Dear Colleagues,
each of us, the guided implantology users, has his own convictions, but we are all fully aware to belong to a group of
enthusiasts who have been working on these new technologies since a long time. We remember that during those
pioneering years critics were laughing at us who were tinkering and spending useless time on computers. Today, on the
contrary, we have all necessary proofs to be faster, to have improved the quality, the accuracy, and the safety of
implantology, having also opened up new treatment opportunities. Hence, it is with pleasure that we see the scientific
contributions from so many friends, among them international famous experts who, today like yesterday, still believe in
Computer Guided Implantology potential on all clinical applications: from minimal invasive to reconstructive and
orthognatic surgery. We have therefore organized a two day symposium at Istituto “A.Beretta”, that saw the beginning
of its clinical activities since 1919, to confront and share the ultimate technological “3D planning” applications.
