asta un’occhiata al profilo e al dritto di
prua ad alimentare la curiosità di scoprire
cosa si celi all’interno. Sin dai primi rendering è infatti evidente che il nuovo progetto del cantiere italiano Mondo Marine
rompe con gli schemi e i layout considerati irrinunciabili e adottati dalla gran parte degli yacht in circolazione. A distinguere l’SF40 non sono solo le linee
esterne e il décor; ciò che cambia è l’impianto generale che alla disposizione degli ambienti interni assegna la sua unicità. Innovativa, in tal senso, è la
suite armatoriale, collocata sul main deck in un
avamposto privilegiato e scandito da un’insolita interpretazione dello spazio privato.
La cabina si sviluppa infatti su due semi livelli
dotati ognuno di una precisa connotazione: la parte
alta, completamente immersa nell’ambiente circostante, con vista panoramica ininterrotta verso
prua, e la parte bassa, più intima e riservata, che
riceve luce naturale dall’alto e da piccole fessure ve-

Intorno all’appartamento armatoriale, con accesso
dal ponte armatore, si snoda la disposizione di tutti
gli altri ambienti, con l’area giorno sul ponte principale e la zona notte, con quattro cabine ospiti, di cui
due vip e due doppie a letti gemelli, e quattro alloggi
per l’equipaggio su quello inferiore.
A poppa della suite, dotata di doppio accesso laterale all’area esterna di prua, un grande salone con
entrata diretta al living esterno attrezzato di angolo
bar e tavolo da pranzo per dieci commensali.

per il Medioriente, SF40 è la prima unità della linea SF con cui il cantiere vuole offrire unità dal design pulito ed
equilibrato associato ad una nuova concezione di
volumi e layout. È da leggersi in questa chiave lo
studio di ogni parte dello yacht, che è stata concepita per rispondere a una funzionalità intrinseca e in
rapporto con le altre. L’esito è un continuum estetico
e razionale in cui la vista non viene colpita da un
dettaglio emergente, ma attratta da un insieme di armoniosa eleganza. «La disposizione degli interni, la
prua verticale e l’alto bordo libero - ha spiegato Luca
Vallebona - ha permesso di sfruttare al massimo le volumetrie disponibili a tutto vantaggio dell’abitabilità e
del comfort, degni di uno yacht ben più grande anche
nelle aree dedicate ai sette membri d’equipaggio».
L’esplicita pulizia e linearità del design conferisce
allo yacht un’idea atemporale di lusso, che rifugge
l’ostentazione e le mode, preferendo la discrezione e
la riscoperta della dimensione del viaggio e dell’avventura. Una filosofia che ben si addice al mezzo, un
41,50 metri in alluminio con scafo dislocante e autonomia oceanica. Grazie a una coppia di Mtu 12V
2000 M72 da 1.450 cavalli e a una capacità dei serbatoi carburante di 65.000 litri, all’andatura di 12 nodi
l’SF40 naviga ininterrottamente per 4.000 miglia.

It only takes a glance at the outline and stem to make one curious to
see what lies within. Right from the first renderings, it is clear that the
new project from the Italian Mondo Marine yard breaks with tradition and layouts considered essential and adopted by most yachts
around. What makes the SF40 stand out are not just the external
lines and decor, but the general layout that makes the interiors so
unique. The owner’s suite is innovative in this regard: it is located
forward on the main deck and marked by an unusual interpretation of
this private space.
The cabin is built on two half-floors, each of which with a precise
connotation: the upper part is wholly immersed in the surrounding
environment and has an uninterrupted view towards the bow, while
the lower part is more intimate and private, receiving natural light from
above and from the small windows at the level of the lateral passageways, almost as though to stress the atmosphere of privacy of the
interior.
Around the owner’s suite, with access from the owner’s deck, there
are all the other spaces, with the day area on the main deck and the
sleeping accommodation, with four guests’cabins, of which two Vips
and two with twin beds, and four cabins for the crew.
Aft of the suite, and with its own lateral access from the external bow
area, there is a large saloon with direct entrance to the outdoor area
equipped with a bar and dining table seating ten.
On the flybridge, behind the wheelhouse, there is an area dedicated
to fun, with a pool surrounded by sunbathing area, a bar and a social
area with sofas and dining table protected by the hard top.
Designed by Luca Vallebona for SF Yachts, the exclusive Mondo
Marine dealer for the Middle East, the SF40 is the first vessel in the SF
line, with which the yard aims to offer yachts with a clean, balanced
design associated with a new concept of volumes and layout. The
design of every part of the yacht should be seen with this in mind; this
is a boat that has been planned to respond to an intrinsic functionality, each in relation to the next. The result is an aesthetic and rational
continuum in which one’s gaze is never struck by a detail that stands
out, but is attracted by a sense of harmonious elegance. «The layout
of the interiors, the vertical bow and the high freeboard», explains
Luca Vallebona, «has made it possible to exploit the space available to
maximum effect, to the benefit of convenience and comfort worthy of
a yacht much larger than this one, including in the areas dedicated to
the seven crew members». The explicit cleanness and linearity of the
design gives the yacht a timeless sense of luxury that spurns ostentation and fashions, preferring discretion and the rediscovery of a dimension of travel and adventure. This is a philosophy that perfectly fits
the yacht, a 41.5-metre aluminium displacement hull and oceangoing
range. Thanks to a pair of Mty 12V 2000 M72 engines generating 1,450
hp and fuel tanks with a capacity of 65,000 litres, at 12 knots, the SF40
can sail for 4,000 miles.
