This is the concept behind the
14th edition of the “Semper
Music International Festival”,
a meeting point for music
students and renowned music
pedagogues from all over
the world.
Ganz in diesem Sinne
wird das „Semper Music
International Festival“
auch in seiner 14. Auf­lage
zum Treffpunkt von Musik­
studenten und namhaften
Musikpädagogen aus aller
Welt.
Proprio con questo intento il
„Semper Music International
Festival“ diventa, anche in
questa 14esima edizione, occasione di incontro tra studenti e
rinomati insegnanti di musica
provenienti da tutti il mondo.
The idea behind the conception of this festival, held
at the foot of the Schlern,
was cultural exchange, the
promotion of young talent as
well as bringing people closer
to classical music. The closeness to the Schlern area and
the excitement provided by
the extraordinary events and
concerts soon added to the
beauty of the festival. Not to
mention the many new friendships between the organisers
and locals.
We wish all participants many
pleasant days in our province,
with enriching experiences and
successful performances. We
hope the Festival is a success,
and we wish all the best to the
organising team, and to the
audience a good, harmonious
musical time.
Kultureller Austausch, die
Förderung junger Talente sowie
die Annäherung an die klassische Musik standen am Beginn
der Idee für dieses Festival zu
Füßen des Schlern. Längst haben
sich auch die Verbundenheit
zum Schlerngebiet und die
Begeisterung für die außerordentliche Kulisse der Konzerte dem
beigefügt. Viele Freundschaften
sind entstanden – zwischen den
Teilnehmern selbst und mit den
Menschen vor Ort.

Inizialmente il festival puntava
agli scambi culturali, al sostegno dei giovani talenti ed
all’avvicinamento alla musica
classica. Ben presto si sono
aggiunti agli obiettivi l’unione
con il comprensorio dello Sciliar
e l’entusiasmo per lo straordinario scenario che fa da sfondo
ai concerti. Sono nate diverse
amicizie – tra i partecipanti
ma anche con le persone del
luogo.
Auguriamo a tutti i partecipanti
un’esperienza indimenticabile, esibizioni di successo e
piacevoli giornate in giro per
la nostra provincia. Al festival
stesso ed alle sue entusiaste
organizzatrici ed organizzatori

Think on musicians traveling
from different city-states to
perform at the Olympic Games
in Ancient Greece; think on
traveling medieval minstrels;
on Handel touring Italian cities and going to England
to baroque time; on Mozart
child touring Europe with his
father; on Chopin, Liszt, Clara
Schumann – virtuosi of the
Romantic era performing in
different countries. Yes, you
have to think on all of them
when you come to Voels am
Schlern every year in July,
meet our diverse international
festival community, listen to the
concerts and understand that
every member of it traveled a
long way from another country.
What about our audience? Yes,
they have traveled too. What
is the motivation of all these
people to travel, to gather, to
communicate, to connect?
Gelänge es uns, Politiker verschiedener Länder 20 Tage lang an
einem Ort bei Brahms, Tchaikovsky
und Gershwin zusammenzubringen,
wären sie am Ende sicher toleranter
und freundlicher zueinander.
Se riuscissimo a riunire i politici
di differenti Paesi in un’unica
località con Brahms, Tchaikovsky
e Gershwin in sottofondo, dopo
20 giorni sarebbero sicuramente
più tolleranti e amichevoli.
Auch bei unserem Festival treffen
Menschen aus aller Welt, aus
verschiedenen Kulturen und mit
unterschiedlichem sozialen und politischen Hintergrund sowie anderer
Sprache zusammen. Sie alle vereint
vor allem der Wunsch, friedlich in
unserer Welt zu leben.
Il nostro festival è un’occasione
d’incontro per persone provenienti da tutto il mondo, appartenenti a culture e lingue differenti e con background sociali e
politici diversi, ma accomunate
soprattutto dal desiderio di vivere
in pace sulla Terra.
Es ist wichtig, Freundschaften zu
knüpfen und Verständnis füreinander zu wecken, und genau dies
sind auch die Grundpfeiler unseres
Festivals: Musik, Freundschaft und
Verständnis füreinander.
