Federico Luger is pleased to present Waiting For The Unknown, the first solo show in Italy by
Hungarian artist Attila Szücs. The exhibition features a selection of new paintings, oil on canvas, realized in the past two years. Women, children, family subjects are captured in key moments, images able to convey an extraordinary emotional charge. A fascinating dialog between
dreams and memories. Attila Szűcs was born in Miskolc, Hungary and currently lives and works in Budapest. He is one
of the leading painters of his generation in Hungary. His work has been shown in numerous
solo and group exhibitions (KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin; Ludwig Museum, Budapest; Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin; Tylers Museum, Haarlem, The Netherlands). His works
are also held in permanent collections such as Neue Galerie am Landesmuseum Joanneum in
Graz (Austria), Hungarian National Gallery, Ludwig Museum in Budapest, Frissiras Museum in
Athens. He is currently included in the group exhibition The Nude in London’s S/2 Gallery. He is
preparing a solo show at the Ludwing Museum in Budapest for 2016.

Federico Luger è lieto di presentare Waiting For The Unknown, la prima personale italiana
dell’artista ungherese Attila Szücs. Si tratta di dipinti, olio su tela, selezionati dalla produzione
degli ultimi due anni. Scene familiari in cui i protagonisti sono catturati in momenti per loro
cruciali. Immagini a forte carica emotiva e un affascinante dialogo tra sogni e ricordi.
Attila Szűcs é nato a Miskolc, Ungheria, vive e lavora a Budapest. E’ uno dei più importanti
pittori ungheresi della sua generazione. Il suo lavoro è stato esposto in diverse personali e
collettive (KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlino; Ludwig Museum, Budapest; Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlino; Tylers Museum, Haarlem, Olanda). Fa parte di collezioni quali la Neue
Galerie presso il Landesmuseum Joanneum di Graz (Austria), la Hungarian National Gallery, il
Ludwig Museum di Budapest, il Frissiras Museum di Atene. Attualmente è esposto nella collettiva The Nude presso la S/2 Gallery di Londra. Sta preparando una personale al Ludwig Museum
di Budapest per il 2016.
