STARLIKE®

un eccellente collante di classe R2T e,
con l’aggiunta dell’additivo Decor, un
innovativo rasante decorativo per pareti.

permette di realizzare con facilità delle
superfici rasate con una finitura identica
a quella utilizzata per stuccare le fughe
tra le piastrelle o le tessere del mosaico.
Questa caratteristica esclusiva consente

basate sulla continuità tra superfici
piastrellate o in mosaico e le pareti
circostanti.
Starlike® nella versione Decor è anche
una valida alternativa al tradizionale
rivestimento ceramico.

fortuna come sigillante per fughe.
Antimacchia e idrorepellente, previene
la proliferazione di funghi e muffe,
ottima resistenza agli acidi e aggressivi

con Decor Primer Fondo, una pasta

Before applying Decor Starlike®,
the substrates should be treated
with Decor Primer Fondo, a twocomponent paste to level absorbent
(such as civil plaster or plasterboard)
and non-absorbent (old tiled surfaces)
substrates.
Starlike® in the Decor version is

collections, to which the additives
with glitter - Spotlight and Gold can be added for up to 72 different

Decor Starlike® is recommended for renovations in residential and commercial environments and as an alternative to removing
and replacing old tiled substrates.
Applying the Decor Primer Fondo in advance on top of old tiled finishes will obtain a smooth and even surface on which you
can easily level with Starlike® in the Decor version.
It is therefore possible to completely transform the look of a bathroom or a kitchen with no expensive and troubling demolition
and disposal issues.

The Litokol stencil project:
StenDecor
StenDecor è uno stencil progettato appositamente
da Litokol per decorare ambienti interni già rasati con
Starlike®Decor (Starlike® + additivo Decor), il sigillante
che diventa rasante decorativo e rende possibile rivestire
le pareti con lo stesso materiale e lo stesso colore della
stuccatura.
Con gli stencil StenDecor si ottengono decorazioni a rilievo
e materiche, che s’ispirano alla tecnica degli stucchi nel
solco della tradizione decorativa d’interni tipicamente
italiana. Si trovano infatti esempi di ciò che è definito stucco
plastico nei palazzi imperiali dell’antica Roma e negli edifici
termali a Pompei.
StenDecor is a stencil specifically designed by Litokol
for decorating interior environments already levelled with
Starlike®Decor (Starlike® + Decor additive), the sealant
which becomes a decorative levelling layer and makes it
possible to clad walls with the same material and the same
colour as the grout.
With StenDecor stencils, you get relief and textured
designs, which are inspired by the stucco technique
used in the typically Italian interior decorating tradition.
Examples of what is defined as plastic plaster are found
in the imperial palaces of antique Rome and in the thermal
baths in Pompei.

Alla base della realizzazione di questa nuova linea di stencil
di Litokol c’è stata un’approfondita ricerca sul materiale
plastico migliore, portata avanti insieme al FabLab
di Reggio Emilia e a fornitori specializzati, che hanno
permesso l’individuazione di soluzioni semplici all’uso per
gli applicatori e che allo stesso tempo potessero esaltare
la matericità tipica di Starlike®.
Il risultato è di aver trovato due materiali diversi da utilizzare
in modo specifico in base allo spessore scelto, per sfruttare
al meglio la particolare consistenza del rasante Decor non
comparabile con l’idropittura.
Il frutto di questa ricerca sono fogli di StenDecor
indeformabili e resistenti, lavabili con acqua e riutilizzabili
infinite volte, sempre perfettamente planari.

At the base of the implementation of this new line of
Litokol stencils is an in-depth research on the best plastic
material. This research was conducted with FabLab of
Reggio Emilia and specialised suppliers, allowing us to
identify easy-to-use solutions for applicators which also
enhance the typical Starlike® texture.
The result was finding two different materials to be used
specifically based on the chosen thickness, in order
to fully exploit the particular consistency of the Decor
levelling layer which cannot be compared with water
paint.
This research led to StenDecor sheets, resilient and
resistant, water-washable and reusable many times,
always perfectly flat.

Selections for the whole house
StenDecor è stato pensato per decorare in modo creativo
e personale ogni ambiente della casa: bagno, cucina, zona
giorno e notte.
Sono disponibili sette collezioni diverse composte ognuna
da un bordo (formato 42x15 cm) con tre decori singoli
(21x15 cm) spessore 1 mm e tre decori singoli (21x15 cm)
spessore 0,20 mm.
I soggetti sono: Bicchieri, Pentole e Frutta per l’ambiente
cucina, Conchiglie e Foglie per il bagno o zona living e
Appendini per la zona notte.
La collezione Animali pensata per la cameretta bimbo è
invece composta da 4 decori singoli in due formati (21x15
cm e 29,7x21 cm) solo in spessore 1 mm.
StenDecor was designed to decorate every home
environment creatively and personally: bathroom, kitchen,
living area and bedrooms.
It is available in seven different collections, each consisting
of a border (size 42x15 cm) with three individual 1 mm
thick decorations (21x15 cm) and three individual 0.20 mm
thick decorations (21x15 cm).

version on surfaces already levelled with Starlike®
Decor.
On request, customised stencils can also be made.

Per arredare e decorare una casa, un albergo o un edificio
commerciale si ha spesso bisogno di fonti d’ispirazione per poter
attingere idee e creare un proprio stile. Nelle prossime pagine
abbiamo voluto darvi un’idea attraverso degli inspiration board
(tavole visive) di come questi strumenti possano essere d’aiuto
per creare abbinamenti di colori e di materiali nella definizione
delle caratteristiche estetiche di un progetto. La decorazione di un
ambiente passa anche attraverso fughe colorate o pareti rasate

stesse tonalità, profili Genesis abbinati, fino ad arrivare ai decori

To furnish and decorate a home, a hotel or a commercial building
you often need sources of inspiration to draw ideas and create

modalità progettuale. Starlike® Colour System rende infatti possibile l’abbinamento con profili e sigillanti siliconici coordinati con

Starlike® Colour System
Decor Starlike® is a new decorative concept based on the chromatic continuity between levelled substrates and tiled surfaces
with joints of the same colour. It is therefore, a way of designing surfaces and improving laid materials where colour variation
is an essential element that involves the home environments. Starlike® Colour System is the completion of this new design
mode. In fact, Starlike® Colour System makes it possible to match with profiles and coordinated silicone sealants with the same
colours of the Starlike® range. Therefore, it is a powerful tool in the hands of designers and decorators and a valuable ally for
customised colour combination solutions.

Night Vision
Alle 72 finiture disponibili di Starlike® Decor è possibile
aggiungere l’additivo fotoluminescente Night Vision.
L’aggiunta di Night Vision all’impasto colorato di
Starlike® non ne altera la colorazione e il suo effetto
lo si apprezza di notte o in assenza di fonte luminosa.
Al buio infatti le pareti prendono vita con emozionanti
effetti decorativi che si illuminano nell’oscurità, dopo
essersi “caricati” di luce solare o artificiale.
L’intensità del rilascio fotoluminescente varia in base al
colore al quale è stato aggiunto Night Vision, rendendo
ancora più decorativo l’effetto luminoso.
Per apprezzare appieno questo effetto, consigliamo
l’applicazione solo in ambienti interni; l’effetto è
ulteriormente accentuato in vicinanza di una fonte di
luce artificiale.
The additive photoluminescent Night Vision can be
added to the 72 Decor Starlike® finishes available.
Adding Night Vision to the colourful Starlike® mixture
does not alter its colour and its effect is appreciated at
night or in the absence of light sources.
In fact, when darkness falls, the walls come to life with
exciting decorative effects that light up in the dark, after
having “loaded” with sunlight or the artificial light.
The intensity of the photoluminescence emission varies
according to the colour to which the Night Vision is
added, thereby making the lighting effect even more
decorative.
We recommend applying this only indoors to fully
appreciate its effect, which is further enhanced near a
source of artificial light.

Texture
Il risultato estetico di una superficie decorata con Starlike® Decor dipende da molti fattori, non ultimo l’esperienza e la fantasia
del progettista o dell’applicatore stesso, che potrà fornire validi suggerimenti al committente.
In funzione dello stile dell’ambiente di destinazione, è possibile scegliere tra una finitura finale liscia o strutturata.
La finitura liscia consente di ottenere, attraverso l’applicazione in successione di almeno tre mani rasate “a zero”, l’effetto
coprente, cioè una superficie cromaticamente omogenea e compatta eventualmente arricchita con le finiture Spotlight o Gold.
Con due mani si ottiene invece la finitura nuvolata, una superficie marezzata non omogenea con un’alternanza di zone chiare
ad altre leggermente più scure.
Applicando invece “a fresco” sulla seconda mano di Starlike® Decor non asciutta, un’altra tonalità leggermente contrastante,
si ottiene un effetto simile allo stucco veneziano (simulando un effetto a rilievo su una superficie liscia). La finitura strutturata
o “spatolata” si ottiene con un’applicazione di uno strato più consistente di Starlike® Decor (1/2 mm) già nella prima mano.

The aesthetic result of a surface decorated with Decor Starlike® depends on many factors, including the experience
and imagination of the designer or the applicator, who can provide valuable suggestions to the customer.
You can choose between a smooth or textured final finish depending on the style of the destination environment.
A smooth finish allows for a covering effect by subsequent application of at least 3 coats levelled to “zero”, that is, a
substrate that is coloured evenly and in a compact manner, possibly enriched with Spotlight or Gold finishes.
On the other hand, two coats will result in a cloudy effect, an uneven speckled surface with alternating light and slightly
darker areas.
Another slightly contrasting colour is achieved when applied “wet” on the second coat of Decor Starlike ® before it
dries, which results in an effect that is similar to Venetian plaster (simulating an embossed effect on a smooth surface).
The textured or “spatula” finish is obtained by applying a thicker layer of Decor Starlike® (1/2 mm) in the first coat.

Primer C
Primer consolidante e isolante in dispersione acquosa. Uso interno. Sottofondi
assorbenti tipo intonaci cementizi grezzi, calcestruzzo, pannelli in cartongesso o
pannelli alleggeriti devono essere trattati con PRIMER C. Pitture o vernici preesistenti
compresa la finitura sottostante, finiture superficiali a base calce, cemento o gesso
applicate a basso spessore andranno rimosse e il sottofondo trattato con Primer C.
Primer C
Consolidating and insulating primer in aqueous dispersion. Indoor use. For the
preparation of rough cementitious substrates, plasterboard or lightweight panels
apply “Primer C” on the surface by brush or roller in order to consolidate the
substrate. Any paint or varnish must be removed and the surface treated with “Primer
C”. For the preparation of existing ceramic tiles or mosaics just degrease the surface.
