Formazione ad hoc per la Service University
The technical refresher school for the service network of the Group in the last few years has
been offering specific training sessions for the different geographical areas.
From May to August activities focused on the Chinese market have been carried out and
are still on the agenda.
On the occasion of the first Ferretti Custom Line 112’ Next going to China, a specific training programme has been studied and provided at the CRN shipyard in Ancona in May. It
lasted two weeks and was addressed to the crew of the boat and to the technical staff
of Speedo Marine. The specific and detailed programme aimed at providing the most
important concepts for the correct use and maintenance of the boat.
The training sessions have been divided according to technical macro areas, namely: engine room and systems; onboard safety systems; electrical systems for power supply on
board; audio, video and entertainment systems; navigation systems; deck systems and
their handling.
The training course had both a theoretical and a practical approach, studying the logics
of the systems and offering the opportunity to take part in sea trials and tests, practical
tests of sailing practice and mooring manoeuvres.
At the end of the courses, a certificate of attendance has been given to each participant.
At the end of July, in Hong Kong, the second stage of the course, aiming at providing
more detailed information, was provided on site by representatives of the After Sales
division and by the deliver team of Ancona, aiming at training the crew on the use of
the yacht under the real and typical conditions in which it will sail.
Beside these direct and focused training activities, some visits to the surrounding
area, in particular to Shanghai and Sanya, have been organized for performing technical inspections on board of the vessels on site and actual on the job training sessions carried out by the After Sales staff, supported by specialists of the authorized
Italian service network.
These activities are part of an overall plan aimed at creating a portfolio of high skills
for the technical staff of the area, dedicated to the after sales service of the yachts
of the Group in the territory, focusing on the provision of an excellence service to
our Customers.
La scuola di aggiornamento tecnico dedicata al service network del Gruppo si sta specializzando negli ultimi anni verso una verticalizzazione dei corsi, offrendo specifiche
sessioni di training dedicate alle diverse aree geografiche.
Da maggio ad agosto sono state effettuate e sono in programma attività rivolte in particolare al mercato cinese.
In occasione del primo Ferretti Custom Line 112’ Next diretto in Cina, è stato messo a
punto un training “ad hoc” - tenutosi presso il Cantiere CRN di Ancona lo scorso maggio, della durata di circa due settimane – rivolto ai comandanti dell’imbarcazione e al
personale tecnico del dealer Speedo Marine. Il programma, dettagliato e specifico, ha
avuto lo scopo di veicolare le nozioni principali per un utilizzo ottimale e una corretta
manutenzione della nave.
Le giornate sono state suddivise per macro tematiche tecniche, in particolare: sala macchine ed impianti; sistemi di sicurezza di bordo; impianti elettrici per la produzione di
energia a bordo; impianti audio, video e di intrattenimento; strumenti di navigazione;
attrezzature di coperta e relative manovre.
L’impostazione del training ha seguito sia un approccio teorico di studio della logica
degli impianti, sia pratico con l’organizzazione di esercitazioni e uscite in mare, prove
pratiche di condotta della navigazione e manovre di ormeggio.
I corsi si sono conclusi con la consegna ai partecipanti di un attestato di partecipazione.
A fine luglio, a Hong Kong, la seconda fase di approfondimento è stata condotta direttamente in loco, da rappresentanti della divisione After Sales e del delivery team di Ancona, come addestramento all’equipaggio all’utilizzo dell’imbarcazione nelle condizioni
reali e tipiche delle acque in cui navigherà.
A queste attività di formazione diretta e focalizzata, si sono affiancate visite nell’area,
in particolare Shangai e Sanya, per effettuare ispezioni tecniche a bordo delle imbarcazioni presenti in loco e veri momenti di training on the job condotti dal personale
After Sales affiancato da specialisti appartenenti al service network autorizzato italiano.
Le attività organizzate rientrano in un programma generale di azione volto alla costruzione di un portfolio di elevate competenze per il personale tecnico dell’area dedicato
all’assistenza post vendita delle imbarcazioni del Gruppo presenti nel territorio, tutto in
funzione di offrire il miglior servizio di eccellenza ai nostri Clienti.

The Ferretti Group at the Cannes, Monaco and Genoa Boat Shows
As usual, the Ferretti Group will take part in the Cannes and Genoa Boat Shows with five premieres, highlighting its commitment to quality, elegance and technological innovation.
Ferretti Yachts will present the Ferretti 870, a brand new model of the “large size” range of the
fleet, with its 26.5 metre overall length, while the sporty Ferretti 690 has been designed as the
most innovative yacht under 70 feet ever manufactured by the historic brand of the Group.
Flair and sporty spirit are the main features of the Pershing 82’, designed for offering the highest yachting pleasure, just like the Riva 63’ Virtus, the largest open by Riva ever, featuring the
utmost elegance.
The brand Mochi Craft will present the Dolphin 64’ Cruiser, a new generation lobster yacht designed according to the typical elegance and comfort standards of this brand of the Group.
CRN will take part in the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show, from the 19 th to the 22nd of September.
The brand will present in world preview the M/Y CRN 130 60 metres “Darlings Danama”.

An intense and extraordinary adventure, in a marvellous setting, for one of the most famous yacht market. Riva, a Ferretti Group brand, has played an important role in a number
of events that took place from June 29th to July 1st. These events aimed at celebrating its
history and pointed out future development strategies. The first, extraordinarily important
event has been the exclusive preview for the international sales network and for the customers of the brand of the 63’ Virtus, the latest model of the open range. The guests had
the opportunity to admire the new model at the St. Tropez dike, the same location of the
sea trails, and discover the details of the new open range.
Riva 63’ Virtus has also closed the Aquarama Parade in Monte Carlo, celebrating the 50
years of the model that made Riva a world icon and symbolically representing the union
between the past and the near future of the brand.
There have been many unforgettable moments, which reminded of some of the most important stages of the history of the brand, such as the “Riva Trophy”, an annual competition
dedicated to Riva owners, and the evening party to celebrate the 90-year-old engineer
Carlo Riva.
On the 170th anniversary, Riva offers the online public a new internet website,
www.riva170.com, an easily accessible platform, with elegant and refined graphics and
rich and in-depth content. The website can be accessed from any device, even smart
phones or new generation tablets.
Riva offers to its many enthusiasts an incredible repertoire of historical video clips and
adverts and it is possible to see the existing fleet, virtually being carried away on board of
each vessel, sailing along the history of the brand, from 1842 to the golden ages of the Italian and international Dolce Vita, reaching today’s masterpieces, plunging into the legend

Dal 29 giugno al 1 luglio scorsi, la Costa Azzurra è stato suggestivo palcoscenico di una serie di eventi dedicati a Riva, per celebrare i 170 anni dalla fondazione del marchio e presentare, al contempo, le prossime strategie di sviluppo. Il primo, importante appuntamento è
stata la presentazione, in anteprima assoluta per la rete vendita internazionale e i clienti
del brand, di 63’ Virtus, ultimo nato della gamma Open. Gli ospiti hanno potuto ammirare
il nuovo modello all’interno della diga di St. Tropez, dove si sono svolte le prove mare, per
conoscere nei dettagli il nuovo open. Riva 63’ Virtus ha poi chiuso la parata degli Aquarama
a Montecarlo, che ha celebrato i 50 anni del modello che, più di tutti, ha reso Riva un’icona
mondiale, a voler rappresentare, anche simbolicamente, il trait d’union tra passato e futuro

Tra i tanti indimenticabili momenti che hanno ripercorso alcune delle tappe fondamentali

Bertram Yacht gets to Merritt Island
Bertram Yacht, the legendary manufacturer of luxury sport-fishing yachts, announced the start
up of the relocation of its plant of Miami to a new facility in Merritt Island, Florida.
The new state-of-the-art boat manufacturing and marina facility in Merritt Island is situated on
a 37-acre site conveniently located for product testing, distribution and deliveries throughout
Florida and along the Eastern coast of USA.
The relocation of the historical seat of Bertram Yacht was made possible by the strict collaboration with The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast (EDC), the commission which supports companies in the development of new economic activities on the territory.
The transfer to Merritt Island confirms the success and the new development strategy implemented by the management team of Bertram. This new facility will allow using new production
processes and systems, aiming at improving and innovating the range of Bertram Yachts.

Il riposizionamento degli storici uffici di Bertram Yacht è stato reso possibile grazie alla stretta

Thermal imaging is the use of an infrared camera to “see” the thermal energy emitted from an object. Infrared energy can not be detected by the eye. Infrared allows us to see what our eyes cannot invisible heat radiation emitted by all objects, regardless of lighting conditions. Thermal imaging cameras produce images of invisible infrared or “heat” radiation. Based on temperature differences between
objects, thermal imaging produces a clear image.
Thermal imagers are very effective in marine environments. They can detect objects floating in the
water which may damage a vessel, or even worse, sink it. Other vessels, shipping lane traffic, buoys,
bridges,... it is all seamlessly detected by thermal imaging.
Thermal imagers are excellent tools for short to medium range threat detection. Today, more than ever,
shipboard security is important. Thermal imaging allows you to see what is around you, even at long
ranges. You can monitor activity in port or at anchor and see approaching vessels or people without
alerting them that they are being watched.
Thermal cameras work during the day as well, and give users the ability to see through marine haze
more effectively than with the unaided eye. It is not affected by glare from
the sun. Thermal imaging allows you to see through the glare, and detect possible obstacles, when navigating during sunrise or sunset.
Although there are other technologies available for helping you
to navigate during the night (Navigation lights, RADAR, Light
amplification, Low-lux cameras), thermal imaging outperforms them, has some advantages over them or it can complement them.

La visione termica si ottiene con l’uso di telecamere a infrarossi che riescono a ‘vedere’ l’energia termica
emessa da un oggetto. L’energia infrarossi non viene rilevata dall’occhio umano e permette di vedere
quel che i nostri occhi non vedono – le radiazioni di calore invisibili emesse dagli oggetti indipendentemente dalle condizioni di luminosità. Le termocamere ottengono immagini dall’infrarosso invisibile
e dalla radiazione di calore e producono immagini chiare grazie alle differenze di temperatura tra gli
oggetti. Le termo camere sono molto efficaci nella nautica. Possono individuare oggetti in mare che
possono danneggiare l’imbarcazione o peggio affondarla. Altre imbarcazioni, il flusso delle navi, boe,
ponti,... tutto viene identificato dalla visione termica. Le termocamere sono strumenti eccellenti per
l’identificazione di pericoli a medio-corto raggio. Oggi più che mai la sicurezza a bordo è fondamentale.
La visione termica permette di vedere cosa si ha intorno anche a lungo raggio: monitorare l’attività in
porto o all’ancora e vedere imbarcazioni o persone che si avvicinano senza doverle avvisare.
Funzionano anche durante il giorno dando la possibilità di vedere anche in caso di foschia. Il riflesso
della luce solare non le influenza quindi si possono identificare possibili ostacoli anche quando si naviga
all’alba o al tramonto. Sebbene ci siano altre tecnologie disponibili che coadiuvano la navigazione di
notte (le luci di navigazione, il RADAR, l’amplificazione di luce, le telecamere Low-lux), la visione termica
è altamente superiore, garantisce ulteriori vantaggi o le completa.

Il “Control Pump” è un sistema studiato

Il “Control Fan” è un sistema progettato e prodotto esclusivamente dalla Gianneschi Pumps
and Blowers per fornire uno specifico controllo sulla ventilazione che permetta di raggiungere e mantenere all’interno della sala macchine la temperatura ideale. Il sistema, basato su un
convertitore di frequenza (inverter), regola con precisione e rapidità la velocità dei ventilatori
in base alla richiesta dell’impianto. La regolazione della velocità (giri/1’), a seconda delle versioni, può essere eseguita in modalità manuale e/o in modalità automatica.
Il pannello di controllo offre la possibilità di visualizzare lo stato di funzionamento e le relative
variabili. Le unità sono completamente programmabili e permettono l’utilizzo con una ampia
gamma di ventilatori nelle diverse applicazioni.

The Italian company specialized in the construction of nautical accessories, on the occasion of its 45th anniversary, is further expanding in the Far East.
After more than 1 year of thorough evaluations, meetings and analysis, the Shanghai
Boat Show last April was the occasion to define and consolidate the presence in Asia by
the creation of two new service centres in
Hong Kong, in addition to the existing ones in
Japan and Taiwan.
The Far East is becoming a tourist destination,
with visitors mainly coming from Russia and
China, a truly rising economic crossroads.
We recently appointed two new official service centres in the emerging market of India,
signing an agreement with one of the most
renowned companies in the Indian nautical
sector, i.e. “West Coast Marine Yacht Service”.
One service point is located in the metropolis
of Mumbai and the second in the enchanting
setting of Goa.

world, offering further support to local boat

Besenzoni’s commitment to offer an after sales
service is supported by over 200 service points
worldwide whose technicians are selected,
trained and certified by the company itself.
The activities of the whole service network,
including those of the newcomers, are coordinated and supported by Besenzoni’s internal Customer Care Centre offering a 365 days per
year service of expert multilingual technicians.
An additional benefit has been achieved by releasing an iPhone and iPad App which locates
the nearest Besenzoni centre thanks to the GPS system on the world map. By using the “one
Tap” mode, the owner can contact a centre in a single passage by phone, sms or e-mail.
L’azienda bergamasca specializzata nella realizzazione di accessori nautici, nel suo 45°anniversario dalla fondazione, si espande in Estremo Oriente. Dopo oltre un anno di attente valutazioni, incontri ed analisi, lo Shanghai Boat Show di aprile è stata l’occasione per definire
e consolidare la propria presenza in Asia con la definizione di due nuovi centri assistenza ad
Hong Kong, che si aggiungono a quelli già attivi in Giappone e Taiwan. Crescente crocevia
economico, il Far East sta infatti diventando anche meta attrattiva dal punto di vista turistico,

Nuovi sviluppi si registrano anche in India, un mercato emergente in cui la Besenzoni ha fatto
il suo ingresso di recente, con l’apertura di due service ufficiali grazie agli accordi con una delle
compagnie più accreditate in India per i servizi nautici, la West Coast Marine Yacht Service,
uno nella metropoli di Mumbai ed un’altro nell’incantevole cornice di Goa.

Ulteriore passo verso una concezione avanzata
di customer assistance è stato il recente rilascio
di una App per iPhone che consente l’accesso,

intervento. Tramite la modalità “one tap” contact, l’armatore potrà contattare il centro con
un unico passaggio tramite telefono, sms o email.

The system is made up of 2 standard pumps from our range: ACB or ACM. Moreover, the system ensures: Protection against dry running; Sequential Automatic “start-up and shut off” of
the pump with the change request from the system; Protection against overload; Automatic
reset and restart; Use of balanced pumps through the inversion of programmed orders; Diagnostic functioning.
The “Fan Control” system is designed and manufactured exclusively by Gianneschi Pumps
and Blowers for specific ventilation control in order to get and maintain the best temperature
inside the engine room.
The system is based on a frequency inverter, and regulates the precision and speed of the
blowers according to the system’s request. Speed adjustment, according to the installed
model, can be done manually and/or automatically. The control panel can display the system’s status and parameters.
The units are fully programmable and allow the use of a wide range of blowers in different
types of applications.

ZF Marine offers with its ZF SeaRex surface drive the latest surface-drive technology. The four
available models ZF SeaRex 100 S, 120 S, 140 S and 160 S are designed for input torque from
5400 to 24000 Nm. The integrated trim configuration as well as an innovative tie bar design are
stronger and, as a result, more durable over the
lifetime of the product, underlining the attention ZF Marine has given to the safety of its surface drive system.
Key features to help boat builders during installation are the simplified installation procedure,
the integrated sensors and the stacking concept for the actuators for trim tabs, autopilot
and tiller.
Further advantages are the extremely compact
design for the hydraulic unit and the simple fine
tuning of the piston speed. No exposed external hydraulic lines or fittings and numerous
mechanical improvements ensure ease of maintenance and highest reliability over the lifetime
of the vessel.
The patented ATCS (Automatic Trim Control System) consists of an electronic unit providing automated control of the surface drives and trim
tab angle for easy and smooth planning and
cruising. ACTS eliminates the need to manually
operate the surface drives and trim tabs. The
patented ASCS (Automatic Steer Control System) is an electronic unit which controls the ZF
SeaRex at all time, and provides steering angle
restriction in relation to vessel speed guaranteeing safe operation in any situation.

to June at the shipyards
of the Ferretti Group,
with the participation of
the owners and of the
top management of the
Group.
In March the 28th hull of
the 112’ Next series was
launched in Ancona.
It will be one of the
benefits offered to the
guests of the Xanadu
South China Sea luxury
building and tourist complex, which is under construction on the prestigious Hainan Island. It will
be one of the largest maxi
yachts built by a European
shipyard to sail Chinese
waters.
In Ancona, the Navetta 26
Crescendo and the third
hull of the Custom Line
124’, the flagship model
of the planing line of the
brand, have also been
launched in May.
Ferretti Custom Line 124’
is the result of the design
and manufacturing experience of the shipyard, perfectly matching elegance, performance and highly innovative solutions for this
size of yachts.
Three hulls have been launched in June. At the shipyards of Ancona, Cattolica and La Spezia the eleventh hull of the Navetta 33 Crescendo and two Custom Line 100’, the fifth and the sixth hulls of the
model, hit the water. These are amazing figures, considering that only one year has passed since this
model was officially presented to the international nautical market together with the Custom Line 124’.

ventottesimo esemplare della

una delle attrazioni a disposizione degli ospiti nel lussuosissimo complesso immobiliare
e turistico di Xanadu South
China Sea, in costruzione sulla

si distinguerà per essere uno
dei più grandi maxi yacht di un
cantiere europeo a solcare le
acque cinesi.
Sempre ad Ancona, a maggio
sono poi stati varati un nuovo
Navetta 26 Crescendo e il terzo
scafo di Custom Line 124’, ammiraglia della gamma planante del brand.

al futuro, coniugando armoniosamente eleganza, performance e soluzioni fortemente innovative per
imbarcazioni di queste dimensioni.
Il mese di giugno ha visto invece il varo di ben tre imbarcazioni. Nelle sedi di Ancona, Cattolica e La
Spezia hanno infatti solcato il mare l’undicesima unità di Navetta 33 Crescendo e due Custom Line 100’,
rispettivamente il quinto e il sesto della categoria. Numeri davvero importanti, se si pensa che sono raggiunti dopo solo un anno di distanza dalla presentazione ufficiale di queste due imbarcazioni, insieme al
Custom Line 124’ al mercato nautico internazionale.

The Marina di Cattolica served as the charming background for a new launch for the latest born in the
Ferretti Yachts fleet. This important, enthralling event was the climax of several months of hard work:
from engineering to design, from the manufacturing stage
to the painstaking care devoted to the tiniest finishing details.
The Ferretti 870 - which will be presented as a world premiere at Cannes Boat Show - features an overall length of
26.5 metres, a 6 metre-beam, and is a further step forward in
the renovation of Ferretti Yachts’ “big boats” fleet.
Well-being and comfort on board are guaranteed by a smart
internal layout, perfectly matched with high performance
and sound-proof cabins, ensuring the utmost privacy.
Extensive, spacious areas go hand in hand with great performances on this yacht.
The first medium load trial carried out by the prototype testing team, the Ferretti 870 reached a maximum speed of 32
knots, driven by the two MTU 12 V 2000 M94; such an impressive propulsion, though, perfectly blends with the utmost comfort ensured by the Mitsubishi Anti Rolling Gyro
system, which reduces rolling by more than 50%.
Lo scorso giugno, la Marina di Cattolica ha ospitato il battesimo del mare per l’ultimo nato della flotta
Ferretti Yachts; momento emozionante, che ha simboleggiato la concretizzazione di mesi d’intenso lavoro, tra progettazione ingegneristica, design, produzione
artigianale e cura di ogni dettaglio.
Ferretti 870 - che viene presentato in anteprima mondiale al
prossimo salone di Cannes - con i suoi 26 metri e mezzo di
lunghezza fuori tutto e oltre 6 di larghezza massima, segna
un ulteriore momento di rinnovamento nella gamma delle
“grandi” Ferretti Yachts.
Benessere e comfort di bordo sono assicurati dalle brillanti
soluzioni abitative, senza dimenticare le elevate prestazioni
e doti di insonorizzazione e privacy degli ambienti.
L’utilizzo di grandi superfici vetrate sul ponte principale rende molto luminosi gli spazi, la cui ampiezza si conferma caratteristica distintiva insieme alle performance.
L’imbarcazione a medio carico ha toccato la velocità massima di 32 nodi, grazie alla coppia di motori MTU 12V 2000
M94; una forza propulsiva che si abbina al comfort, garantito
dal sistema Anti Rolling Gyro di Mitsubishi, riducendo il rollio
dell’imbarcazione di oltre il 50%.
