vestae In occasione del Salone del Mobile 2016, i venti studenti di Creative Academy, la scuola internazionale di design del Gruppo Richemont con sede a Milano, lavoreranno sotto la guida di Alberto Nespoli e Domenico Rocca per progettare una piccola collezione ispirata al wellness, dove la capacità creativa incontra il saper-fare artigianale. E si manifesta in un luogo d’eccezione. Alla dea della vita domestica, della UN PROGETTO DI casa e del sacro fuoco è infatti dedicato il progetto portato avanti per il Salone del Mobile 2016 da Creative Academy insieme a Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, con il supporto della Maison Van Cleef & Arpels. Vestae si inscrive nella programmazione didattica di Creative Academy, la scuola internazionale di design che il gruppo Richemont (top player nel mondo del lusso, che comprende Maison quali Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Vacheron Constantin, Montblanc, Piaget, Jaeger-LeCoultre e molte altre) ha fondato a Milano nel 2003: come ormai da tradizione, infatti, in occasione del Salone del Mobile i 20 studenti internazionali della scuola (espressione, quest’anno, di 11 diverse nazionalità) si confronteranno con il saper-fare dei territori, per completare il percorso iniziato con un seminario ad hoc sui Mestieri d’Arte e per creare una collezione incentrata su materiali suggestivi e delicati quali la spugna naturale, il sapone e il tessuto a nido d’ape. Guidati da Alberto Nespoli e Domenico Rocca, fondatori del nuovo brand Eligo insieme a Leo Prusicki, CON IL SUPPORTO DI gli studenti dovranno non solo progettare una capsule collection che valorizzi le texture, le profumazioni, i colori e le possibilità espressive dei materiali, ma saranno chiamati anche a confrontarsi con il packaging, l’installazione della mostra e la grafica relativa alla comunicazione del progetto, sviluppando così integralmente il brief. Vestae ha dunque il duplice valore di guidare gli studenti verso il mondo del lavoro, stimolandoli a comprendere le possibilità offerte dai maestri SI RINGRAZIA d’arte e dal mercato, e di investigare lo scenario domestico del benessere attraverso una magica installazione, che grazie alla collaborazione con il FAI verrà allestita presso un luogo emblematico: l’Albergo Diurno Venezia di Milano, ambiente attribuito all’architetto Piero Portaluppi come simbolo del benessere per i milanesi. La mostra, dedicata ai prodotti ma anche ai progetti, al making-of e allo sviluppo didattico del progetto, vuole pertanto esaltare il luogo e vestae rispettarne le pre-esistenze architettoniche, lasciandole intatte. Le realtà artigianali e produttive selezionate per collaborare con Creative Academy sono tre: Busatti, che lavora artigianalmente tessuti in fibre naturali; Cose della Natura, che produce spugne e articoli naturali per il benessere personale; Valobra, che realizza fini saponi con ingredienti purissimi. 12 – 17 APRILE 2016 ALBERGO DIURNO VENEZIA MILANO Per quanto riguarda l’allestimento Creative Academy collabora con Bonaveri, straordinaria realtà italiana leader nella realizzazione di manichini e con Viabizzuno, un’azienda che crea cultura e benessere attraverso l’illuminazione. To the Goddess of domestic life, home and the sacred flame is dedicated the project realized for the 2016 edition of the Salone del Mobile by Creative Academy along with the Cologni Foundation for the Métiers d’Art, with the support of the Maison Van Cleef & Arpels. Vestae is integrated into the educational program of Creative Academy, the international school of design founded in 2003 by the Richemont Group (top player in the luxury world, encompassing Maisons such as Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Vacheron Constantin, Montblanc, Piaget, JaegerLeCoultre and many others): once again, on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile, the 20 international students of the school (representing this year 11 different nationalities) will start a dialogue with an artisanal savoir-faire, completing a path started with a dedicated seminar on the Métiers d’Art and creating a collection with evocative and delicate materials, such as natural sponge, soap and waffle fabrics. Led by Alberto Nespoli and Domenico Rocca, founders together with Leo Prusicki of WITH THE SUPPORT OF the new brand Eligo, the students will develop the brief entirely, not only designing a capsule collection enhancing the texture, fragrances, colors and expressive potential of the materials, but also concentrating on the packaging, the exhibition setup and the graphics related to the communication of the project. Vestae has a double value: to drive the students towards the professional world, encouraging them to understand the possibilities offered by the SPECIAL THANKS TO master craftsmen and the market, and to investigate the domestic scenery of wellness through an awesome location. Thanks to the collaboration with FAI, in fact, Vestae will be staged in the Albergo Diurno Venezia in Milan, attributed to the legendary architect Piero Portaluppi and conceived as a symbol of the Milanese well-being. The exhibition, dedicated to the products as well as to the projects, the making-of and the didactic development of each phase, aims at vestae enhancing the possibilities offered by the location while at the same time respecting and leaving untouched the pre-existing architectural structures. Creative Academy will collaborate with three excellent ateliers. Busatti, specializing in artisanal fabrics and natural fibers; Cose della Natura, a specialist on sponges and natural items for personal wellness; and Valobra, renown for its fine toiletries and soaps made with the purest 12th – 17th APRIL 2016 ingredients.
