COME VERE OPERE D’ARTE. Stilisticamente puliti e caratterizzati dai soliti toni “lucidi e vivi”, anche i nuovi
acquari completi presentati da Aquatic Nature e da
Aquael: il lucido acrilico, i toni bianchi e rossi, sembrano costituire il tormentone dei prossimi anni. Lo riprende
anche Juwel per realizzare delle vere e proprie opere
d’arte, piccole coppe con calice, superficie multicolore e tecnologia ben nascosta e protetta (foto 4). D’altra
parte, la linea con base ristretta e vasca “a coppa” è
ormai ben affermata e presentata da vari produttori,
da Ferplast a Boyu passando da Virea.
Ferplast, in particolare, propone acquari dalla linea
naturale (foto 5), dotati di impianto di illuminazione a
led e con controllo dimmer di tipo touch: tocchi il
coperchio e la luce cambia intensità. Così come
appaiono compatti ed eleganti i magnifici e superaccessoriati acquari completi di alta gamma presentati
da Eheim e Aqua One e, similmente, i begli acquari
completi presentati da Diversa, che apparivano veramente nuovi nello stile e nella tecnologia, dalle linee
per bambini a quelle per caridina sino ai modelli professionali di grande formato: montano impianti di illuminazione a LED che permettono di controllare tutti i
parametri di spettro e intensità.
Interessanti anche gli acquari “quadro” di Preis e le linee
limpide degli acquari AkvaStabil. Totalmente diversa la
serie di acquari BiOrb: dalla boccia al parallelepipedo
curvo, appaiono decisamente atipici, ma sono veri
acquari, molto funzionali e ben progettati, e la gamma
si arricchisce di piccole telecamere macro che permettono di entrare nel mondo microscopico dell’acquario.
IN NOME DELLO STILE. Si distinguono per stile e tecnologia
gli acquari Dymax (foto 6): piccoli acquari completi di
aspetto essenziale, contenenti un intero set di accessori

Interzoo 2012: a rich showcase of novelties for the aquarium hobby
Interzoo took place in Nuremberg on 17th – 20th May. As usual, it was a
huge event that attracted the attention of the pet supplies market: the
queues at the registration counters were very long but everything went on
smoothly and successfully.
Who claim that the crisis is affecting the pet supplies market should reflect
upon the enthusiasm and ferment found at Interzoo 2012 to change their
minds: the manufacturers invested in many innovative products, the
distributors acted with renewed energy and many were the buyers that
networked with the exhibitors. The foreign delegations covered entire halls,
in some cases: the largest were the American and Chinese Pavilions, but
there were also delegations from Malaysia, Singapore and other countries.
For all the buyers that had no chance to participate in the show but also for
the ones that did and now need to collect their thoughts, Vimax Magazine
offers a report of the most interesting products that Interzoo showcased for
the aquarium hobby: also this year we detected some very interesting
trends that will certainly drive the market in the years ahead. We will
therefore try to show you those guidelines.
COMPLETE TANKS. Let’s start with the first trend: the easy tank with style.
Companies from all the world, also Eastern manufacturers, invested in the
design of elegant tanks easy to manage and conceived to be the
protagonists of the home interior.
Tetra exhibited the Deco Art range, which included several decoration
materials, stickers, artificial plants. It also presented the redesigned range
of AquaArt tanks: more modern and easily suiting any kind of interior.
A dream is the range of tanks that Red Sea exhibited: complete aquariums
designed to work simultaneously and including all the necessary
accessories (picture 1), even a comfortable stair for maintenance.
Hagen - that has been concentrating on elegance for long, in Italy –
exhibited several modern tanks: very interesting, for instance, was the
range Fluval Sea (picture 2), that included a system of very refined
aquariums and nice accessories (we cannot add comments about the
performances, it is too early to judge). The Marina range now includes new
eccentric models, with curved glasses, column aquariums, etc., all
complete and easy to use.
Compact, elegant and highly performing is also the complete aquarium
that Sera presented (picture 3). Probably the most astonishing product in
the Sera stand was the 2,000 litres tank located behind the bar counter: a
real freshwater ocean with amazing and perfectly healthy cichlids.
Certainly the best promotion for the company, who has always been
concentrating on fish health.
LIKE REAL ARTWORKS. Stylistically clean and characterised by the usual
“bright and vivid” colours; they are the tanks that Aquatic Nature and
Aquael exhibited. The glossy acrylic, the white and red colours seem to be
the trends of the future. Also Juwel follows that trend and produces real
artworks: small goblets with multicolour surface and very well hidden and
protected technology (picture 4). It is a fact that aquariums with shrinking
base and “cup” tanks are now already popular and supplied by many
manufacturers, from Ferplast to Boyu and Virea.

Altri produttori preferiscono dedicarsi a singole specie. Per esempio al betta, al quale numerosi marchi (come Tetra)
dedicano acquari completi e accessori. Bello l’acquario per betta presentato da Ciano (foto 7) perché segue, in piccolo, gli standard di stile definiti per le vasche di maggiori dimensioni, così come i magnifici acquari, anche con vetri
curvi, presentati da Aquatlantis (foto 8).
Aquapor inventa l’acquario con lo sfondo incorporato: una serigrafia posteriore permette di trasferirci a New York o nel
cuore della foresta equatoriale.
Ma stile non ha lo stesso significato per tutti: alcuni rincorrono l’acquario naturale, altri quello “pugno nell’occhio”. Marchi come Dohse Aquaristik presentavano serie, molto complete, di terribili spauracchi in plastica atossica, mentre Zolux
proponeva la linea di acquari eccentrici di piccola taglia, gli acquari “zen”, i materiali da arredamento atipici… buoni
anche quelli per soddisfare le esigenze estetiche di una parte del pubblico.
