Sistemi di compostaggio domestico
Effettuare lo smaltimento dei rifiuti organici tramite il compostaggio domestico è molto
vantaggioso in termini di:
Produzione in proprio di concime, protezione dell’ambiente, risparmio dei costi, e altri.
Vi sono differenti metodi di compostaggio domestico per coloro che possiedono un giardino. Di
seguito elenchiamo una breve sintesi per la vostra informazione su tali sistemi:
L’offerta sul mercato si suddivide in tre tipologie di compostaggio domestico, quali:
1) Compostaggio domestico tradizionale che necessita del
rivoltamento del cumulo:
cumulo poggiato sul suolo all’aria aperta o all’interno di un involucro di forma tonda, cubica,
concava ecc.

Compostaggio domestico senza il rivoltamento del cumulo:
il cumulo non poggia sul suolo e si trova all’interno di una compostiera che non prevede il

1) Compostaggio domestico tradizionale che necessita del
rivoltamento del cumulo

rimuovere il terriccio maturo.“

E’ impossibile togliere compost maturo sotto un cumulo di 100kg. Per questo motivo, le compostiere
tradizionali necessitano della miscelazione del cumulo per arrivare al terriccio maturo e nessuno ricompone il
cumulo a strati come richiesto dalle istruzioni. Di conseguenza gli effetti prodotti sono cattivi odori,
marcescenza, scarsa qualità di terriccio e lento processo di compostaggio.

Nota: I lombrichi fanno parte di una biocenesi del processo di compostaggio e si trovano negli ambienti naturali,
ove è in atto tale processo.
Il compostaggio a lombrichi viene rinforzato introducendo una maggiore quantità di lombrichi che prediligono
materiale fresco appena marcito, e attraverso i loro escrementi producono prezioso concime.
I lombrichi, oltre al loro nutrimento (rifiuti organici) necessitano di un ambiente relativamente immobile, altrimenti
si allontanano dal materiale compost. Comunque sia, si trovano in ogni ambiente naturale, nelle compostiere
tradizionali o nel SUPERCOMP® . Qualora non ci fosse la loro presenza, si possano aggiungere.
