INVITATION TO BID ON TIMBER
As agents for Joanne Sizemore, we invite you to submit a sealed "lump sum" bid on designated pine and
hardwood timber located on the Sizemore Tract in Upson County, Georgia. The timber offered for sale
includes all pine and hardwood trees marked with blue paint within the marked select cut area and all pine and
hardwood trees within the clearcut areas. The boundary of the 32 acre clearcut is delineated with red paint
along the Streamside Management Zone (SMZ) and pink ribbon and an old fence on the north line. The
Virginia Pine clearcut area is a well defined 2 acre stand of planted Virginia Pine. The timber sale is further
designated by the attached timber sale map.
NOTE: The pine sawtimber and chip-n-saw is above average quality.
Professional foresters employed by Knapp-Barrs & Associates did all cruising and marking. A 100% tally was
made of all marked trees. We stake our reputation on the professional standards of this work, however each
prospective purchaser should determine for himself the volumes. Our cruised volumes are as follows:

Stock and Stand Table, Timber Type, and Location Map are attached. Mark the envelope Sizemore Tract. All
bids are considered acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth in this invitation.
The successful bidder will be required to enter into a written contract, a sample of which is available for
inspection at our office. Closing is expected on or before thirty (30) days from the date of acceptance of bid.
Upon signing a contract, the Purchaser shall deposit a performance bond of $2,000.00 into Knapp-Barrs &
Associates, Inc., non-interest bearing Forestry Escrow Account. Said amount shall be held until such time as
Purchaser shall fulfill all requirements of the timber sale contract. A quality logging job with a minimum
amount of soil disturbance is expected. Unnecessary damage to residual stand is to be minimized.
Loading areas and road construction will be approved in advance by Knapp-Barrs. Compliance with
Georgia's Best Management Practices for Harvesting and road construction is mandatory. Operations
may begin as soon as contract is consummated. Termination date of contract shall be 12 months from date of
execution.
Date to Show Timber: Purchasers are invited to inspect the timber on their own or call if assistance is needed.
Date Bids Will Be Opened: WEDNESDAY, JULY 25, 2007 @ 2 PM at the office of Knapp-Barrs &
Associates, Inc. Bids will be accepted by mail or by fax with the signature of an authorized employee making
the bid. Bidders are welcome to attend the bid opening and will be notified of the successful bidder.
The Seller reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to select as the successful bidder the one deemed
most satisfactory in its judgement. Seller may want to visit a previous job to assure logging quality.
