l famoso allevamento Magic Arabians di Giuseppe
Fontanella è stato fondato nel 1992 e quest’anno celebra i suoi 20 anni. Per noi di Tutto Arabi questa è
un’ottima occasione per visitare il suo meraviglioso allevamento a Pignataro Maggiore, vicino a Napoli, Italia.
Tutti gli ospiti di Fontanella Magic Arabians sono i
benvenuti. E se tu arrivi dall’estero? Il sig. Fontanella
provvederà a farti alloggiare presso l’hotel locale gratuitamente! Gli piace dedicare il suo tempo agli ospiti e
viziarli con buon cibo e cavalli di ottima qualità.
L’allevamento è grande, con 50 ettari di pascolo e ospita
circa 250 cavalli. Ci sono 170 spaziosi box, un area specifica veterinaria/ginecologica e un vero parco naturale
presso un “secondo allevamento” Il Cascinale. Quest’ultimo è un nuovo progetto e sarà adibito ad equitazione
di campagna con 30 camere per gli ospiti, ristoranti ti208 TUTTO ARABI

iuseppe Fontanella’s famous stud Magic Arabians
was founded in 1992 and this year is celebrating
its 20 years existence. For us a good reason to visit his beautiful farm in Pignataro Maggiore, near Naples,
Italy.
At Fontanella Magic Arabians, all guests are mostly welcome. And if you come from abroad? Mr. Fontanella will make
sure you will have a room at the local hotel at no charge! He
likes to take his time his guests and spoil them with good food
and high quality horses.
The farm is big, it has around 50ha of pastures and hosts
around 250 horses. They have 170 spacious stables, a special
veterinary/genealogical area and a real nature park at the
‘second farm’ Il Cascinale. This last farm is a new project
and will be converted to a country farm with 30 guestrooms,
typical restaurants, a swimming pool, beauty farm, riding

pici, piscina, beauty farm, arena coperta di equitazione
e parco giochi.
Inoltre, è presente una divisione per addestrare cavalli
a show suoi e dei clienti. In questo momento, Alessio
Scaramella è il capo addestratore dell’allevamento.
La casa del Sig.Fontanella si trova all’interno dell’allevamento ed è già stata ospite illustre di molte feste estive.
Con la sua grande terrazza e la splendida piscina sembra
di essere in paradiso.
Anche quest’anno, Fontanella Magic Arabians aprirà le
sue porte con la famosa festa estiva. In collaborazione
con il Salerno Horse Show che si svolgerà durante la
stessa giornata a soli 50 Km dall’allevamento. Ottimo
cibo, una parata di splendide modelle e i migliori cavalli,
per finire in discoteca fino alle prime luci dell’alba.
Cosa è successo negli scorsi 20 anni, come è partito tutto, dove siamo adesso e come sarà in futuro?
Già precedentemente, Giuseppe Fontanella ha avuto cavalli di altissima qualità. Tutti noi ricordiamo il vincitore
di 3 trofei nel 1998 BJ Thee Mustafa (Thee Desperado
x Khalili el Bahar), successivamente venduto al Medio
Oriente e le sue poche figlie rimaste sono attualmente
molto ricercate come fattrici.

Besides breeding, they also have a showbarn that hosts traininghorses of himself and clients. At this moment, Alessio

The house of Mr. Fontanella is located directly at the farm
and has been the illustrious host of many summer parties already. With its big terrace and beautiful swimming pool, it
is a real place in paradise.
Also this year, Fontanella Magic Arabians opens once again
its doors to the people with the famous Summer Festival Party. This is collaboration with the Salerno horseshow, which
is held during the day only 20km away from the farm. Good
food, a parade of beautiful girl models and the best horses,
ending with a disco lasting until the first daylight!

where are we now and how does the future looks like?

Ma Thee Mustafa non era l’unico famoso stallone presso Magic Arabian Farm. Ricordiamo True Colours, Om
el Bendingo, Mosalli, Windsprees Mirage, Ansata Shaamis, Ansata Emir Sinan e gli stalloni in leasing in passato come FS Bengali, Ghajariy e Al Maraam.
Siamo rimasti colpiti dagli stalloni di nuova
generazione,attualmente residenti presso il centro, il
grande Jumanci OS by Ajman Moniscione, Lance Lord
OS by WH Justice e i suoi stalloni allevati, l’incredibile
Magic Mon Ami (FS Bengali x Magic Mon Amour),
Magic Mon Tresor (Windsprees Mirage x Al Amrya
by BJ Thee Mustafa), Versus Magic (Vervaldee x Magic
Louret by BJ Thee Mustafa), Magic Magnifique (True
Colours x Magic Mon Amour)-l’ultimo attualmente in
leasing a Blacklady Arabians in Svezia.
Ma questi stalloni non sono niente senza una solida base

Already at an early stage, Guiseppe Fontanella had the highest quality of horses. We all remember the 1998 Triple
Crown winner BJ Thee Mustafa (Thee Desperado x Khalili
el Bahar), later sold to the Middle East and the few remaining daughters of him are much sought after as broodmares
today.
One of his grandsons HdB Sihr ibn Massai (Massai Ibn
Marenga x Mayana by BJ Thee Mustafa) was recently named Brazilian National Champion!
But Thee Mustafa was not the only famous stallion residential at Magic Arabian Farm. We recall True Colours, Om
el Bendingo, Mosalli, WIndsprees Mirage, Ansata Shaamis,
Ansata Emir Sinan and the stallions he leased in the past
like FS Bengali, Ghajariy and Al Maraam.
And ofcourse the stallions of his new generation, the big moving Jumanci OS by Ajman Moniscione, Lance Lord OS by

in leasing a Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, sono solo la ciliegina sulla torta! Fontanella Magic Arabians è anche
la casa di molti cavali pura razza egiziana allevati con
cura, per lo più discendenti dalla famosa Ansata Stud di
Judith Forbis.

di quest’anno. E non finisce qui, Giuseppe Fontanella
aspetta ben 40 prodotti discendenti dalle più alte genealogie e dai magici incroci creati da Giuseppe. Per questo

Concludiamo questa bellisima giornata trascorsa alla
Fontanella Magic Arabians, dove il tempo sembra volare,

cake! Fontanella Magic Arabians is also the home of some
carefully bred Straight Egyptian horses, mostly descending
from the famous Judith Forbis’ Ansata Stud.
The stallions and mares at Fontanella Magic Arabians are
of rare quality and producing outstanding offspring. During
our visit, two new born foals by Magic Mon Ami where
presented and they set a very high standard of this year’s
upcoming foal crop!
For sure we will be able to see them all at the upcoming
Summer Festival 2012! Mr. Fontanella welcomes everyone
around the world to join him and his team to celebrate all
together the 20 years of Fontanella Magic Arabians. Housing is free of charge and many important breeders from all
over the world already signed up for what is going to be ‘the
party of the year!’. q
