During these meetings, the environmental analysis of the projects submitted to Screening and EIA were presented to the advisory committee, which decided about the environmental compatibility of the projects. Technical advice in environmental matters 2010-2012 Scientific expert The National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics – OGS - Sgonico (TS) - Italy Research activities in the field of the CO2 geological storage (CCS): ▪ OGS scientific responsible for two FP7 European research projects (CGSEurope, ECCSEL) and for the study commissioned by the Italian Ministry of Environment of the potential risks and environmental impacts both on the terrestrial and the marine environment associated with CO2 geological storage. ▪ Collaboration with other European projects (CO2GeoNet, RISCS, SiteChar, CO2CARE) concerning the CO2 geological storage (CCS) and in the Secretariat of the European Association CO2GeoNet. ▪ OGS representative in the working group “Communication” at the Italian Ministry of Economic Development for the drafting of the implementation regulations of the Legislative Decree n. 162 of 14/09/2011 on the geological storage of CO2.
