo hands-free kit plug in, seleccione en el
teléfono el nombre al que desea asignar un identificador vocal pulsando SELEC.
• Siga estas instrucciones que aparecen en la pantalla:
• PRONUNCIE EL NOMBRE DESPUÉS DEL BIP.
• REPITA EL NOMBRE DESPUÉS DEL BIP.
• APRENDIZAJE TERMINADO.
• Marque el número directamente en el teléfono.
• Pulse el botón verde para cambiar la conversación al modo MANOS LIBRES.

Función Wordspotting (palabras clave)
Cuando la función Wordspotting (palabras clave) está activada, se puede realizar o recibir una
llamada simplemente con una orden vocal, mediante PALABRAS CLAVE, sin tener que pulsar los
botones del Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
• Para responder a una llamada entrante: diga TELÉFONO.
• Para realizar una llamada: diga TELÉFONO, espere la señal acústica y pronuncie el nombre de la
persona con la que desee hablar.
• Para colgar: diga COLGAR.
Si para un mismo nombre tiene varios números (tarjeta de visita o Vcard), la llamada al interlocutor por reconocimiento de voz se realiza de la forma siguiente:
Diga TELÉFONO, espere la señal acústica y pronuncie el nombre de la persona con la que desea
hablar. El Valeo hands-free kit plug in repetirá el nombre y, a continuación, emitirá una señal
acústica; en ese momento, indique el número que desea marcar: DOMICILIO, TRABAJO o MÓVIL.
Deberá esperar a la señal acústica que se produce inmediatamente después de cada palabra.
Ejemplo: «Teléfono, {bip}, Nicolás, {bip}, móvil».
Para activar esta función, consulte el capítulo Menú Valeo.
Cuando esta función está activada, la comunicación se establece automáticamente después de
dos timbres, sin que sea necesario pulsar el botón verde.
Identidad del interlocutor (caller ID)
esta función permite conocer la identidad de la persona que llama. Cuando está activada y se
recibe una llamada, se escucha el nombre del interlocutor, siempre y cuando éste se encuentre
en la agenda y se le haya asignado un identificador vocal.

Modo discreto
Se puede activar el modo discreto y transferir así la comunicación del Valeo hands-free kit
plug in al teléfono. Esta operación se efectúa del modo siguiente cuando ya se está en
comunicación:
• Pulse la tecla OPCIÓN del teléfono y, a continuación, < hasta TRANSFERIR SONIDO; pulse SI. Aparecerá RECUPERAR TELÉFONO; pulse SI. La comunicación pasará al teléfono.
• También se puede pulsar el botón verde del Valeo hands-free kit plug in para transferir la
conversación al teléfono. Pulse de nuevo el botón verde para recuperar la conversación en
modo MANOS LIBRES (esta función sólo está disponible en los teléfonos equipados con el perfil
MANOS LIBRES. Consulte el capítulo CONFIGURACIÓN DEL TELÉFONO para averiguar el perfil utilizado
en su teléfono).
Marque el número en el teléfono y la llamada se transferirá automáticamente al kit manos
libres.
Importante: si al efectuar una llamada manualmente con el modelo T68i la conversa! ción permanece en el teléfono, será preciso configurarlo para que todas las llamadas
emitidas manualmente se dirijan automáticamente a la función MANOS LIBRES. Para ello:
en el menú del teléfono, seleccione CONEXIONES.
• Pulse < hasta BLUETOOTH® y pulse SI. A continuación, pulse < hasta OPCIONES y pulse SI.
• Pulse < hasta SONIDO AURICULAR o SONIDO MANOS LIBRES, valide pulsando SI, seleccione
AURICULAR o MANOS LIBRES y valide de nuevo pulsando SI.
Importante: si además del Valeo hands-free kit plug in se ha enlazado al T68i otro
dispositivo de audio que integre la tecnología Bluetooth® (y el teléfono está configu! rado en perfil AURICULAR, consulte el epígrafe CONFIGURACIÓN DEL TELÉFONO), será necesario
configurar el teléfono de modo que las llamadas entrantes se puedan transmitir al
Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
Para ello, en CONEXIONES,
• Pulse < Hasta BLUETOOTH® y pulse SI.

Para acceder a este menú, siga este procedimiento:

Buscar: permite buscar un nombre por su inicial; para ello, escriba una letra y valide pulsando SI.
Parámetros:
Volumen: esta función permite regular el volumen del Valeo hands-free kit plug in.
• Pulse SI y ajuste mediante las teclas < y >. Valide pulsando en SI.
Desc. auto: esta función permite activar o desactivar la respuesta automática a las llamadas
entrantes.
• Pulse SI y, a continuación, elija ACTIVADO o DESACTIVADO.
Usuario: cuando se enlazan varios teléfonos con el Valeo hands-free kit plug in, esta función
permite definir cuál será el teléfono prioritario. Dicho teléfono será el primero con el que el
kit intentará conectar.
• Pulse SI y aparecerá USUARIO PRINCIPAL?; Confirme.
Caller ID: esta función permite conocer la identidad de la persona que llama. Cuando está
activada y se recibe una llamada, se escucha el nombre del interlocutor, siempre que éste se
encuentre en la agenda y se le haya asignado un identificador vocal.
• Pulse SI y elija entre ACTIVADO y DESACTIVADO.

Enlace, aprendizaje de los nombres y funciones específicas en los
Multi tel.: Esta función sólo está disponible para los teléfonos que cuentan únicamente con
el perfil AURICULAR. Los teléfonos en cuestión son los modelos R520, T39, T68m y los primeros
T68i (versión de software inferior a r2e). Esta opción permite la utilización simultánea de estos
teléfonos durante una misma sesión de utilización del kit. El primer teléfono con el que se conecta el Valeo hands-free kit plug in se convierte en el teléfono principal para la sesión (hasta
su final). Si la opción MULTI TEL. Está activada para este teléfono, el Valeo hands-free kit plug
in aceptará las llamadas entrantes de los otros teléfonos que se hayan enlazado previamente
con el Valeo hands-free kit plug in.

Atención: la función multi tel. Es en lo sucesivo compatible con los modelos T68i, T610,
T616, T618, Z600 y Z608 (con versiones de software determinadas. Consulte el capítulo
siguiente CONFIGURACIÓN DEL TELÉFONO). Esta función está disponible cuando está activado
el modo ECO. DE ENERGÍA (perfil AURICULAR activado. Consulte el capítulo CONFIGURACIÓN DEL
TELÉFONO). Una vez activado este modo, el Valeo hands-free kit plug in deberá identificar cada uno de los teléfonos en este nuevo modo. Para ello, es necesario conectar
de forma independiente cada uno de los teléfonos con el Valeo hands-free kit plug in
reiniciándolo tras cada identificación.
Recon. vocal:
N° tel: las palabras clave destinadas a la llamada de las tarjetas de visita: DOMICILIO, TRABAJO
y MÓVIL. Éstas son accesibles pulsando SI, N° TEL. La secuencia de aprendizaje es idéntica a la
seguida para los nombres.
Wordspotting: permite activar la función de utilización de las palabras clave para realizar una
llamada y colgar.
• ACTIVADA utilización de las palabras clave o de los botones.
• DESACTIVADO utilización únicamente de los botones.
Palabras clave: menú de aprendizaje de las palabras clave TELÉFONO y COLGAR. Estas dos palabras
clave permiten descolgar o colgar en el caso de una llamada entrante, colgar al finalizar una
llamada en curso o incluso colgar durante una llamada saliente. Su utilización precisa de la
activación previa de la opción wordspotting.
Dic. Personal: en el caso de los idiomas francés y alemán, existen ya identificadores vocales
pregrabados para las palabras clave TELÉFONO y COLGAR. Estos identificadores se utilizan de forma
predeterminada (opción DIC PERSONAL desactivada). A fin de optimizar el reconocimiento de
estas palabras clave, es preferible grabar los identificadores personalmente mediante el menú

Borrar memoria
Pulse SI y aparecerá BORRAR MEMORIA?.
Valide pulsando SI y escuchará BORRANDO LA MEMORIA. ESPERE POR FAVOR. Para cancelar la operación, pulse NO.
Es posible borrar la memoria sin utilizar el menú valeo. Para ello, pulse prolongada y simultáneamente los botones rojo y verde.

Configuración del teléfono
Averiguar la versión del software del teléfono
La versión del software del teléfono determina el perfil del mismo. Para conocer dicha versión,
siga este procedimiento.
En la pantalla inicial, con la tecla multidireccional:
• Pulse una vez hacia la derecha y pulse en*.
• Pulse dos veces hacia la izquierda y pulse en*.
• Pulse una vez hacia la izquierda y pulse en*.
• En el menú INFO. SERVICIO, INFORMACIÓN SOFTWARE, se indica la versión del software en la
primera línea.
Perfiles «Auricular» y «Manos libres»
Las ventajas que conlleva utilizar el perfil AURICULAR son las siguientes:
• Conexión de un teléfono que cuente con la tecnología Bluetooth® con el Valeo hands-free kit
plug in solamente durante las llamadas (economía de batería).
• Posibilidad de utilizar la opción MULTI TEL.
Las ventajas que conlleva utilizar el perfil MANOS LIBRES son las siguientes:
• Posibilidad de utilizar la función de reconocimiento de voz del teléfono (sin identificador en
el Valeo hands-free kit plug in).
• LLAMADA EN ESPERA y MODO DISCRETO pulsando el botón verde.
• Utilización de varios Valeo hands-free kit plug in o aparatos de audio Bluetooth® con el
mismo teléfono (sin necesidad de seleccionar EN PRIMERA cada vez que se utilice el Valeo
hands-free kit plug in).
El modelo T68i posee el perfil MANOS LIBRES además del perfil AURICULAR en las versiones de
software posteriores a la r5c.
Todas las versiones de software de los teléfonos siguientes tienen los perfiles MANOS LIBRES y
AURICULAR: T610, T616, T618, Z600 y Z608.
Con el Valeo hands-free kit plug in se utiliza de forma predeterminada el perfil MANOS LIBRES.
En las últimas versiones de software de los teléfonos sony ericsson se ha incorporado una
nueva función que permite elegir entre los perfiles MANOS LIBRES y AURICULAR: la función ML
VEHÍCULO.

«ML vehículo»
Una nueva función denominada ML VEHÍCULO está disponible en los teléfonos siguientes:
• T68i con versión de software R8A015 o superior.
• T610/T618 con versión de software R1L013 o superior.
• T616 con todas las versiones de software.
• Z600 con versión de software r2d001 o superior.
• Z608 con versión de software r2e004 o superior.
ML VEHÍCULO permite que el teléfono sólo sea compatible con el perfil AURICULAR o con el perfil
MANOS LIBRES (menú CONEXIONES, a continuación BLUETOOTH® y finalmente OPCIONES).
Para elegir entre los perfiles AURICULAr y MANOS LIBRES, seleccione el perfil correspondiente en
el menú ML VEHÍCULO.
El modo ECO. DE ENERGÍA activa el perfil AURICULAR.
El modo AVANCE activa el perfil MANOS LIBRES.

Previamente deberá activar la marcación por voz; para ello, siga estos pasos:

• En el apartado CONTROL DE VOZ, active la opción MARCADO POR VOZ.
A continuación, grabe los identificadores vocales asociados con los nombres de la agenda:
• En el teléfono, abra la tapa y, en la barra de herramientas, seleccione el icono AGENDA.
• Seleccione un nombre de la lista, pulse la opción EDITAR y pulse EDITAR CONTACTO.
• Pulse en el icono MARCADO POR VOZ, pulse GRABAR y hable tras la señal acústica.

Respuesta vocal
El teléfono permite aceptar o rechazar las llamadas entrantes mediante la voz. Para ello, deberá
primero grabar los comandos vocales correspondientes a las opciones RESPONDER y OCUPADO.
Previamente deberá activar la respuesta vocal; para ello, siga estos pasos:
• En el apartado CONTROL DE VOZ, active la opción COMANDO DE VOZ.

Respuesta vocal: atención, si esta opción está activada, no escuchará los timbres en
el kit cuando se reciba una llamada, sólo los escuchará en el teléfono. El timbre está
desactivado para permitirle responder con la voz.
Identidad del interlocutor
El teléfono permite escuchar el nombre de la persona que llama si éste existe en la agenda y
se le ha asignado un identificador vocal.
Para ello, deberá activar esta opción del modo siguiente:
• En el menú EDITAR, pulse PREFERENCIAS y, a continuación, seleccione el apartado CONTROL DE VOZ.
• Active a continuación la opción IDENTIFICACIÓN DE QUIEN LLAMA.

Identidad del interlocutor: atención, si esta opción está activada, no escuchará los
timbres en el kit cuando se reciba una llamada. El timbre se desactiva voluntariamente para permitirle escuchar el nombre de la persona que realiza la llamada. Cuando

Präsentation und Einbau
Die Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in bietet folgende Funktionen
• Drahtlose Funkverbindung mit ihrem Telefon.
• Full-duplex-Freisprechfunktion mit echofreier Sprachwiedergabe.
• Verringerung der hintergrundgeräusche.
• Spracherkennung (bis 200 namen).
• Automatische Synchronisierung mit ihrem persönlichen Telefonbuch*.
• Gleichzeitiger Anschluss von bis zu 3 Telefonen.
Diese Funktion ist nur mit bestimmten Telefonen verfügbar.
Mit der Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in können Sie zum Beispiel
• Einen Anruf entgegennehmen.
• Auflegen.
• Einen Anruf tätigen.
• Die zuletzt gewählte Nummer wiederholen.
• Die Funktion «Doppelter Anruf» verwenden.
Je nachdem, welches Telefon Sie verwenden, sind weitere Funktionen verfügbar.
Die Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in funktioniert
• Im Half-Duplex-Modus, wenn das externe Mikrofon nicht verwendet wird.
• Im Full-Duplex-Modus, wenn das externe Mikrofon verwendet wird.
Beide Kommunikationsarten sind im System enthalten.
Bei Verwendung des internen Mikrofons ist die Trennung zwischen Mikrofon und Lautsprecher
nur schwach, weshalb nur eine Half-Duplex-Verbindung verfügbar ist. Der Fahrer hat Vorrang
vor seinem Gesprächspartner.
Bei Verwendung des externen Mikrofons muss der Stecker des Mikrofons in die Bedieneinheit
gesteckt werden, um vom Half-Duplex-Modus auf Full-Duplex-Modus umzuschalten. Das
Mikrofon und der Lautsprecher müssen in ausreichender Entfernung voneinander installiert
werden, um Echoeffekte auszulöschen. Der Fahrer und sein Gesprächspartner können gleichzeitig sprechen.

Sobald die Verbindung zum externen Mikrofon getrennt wird, wird die Half-DuplexVerbindung wieder hergestellt.
Sprechen Sie ganz natürlich, als ob Ihr Gesprächspartner neben Ihnen säße. Sprechen Sie
nicht zu laut, da die Leistung der Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in dadurch beeinträchtigt wird.

Das Mikrofon muss zum Fahrer hin ausgerichtet sein und sollte vorzugsweise zwischen Sonnenblende und Rückspiegel installiert werden. Es kann auch in einer anderen zentralen Position
installiert werden. Vermeiden Sie es, das Mikrofon an einer Tür zu installieren, und überprüfen
Sie, dass die Lüftung oder Klimaanlage nicht direkt in das Mikrofon bläst.
Adapter für den Zigarettenanzünder
Die Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in ist mit allen Fahrzeugtypen kompatibel (außer mit Lkws
mit 24 V). In seltenen Fällen ist es auf Grund der tiefen Lage des Zigarettenanzünders empfehlenswert, einen Adapter hinzuzufügen (nicht mitgeliefert), damit der Fahrer einfacher auf die
Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in zugreifen kann.
Die Softwareversion der Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in
Wenn Sie die Softwareversion Ihrer Anlage herausfinden möchten, überprüfen Sie, welche
Peripherie-Geräte bei der Kopplung erkannt wurden. Auf Ihrem Telefon wird die Liste der
Geräte angezeigt. Zum Beispiel: Die Meldung «Valeoplug v3.10» bedeutet, dass auf Ihrer Valeo
Freisprechanlage plug in die Softwareversion v3.10 installiert ist.

Schalten Sie Ihr Telefon ein, stecken Sie die Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in in die Zigarettenanzünder-Buchse und starten Sie die Zündung. Das Aufleuchten der blauen Lampe an Ihrer Valeo
Freisprechanlage plug in zeigt an, dass diese gespeist wird.

Wichtig: Bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme meldet die Anlage «PLEASE PAIR DEVICE»
(wenn nicht, setzen Sie das System auf Null, indem Sie die rote und grüne Taste
gleichzeitig drücken).
Das bedeutet, dass Sie eine Kopplung zwischen Ihrem Telefon und Ihrer Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in durchführen müssen: Lesen Sie in dem Kapitel weiter, das Ihr

• Nehmen Sie die Speicherung an einem ruhigen Ort vor.
• Schalten Sie den Motor, das Radio und die Lüftung aus.

Wenn die Wordspotting Funktion (Schlüsselwörter) aktiviert ist, können Sie einen Anruf mit
Spracherkennung tätigen oder annehmen. D. h. Sie sprechen einfach Schlüsselwörter aus, ohne
die Tasten der Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in zu bedienen.
• Um einen Anruf anzunehmen: Sagen Sie TELEFON.
• Um einen Anruf zu tätigen: Sagen Sie TELEFON, warten Sie auf das Tonsignal und sagen den
Namen Ihres Gesprächspartners.
• Um ein Gespräch zu beenden: Sagen Sie AUFLEGEN.
Wenn ein Name mit mehreren Nummern eingespeichert ist (Visitenkarte oder Vcard), gehen
Sie folgendermaßen vor:
Sagen Sie TELEFON, warten auf das Tonsignal und sagen den Namen Ihres Gesprächspartners. Die
Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in wiederholt den Namen und sendet ein Tonsignal. Geben Sie
dann die gewünschte Rufnummer an, indem Sie PRIVAT, GESCHÄFTLICH oder HANDY sagen. Nach
jedem Wort müssen Sie auf das Tonsignal warten.
Beispiel: “Telefon, {bip}, Klaus, {bip}, Handy”.

Wenn die automatische Rufannahme aktiviert ist, wird die Verbindung nach 2-maligem Klingeln
hergestellt, ohne, dass Sie auf die grüne Taste drücken.
Identität des Anrufers (Caller ID)
Mit dieser Funktion ist es möglich, die Identität des Anrufers zu kennen. Wenn diese Funktion

Privat-Modus
Sie können den Privat-Modus aktivieren und das Gespräch von der Valeo Freisprechanlage
plug in auf Ihr Telefon umleiten. Dieser Vorgang erfolgt während des Gesprächs:
• Drücken Sie auf die Taste OPTIONEN Ihres Telefons, dann auf < bis TON UMLEITEN erscheint: Klicken Sie auf YA. Es erscheint die Anzeige ZURÜCK ZUM TELEFON. Klicken Sie auf YA. Das Gespräch
wird dann auf Ihr Telefon umgeleitet.
• Sie können auch auf die GRÜNE TASTE der Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in drücken, um das
Gespräch auf Ihr Telefon umzuleiten. Wenn Sie erneut auf die grüne Taste drücken, wird die
Freisprechfunktion wieder hergestellt (diese Funktion ist nur bei Telefonen mit Freisprech-Profil verfügbar – Informationen über das Profil Ihres Telefons finden Sie im Kapitel KONFIGURATION
DES TELEFONS).
Wählen Sie die Rufnummer auf Ihrem Telefon. Das Gespräch wird automatisch auf die Freisprechanlage umgeleitet.

Wichtig: Wenn bei der manuellen Rufnummerwahl beim Telefon T68i das Gespräch
nicht auf die Freisprechanlage umgeleitet wird, müssen Sie das Telefon so konfigurieren, dass alle manuell gewählten Anrufe automatisch auf die Freisprechanlage
umgeleitet werden.

Das Valeo Menü können Sie mit folgender Sequenz aufrufen:
• Je nachdem, welches Telefon Sie besitzen:
• beim T39/T39m und R520 drücken Sie auf > bis EXTRAS,
• beim T68 drücken Sie auf > bis VERBINDEN
• beim T68i/T610/T616/T618/Z600/Z608 drücken Sie auf > bis VERBINDUNGEN
• Drücken Sie auf < bis ZUBEHÖR und bestätigen Sie mit YA.
• Positionieren Sie sich auf VALEO MENÜ und bestätigen Sie mit YA. Folgende Rubiken des Menüs
werden angezeigt: TELEFONBUCH, EINSTELLUNGEN, SPRACHERKENNUNG, SPEICHER LÖSCHEN.
• Wählen Sie die gewünschte Rubrik mit der Taste < und bestätigen Sie mit YA.
Telefonbuch:
Liste: Zeigt die Liste der Namen aus Ihrem Telefonbuch an. Vor den Namen, denen ein Stimmabdruck zugeordnet wurde, erscheint ein Stern (*).
Um einen Namen zu lernen oder neu zu lernen, positionieren Sie sich auf den Namen und
drücken Sie YA.
Suchen: Ermöglicht die Suche eines Namens anhand des Anfangsbuchstabens. Geben Sie einen
Buchstaben ein und bestätigen Sie mit YA.
Einstellungen:
Lautstärke: Mit dieser Funktion wird die Lautstärke der Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in geregelt.
• Klicken Sie auf YA und regeln Sie die Lautstärke mit < oder >. Bestätigen Sie mit YA.
Automatische Rufannahme: Mit dieser Funktion wird die automatische Rufannahme aktiviert
oder deaktiviert.
• Klicken Sie auf YA und wählen Sie EIN oder AUS.
Benutzer: Wenn mehrere Telefone mit der Valeo Freisprecheinrichtung plug in gekoppelt sind,
kann mit dieser Funktion das Haupttelefon bestimmt werden. Das Haupttelefon ist das Telefon,
mit dem die Freisprechanlage als erstes einen Verbindungsaufbau versucht.
• Klicken Sie auf YA, HAUPTANWENDER? erscheint. Bestätigen Sie.

Caller ID: Mit dieser Funktion ist es möglich, die Identität des Anrufers zu kennen. Wenn diese
Funktion aktiviert ist, ertönt bei Empfang eines Anrufs der Name des Anrufers, wenn er in
Ihrem Telefonverzeichnis enthalten ist und Sie ihn mit der Spracherkennung verbunden haben.
• Klicken Sie auf YA und wählen Sie AKTIVIERT oder DEAKTIVIERT.
Multi-Tel: Diese Funktion ist nur bei Telefonen verfügbar, die ausschließlich mit dem HeadsetProfil ausgestattet sind. Das betrifft folgende Telefone: R520, T39, T68m und die ersten T68i
(Softwareversion niedriger als R2E). Mit dieser Option können mehrere Telefone gleichzeitig mit
der Freisprechanlage verwendet werden. Das erste Telefon, mit dem die Freisprechanlage eine
Verbindung aufbaut, ist das Haupttelefon (bis das Telefon ausgeschaltet wird). Wenn für dieses
Telefon die Option MULTI-TEL aktiviert ist, nimmt die Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in auch Anrufe
der anderen Telefone an, die mit der Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in gekoppelt wurden.

Achtung: Die Multi-Tel-Funktion ist auch mit T68i, T610, T616, T618, Z600 und Z608
kompatibel (mit speziellen Softwareversionen – mehr Informationen dazu finden Sie
im Kapitel KONFIGURATION DES TELEFONS). Diese Funktion ist verfügbar, wenn der Energiesparmodus aktiviert ist (Headset-Profil aktiviert – siehe Kapitel KONFIGURATION DES
TELEFONS). Wenn der Modus aktiviert ist, muss die Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in die
Telefone in diesem neuen Modus erkennen. Damit die Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in
die Telefone erkennen kann, müssen Sie jedes Telefon einzeln mit der Freisprechanlage verbinden und die Freisprechanlage nach jeder Erkennung neu starten.
Spracherkennung:
Tel.-Nr.: Schlüsselwörter für den Anruf von visitenkarten: PRIVAT, GESCHÄFTLICH und HANDY. Klicken
Sie auf YA, Tel.-Nr., um die Schlüsselwörter abzurufen. Die Lernsequenz ist identisch mit der
Lernsequenz der Namen.
Wordspotting: Verwendung von Stichwörtern, um einen Anruf zu tätigen und zu beenden.
• Aktiviert > Verwendung der Stichwörter oder Tasten
• Deaktiviert > Verwendung der Tasten
Schlüsselwörter: Lernmenü der Schlüsselwörter TELEFON und AUFLEGEN. Mit diesen Wörtern können Sie einen Anruf entgegennehmen oder ein Besetztzeichen senden, einen Anruf während
des Gesprächs auflegen oder einen von Ihnen getätigten Anruf auflegen. Die Schlüsselwörter
stehen nur zur Verfügung, wenn Sie die Option Wordspotting aktiviert haben.

Persönliches Wörterbuch: Die Schlüsselwörter TELEFON und AUFLEGEN sind auf Deutsch und Französisch bereits im System enthalten. Diese Stimmabdrücke werden automatisch verwendet
(Option PERSÖNLICHES WÖRTERBUCH deaktiviert). Um die Erkennung der Schlüsselwörter zu optimieren, empfehlen wir, Ihre eigene Stimme im Menü SCHLÜSSELWÖRTER aufzunehmen und dann
die Option PERSÖNLICHES WÖRTERBUCH zu aktivieren.
Speicher löschen
Klicken Sie auf YA, RESET? erscheint.
Bestätigen Sie mit YA. Sie hören SPEICHERLÖSCHUNG IM GANGE. BITTE WARTEN. Drücken Sie NEIN, um
den Vorgang abzubrechen.
Der Speicher kann auch ohne die Verwendung des Valeo Menüs gelöscht werden. Drücken Sie
lange die rote und grüne Taste gleichzeitig.

Die Softwareversion des Telefons
Das Profil Ihres Telefons hängt von der Softwareversion des Telefons ab. Um die Softwareversion
herauszufinden, befolgen Sie folgende Anweisungen:

• Option MULTI-TEL verfügbar.
Vorteile des Freisprech-Profils:
• Spracherkennung des Telefons verfügbar (ohne Stimmabdrücke in der Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in).
• DOPPELTER ANRUF & PRIVAT-MODUS durch Tastendruck auf die grüne Taste.
• Verwendung mehrerer Valeo Freisprechanlagen plug in / Bluetooth®-Headsets mit demselben
Telefon (es ist nicht nötig ALS ERSTES GERÄT bei jeder Benutzung der Valeo Freisprechanlage
plug in zu wählen).
Das Telefon T68i ist mit dem Freisprech-Profil und dem Headset-Profil ausgestattet (bei den
Softwareversion, die höher als R5C sind).
Bei folgenden Telefonen sind alle Softwareversionen mit dem Freisprech-Profil und dem Headset-Profil ausgestattet: T610, T616, T618, Z600 und Z608.
In Verbindung mit der Valeo Freisprechanlage plug in wird automatisch das Freisprech-Profil
verwendet.
Bei den neuesten Versionen der Telefone der Marke Sony Ericsson kann der Benutzer zwischen
dem Freisprech-Profil und dem Headset-Profil wählen. (FREISPRECH FAHRZEUG-Funktion).

«Freisprech fahrzeug»
Die neue Funktion FREISPRECH FAHRZEUG ist bei folgenden Telefonen verfügbar:
• T68i mit der Softwareversion R8A015 oder höher.

Zuvor müssen Sie die Sprachwahl mit folgenden Schritten aktivieren:

Namen nach dem Tonsignal aus.

Mit Ihrem Telefon ist es möglich, den Namen des Anrufers zu hören, wenn der Anrufer in Ihrem
Telefonverzeichnis mit Stimmabdruck gespeichert ist.
Diese Option wird mit folgenden Schritten aktiviert:
• Im Menü ÄNDERN klicken Sie auf EINSTELLUNGEN und wählen Sie die Rubrik SPRACHSTEUERUNG.
• Dann aktivieren Sie die Option NAMEN DES ANRUFERS LESEN.

De Valeo hands-free carkit plug in heeft de volgende functies:
• Draadloze radioverbinding met uw telefoon.
• hands-free bellen in full duplex met echo-onderdrukking.
• Demping van de achtergrondgeluiden.
• Spraakherkenning (tot 200 namen)*.
• Automatische synchronisatie van uw telefoonlijst*.
• Koppeling met maximaal 3 telefoons*.
* Deze functie is alleen op bepaalde telefoontoestellen beschikbaar.
Met de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in kunt u bijvoorbeeld:
• Een gesprek aannemen.
• Ophangen.
• Bellen.
• Het laatste nummer herhalen.
• Wisselgesprekken voeren…
Naar gelang het model van uw telefoon zijn er nog andere functies beschikbaar.
De Valeo hands-free carkit plug in functioneert:
• in half duplex als de externe microfoon niet gebruikt wordt.
• in full duplex als de externe microfoon gebruikt wordt.
Het systeem kan op beide manieren communiceren.
Als de interne microfoon gebruikt wordt, zitten de microfoon en de luidspreker dicht bij elkaar
en is dus alleen half duplex mogelijk. Als de bestuurder spreekt, heeft hij voorrang op zijn
gesprekspartner.
Als de externe microfoon gebruikt wordt, moet de connector van de microfoon op de juiste manier in de centrale eenheid zijn gestoken om van half duplex over te schakelen op full duplex.
Er moet genoeg afstand tussen de microfoon en de luidspreker zijn om echo’s te onderdrukken.
De bestuurder en zijn gesprekspartner kunnen dan tegelijkertijd praten.
Zodra de externe microfoon wordt losgemaakt, wordt de half duplex weer ingeschakeld.

Spreek op een natuurlijke manier, alsof er iemand naast u zit. Ga niet harder praten,
want dan werkt de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in beslist minder goed.
Microfoon
De microfoon moet naar de bestuurder zijn gericht en bij voorkeur tussen de zonneklep en de
binnen-achteruitkijkspiegel zijn bevestigd. Hij kan op een andere centrale plaats aangebracht
worden. Breng hem indien mogelijk niet op een deur aan en zorg ervoor dat de ventilatie of
de airco niet direct in de microfoon blaast.
Sigarettenaanstekerplug
De Valeo hands-free carkit plug in functioneert in alle voertuigen (behalve vrachtwagens
uitgerust met 24V). In sommige zeer zeldzame gevallen verdient het echter voorkeur een verlengstuk (niet meegeleverd) op de sigarettenaansteker te plaatsen, zodat de Valeo hands-free
carkit plug in gemakkelijk voor de bestuurder te bereiken is.
Als u de softwareversie van de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in wilt bekijken
Als u wilt weten wat de softwareversie van uw toestel is, kijk dan wat er tijdens de koppelfase
aangegeven staat: de lijst wordt aangegeven op het display van de telefoon. Zo geeft «Valeoplug v3.10» aan dat de softwareversie op uw Valeo hands-free carkit plug in v3.10 is.

Inschakelen
Uw telefoon staat aan; doe de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in in de sigarettenaansteker en
draai het contactsleuteltje van uw auto om. Het blauwe lampje op uw Valeo hands-free carkit
plug in gaat aan en geeft aan dat deze van stroom voorzien wordt.

Belangrijk: Als de carkit voor het eerst wordt ingeschakeld, hoort u de instructie PLEASE
PAIR DEVICE (toestel koppelen) (als dat niet het geval is, dient u een reset uit te voeren
door langdurig tegelijkertijd op de rode en groene knoppen te drukken).
U moet dan uw telefoon met uw Valeo hands-free carkit plug in koppelen: raadpleeg
het betreffende hoofdstuk voor de verschillende modellen.
Als uw telefoon vervolgens op een paar meter afstand van de handsfree carkit komt, zal de
verbinding tussen beide apparaten automatisch tot stand komen.
Zodra u het contact van de auto uitzet of de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in uit de sigarettenaansteker haalt, wordt deze uitgeschakeld.

Bellen met gebruikmaking van spraakherkenning
• Druk éénmaal op de groene knop en zeg na de pieptoon de naam van uw gesprekspartner.
Om deze functie te gebruiken, moet u van te voren spraaklabels (vocale merktekens) aan
de namen in uw telefoonlijst hechten (zie hoofdstuk NAMEN AANLEREN bij het model van uw
telefoon).
Gebeld worden
• Druk éénmaal op de groene knop om op te nemen.
Als u het gesprek wilt weigeren, drukt u op de rode knop.
Als u in de «automatisch opnemen-modus» bent, komt het gesprek automatisch tot stand.
Ophangen aan het eind van het gesprek
• Druk op de rode knop.
Herhaalfunctie
• Druk 2 seconden op de groene knop om het laatste gebelde nummer te bellen.
Wisselgesprek-functie
• Terwijl u in gesprek bent, waarschuwt een geluidssignaal dat iemand anders u wilt bereiken.
• Druk éénmaal op de groene knop om met uw nieuwe gesprekspartner te spreken.
• Als u het wachtende gesprek wilt weigeren, drukt u op de RODE KNOP.
• Druk vervolgens éénmaal op de groene knop om weer met de eerste gesprekspartner te
spreken.
• Om het gesprek te beëindigen, drukt u éénmaal op de rode knop.
Het volume regelen
Het volume wordt vanaf het telefoonmenu geregeld.

Discreet-modus
• Druk tijdens het gesprek op de groene knop van de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in om van
de handsfree-modus over te schakelen naar de discreet-modus. Het gesprek schakelt dan
over naar uw telefoon (alleen voor telefoons met handsfree-profielen).

Als u deze hands-free carkit voor het eerst gebruikt, moet u beginnen met een koppeling

Vanaf dat ogenblik hoort u, als u op de toetsen van uw telefoon drukt, dat het geluid uit de

Met uw telefoon kunt u spraaklabels aan de namen in uw telefoonlijst hechten. Met de Valeo
hands-free carkit plug in kunt u deze spraaklabels gebruiken om uw gesprekspartners te
bellen. U drukt dan op de groene knop van het bedieningspaneel en zegt na de pieptoon de
naam van uw gesprekspartner.
Om een spraaklabel aan een naam te hechten:

• Selecteer op de telefoon NAMEN, kies een naam, klik op OPTIES.
• Klik op OPTIES, selecteer SPRAAKNUMBER TOEVOEGEN, klik op KIEZEN.
• Klik op START en zeg de aangegeven naam.
Om dit spraaklabel te verwijderen:
• Ga naar de telefoonlijst en klik op OPTIES, vervolgens op OPTIES.
• Ga naar SPRAAKHERKENNING en klik op KIEZEN.
• Door op WIJZIGEN te klikken kunt u een nieuw spraaklabel aan de naam hechten.

Namen aanleren
Als u belt met gebruikmaking van de spraakherkenning, schakelt de Valeo hands-free carkit
plug in de spraakherkenning van de telefoon in en maakt gebruik van de reeds op de telefoon
aanwezige spraaklabels (maximaal 15). Om de spraakherkenning van de Valeo hands-free
carkit plug in te kunnen gebruiken, moeten de spraaklabels van de gesprekspartners in uw
telefoonlijst één voor één in de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in ingevoerd worden.
• Druk 2 seconden op de rode knop van de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in, selecteer via de

• Zet de motor, radio en ventilatie af.

Wordspotting-functie (sleutelwoorden)
Als de Wordspotting-functie (sleutelwoorden) geactiveerd is, kunt u met een commando bellen
en opnemen door een sleutelwoord uit te spreken, zonder op de knoppen van de Valeo handsfree carkit plug in te drukken.
• Om een gesprek aan te nemen: zeg TELEFOON.
• Om te bellen: zeg TELEFOON, wacht op de pieptoon, en zeg de naam van uw gesprekspartner.
• Om het gesprek te verbreken: zeg OPHANGEN.
Als er voor dezelfde naam meerdere nummers zijn opgeslagen (visitekaartje of Vcard),
geschiedt het bellen met behulp van spraakherkenning op de volgende manier:
zeg TELEFOON, wacht op de pieptoon, en zeg de naam van uw gesprekspartner. De Valeo
hands-free carkit plug in herhaalt de naam en laat een pieptoon horen. Zeg dan het te bellen
nummer: THUIS, WERK of MOBIEL . U moet na elk woord op een pieptoon wachten.
Bijvoorbeeld: “Telefoon, {piep}, Nicolaas, {piep}, mobiel”.
Raadpleeg het hoofdstuk Valeo Menu om deze functie in te schakelen.
Automatisch opnemen
Als deze functie ingeschakeld is, wordt u na twee keer bellen automatisch verbonden, zonder
dat u op de groene knop hoeft te drukken.
Identiteit van de beller (caller ID)
Met deze functie kunt u weten wie belt. Als deze functie ingeschakeld is, wordt bij een binnenkomend gesprek de naam van uw gesprekspartner uitgesproken. Maar hij moet dan wel in uw
telefoonlijst zijn opgenomen en een spraaklabel bezitten.

Discreet-modus
U kunt de Discreet-modus inschakelen en het gesprek van de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in
op uw telefoon overzetten. Dit kan gebeuren terwijl u in gesprek bent.
• Druk op de OPTIETOETS van uw telefoon, dan op < tot DOORSCHAKELEN : klik op JA. Er verschijnt dan
OP TELEFOON OVERSCHAKELEN: klik op JA. Het gesprek schakelt dan over naar uw telefoon.
• U kunt ook op de groene knop van de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in drukken om het
gesprek op uw telefoon over te zetten. Om het gesprek handsfree voort te zetten, drukt u
opnieuw op de groene knop (deze functie is alleen beschikbaar op de telefoons die met het
«handsfree-profiel» zijn uitgerust – raadpleeg het hoofdstuk CONFIGUREREN VAN DE TELEFOON om
te weten welk profiel op uw telefoon gebruikt wordt).
Om handmatig te bellen:
Kies het nummer op uw telefoon: het gesprek wordt automatisch overgezet op de handsfree carkit.

Belangrijk: Als het gesprek dat u met de T68i met de hand overzet, op de telefoon
blijft, moet u uw telefoon zo instellen dat alle gesprekken die handmatig gevoerd
worden automatisch naar de handsfree carkit geleid worden. Selecteer VERBINDEN in
het menu van de telefoon.

Lijst: Laat de namen van uw telefoonlijst zien. De namen waaraan een spraaklabel is gehecht,
worden voorafgegaan door een sterretje (*).
Om een spraaklabel aan een naam te hechten: ga naar deze naam en bevestig door op JA te klikken.
Zoeken: hiermee kunt een naam zoeken door de beginletter van de naam in te tikken; klik
daarna op JA.
Instellingen:
Volume: Met deze functie kan de geluidssterkte van de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in
afgesteld worden.
• Klik op JA en regel het volume met < of >. Bevestig door op JA te klikken.
Automatisch opnemen: Met deze functie kan het automatisch opnemen in of buiten werking
gesteld worden.
• Klik op JA, en kies dan tussen AAN of UIT.
Gebruiker: Als er verschillende telefoons aan de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in gekoppeld
zijn, kan met deze functie besloten worden welke telefoon voorrang heeft. De telefoon die
voorrang heeft is de eerste telefoon waarmee de kit zich probeert te verbinden.
• Klik op JA, HOOFDGEBRUIKER? verschijnt, bevestig.

Caller ID: Met deze functie kunt u weten wie er belt. Als deze functie ingeschakeld is, wordt
bij een binnenkomend gesprek de naam van uw gesprekspartner uitgesproken. Maar hij moet
dan wel in uw telefoonlijst zijn opgenomen en een spraaklabel bezitten.
Klik op JA, en kies dan tussen AAN of UIT.
Multi-Tel: Deze functie is alleen beschikbaar voor telefoons die voorzien zijn van het HEADSETprofiel. De betreffende telefoons zijn de R520, T39, T68m en de eerste T68i (softwareversie
ouder dan R2E). Met deze optie kunnen deze telefoons tegelijk, gedurende dezelfde sessie van
de carkit, gebruikt worden. De eerste telefoon waaraan de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in
zich verbindt, wordt de voorrangs-telefoon voor de rest van de sessie. Als de optie MULTI-TEL
aan staat voor deze telefoon, accepteert de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in binnenkomende
gesprekken van de andere telefoons die voordien aan de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in zijn
gekoppeld.
N.B.: De functie Multi-Tel is voortaan compatibel met de T68i, T610, T616, T618, Z600
en Z608 (met de afzonderlijke softwareversies – zie het volgende hoofdstuk, CONFIGUREREN VAN DE TELEFOON). Deze functie is beschikbaar als de ENERGIEBESPARINGS-modus aan
staat (profiel «Headset» ingeschakeld – zie hoofdstuk CONFIGUREREN VAN DE TELEFOON). Als
deze modus ingeschakeld is, moet de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in elke telefoon
in deze nieuwe modus herkennen. Hiervoor is het nodig de telefoons stuk voor stuk
met de Valeo hands-free carkit plug in te verbinden en deze na elke identificatie
opnieuw te starten..
Spraakherkenning:
Tel. nr: De sleutelwoorden waarmee de visitekaartjes gebeld kunnen worden: THUIS, WERK en
MOBIEL. Deze zijn toegankelijk door op JA, tel.nr. te klikken. De sleutelwoorden worden op
dezelfde manier geleerd als de namen.
Wordspotting: Als deze optie ingesteld is, kan gebruik gemaakt worden van de sleutelwoorden
om iemand te bellen en om het gesprek te beëindigen.
• AAN gebruik van de sleutelwoorden en de knoppen.
• UIT alleen de knoppen kunnen gebruikt worden.
Sleutelwoorden: Het menu waar de sleutelwoorden TELEFOON en OPHANGEN geleerd worden.
Met deze beide sleutelwoorden kan een binnenkomend gesprek opgenomen worden en elk
gesprek (binnenkomend, aan de gang zijnd en uitgaand) beëindigd worden. Hiervoor is het
nodig dat de optie Wordspotting is ingeschakeld.

Pers. Woordenboek: Voor het Frans en het Duits zijn er vooraf ingesproken spraaklabels voor
de sleutelwoorden TELEFOON en OPHANGEN. Deze spraaklabels worden standaard gebruikt (optie
PERS. WOORDENBOEK uitgeschakeld). Om deze sleutelwoorden zo herkenbaar mogelijk te maken,
verdient het aanbeveling uw eigen spraaklabels in het menu SLEUTELWOORDEN in te spreken, en
daarna de optie PERS. WOORDENBOEK- in te schakelen.
Het geheugen wissen:
Klik op JA, en GEHEUGEN WISSEN? wordt zichtbaar;
Bevestig door op JA te klikken en u hoort HET GEHEUGEN WORDT GEWIST EVEN WACHTEN. Druk op NEE
om te annuleren.
Het is mogelijk het geheugen te wissen zonder het Valeo MENU te gebruiken. Druk hiervoor
langdurig tegelijkertijd op de rode en de groene knop.
!
LET OP: als u het geheugen wist, moet er een nieuwe koppelingsfase uitgevoerd
worden.

Configureren van de telefoon
De softwareversie van de telefoon vinden
De softwareversie van de telefoon bepaalt het profiel van uw telefoon. Om te weten welke
versie u gebruikt, kunt u de volgende procedure volgen:
• Op het startmenu, met behulp van de joystick:
• Druk éénmaal op RECHTS, klik op*.
• Druk tweemaal op LINKS, klik op*.
• Druk éénmaal op LINKS, klik op*.
• In het menu INFO SERVICE, wordt SOFTWAREINFORMATIE, de versie van de software, op de eerste
regel aangegeven.
Profielen «Headset» en «Hands-free»
De voordelen van het HEADSET-profiel zijn:
• Verbinding van de telefoon die gebruik maakt van de Bluetooth®-technologie met de valeo
plug in handsfree carkit alleen tijdens de gesprekken (batterij-besparend)
• Gebruik van de optie MULTI-TEL mogelijk.
De voordelen van het HANDSFREE-profiel zijn:
• Gebruik van de spraakherkenning van de telefoon mogelijk (zonder spraaklabel in de valeo
plug in handsfree carkit)
• WISSELGESPREK en DISCREET-MODUS door op de groene knop te drukken.
• Gebruik van verschillende valeo plug in handsfree carsets/bt audio-toestellen met dezelfde
telefoon (niet nodig bij elk gebruik van de valeo plug in handsfree carkit een voorrangstelefoon te kiezen).
De t68i met softwareversies hoger dan r5c bezit zowel het profiel HANDSFREE als het profiel HEADSET.
Alle softwareversies van de volgende telefoons bezitten zowel het profiel HANDSFREE als het
profiel HEADSET. T610, T616, T618, Z600 en Z608.
Het profiel HANDSFREE wordt standaard gebruikt bij de valeo plug in handsfree carkit.
Op de laatste softwareversies van de sony ericsson is een nieuwe functie verschenen, waardoor tussen het HANDSFREE- en het HEADSET-profiel gekozen kan worden, de functie: HANDSFREE
VOERTUIG.

«hands-free Voertuig»
Een nieuwe functie, HANDSFREE VOERTUIG genaamd, is beschikbaar voor de volgende telefoons:
• T68i met softwareversie r8a015 of hoger.
• T610/t618 met softwareversie r1l013 of hoger.
• T616 met alle softwareversies.
• Z600 met softwareversie r2d001 of hoger.
• Z608 met softwareversie r2e004 of hoger.
Met HANDSFREE VOERTUIG kan de telefoon alleen compatibel zijn met het profiel HEADSET of met
het profiel HANDSFREE (menu VERBINDINGEN, vervolgens BLUETOOTH®, daarna OPTIES).
Selecteer, om te kiezen tussen de profielen HEADSET en HANDSFREE, het juiste profiel in het menu
HANDSFREE VOERTUIG.
De ENERGIEBESPARINGS-modus activeert het profiel HEADSET.
De GEAVANCEERDE-modus activeert het profiel HANDSFREE.

Koppeling
• Open het dekseltje van uw telefoon en kies het pictogram TOEPASSING in de werkbalk.
• Klik op het CONFIGURATIESCHERM, klik op het tabblad VERBINDINGEN.
• Selecteer BLUETOOTH®, klik op TOEVOEGEN. Er wordt nu gezocht.
• Selecteer VALEOPLUG…. De verbinding komt tot stand.
• Voer de code 1234 in. Klik op OK.
• VALEOPLUG… wordt aangegeven in de lijst BLUETOOTH®-APPARATEN. Klik op OK.

Opmerking: Als de koppeling tot stand is gekomen, wacht dan op de pieptoon voordat
u belt.
Namen aanleren
Met uw telefoon kunt u spraaklabels aan de namen in uw telefoonboek hechten. Met de
Valeo hands-free carkit plug in kunt u deze spraaklabels gebruiken om uw gesprekspartners
te bellen.
Hiervoor moet u vooraf de vocale nummering inschakelen. Voer de volgende stappen uit:
• Open het dekseltje van uw telefoon en kies het pictogram TELEFOON in de werkbalk.
• Klik in het menu BEWERKEN op VOORKEUREN.
• Schakel in de rubriek VOCALE CONTROLE de optie VOCAAL NUMMERKIEZEN in.
Spreek vervolgens de bij uw gesprekspartners behorende spraaklabels in:
• Open het dekseltje van uw telefoon en kies het pictogram TELEFOONBOEK in de werkbalk.
• Kies een naam uit de lijst, klik op de optie BEWERKEN, klik op CONTACT BEWERKEN.
• Klik ok het pictogram SPRAAKBESTURING, klik op OPNEMEN en spreek na de pieptoon.
• Beëindig door verschillende malen op VOLTOOIEN te klikken.

Advies: Spreek de namen in terwijl u uw telefoon bij uw oor houdt.

Automatisch opnemen
• Klik in het menu WIJZIGEN op VOORKEUREN.
• Selecteer in de rubriek HANDSFREE en de sectie ONTVANGSTMODUS: NA 5 SECONDEN.
• Beëindig door verschillende malen op VOLTOOID te klikken.
Beantwoorden
U kunt met uw telefoon d.m.v. spraakherkenning binnenkomende gesprekken aannemen
of weigeren. dan moet u eerst de spraaklabels inspreken die overeenkomen met de opties
antwoorden en bezet.
Hiervoor moet u vooraf de vocale beantwoording inschakelen. Voer de volgende stappen uit:
• Klik in het menu BEWERKEN op VOORKEUREN.
• Schakel in de rubriek VOCALE CONTROLE de optie VOCALE BEANTWOORDING in.
Beantwoorden: Let op, als deze optie ingeschakeld is, hoort u bij een binnenkomend
! gesprek de beltoon niet in de kit, maar alleen via de telefoon. De beltonen zijn uitgeschakeld om u in staat te stellen d.m.v. spraakcommando’s op te nemen.
Caller ID:
Met uw telefoon kunt u de naam van de beller horen, als deze tenminste in uw telefoonboek
bestaat en als er een spraaklabel aan gehecht is.
Daarvoor moet u deze optie eerst inschakelen:
• Klik in het menu EDIT op VOORKEUR, en kies dan de rubriek SPRAAKHERKENNING
• Schakel vervolgens de optie BELLER ID in.

Caller ID: Let op, als deze optie ingeschakeld is, hoort u bij een binnenkomend gesprek de beltoon niet in de kit. De beltonen zijn opzettelijk uitgeschakeld om u in staat
te stellen de naam van de beller te horen. Tijdens een binnenkomend gesprek kunt u
toch opnemen door op de groene knop te drukken.
