SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Be sure to read this User’s Giude carefully before using the jacket with the Spidi for proper
use and safety and keep it, in the place you can reach anytime (e.g. in the motorcycle).
The marks used in this User’s Giude denote as follows.
DANGER
This symbol means that ignoring the “DANGER” sign on result in the death or permanent
illness of the product user.
DANGER 1. The Neck Dps is ti be used for the rider’s safety when riding a motorcycle and not
for any other purpose.
DANGER 2. The Neck Dps of the right size is to be worn as an outerwear on the upper half of
the body.
DANGER 3. Use the gas cartridge of the same size and contents as before when replacing and
confirm that there is no holes or tears in its seal.
DANGER 4. Do not take any parts of the Neck Dps apart.
DANGER 5. ALWAYS mount the Warrior Chest before wearing Neck DPS System.

ATTENTION
This symbol means that ignoring the “ATTENTION” sign could result in physical damage to the product user.
ATTENTION 1. Remove sharp or pointed objects such as pins or pens from the jacket with the
Neck Dps or from the underwear before wearing. They may demage the air cushion
before or at the time of the activation and prevent the fuction of the Neck Dps.
ATTENTION 2. Do not put close to flames, lit cigarettes or heated parts of engine, since ensuing
lacerations or tears could compromise the Neck DPS functionality. Keep and use at
temperatures below 40°C as the gas cartridge may burst at a high temperature.
ATTENTION 3. Disconnet the Neck Dps from the “coiled wire” at the “one-touch release
(connector)” before getting off a motorcycle. Otherwise, it may cause accidental
activation.
ATTENTION 4. Be sure the helmet is properly fastened.
ATTENTION 5. Inspect the Neck Dps whether there is any damaged part before wearing.
If any, consult with an authorized dealer.
ATTENTION 6. In order to ensure Neck Dps is in good condition of use, according to frequency of
use periodically check mechanical parts for wearing or oxidation.
ATTENTION 7. Always hang the Neck Dps on a coat hanger. Do not fold or lay anything on it.
Avoid high temperature and high humidity.
ATTENTION 8. To avoid any damage to the airbag, do not pick a needle or sew emblems or iron
on the Neck Dps.
ATTENTION 9. Make sure the “coil wire” is securely attached to the motorcycle. Improper attaching may prevent the function of the Neck Dps.
ATTENTION 10. Take the responsibility for correct dismantling and assembling of the Neck Dps.
ATTENTION 11. Do not use the Neck Dps separately from the jacket/vest/suit.
ATTENTION 12. Take the Neck Dps off from the jacket before washing or laundering. The Neck
Dps system should not be washed/laundered.
ATTENTION 13. If a fray, rust or wear is found on the “wire loop” or the “coil wire” attached to the
“kay ball”, replace it immediately.

The Neck Neck Dps (Shock–buffering Protection System) is to be worn as an outerwear when riding a motorcycle.
It will be activated/inflated immediately after a distance from the rider to the motorcycle exceeds the “activation
distance” (*1) when the rider falls off or thrown off the motorcycle. It will be activated at the moment the key
ball is pulled out from the key box (see 4.2 p.9). This causes the gas cartridge to release the CO² gas into the
air cushions to inflate them immediately.
Inflated air cushions are designed to come between the rider’s body and objects against which the rider may
strike after falling off or being thrown off the motorcycle.
The Neck Dps will act as a buffer to absorb the shock of impact and reduce the risk of injury for the rider who
wears it.
However, this does not imply or guarantee rider’s safety.
The key ball requires considerable strength to be pulled out and will not be released easily because of the
elastic nature of the coiled wire (see 5.4 p.13), thus the Neck Dps will not inflate under normally anticipated
riding conditions including standing on pegs.
(*1) “Distance of activation” meaning the length of the spiral rope pulled to its max extension between bike
and key box.

Key Ball
• If the “coiled wire” running from the “key box” to the motorcycle touches an obstacle such as the rider’s
body, any part of the motorcycle, or any other projecting, there is a possibility of accidental activation within
the “activation distance” by force strong enough to pull the “key ball” out of the “key box”.
• When the rider crashers or falls down together with the motorcycle, unless the “activation distance” is
exceeded, the Neck Dps will not be activated. The Neck Dps will not protect areas where the inflated air
cushion does not cover.
• If the rider wearing the Neck Dps forgets to disconnect the “one-touch relase” and goes away from the motorcycle farther than the “activation distance”, a tensile strengh of approximately 20kg-25kg (see 4.2 P.9)may
activate and inflate the Neck Dps. Connect the “one-touch release” only while you are on the motorcycle.
• Once a gas cartridge is used, it cannot be used again. Buy a new one from an authorized dealer.

STUCTURE
4.1 Function
1. As soon as the “activaction distance” is reached, the Neck Dps is activated, sending the CO2 gas into the
air cushions so that it will provide protection from the shock of impact even before it is fully inflated.
2. At the back of CO2 cartridge and the key box, a key box plate (made by plastics) or a buffer material is
placed to protect the rider’s chest from the projecting objects in case of an accident.
3. After the airbag is inflated in full, the gas will leak out gradually. Depending on the amount of the pressure given to the airbag by the accident, a feeling of tightness may be felt but gradually subsides. In case of
restrained breath, remove Neck DPS as shown on page 6.
ATTENTION 4. After activation, Neck Dps could not function properly because of sustained
damage of fabric, air cushion, Velcro, fastener etc. If so, consult with an authorized
dealer. The Neck Neck Dps may not be repairable in some cases.
ATTENTION 5. After every time Neck Dps is inflated, users must ensure about the integrity of
the system*2.
*2 After activation, even if not visible, damages may have occurred to the air chamber. Be sure no air leaks are
present.
4.2 Key Box
With a tensile strenght of approximately 20kg-25kg
by the “colied wire”, the “key ball” comes out of the
“key box”. Then a needle in the “key box” is activated and punctures the seal of the gas cartridge
to inflate the Neck Dps instantly.
The “key ball” can be pulled out from any direction

ATTENTION 1. Do not take the “key
box” apart or remove any parts.
ATTENTION 2. Screw the gas cartridge fully into the bottom until it cannot go
any further.

4.3 Key Ball

4.4 Air Cushion
2. The maximum pressure is about 25 kpa (0.25kg/cm2) when the air cushion is fully infleted, but gradually
decreases as gas comes out of the air cushion.

1. The air cushions are made of high quality strong polyurethane film to absorb and reduce the shock of
impact as much as possible when they are inflated.
3. Resistance to tearing depends on jacket’s materials of the inner tube (polyurethane) and the strenght of
the stitch and also depends on the degree of impact, shape or hardness of the object the rider may hit after
the Neck Dps inflates.
4. The gas is sent from the “key box” to each ar cushion through polyurethane tubing.
- The Neck Dps is designed to act as a shock absorber and may break depending on the shape of the object
against which it strikes and also the extent of impact sustained.
4.5 Gas Cartridge (CO2)
- The gas cartridge contains CO2 gas.
- If a CO2 cartridge is not screwed into the key box completely, a needle in the key box may not reach and
puncture the seal of the CO2 cartridge to inflate the air cushion.
- When the “key ball” is released from the “key box”, a needle punctures the seal of the gas cartridge to let the
gas go into each air cushion.
- Do not reuse the gas cartridge once used. Change it to a new one.
Observe the followings to avoid an explosion
DANGER 1. Keep and use at the temperature below 40°C.
Do not keep in the car where the temperature may go up high.
DANGER 2. Do not give the cartridge a strong shock (If deformed is to be replaced).
DANGER 3. Do not heat the cartridge over 40°C.
DANGER 4. Do not let corrosion form on the surface of the cartridge. If corrosion is noticed,
replace it immediately.
DANGER 5. Confirm that the used gas cartridge is empty of gas before disposing.
DANGER 6. Do not cut or puncture the gas cartridge.
DANGER 7. Install a gas cartridge of the same size and contents as the one at the time of the
purchase of the Neck Dps.
ATTENTION 8. Use the gas cartridge for Neck Dps only, not for any other purpose.
ATTENTION 9. Once a gas cartridge is installed, do not attempt to turn, loosen or remove.
ATTENTION 10. Keep the gas cartridges out of the reach of children.
ATTENTION 11. Screw CO2 cartridge into key box as much as possible.

USING NECK DPS
5.1 One-touch release
Use one-touch release to easily connect or disconnect spiral wire on the bike and ball key.

1. The one-touch release may come in contact with and cause
damag e to the tank or other part of the motorcycle. If such situation is expected, putting a seal around such parts for protection is
recommended.
2. Hold the female connector and insert the male one. A clicking
sound will confirm that a connection is made properly. Otherwise,
it may come off by itself.
3. Change it for a new one if/when the insertion is not made properly. Using force to connect the one-touch release may cause its
malfunction.
4. When getting off the motorcycle, make sure that the male part
does not touch the hot part of the motorcycle, such as the engine
or muffler, because the heat could damage the optimal shape of
the male part.
5.2 Connecting Coiled Wire and Neck Dps
• Hold both sides of the female part of the “one-touch release” into which insert the male connector (photo 1).
• Before getting off the motorcycle, press both sides of the “one-touch release” for disconnection (photo 2).

5.3 Attaching Coiled Wire to Motorcycle
ENGLISH
Where and how to attach the “coiled wire” to the motocycle varies with the motorcycle. The rider’s movement when riding also varies. Taking these into consideration, decide the length of the “coiled wire”
and the part of the motorcycle where it is to be attached. Improper attaching may cause an accidental
activation of the Neck Dps when the rider touches the “coiled wire” with some force.
ATTENTION
2. Due to the elastic nature of the “coiled wire”, the “key ball” or “the one-touch
release” may hit the fuel tank or other part of the motorcycle causing damages
when the Neck Dps is activated.
ATTENTION
3. If the “coiled wire” is not attached to the motorcycle properly, it may come off
when it is stretched then Neck Dps will not to be activated.
ATTENTION
4. Replace the “coiled wire” when wear, burns, peeling or cracks are found.

1. Fix the “coiled wire” on the motorcycle, be careful to avoid the “coiled wire”
touching the heated engine, obstructing rider’s movement, coiling around
the wheel and causing damages to it or the motorcycle. If such problem is
foreseeable, remove the “coiled wire” from the motorcycle.

After a coiled wire is fixed to a motorcycle and its length is adjusted, place it in the grooves of the loop setter
and tighten the wing screw.

ATTENTION
1. When getting on a motorcycle, confirm that the wing screw is
tightly screwed down.

2. Place a coiled wire in the grooves of the loop setter and tighten it
firmly with the wing screw. Leave more than 2cm of the wire outside
of the loop setter, cut any excess wire and cap the cut end.

Protect a motorcycle and a coiled wire against damage. Pass a coiled wire through a protector tube to protect the part of the wire wound around the frame or handlebar etc. of the motorcycle. Cut the excess tube
depending on the part where the coiled wire is fixed (see p. 2).

ATTENTION AFTER ACTIVATION
Pay attention to the following points:
1. In case of excessive pressure over neck area, remove Neck DPS system
2. Watch around the situation calmly, unzip and release the buckle to take off the
jacket.
3. If the scene of accident seems to be dangerous, go to the safe area before taking
off the jacket.
4. When the Neck Dps is inflated, a feeling of tightness may be felt, but the gas will
leak out gradually. Therefore, calm yourself down even if the body with the inflated
vest is pressed down by something.
5. If the air cushion is punctured when fully inflated, the gas in all the cushions will
immediately escape and the cushion will deflate.
ATTENTION 6. If the Neck Dps inflates accidentally for some reason while riding, stay calm. Look for
a safe place and take an appropriate action. To continue to ride with the inflated Neck
Dps may be dangerous due to the increasing wind resistance etc. Remove it first.
7. In case activation should damage Neck DPS, the system must be replaced
ATTENTION entirely.
8. Be aware of points listed below when attempting to re-assemble the Neck Dps by
ATTENTION yourself after it is activated.
• Whether it has external damages (holes, scratches, tears etc.)
• Ensure that the airbag is fully inflated when it is activated.
• Ensure that the new gas cartridge is the correct size and unused before replacing
the used one.
Go over the points listed above and if there are no problems, re-assemble
the Neck Dps carefully at your own risk.
It may not work as designed if there are external or internal damages.
For further details for re-assembling see Chapter 7,
(page 16 to 21).

It can be reused if it is re-assembled in accordance with the following procedure, but unless it is done
properly, it may not work.
It cannot be re-assembled if it is damaged by the previous activation.

Re-assembling “Key Box”

ATTENTION
The Neck Dps System is designed to
provide protection especially to the
wearer’s neck, so when it is inflated,
there will be some pressure around
the neck, and if it is difficult release
the strap of helmet, take the Neck Dps
off immediately.
3. To remove all remaining gas from the
air cushion, spread the Neck Dps, face
down on a flat on a smooth surface.
By pressing down the air cushion all
over patiently, the gas will be removed
almost completely. Do not fold or roll
up the Neck Dps to avoid damages
inside. (picture 3)
ATTENTION
If the gas left remaining in any of the air
cushion, it cannot be re-assembled.

HOW TO STORE
For the long and safe use of the Neck Dps do not keep it in such conditions as follows:

If a problem listed below is found on the Neck Dps, consult with an authorized dealer to change
or repair/replace.
1. The jacket, suit, vest or inner fabric (cloth, mesh) becomes frayed or is torn and inner tubing
(white polyurethane film) is exposed.
2. A crack or rust is found on the “key box” or on the gas cartridge.
3. The “coil wire” or the “wire loop” gets scrapped and frays.
4. Considerable change of colour or deterioration of material.

PRECAUZIONI DI SICUREZZA
La presente guida per l’utente deve essere letta attentamente prima di utilizzare la giacca
con Neck Dps in maniera da garantirne l’uso appropriato in sicurezza e collocarlo dove sia
di facile reperimento (ad esempio nella moto).
I simboli utilizzati nella presente Guida per l’utente hanno il seguente significato:
PERICOLO
Questo simbolo denota che se il segale “PERICOLO” è ignorato, ne può risultare la morte
o l’infermità permanenti di chi utilizza il prodotto.
PERICOLO 1. Neck Dps deve essere utilizzato per la sicurezza del motociclista quando è alla
guida della moto e per nessun altro scopo.
PERICOLO 2. Il Neck Dps nella taglia corretta deve essere indossato come un capo esterno
nella parte superiore del corpo.
PERICOLO 3. In caso di sostituzione, utilizzate la cartuccia del gas della stessa dimensione e
contenuti e assicuratevi che l’involucro non sia né forato né lacerato.
PERICOLO 4. Non rimuovere nessuna della parti che compongono Neck Dps.

contiene Neck Dps o dalla maglieria intima poiché potrebbero danneggiare il
cuscino d’aria prima o al momento dell’attivazione compromettendo la funzione
di Neck Dps.

ATTENZIONE 2. Non avvicinare fiamme libere, sigarette o parti calde del motore alla giacca
che contiene Neck Dps perché fori e lacerazioni che ne conseguono possono
comprometterne la funzionalità.
Tenere e utilizzare a temperatura inferiore a 40°C per evitare che – ad una temperatura maggiore – la cartuccia di gas possa esplodere.
ATTENZIONE 3. Scollegare Neck Dps dal cavo a spirale nel punto di “sgancio rapido” (connettore) prima di scendere dalla moto per evitare una attivazione accidentale.
ATTENZIONE 4. Assicurarsi che il casco sia ben allacciato.
ATTENZIONE 5. Verificare che Neck Dps non sia danneggiato in nessuna delle sue parti prima
di indossarlo.
ATTENZIONE 6. Per assicurarvi che Neck Dps sia in buone condizioni d’uso, sulla base della
frequenza d’uso controllare che le parti meccaniche siano esenti da usura e
ossidazione.
ATTENZIONE 7. Riporre Neck Dps su una gruccia. Non ripiegarlo né sovrapporre alcunché.
Evitare ambienti molto caldi e umidi.
ATTENZIONE 8. Per evitare di danneggiare l’airbag, non forare con un ago, non cucire stemmi,
non stirare Neck Dps.
ATTENZIONE 9. Assicuratevi di aver ben fissato il cavo a spirale alla moto. Il fissaggio non corretto può compromettere la funzionalità del Neck Dps.
ATTENZIONE 10. Dovete essere in grado di montare e smontare il Neck Dps correttamente.
ATTENZIONE 11. Non utilizzare Neck Dps separatamente dalla giacca/gilet/tuta.
ATTENZIONE 12. Rimuovere il Neck Dps dalla giacca da lavare o da far lavare. Neck Dps non
deve essere lavato né fatto lavare.
ATTENZIONE 13. Se notate segni di sfilacciamento, ruggine o usura nell’anello del cavo o nel
cavo a spirale collegato alla key box, procedete ad immediata sostituzione.

Neck Dps (sistema di protezione para-urti) deve essere indossato come un capo esterno quando siete alla
guida della moto.
Si attiverà gonfiandosi immediatamente non appena il motociclista supera la “distanza di attivazione” dalla
moto (*1) o quando cade scivola dalla moto.
L’attivazione ha luogo nel momento in cui la ball key viene tirata dal suo alloggiamento (vedi 4.2 pagina 31)
provocando il rilascio di CO2 dalla cartuccia di gas nel cuscino d’aria che si gonfia immediatamente.
Le camere d’aria gonfiate sono disegnate in modo da frapporsi tra il corpo del pilota e oggetti contro i quali il
pilota potrebbe urtare dopo essere caduto o scivolato dalla moto.
Neck Dps diviene in tal modo un respingente che assorbe l’urto del colpo e riduce il rischio di lesioni per il
motociclista che lo indossa.
Tuttavia non implica né garantisce la sicurezza del motociclista.
La ball key si attiva solo se tirata con grande forza: il rilascio non avviene con facilità proprio per la natura
elastica del cavo a spirale (vedi 5-4 pagina 13). Quindi non si gonfia nelle normali condizioni anticipate di
guida o quando si è in posizione eretta in appoggio sulle pedane.
(*1) Per “distanza di attivazione” si intende la lunghezza del cavo a spirale tirato nella sua massima estensione tra la moto e la key box.

Ball Key
• Se il cavo a spirale che collega la key box e la moto tocca un ostacolo come il corpo del motociclista
oppure parti della moto, o qualsiasi altro oggetto che sporge, può attivarsi accidentalmente nella distanza di
attivazione per effetto di una forza di intensità tale da tirare la ball key fuori dal suo alloggiamento.
• Quando il motociclista urta o cade con la moto, se la distanza di attivazione non viene superata, Neck Dps non si attiva.
Neck Dps non protegge le parti che non sono coperte dal cuscino d’aria.
• Se il motociclista che indossa il Neck Dps dimentica di scollegare lo sgancio automatico e si allontana
dalla moto superando la distanza di attivazione, una forza tensile di circa 20-25 kg (Pagina 9 Capitolo 4.2)
può attivare e gonfiare Neck Dps. Collegare o scollegare lo sgancio rapido quando si è sulla moto.
• Una volta che la cartuccia di gas è stata utilizzata non può essere riutilizzata. Acquistane una nuova dal
rivenditore autorizzato.

STRUTTURA
4.1 Funzione
1. Una volta raggiunta la distanza di attivazione, Neck Dps si innesca convogliando il gas CO2 nei cuscini ad
aria che forniranno la necessaria protezione contro l’urto anche prima di essere pienamente gonfiati.
2. Sul retro della cartuccia CO2 e della key box, è stata collocata una piastra di plastica o del materiale respingente per proteggere il torace del motociclista contro gli oggetti sporgenti in caso di incidente.
3. Una volta pienamente gonfiato, dall’airbag inizia a defluire gradualmente il gas.
In base alla pressione esercitata dall’airbag in seguito all’incidente, si avverte una sensazione di stringimento
che tuttavia scompare gradualmente. Se il respiro venisse in qualche modo reso difficoltoso, rimuovere Neck
Dps come indicato a pagina 28.
ATTENZIONE 4. Dopo l’attivazione, Neck Dps potrebbe non funzionare correttamente a causa
di un danno del tessuto dell’indumento, del cuscino ad aria, della chiusura con
velcro, ecc. In questo caso consultare un rivenditore autorizzato. Neck Dps in
alcuni casi potrebbe non essere riparabile.
ATTENZIONE 5. Ogni volta che Neck Dps viene gonfiato, anche se il danno non è visibile, controllare che sia integro *2.
*2 Dopo l’attivazione anche se il danno non è visibile, possono essere intervenuti dei danni al cuscino ad aria,
controllare che non siano presenti perdite.
4.2 Key Box
Con una forza tensile pari approssimativamente
a 20 – 25 kg del “cavo a spirale”, la “ball key”
fuoriesce dal suo alloggiamento.
In questo modo l’ago all’interno della scatola
viene attivato forando il sigillo della cartuccia di
gas che gonfia istantaneamente Neck Dps.

ATTENZIONE 1. Non smontare la
key box né rimuoverne le parti.

4.3 Ball Key

4.4 Cuscino d’aria
2. La pressione massima ammonta a circa 25 kpa (0,25 kg/cm) quando il cuscino ad aria è completamente
gonfio e decresce gradualmente con la fuoriuscita del gas.

1. I cuscini ad aria sono costituiti da una pellicola poliuretanica di alta qualità che – una volta gonfiati - assorbono quanto più possibile e riducono lo choc da urto.
3. La resistenza alla rottura dipende dal materiale della giacca, del tubo interno (poliuretano) e dalla resistenza
delle cuciture come pure da grado di impatto, forma o durezza dell’oggetto che il motociclista può colpire
una volta che Neck Dps si gonfia.
4. ll gas viene fatto fuoriuscire dalla “key box” e convogliato nel cuscino ad aria tramite un condotto in materiale poliuretanico.
- Neck Dps è stato progettato per assorbire gli urti e si può rompere a seconda degli oggetti contro i quali
urta e dalla misura dell’impatto.
4.5 Cartuccia (CO2)
- La cartuccia del gas contiene CO2.
- Se una cartuccia di CO2 non è completamente avvitata nella key box, l’ago potrebbe non raggiungere e quindi
non forare il sigillo della cartuccia di CO2 che gonfia il cuscino.
- Quando la ball key viene rilasciata dal suo alloggiamento, l’ago fora il sigillo della cartuccia del gas che
convoglia il gas nel cuscino ad aria.
- Non riutilizzare la cartuccia di gas una volta usata. Cambiatela con una nuova.
Osservate quanto segue per evitare un’esplosione:
PERICOLO 1. Custodire e utilizzare a temperature inferiori a 40°C. Non lasciare in auto se la
temperatura diviene troppo elevata.
PERICOLO 2. La cartuccia non deve subire forti urti (se deformata va sostituita).
PERICOLO 3. La cartuccia non deve essere sottoposta a fonti di calore superiori ai 40°C.
PERICOLO 4. Evitare che la superficie della cartuccia sia interessata da corrosione. Se sono
presenti segni di corrosione, sostituirla immediatamente.
PERICOLO 5. Assicuratevi che la cartuccia di gas usata sia vuota prima di smaltirla.
PERICOLO 6. Non tagliate né forate la cartuccia di gas.
PERICOLO 7. Installate una cartuccia gas di dimensione e contenuto pari a quella fornita
all’acquisto di Neck Dps.
ATTENZIONE 8. Utilizzare la cartuccia gas unicamente per Neck Dps e per nessun altro scopo.
ATTENZIONE 9. Una volta installata la cartuccia, non cercate di girarla, allentarla o rimuoverla.
ATTENZIONE 10. Tenere la cartuccia gas lontano dalla portata dei bambini
ATTENZIONE 11. Avvitare la cartuccia di CO2 nella key box fino in fondo.

USO DEL NECK DPS
5.1 Sgancio rapido
Utilizzare lo “sgancio rapido” per collegare o scollegare facilmente il cavo a spirale attaccato alla moto e la
ball key.

1. Lo sgancio rapido potrebbe danneggiare il serbatoio o altre parti
della moto quando ne è a contatto. Se si prevede che ciò si possa
verificare, suggeriamo di apporre una protezione su tali parti.
2. Tenendo il connettore femmina, inserire il maschio.
Un suono secco confermerà che il collegamento è stato eseguito
correttamente. In caso contrario si sgancia da solo.
3. Sostituirlo con uno nuovo quando l’inserimento non si effettua in
maniera corretta. Se si sforza il collegamento dello sgancio immediato si rischia il malfunzionamento.
4. Quando si scende dalla moto, assicurarsi che lo spinotto non
tocchi parti calde della moto come il motore o la marmitta perché il
calore potrebbe danneggiarne la forma ottimale.
5.2 Collegamento del “cavo a spirale” al Neck Dps
• Tenere da entrambi i lati la femmina dello sgancio immediato in cui va inserito lo spinotto maschio (foto 1).
• Prima di scendere dalla moto premere entrambi i lati dello sgancio immediato per scollegarlo (foto 2).

5.3 Collegamento del “cavo a spirale” alla moto

Dove e come attaccare il “cavo a spirale” alla moto varia in base alla moto. Il movimento del motociclista quando guida è un altro elemento variabile. Entrambi gli aspetti vanno presi in considerazione per
decidere la lunghezza del cavo a spirale e dove collegarlo sulla moto. Un collegamento non corretto
può essere causa di un’attivazione accidentale di Neck Dps quando il guidatore sposta energicamente
il cavo a spirale.
ITALIANO
1. Fissare il “cavo a spirale” non attivo sulla moto evitando che venga in contatto con le parti calde del motore, che impedisca i movimenti del motociclista,
che si attorcigli attorno alla ruota danneggiandola o danneggiando la moto. Se
si prevede un problema di questo genere, rimuovere il “cavo a spirale” dalla
moto.
ATTENZIONE 2. Il “cavo a spirale” è di natura elastica e la “ball key” o lo “sgancio rapido”
possono colpire il serbatoio o altre parti della moto causando danni quando
Neck Dps viene attivato.
ATTENZIONE 3. Se il “cavo a spirale” non è collegato alla moto in maniera corretta, può
staccarsi sotto tensione non consentendo l’attivazione di Neck Dps.
ATTENZIONE 4. Sostituire il cavo a spirale se usurato, bruciato, spelato o fessurato.
• Non utilizzare altri tipi di cavo a spirale se non quello fornito dal rivenditore autorizzato.

Prima di applicare il Docking Station sulla moto, pulire il
serbatoio con l’apposito panno.

AVVERTENZE DOPO L’ATTIVAZIONE
Attenersi a quanto segue quando la giacca con l’airbag viene gonfiata.
1. Nel caso esercitasse troppa pressione sul collo, rimuove il sistema Neck Dps.
2. Senza fretta e controllando la situazione, aprire la zip e la fibbia in maniera da
rimuovere la giacca.
3. Se il luogo dell’incidente sembra essere pericoloso, portarsi in un’area di sicurezza prima di rimuovere la giacca.
4. Quando Neck Dps è gonfiato, la forte pressione che sentite inizialmente tende
a scomparire gradualmente a misura della fuoriuscita del gas. Mantenete quindi
la calma anche se il giubbetto gonfiato esercita una forte pressione sul corpo.
5. Se il cuscino d’aria viene forato quando è pienamente gonfiato, il gas esce
rapidamente e si sgonfia.
ATTENZIONE 6. Se per motivi vari Neck Dps si gonfia accidentalmente mentre state guidando,
non vi innervosite. Cercate un’area sicura e agite correttamente. Continuare a
guidare con Neck Dps gonfiato può essere pericoloso perché la resistenza al
vento aumenta. Va quindi rimosso.
ATTENZIONE 7. Se l’attivazione danneggia esternamente Neck Dps, il sitema va sostituito.
ATTENZIONE 8. Fate attenzione ai punti sottoelencati mentre cercate di riassemblare Neck Dps
da soli dopo che si è attivato.
Verificate se sono presenti danni esterni (fori, graffi, lacerazioni, ecc.)
• Assicuratevi che l’airbag sia completamente gonfio una volta attivato
• Assicuratevi che la cartuccia del gas da sostituire sia delle dimensioni corrette
e nuova.
Ripercorrete quanto sopra indicato e se non si presentano problemi,
riassemblate attentamente Neck Dps a vostro rischio.
Potrebbe non funzionare come è previsto se sono presenti danni interni o esterni. Per ulteriori dettagli di riassemblaggio leggere il capitolo 7

Neck Dps può essere riusato se viene rimontato come indicato nella procedura che segue che tuttavia
se non eseguita correttamente potrebbe comprometterne il funzionamento.
Non può essere rimontato se sono presenti danni causati dalla precedente attivazione.

7.2 RIMONTAGGIO
Rimontaggio della “key box”
PRENDETE GLI ATTREZZI PER IL MONTAGGI RAPIDO

1. Rimuovere Neck Dps dall’indumento, e
togliere il cappuccio dalla cartuccia.

2. Svitare la cartuccia gas usata girando

ATTENZIONE
Il sistema Neck Dps è progettato per
proteggere in particolare il collo di chi
lo indossa in maniera tale che quando
si gonfia esercita pressione attorno al
collo, se esagerata aprire la chiusura
del casco e rimuoverlo immediatamente.
3. Per eliminare tutto il gas residuo dal
cuscino ad aria, appoggiate il lato
frontale di Neck Dps su una superficie piatta e liscia e, pazientemente,
premete con le mani su tutto il cuscino
ad aria fino a far defluire tutto il gas.
Non ripiegate né arrotolate Neck Dps
per evitare danni interni. (figura 3)
ATTENZIONE
Se all’interno del cuscino ad aria è rimasto del gas, non può essere rimontato.

chiavetta sia completamente alloggiato nel foro della key box

Per usufruire a lungo del Neck Dps, assicuratevi di evitare le condizioni sotto elencate.

• Rimuovere Neck Dps dall’indumento che lo contiene e lavare solo quest’ultimo.
• Passare unicamente un panno sulla superficie del Neck Dps.

SOSTITUZIONE
Se si verifica uno dei problemi sotto indicati, consultare un rivenditore autorizzato per la necessaria sostituzione o riparazione.
1. La giacca, tuta o gilet oppure il tessuto interno (tessuto, rete) è lacerata o strappata e il tubo
interno (pellicola poliuretanica bianca) è visibile.
2. Sulla key box o sulla cartuccia del gas compare una fessura o della ruggine.
3. Il cavo a spirale oppure l’anello del cavo è screpolato e tagliato.
4. E’ intervenuta una notevole modifica del colore o del materiale.
