From the South, Via Milan: Follow the “tangenziale est”,
the east side of the motorway bypass around Milan into
the direction of Vimercate, until to its end at Usmate.
Take the road SS 36 Milano-Lecco-Colico, and then from
Colico the SS 38 in the direction of Morbegno-SondrioTirano up to Bormio.
From the West, Via Milan: Coming along the motorway
Milano-Varese, once in Milan, take the motorway MilanoVenezia (Venice) into the direction of Venice until the exit
Sesto San Giovanni. Now follow the signs for Lecco, go
onto the road SS 36 Milano-Lecco-Colico, and from
Colico the SS 38 in the direction of Morbegno-SondrioTirano up to Bormio
From the North, Via Switzerland passing by Tirano:
Bernina Pass (2323 m). Please pay attention to weather
forecasts
From the North, Via Switzerland passing through Livigno
Coming from Zernez, in the Swiss Engadin, go through
the Tunnel Passo del Gallo. It is open all year round,
during the daytime only. Pay toll.

Every day 8 trains leave from Milan main station to reach
Tirano (the closest train station).
The travel lasts more or less two hours and a half. Right
in front of the train station you can catch a bus for
Bormio. There is usually one after every train.
The total amount from Milan to Bormio is of 20,00€ per
