Definito da Slow Food tra i migliori della sua tipologia, con rese inferiori ai 50 hl per ettaro, è un bianco molto concentrato con tenore alcolico importante e dalla notevole longevità. Al naso si apre con gradevoli note balsamiche di basilico e floreali di camomilla e melo. Continua con toni agrumati, in particolare di pompelmo rosa e cedro, per virare verso la frutta gialla, come la pesca settembrina, che diventa in genere più evidente dopo 12-18 mesi di bottiglia. Al gusto si presenta molto minerale con un delicato tocco di sapidità tipica del vitigno. La bocca, percorsa da una vena acida, conferma le sensazioni olfattive amalgamandole con caratteri più esotici come il mango. ENG • The Pecorino Superiore is one of the most characteristic expressions of Fontefico. Described by Slow Food among the best of its kind, with yields below 50 hl per hectare, is a white highly concentrated with a remarkable lifespan and alcohol content. The nose opens with pleasant notes of basil, chamomile flowers and apple trees. It continues with tones of citrus fruit, especially grapefruit and cedar, to turn to the yellow fruits, which typically becomes more evident after 12-18 months of bottle. The taste is very minerally with a delicate touch of sapid flavour, typical of this grape variety. The rich-textured and soft mouth is covered by a hint of acidity in the aftertaste, confirming the nose notes and adding exotic flavours like ripe mango. VENDEMMIA – HARVEST: metà ottobre mid october CEPPI/HA – VINES/HECTAR: 1600 BOTTIGLIE PRODOTTE – PRODUCED BOTTLES: 2000 AFFINAMENTO – WINEMAKING/AGEING: 6 mesi sui lieviti, bottiglia 6 months on the lees, bottle ITA • Il Cerasuolo Superiore Fontefico proviene dalla stessa vigna del Montepulciano classico. E’ vinificato con 18 ore di permanenza delle bucce nel mosto a bassa temperatura. La fermentazione si è svolta intorno si 19°C. Ciò gli dona il colore autentico del cerasuolo abruzzese: un rosa carico con riflessi purpurei, un vero spettacolo per gli occhi. Il naso è delicato ma lascia già presagire la mineralità che svelerà in bocca. Una bocca fresca, che appaga con un gusto di ribes e lamponi. Si allontana con un retrogusto quasi balsamico e una piacevole sensazione di radice di liquirizia. Il Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo Superiore rappresenta un caposaldo della tradizione vinicola abruzzese. Non è un semplice rosato e non è un rosso. E’ un vino unico nel suo genere, che esalta al meglio una cucinain equilibrio tra sapori forti e gusti eleganti. ENG • The Fontefico Cerasuolo Superiore comes from the same vineyard of our Montepulciano label. Skin and must remain together 18 hrs at a low temperature. The fermentation was at 19°C. This gives back the authentic Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo color: a deep pink with purple shades, a real feast for your eyes. The nose is delicate but leaves already predict the minerality that will be unveiled in the mouth. Fresh and crispy, the mouth is filled with a taste of black currant and raspberries. He walks away with a balsamic aftertasteand a nice feel of licorice root. The Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is a cornerstone of the wine tradition of Abruzzo. It is not simply a rosé and not a red. It is an wine unique, which well matches a cuisine in balance between strong flavors and elegant taste. MONTEPULCIANO D’ABRUZZO ANNATA – VINTAGE: 2010 VIGNETO – VINEYARD: Vigne del pozzo UVE – GRAPE VARIETY: Montepulciano D’Abruzzo ALCOL – ALCOHOL: 14,00% vol. VENDEMMIA – HARVEST: metà ottobre mid october CEPPI/HA – VINES/HECTAR: 1600 BOTTIGLIE PRODOTTE – PRODUCED BOTTLES: 6500 AFFINAMENTO – WINEMAKING/AGEING: acciaio (70%), legno (30%), bottiglia steel (70%), wood (30%), bottle ITA • Il Montepulciano d’Abruzzo classico è l’unico vino di Fontefico proveniente dal blend di più vigne: tre appezzamenti contigui con caratteristiche diverse e complementari per ottenere la giusta combinazione tra frutto, spezia e acidità. L’affinamento prevede sia l’acciaio (70%) sia il legno (30%) oltre a 12 mesi di bottiglia. Alle leggere note resinose seguono quelle di piccoli fiori e di frutta rossa, come ciliegia e mora, che riempiono le narici di sensazioni dolci e delicate. In bocca, l’attacco è morbido per rivelare presto elevata e piacevole freschezza. Oltre al frutto polposo, il Montepulciano Classico si distingue per la spezia fine di pepe nero, liquirizia e caffè tostato. La morbidezza e il tannino levigato lo rendono ideale per ogni tipo di palato. ENG • The Fontefico Montepulciano D’Abruzzo is the only wine from a blend of more than one vineyard: three contiguous and complementary soils with different characteristics to get the best combination of fruit, spice and acidity. The ageing includes both the steel (70%) and the wood (30%), over 12 months in the bottle. The slight resinous notes are followed by small flowers and red fruits, such as cherry and blackberry, which fill the nostrils of sweet and delicate sensations. In the mouth, the attack is soft but it early reveals high and pleasant freshness. In addition to the ripe fruit, the Montepulciano D’Abruzzo finishes with spices like black pepper spice, liquorice and roasted coffee. The supple tannins make it very pleasant and enjoyable to any palate. COSTETOSTE AGLIANICO: ANNATA – VINTAGE: 2010 VIGNETO – VINEYARD: Vigna Le Coste UVE – GRAPE VARIETY: Aglianico ALCOL – ALCOHOL: 15,00% vol. VENDEMMIA – HARVEST: fine ottobre late october CEPPI/HA – VINES/HECTAR: assume peculiarità inedite: balsamico con toni di rosmarino e lavanda, speziato con essenze di tabacco bagnato, carruba, chiodi di garofano. Il frutto è molto maturo, più vicino alla sensazione di confettura, ricorda chiaramente la prugna e persistenza mentre il tannino è quasi violento, evocando in bocca la sensazione di cacao amaro. Di certo, un gusto più unico che raro. 4000 ENG • The Costetoste Aglianico is the selection from the vineyard “Le Coste”, which in local dialect 1900 to the South, this vineyard stands for its extreme agronomic conditions. And extreme it is the wine which comes from it, muscled and uncompromising. BOTTIGLIE PRODOTTE – PRODUCED BOTTLES: AFFINAMENTO – WINEMAKING/AGEING: legno 24 mesi, bottiglia 12 mesi wood 24 months, bottle 12 months ALTRO – MORE ABOUT IT: ITA • Il Costetoste Aglianico è la selezione proveniente dal vigneto “Le Coste”, con cui in dialetto si indica un terreno arduo e scosceso: completamente esposto a Sud, questa vigna impone condizioni agronomiche estreme. Ne viene fuori un vino altrettanto estremo, muscoloso e senza compromessi. Aglianico is not typical for Abruzzo but in features: balsamic with hints of rosemary and lavender, spiced with essences of wet tobacco, carob, cloves. The fruit is very ripe, closer to the jam aftertaste. The tannins are quite “violent” and in the mouth evokes the taste of bitter cocoa. Certainly, a taste quite unique. TITINGE RISERVA: ITA • Il Titinge Riserva, la prima delle due selezioni in purezza dal nostro vigneto più antico, allevato a ANNATA – VINTAGE: 2010 VIGNETO – VINEYARD: Vigna il Pàstino UVE – GRAPE VARIETY: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo ALCOL – ALCOHOL: 14,50% vol. VENDEMMIA – HARVEST: in barrique e altri 12 in bottiglia. Prende il nome dall’eccezionale intensità colorante elargita dal vigneto da cui proviene, il Pàstino: mediamente 60 punti colore, valore di gran lunga sopra la media. E dunque “ti tinge”. Al naso svela subito una piacevole nota fresca di eucalipto seguita dalla sensazione intensa di confettura di frutti rossi. Al gusto si presenta armonico, rivelando un tannino vellutato ed elegante, esaltato dalla sensazione retronasale di cioccolato. Si distingue per il suo carattere forte e gentile, proprio come ogni abruzzese autentico. late October CEPPI/HA – VINES/HECTAR: 1500 BOTTIGLIE PRODOTTE – PRODUCED BOTTLES: 2300 AFFINAMENTO – WINEMAKING/AGEING: legno 24 mesi, bottiglia 12 mesi wood 24 months, bottle 12 months ENG special and limited edition selections, is a 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo from the oldest aged for 24 months in oak barrels and another 12 in the bottle. Titinge is an Italian play of words to say “it does dye you”, because its exceptional color intensity bestowed by the cru vineyard “Pàstino”: around 60 colour points, far above the average. The nose reveals a pleasant hint of fresh eucalyptus followed by intense sensation of red fruit jam. The taste is harmonious, revealing a smooth and elegant tannins, enhanced by the retronasal sensation of chocolate. Titinge Riserva is both strong and gentle, right as they say about the people from Abruzzo. Let it dye your heart!
