b The Ghosbusters 5D-The Ultimate Ghost Hunt interactive dark ride by Triotech is set to open at the Merlin Entertainments’ Heide Park this year. b Quest’anno la dark ride interattiva Ghosbusters 5D-The Ultimate Ghost Hunt prodotta da Triotech arriva all’Heide Park del gruppo Merlin Entertainments. ‘Ghostbusters’, il cult movie del 1984 che ha fatto ridere generazioni di spettatori e prodotto un sequel, due serie animate e un reboot, diventa all’Heide Park anche una dark ride interattiva per tutta la famiglia ‘Ghostbusters’, the 1984 cult movie that has made generations of spectators laugh and has now produced a sequel, 2 animated series and a reboot, at Heide Park has also been made into an interactive dark ride for the whole family WHO YOU GONNA CALL? GHOSTBUSTERS! I f faced with an imaginary roulette wheel representing the leisure industry we were asked to bet on the winning trend in 2017, we would have no doubt in placing many of our chips on movies, shows and games that become attractions. For the last couple of years now, the combination of parks and important IP from the world of cinema, TV and video games is in fact becoming closer- and closer-knit, and this bond looks like getting even stronger. Last year, just to name a few, American parks Carowinds and California’s Great America respectively inaugurated Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare: 3Z Arena and Mass Effect: New Earth , both inspired by successful video games, while on the other side of the ocean, Italian park Gardaland introduced the Kung Fu Panda Academy area. In 2017, we will see the much-awaited summer at Disney's Animal Kingdom, where GAMES & PARKS INDUSTRY 1 - 2017 E CHI CHIAMERAI? I GHOSTBUSTER! “Questo genere di attrazioni piaccio- news - notizie HEIDE PARK RESORT Location: Soltau, northern Germany, between Hamburg and Hanover Opened in: 1978 (since 2007 operated by Merlin Entertainments) Occupied area: 85ha Rides and Attractions: over 50 spread over 4 themed areas Accomodation: Abenteurhotel, featuring over 160 themed rooms, restaurants, waterpark and sauna area and conference center; Holiday Camp sleeping over 540 people in 81 wooden lodges; Bully Camp with 7 specially adapted Volkswagen T2 campervans, each of which set up with 2 beds and other comforts. Triotech will also run the attraction with their partner there. ‘THE WALKING DEAD’ COMING TO LAS VEGAS Ghostbusters 5D isn’t the only attraction themed on a popular brand Triotech is developing. Coming in summer 2017 to Fremont Street Experience, the 5-block entertainment district located in historic downtown Las Vegas already featuring Viva Vision, the world’s largest video screen suspended 28m above the urban pedestrian mall and the unique SlotZilla zip line attraction, is Fear The Walking Dead interactive walk-through attraction by Triotech based on the popular horror TV series. The immersive attraction is being entirely developed by the Canadian company in partnership with AMC. “You’re going to feel like you live inside the TV I ‘WALKING DEAD’ INVADONO A LAS VEGAS Ghostbusters 5D non è la sola attrazione tematizzata su un brand di successo a cui sta lavorando Triotech. L’azienda canadese, assieme a un partner in loco, curerà anche la gestione dell’attrazione. the Avatars that enchanted audiences around the world in 2009 when the movie came out will finally come to life with the opening of Pandora-the World of Avatar. “Attractions-themed with a well-known intellectual property are a hit with a theme park guests because they instantly understand the premise, environment and basic story line,” says Christian Martin, vice president of marketing for Montreal-based Triotech, a world leader in media based interactive attractions with products installed in more than 50 countries across all continents. “They are also popular with operators – theme parks an others – because of precisely the same reason: the public aready knows the brand which makes marketing the attraction easier for the operator.” It’s no accident that we mentioned Triotech. In recent months the Canadian company is working alongside Sony Pictures Entertainment and Ghost Corps to create Ghostbusters 5D-Die ultimative Geisterjagd (Ghostbusters 5D-The Ultimate Ghost Hunt) interactive dark ride for Heide Park di Soltau, the largest and most visited theme park in northern Germany that Merlin Entertainments has been operating since 2007. The new family ride, for ages 6 and over, will be Europe’s only 5D ‘Ghostbusters’ experience, and it will be based on the 1984 classic and 2016 reboot. Equipped with laser proton pistols, a ghost trap and 3D glasses, riders will take a ride on Ecto-1-shaped cars through a spooky warehouse and fight in teams of 8 alongside the Ghostbusters. Guests will need to keep their wits about them because ghosts will appear suddenly and can sometimes only be heard but not seen. “The family target continues to be the focus of Heide Park. Following Dragon Trainer-The Island and Desert Racer Kids Driving School , this year we come back with an adventure for the whole family,” said Sabrina de Carvalho, CEO of the German park. “A 7.2 million euro investment, our biggest ever on a family ride, Ghostbusters 5D-Die ultimative Geisterjagd will also be the first indoor attraction at our park”. Ghostbusters 5D sorgerà all’interno dell’ex Spencer Halle precedentemente adibita a spettacoli. n
