La residenza Kolor attraverso il
programma Industrial Therapy offre
ad un artista nazionale o internazionale la possibilità di realizzare un’opera nata dalla riflessione sul contrasto che intercorre
tra la dimensione privata di oasi
per i viaggiatori ed il contesto
urbano industriale che la circonda.
Kolor B&b offers, through the AiR
program Industrial Therapy, to an
italian or foreign artist the opportunity to realize an artwork inspired by the contrast between its
characteristics of peaceful oasis
for travelers and the industrial
urban context that surrounds it.
La residenza mira alla produzione
di un murale sul prospetto esterno
del bnb che connetta queste due realtà e valorizzi artisticamente il
percorso di ingresso nella struttura.
The residency program aims to the
realization of a mural on the exterior facade of the b&B to connect
these different realities and enhanche, with an artist’s intervention the road of entrance to the
structure.
Questo è un primo passo del percorso Industrial Therapy dove la visione più ampia è creare una nuova
immagine della zona industriale,
porzione di città disconnessa dalla città stessa seppur ormai parte
integrante del tessuto urbano abitativo.
This edition of the program constitutes the first step in the industrial therapy path, the larger goal
of which is create a new concept of
Lecce’s industrial zone, a part of
the city seemigly disconnected but
more and more integral to the urban
fabric.
LA RESIDENZA
THE RESIDENCY
La residenza si svolgerà a Lecce ed
avrà durata complessiva di 7 giorni
dal 3/10/2016 al 10/10/2016 durante i quali l’artista per la realizzazione del murale avrà a disposizione:
> Alloggio e colazione presso Kolor
The residency, in Lecce, in its
entirety will last 7 days, from
03/10/2016 to 10/10/2016 during
which Kolor will offer:
> Accomodation in one of Kolor’s
rooms

> Diaria per il vitto;
> Trasporto da stazione ferroviaria
di Lecce/aereoporto di Brindisi al
bnb;
> Bicicletta per spostamenti in
città;
> Uno spazio-studio;
> Materiali per la realizzazione
dell’opera fino ad euro 500,00€;
> Un pacchetto di benvenuto con
mappe locali, guide dei trasporti
pubblici, info generali e numeri
d’emergenza;
Sono escluse:
• le spese di viaggio fino a Lecce;
• visti;
• assicurazione di viaggio;
• spese di spedizione;
• altre spese personali.
In programma sono previste una
giornata di introduzione al contesto industriale ed al territorio
di Lecce ed una serata conclusiva
di presentazione dell’opera.
Attrezzi di base saranno a disposizione, ma l’artista dovrà avere
con sè i propri strumenti di lavoro.
Richieste specifiche vanno indirizzate a [email protected]
e saranno discusse singolarmente
prima dell’assegnazione, in modo
che l’attrezzatura ed i materiali
siano disponibili dall’inizio della residenza.
> Breakfast;
> Per diem allowance for lunch and
dinner;
> Transportation between Kolor and
Lecce train station or Brindisi
airport in the days of arrival and
departure;
> A bike for local transportation;
> A studio;
> Production budget up to 500,00€;
> A welcome package with maps, public transport guides, general info
and emergency numbers;
Excluded are :
- travel expenses to Lecce;
- visas;
- health insurance;
- shipping fees;
- other personal expenses;
One day of the residency is reserved to introduction and exploration of the socio-cultural context of the region. The residency
will end with a public presentation
of the artwork at the presence of
selected guests.
Basic tools will be provided but
the selected artist is expected to
bring his own work instruments

necessary time to make tools and
materials available from the start
of the residency period.

L’opera consisterà in un murale da
sviluppare sul prospetto esterno di
Kolor che conta una superficie di
circa 60 mq visibile sia dall’asse
principale della Z.I che dalla tangenziale che attraversa dall’alto
la proprietà. Di seguito alcune immagini del luogo di intervento:
The artwork will be a mural to be
developed on a surface of almost 60
q of Kolor Facade, visible from the
Industrial zone Main Road and from
the bypass that cross the land from
above.

La residenza è aperta ad un muralista nazionale ed internazionale. Gli artisti che desiderano
dovranno
candidarsi
attraverso
l’application form allegando:
The AiR program is open to visual artists with no age and country
limitations. Applicants will have
to compile the application form attaching:
>un abstract di max 500 parole spiegando la loro idea progettuale e
le tempistiche/fasi di realizzazione dell’opera;
>One abstract in PDF format (max
500 words) detailing the proposal
with times and phases of realization;
>una o più immagini per un massimo
di 3 files JPEG includendo ciò che
si ritiene utile alla comprensione
del progetto come bozzetti, fotoricostruzioni, disegni etc;
>up to 3 Jpeg files useful to the
visualization of the proposal :
sketches, drawings, mock ups etc;
>un elenco dettagliato del materiale necessario alla realizzazione dell’opera indicando il codice
dell’eventuale prodotto ed un costo totale indicativo;

Le proposte saranno selezionate
dallo staff di Kolor bnb e da Wonderlust#rome in base all’affinità
del lavoro e della ricerca dell’artista con il tema del programma
Industrial Therapy allo scopo di
sostenere lo sviluppo di nuove pratiche nell’arte contemporanea considerando la qualità del progetto
presentato e la realizzabilità di
esso all’interno della residenza.
Proposals will be selected by Kolor and the Wonderlust#rome staff
following the affinity of the idea
and of the artist’s research with
the industrial therapy theme with
the goal of sustaining the development of new practices in contemporary art and looking at the quality
of the project and its feasibility
during the residency period.

L’artista mantiene totale proprietà intellettuale sul lavoro prodotto durante la residenza.
Totale o parziale riproduzione di
esso a fini divulgativi sarà a discrezione di Kolor bnb e Wonderlust.
Artists retain total ownership and
copyright of all the works produced
during Industrial Therapy.
However, the artist gives all necessary authorization for a partial
or total reproduction of any chosen
work produced within the context of
the residency, in any medium whatsoever (photography, video, text,
etc.) for promotional purposes.
Kolor bnb wont be responsible for
vandalic acts and ensures the preservation of the artwork for a minimum of 4 years if in compliance
with the project presented.

KOLOR BNB
Kolor bnb si trova al confine tra la
città di Lecce e la sua zona industriale. Distante solo pochi minuti
in macchina dal centro storico nel
corso degli anni ha visto inglobare
la sua area in un tessuto stradale
sempre più fitto fino a vedersi letteralmente scavalcare dall’anello
tangenziale della città.
All’interno della villa si scopre
un panorama più sereno rispetto al
contesto con un grande giardino,
alberi da frutto, piscina ed angoli
dove rilassarsi.
Kolor bnb is situated at the border
between the city of Lecce and its
industrial zone.
Minutes away from the historic center of the city with the passing
years the area was inglobated in a
thick road network and loomed over
by the city main bypass road.
Behind the walls of the villa the
landscape is very different, quiet, with a big orchard, a swimming
pool and relaxing corners, in stark
contrast with the surroundings.

Wonderlust#rome è un progetto nato per
creare una rete localizzata che evidenzi il ruolo vitale dell’arte contemporanea a Roma (e in Italia) valorizzando il potenziale dello scambio
culturale tra operatori italiani e
stranieri.
Wonderlust#rome è Francesco Buonerba e
Nicoletta Guglielmucci curatori d’arte contemporanea.
Wonderlust#rome is a project aim
to create a localized network that
highlights the vital role of contemporary art in Rome (and Italy)
by enhancing the potential of the
cultural exchange between Italian
and foreign operators.
LO.FT - Locali fotografici
LO.FT - Locali fotografici
LO.FT - Locali Fotografici è un’associazione culturale tutta al femminile con sede a Lecce, che si occupa
di fotografia autoriale contemporanea: organizza workshop e masterclass,
mostre, eventi fotografici e presentazioni di libri, possiede un ampio
bookshop e un laboratorio di stampa
fine art e progettazione editoriale.
LO.FT è Francesca Fiorella, direttore
e Alice Caracciolo, vicedirettore, entrambe fotografe professioniste.
LO.FT - Locali Fotografici is an association, women driven, based in Lecce,
focused on contemporary auteur photography that organises workshops and
mastercalsses, exhibitions and book
presentations. It includes a bookshop
and a fine art print and editing labs.
LO.FT is Francesca Fiorella, director
and Alice Caracciolo, co-director both
professional photographers.
