DEL COMPLESSO DENOMINATO “ex MAGAZZINI DEL GHETTO” di
CENEDA (Vittorio Veneto, Treviso)
L’intervento di recupero si articola in
due fasi;
la prima è quella del recupero della
struttura esistente.
La copertura in gran parte
danneggiata dovrà essere risanata,
cosi come i solai.
Si prevede l’eliminazione del solaio
nel Corpo B, in quanto scadente,
dando la possibilità di usufruire di un
volume utile per le possibili attività.

A tutti è noto che in Ceneda, oggi frazione di Vittorio Veneto, esisteva una comunità
ebraica fin dal 1597, durata circa quattrocento anni: da qui provengono gli arredi della
sinagoga che attualmente si trova al Museo d’Israele a Gerusalemme.
Del piccolo insediamento ebraico rimangono oggi alcune testimonianze: le case che
componevano il ghetto, il cimitero e i magazzini dei cereali fatti costruire nel 1771.
Proprio questi ultimi versano oggi in uno stato di abbandono tale da non consentire
nemmeno le visite per pericolo di crollo. Se non si interviene a breve, un altro
elemento di storia ebraica legata a Vittorio Veneto sparirà per sempre. L’edificio
invece potrebbe rinascere a nuova vita, sempre mantenendo l’essenza originaria di
appartenenza all’ex ghetto.
