Paul torna con un nuovo show e il
nuovo album “Icke Wieder”. Ma il ricordo
dello scorso anno con “Sky and Sand” live
mentre albeggiava è una cosa che manco a
Berlino sono riuscito a provare, ed è uno
dei ricordi del Cocoricò che tengo più
stretti nel cuore. Con lui anche Maya Jane
Coles tutta after londinesi e deep house,
e gente come Chase and Status i cui bassi...
La nuova onda Italiana di Tale of Us e
quella Olandese di Tom Trago....
Paul is back with a new show and a new
album “Icke Wieder”. But the memory of
last year, at the dawn listening to “Sky And
Sand” live it's something that not even in
Berlin I got the chance to feel again, and
it's one of the most cherished memory of
Cocoricò I keep in my heart. With him
tonight Maya Jane Coles, deep house and
people like Chase and Status whose heavy
low beats will echoed in the afterlife. Italian
new wavers like Tale of us and Dutch disco
reinassance with Tom Trago. Ready?

In tempi attuali di crisi (economica,
ambientale, sociale e politica) ci si aggrappa
a situazioni sovrumane. Si tenta di trovare
certezze in tutto ciò che non dipenda
unicamente dalle scelte dell’uomo, come per
esempio la scienza, la magia, l’astrologia,
l’esoterismo, la religione. Il Cocoricò, in
tutto ciò, si pone come diversivo e le risposte
che offre alla crisi sono grandi nottate
spensierate con i migliori DJ attualmente
sulla scena. Rituali esoterici che si svolgono
ogni week end dell’anno e con più frequenza
d’estate. La piramide trasparente, con la sua
forma dal significato mistico di proiezione
verso l’infinito, è il luogo dove prendono vita
queste notti. La magia che si crea, tra il sacro
e il profano, è scandita dalla scientificità della
musica, techno, house, trance o dubstep.
Non a caso è stata anche fondata la Cocoricò
Religion: setta con tutti i DJ resident, profeti
del verbo musicale. Un’esperienza unica
nel suo genere, aiutata da un incredibile
impianto audio e un enorme video wall
di led. L’ambizione del Cocoricò è quella
di farvi passare ore indimenticabili tra il
buio e l’alba, per poi liberarvi senza vincoli
di devozione. Anche se è quasi sicuro che
una volta provata l’emozione avrete sempre
più voglia di raggiungere la piramide come
se fosse la vostra Mecca. Pronti per essere

With the crisis affecting our time
(economically, environmentally, socially,
and politically), we try to get a hold on
super human situations. We are looking
for certainties in everything but human
coiches, for example science, magic,
astrology, esotericism and religion. Cocoricò
offers a way of diverting the attention by
organizing nights with the best DJs around.
Esoteric rituals that take place every week
end of the year, and more frequently during
summer. The transparent pyramid, with his
mystic shape reminding of the projection
towards the infinite, it’s the place where
everything take place. A scientific techno,
house, trance and dubstep music perfectly
melts with the sacred and magic venue.
It’s not a case that someone gave birth
to the Cocoricò Religion: a religious sect
composed by the best DJs resident, prophet
of the musical Word. A unique experience,
thanks also to an amazing audio equipment
and a massive led viedo wall. Cocoricò goal
is to make you live memorable moments,
between darkness and dawn, and only then
send you home free. Even if it’s almost sure
that once you tried this experience you
will want to come back, and need join the
pyramid. This will become your Mecca.

Il Sabato della riviera è Cocoricò,
oramai entrato nelle vene di chi i club se
li gode dall’inizio alla fine, attraversando
le colline e percorrendo lunghe distanze.
L’inverno appena trascorso ci fa capire che
il Cocoricò è cresciuto ed ha raggiunto
vette mai esplorate in termini di qualità e
quantità. Sarei curioso di vedere perquale
altro posto del mondo la gente è disposta
a tanto. Gli stessi DJ rimangono stupiti e
magazine internazionali prestigiosi citano
il caso Cocco come una anomalia.
Sappiamo che è solo l’inizio.
Cocoricò saturday is now like blood
in the clubbers veins. A place for people
that want to experience the best of the
contemporary club culture. They drive
long hours, trough hills and highways
to see the sunrise under pyramidal roof
of Cocoricò. I am curious to know
which other club in the world has so
faithfull disciples. DJs themselves are
suprised when they play here and Well
known international magazines are also
mentioning it as a unusual case.
This is only the beginning.

Maurizi, dal Cassero di Bologna, è stato
il primo italiano a uscire su Minus. Mass Prod,
dopo il progetto con Kalabrese, è entrato nel
booking del Circoloco. Picone tra una grappa
e l’altra produce dischi per la Cadenza di
Luciano. Idriss D paladino della nuova techno
italiana con la sua memento.
L’Italia che conta è tutta al Cocoricò.
Maurizi, from club Cassero in Bologna,
has been the first italian ever to be produced
by Minus. Mass Prod, after his project with
Kalabrese, became part of the Circoloco
booking. Picone, while drinking grappa, he
produces records for Luciano’s Cadenza.
Idriss D has been working with Danilo
Vigorito.

“house” Ilario Alicante. Se pensate che la
deep house sia tutta uguale, evidentemente
non l’avete mai ballata in Piramide,
evidentemente non l’avete mai sentita mixata
da Ilario, perché la sua è sexy e funk quanto
ipnotica. Come le sue produzioni - “Samba”,
bomba! In Titilla Andreino Arcangeli, uno
che ha fatto la storia dell’house (remember
M.A.S. Collective?).

think that the deep house sounds are
everywhere the same it might be because you
have never danced it in the Piramide, and
you have never listened it played by a Ilario
all night long, because its deep, it is sexy and

Le madri dicono che entro i trent’anni
bisogna mettere la testa a posto. Poi vedi
papà Sven Vath, uno che nel 2011 sta
festeggiando trent’anni. Non di età, ma di
carriera: dietro, davanti e soprattutto sopra la
consolle. Techno, house, funk, poco importa:
è una storia che contiene tutta l’energia
dell’universo (Coccoon), tra dischi che manco
si ricorda di aver prodotto (“Electrica Salsa”)
e tutti gli eccessi del mondo. Immortali non
si nasce, si divenata: capito, mamma?
Mothers always say that before your 30s
you should settle down. But then you see
daddy Sven Vath, celebrating his 30s. And
no, it’s his age: it’s his career’s numbers:
behind, in front, but especially on top of
the digital console. Techno, house, funk, it
doesn’t matter: it’s a music career history
that contains all the energy of the universe
(Cocoon), amongst hits he can’t even
remember he produced (“Electrica Salsa”)
and all the world’s excesses. We weren’t born
immortal, it’s true, but we can become it: I’ve
got to tell my mum.
Se Chris Liebing, con il suo simpatico
sorrisone, è uno che gioca con i suoni della
minimal techno, Adam Beyer, con il suo fare
di svedese algido, è uno che preferisce la
precisione e la pulizia del sound. Insieme non
hanno intenzione di placare i loro impulsi,
anzi: con un’ondata di bpm faranno tornare
a galla il vostro istinto techno che tenete
nell’armadio da troppo tempo.
If Chris Liebing, with his big friendly
smile, is the man playing with minimal
techno sounds, Adam Beyer, on the other
hand, with his cold and Swedish behavior,
selects refine and clear sounds. These two
together, they are not interested in soothe
their appetites: bombarding you with their
bps, they will refresh your deeper techno
instincts, even if for too long forgotten.

Non avremmo il singolone da ascoltare alla
radio, la pettinatura da imitare, la t-shirt da
cercare in viale Ceccarini. Potrei rinunciare
anche alle piade della Quinta, ma a David e
alla sua house pop e raffinata al tempo stesso
mai, altrimenti non è estate. Aspettando
il nuovo tormentone che mi faccia F***,
possibilmente in Piramide, vado a mettermi
un po’ di gel.
Which kind of summer it would be
without David Guetta? No super single on
the radio, no hair style to knock off or T-shirt
to be looking for in Viale Ceccarini. I could
even do without the piadine of the “Quinta”,
but I’d never do without David and his pop
but yet sophisticated house, I couldn’t call

sembrare vere. Come quella di Loco Dice
(Desolat): lo chiamano così perché qualche
anno fa non ne voleva sapere di venir giù
dal tetto dello Space. Da quel giorno non è
più sceso, non gli è più scesa: la sua minimal
house è una marcetta sempre in crescendo,
disco dopo disco. Questa sera guardate in
alto: Loco è in cima alla Piramide. Ma non
chiamatelo “Locòdice”, altrimenti viene giù
a menarvi.
Some stories sound so strange to
become almost true. Such as the ones of
Loco Dice (Desolat): he’s named this way
because some years ago he didn’t want to get
down from the Space roof. From that day
onwards he has never got off, it has never
gone down: his minimal house is getting
better, record after record. Tonight look up:
Loco is on top of the Piramide. But make
sure you won’t call him “Locòdice” if you
don’t want him to get off and bash you up!

Era la “Age of Love” della la trance e
della techno. Andavamo a ballare con gli
occhialoni, i vestiti fluo e lo star light in
bocca (ma quello c’è chi lo usa ancora oggi).
Entravamo in una realtà parallela detta
“Outside World” e si era un po’ “Slave to
the Rave”, ballavamo tanto trasportati dalla
musica quanto dai suoi effetti psicoattivi.
All’alba, “Lost in Love”, speravamo di
rincontrarci somewhere “Over the Rainbow”,
oppure ancora al Co-Co-Ri-Cò.
It was the trance and techno “Age of
Love”. We used to go dancing with big
sunnies, fluo dresses, and the star lights in
our mouth (and there’s still someone using
it today). We entered a parallel reality called
“Outside World”, and we were a bit “Slave to
the Rave”, letting us go with the music and
hispsico-active effects. At the dawn, listening
to “Lost in Love”, we promised to catch up
again somewhere “Over the Rainbow”, or
again at Co-Co-Ri-Cò.
Il Fabric 49 di Magda inizia con un
omaggio all’Italia: “Ai Margini della Follia” è
un pezzo dei Goblin, storica band dark-waverock-progressive degli anni 70, usato anche
come soundtrack del film “Zombi”. L’ultimo
album della DJ, “From the Fallen Page”, si
apre con “Get Down Goblin”. Tutto torna: i
suoni scuri, i bassi profondi, i synth ipnotici,
noi zombi in preda alla follia, domati solo
dalla sexy minimal di Magda.
The Fabric 49 of Magda opens with a
tribute to Italy: “Ai Margini della Follia”
is a track by Goblin, historic dark-waverock-progressive band of the 70’s, used as
soundtrack of the movie “Zombi” as well.
Her new album, “From the Fallen Page”
opens with the track “Get Down Goblin”.
It’s all square then: dark sounds, deep low
beats, synth hypnothics, and us, a crowd of
zombies raving and brought under control
only by the sexy minimal music by Magda.

Vi siete mai fatti toccare da un
gigante? La delicatezza delle sue mani
è sorprendente. La stessa che usa Carl
Cox quando mixa con tre giradischi,
moltiplicata per più di trent’anni di
carriera tra techno, house e funk. Ma non
pensiate sia qui per farci il solletico: quello
al massimo lo farà a Tini, la DJ di Monaco
che aprirà la serata tra minimal e techno.
Al Titilla Ralf dà sempre il meglio: non
stavamo parlando di giganti della consolle?
Have you ever let a giant touch you?
It’s incredible how gently their hands can
be. The same delicate movements are
used by Carl Cox when he spins his three
turntables, after more than 30 years of
techno, house and funk career. But don’t
think he’s here to tickle us with his hands:
he might think about doing it to Tini, the
“Miss” DJ from Monaco that will open
the night, between minimal and techno.
When he’s at Titilla Ralf always performes
at his best: weren’t we talking about the
giants of the turntable?
Quando la naja era obbligatoria,
parecchie generazioni sono cresciute al
grido di “passo, cadenza”. Ora basta dire
Cadenza per far brillare gli occhi a un’intera
generazione di clubber: è l’etichetta di
Luciano, il generale dei nostri giorni, uno che
non si piega neanche dopo 8 ore di DJ set
condito da uno shot di vodka ogni tre dischi.
Luciano è l’house che è tornata all’attacco
dopo anni di trincea. Ai suoi fianchi il
colonnello Reboot e il sergente Picone:
bombe a mano e mitragliatrici. Portate le
munizioni.
When the military service was compulsary,
many generations has been marked with the
scream “passo, cadenza” (pace, cadence).
Today we are sure a generation of clubber
will be thrilled to hear Cadenza’s name:
Luciano’s label, the General of our days, a
man that stands even after an 8-hour-dj-set
and a shot of vodka every third record.
Luciano is the house coming back to fight
after years of trench. With him the Colonel
Reboot and the Sergeant Picone: hand
grenade and machine guns. Make sure you
have the munitions with you.

Oltre a essere un bravo DJ, Seth è
anche un gran festaiolo. Spesso lo trovi
in pista a ballare e raramente rinuncia a
farsi gli after. È amico di Bill, del quale ha
scritto la biografia su Resident Advisor,
dove dice che da New York si è trasferito
a Berlino perché era fuori di testa e
soprattutto per sfidare l’istinto sessuale
europeo. Mass Prod è il terzo squilibrato e
stanotte, con la loro new melodic techno,
vorremmo che la festa non finisse mai.
Seth is not only a great DJ, but a
party animal. It’s easy to meet him on
the dancefloor and rarely he declines an
invitation to an after party. He’s friend
of Bill: in fact he wrote his biography on
Resident Advisor, where he tells that he
left NY to move to Berlin because he
was out of his mind and he wanted to
challenge the european sexual instinct.
Mass Prod is the third of the insanes
on the list tonight and, with their new
melodic techno, we wish the party will
never end.
Per la quantità di parole che sono state
dette su Sven Vath si potrebbe scrivere un
nuovo testo sacro. Non ci sono altri libri
per descrivere la potenza sovrumana dello
zio Sven e di quanto riesca a farsi osannare
dalle folle. L’immortalità a cui abbiamo
fatto riferimento qualche pagina fa è tipica
delle entità divine: il DJ tedesco per il
closing party sarà il nostro Dio.
So many things have been said and
written about Sven Vath that we could
probably write a sacred text on his honour.
It’s a hard task writing about the super
human power of uncle Sven and how he’s
acclaimed by crowd of clubbers. Without
any doubt the German DJ will be our God
for this closing party!

After three years Diabolika has
changed a lot the style of his music,
but still wants to be close to the original
concept. The party must be incredibly
massive and thick where the protagonists
are like gurus trained to rule over the
masses. It’s definitely a big movement and
is ready to get bigger and better.

Qui non si parla di correnti letterarie
o di fantascienza. Abbiamo a che fare con
schitarrate e poghi punk, uniti a cassa dritta,
bass line sincopate e metanfetamine. I due
ragazzacci mascherati che smanetteranno in
consolle sono reduci dal “Fuck the System
ep World Tour”. E se nell’omonimo video
distruzione, sangue e morte sono frutto del
web, il delirio che creano in pista è tutt’altro
che finto.
We are not talking about literary or science
fiction trends. We are talking about guitars
solos and pogo sticks, all together with bass
lines, syncopated and amphetaminic. The
two bad boys that will spin tonight for you
just got back from the “Fuck the System ep
World Tour”. And if in the homonymous
video, destruction, blood and death are only
a web creation, wait to see how the two DJs
will manage to transform the dancefloor.
La questione non è incentrata sul fatto
che vi piaccia o meno la trance. Il problema
è che siate pronti oppure no a un’esperienza
totalizzante: chiudete gli occhi, abbandonate
gli stereotipi e fatevi prendere per mano
dalla prog trance in levare di Paul Van Dyk,
uno dei pochi DJ che possono fregiarsi del
titolo di “rockstar”. Allora, avete deciso?
L’unica controindicazione è che indietro non
si torna.

for such an experience or not: close your
eyes, clear your mind from the stereotypes’
ideas and let the beat take you: with his
upbeat prog trance, Paul Van Dyk is one

500 del suo radio show “A State of Trance”
e anche stasera ricadremo in uno stato di
trance. Dello scorso anno ricordo il laser che
accarezzava le nostre teste mentre Armin
suonava “Communication”, e un’olandese che
mi prese per mano. Ballammo e ci baciammo
per tutta la notte. All’alba sulle note di
“Burned with Desire” stavamo sfogando le
nostre passioni sui divanetti.

Skrillex ha 22 anni: dopo esser stato
frontman dei From First to Last, lascia il
mondo rock-hardcore, nota che nel dance
floor c’è più figa che ai concerti e si piglia
bene per l’electro grassa. Con l’aria di un emo
dal fare schizofrenico, a Milano ha ribaltato
l’Amnesia con fidget e wonkie-step. Stasera
si prevedono tante groupie moleste da
soddisfare e lo stesso delirio.
Skrillex is 22 yo, after being the frontman
of ‘From First to Last’, leaves the rockhardcore world, populated of hot chicks
dancing on the dancefloors, and decides
to go for the heavy electro. With his emoschizoid behavior, he drove the Amnesia
crowd of Milan totally mad with his fidget
and wonkie-step. Tonight we expect a lot of
groupies to come: it will be a ball!
Afrojack sempre in bilico tra l’olanda e il
suono tagliente dell’elettro americana si è in
breve tempo ricavato un posto d’eccellenza
nel panorama internazionale. Il suo stile
è riuscito ad aprire molte strade e molte

papà Sven Vath, uno che nel 2011 sta
festeggiando trent’anni. Non di età, ma di
carriera: dietro, davanti e soprattutto sopra la
consolle. Techno, house, funk, poco importa:
è una storia che contiene tutta l’energia
dell’universo (Coccoon), tra dischi che manco
si ricorda di aver prodotto (“Electrica Salsa”)
e tutti gli eccessi del mondo. Immortali non
si nasce, si divenata: capito, mamma?
Mothers always say that before your 30s
you should settle down. But then you see
daddy Sven Vath, celebrating his 30s. And
no, it’s his age: it’s his career’s numbers:
behind, in front, but especially on top of
the digital console. Techno, house, funk, it
doesn’t matter: it’s a music career history
that contains all the energy of the universe
(Cocoon), amongst hits he can’t even
remember he produced (“Electrica Salsa”)
and all the world’s excesses. We weren’t born
immortal, it’s true, but we can become it:

DJ-wannabe Magda Gomez’s ass and all the
rest moving: he deserves all my respect just
for this.

Hawtin & Craig: un’insolita accoppiata
che ha alle spalle un’unica città e un unico
suono, Detroit. Due modi di interpretare
l’house, la minimal e la techno: quello
preciso, digitale e avanguardista di Richie e
quello più caldo, sporco, istintivo e analogico
di Carl. Il primo è uno smanettone dei
software, il secondo è uno che collabora
con pianisti e orchestre. Due faraoni sotto
un’unica piramide.
Hawtin & Craig: a weird couple that shares
not only the sound, but the city, Detroit. Two
different ways of interpreting house, minimal
and techno: the precise, digital and cutting
edge way of Richie, and the dirty, instinctive,
analogic and warm way of Carl. The first one
is a softwares’ nerd, the second plays with
musicians and orchestras. Two pharaoes
under one Pyramid.

Villa Titilla è una combinazione vincente
che negli anni ha regalato al pubblico della
riviera un format tutto particolare: i DJ del
Titilla (il più famoso privé italiano) diventano
party makers nella graziosa cornice della
Villa delle Rose. Un rito magico che si ripete
ogni martedì estivo, lo stregone è Ralf e con
lui a rimescolar pozioni Ricky Montanari,
Claudio Coccoluto e Andrea Arcangeli.
Dopo il successo dell'anno scorso (ricordo
le croccanti albe alcooliche) quest'anno è
vietato mancare.

Villa Titilla is a winning combination
of many elements that in the past years
reached a very attractive party fomat: the
Titilla DJs (italian best privé party) become
party makers inside the nice environment
of Villa delle Rose open air club. A magic
ritual that takes place every tuesday, DJ
Ralf is the wizard and Ricky Montanari,
Claudio Coccoluto and Andrea Arcangeli
on his side making magic potions. After last
years success (remember the crazy alcoholic
sunrises) is now a must for everybody.

Il progetto Religion, che ha visto
protagonisti i DJ della piramide lungo tutto
l’inverno 2010/2011, va in villeggiatura e si
sposta nella piu fresca e adatta cornice del
Prince. Un luogo dove rigenerare gli animi
ed elevare lo spirito.
The project called Religion, with the
resident DJs of the piramidal room at
Cocoricò, was one of the success of the
past winter 2010/2011 for the club. For the
summer season it will move to the fresher
location of Prince club. A place for your soul
and your spirit.
