Lugano) with the support of Festival del film Locarno, is organizing, from the 3 to the 12 of August 2016, a

Photo Contest whose subject is the 69 Festival edition.
Terms and Conditions

- The contest is open to all the accredited photographers of the 69 edition of the Festival del film
Locarno, whom guarantee that the submitted photos have been personally taken and not by others.

Photographers can submit no more than ONE picture per Festival day.

All the submitted pictures will be printed, in format 20x30, on the first working day after their submission
and then exposed at the entrance of the Centro PAX of Muralto. Pictures will be exposed on some
panels surrounding the entrance and will be numbered according their submission order.

The deadline for submitting pictures is the 12 of August at 11am. The awards ceremony will take place

on August 12 at 4.30pm. Winners will be contacted by phone; it’s desired their participation or that of
their spokespeople.

Photographers must submit their works following the contest delivery specifications given below.

Submission Specifications
The submission procedure must be the following one:

Pictures must be sent by e-mail at the address [email protected]

In the e-mail body, participants must specify their address, their telephone number and the details of the
camera used for taking the submitted pictures.

Each file must be named with the picture’s title.
-
The title must appear on each picture, bottom left positioned.
Awards
A jury composed by a non-accredited photographer, a Foto Garbani representative and a Festival del film
Locarno representative, will assign the awards. The person in charge of the contest’s administrative issues will
have no connection with the jury.
The prizes awarded are the following:

Voucher of 1.000 CHF for the purchase of Canon products at the Foto Garbani shop (Locarno-Lugano).
Voucher of 1.000 CHF or the purchase of Nikon products at the Foto Garbani shop (Locarno-Lugano).
Voucher of 1.000 CHF for photo prints at the Foto Garbani shop (Locarno-Lugano).
3 photographer accreditations offered by Festival del film Locarno for the next edition.
Please note that cash cannot replace prizes, in any case.

Other Information
The submitted pictures will not be returned, however pictures will not be used without photographers’
agreement.
Mail exchanges regarding the contest will not be followed up.
By submitting pictures, photographers automatically exclude the option of taking any kind of legal action against
the organizers and automatically accept all the conditions above mentioned.

using Canon or Nikon cameras:
- Rent of Cameras, Lenses and Flashes from Canon and Nikon (Selection restricted to main products)
- Upon appointment: Sensor cleaning of personal SLR cameras for CHF 70, with a 50% discount on the
