The tree is the symbol of life, symbol of stability, with its roots rooted
to the ground and the branches reaching to the sky. Refuge in a tree
house, far away from everyone, "hidden" in a protected nest and
warm in the outdoors has always been the favorite game of children, but it is also the dream of many adults. The tree houses have
an old tradition: our ancestors built them to protect themselves
from wild animals, the ancient Romans used them to adorn the garden of their villas, created in the Middle Ages the little monks "hermitages" on the plants near the monasteries, in Renaissance houses on the trees in the gardens of the Medici inspired art and literature, while in the romantic era these lodges characterized the
English parks. However, compared to other European countries,
today in Italy this kind of construction are quite rare, but in South
Tyrol, in the municipality of Sesto, the dream of living in the branches can come true. In the beautiful landscape of the Dolomites - recognized by UNESCO World Heritage Site - you can experience the
thrill of staying in a tree house in a luxury hotel complex. The
Caravan Park Sexten - Mountain Resort Patzenfeld is a unique holiday destination structure in Europe, managed, for almost forty
years, from Happacher family. In addition to the wide camping
area, equipped with pitches for campers, the resort also include hotels, apartments and chalets to stay, three restaurants, spa, pools,
gym, shops and eventually even four cabins built in the trees, unusual shelters with spectacular view of the Sesto Sundial. Built among
pine trees - about four meters above the ground - and designed for
just two people, these beautiful "nests" are exclusive homes of thir-

L’albero è il simbolo della vita, emblema di stabilità, con le sue radici
radicate al suolo e i rami protesi verso il cielo. Rifugiarsi in una casetta
sull’albero, lontani da tutti, "nascosti" in un nido protetto e accogliente
in mezzo alla natura è sempre stato il gioco preferito dei bambini, ma
resta anche il sogno di molti adulti. Le case sugli alberi hanno un’antica
tradizione: i nostri antenati le costruivano per proteggersi dagli animali
feroci, gli antichi Romani le usavano per abbellire i parchi delle loro ville,
nel Medioevo i monaci creavano piccoli "eremi" sulle piante vicino ai
monasteri, nel Rinascimento le case sugli alberi nei giardini dei Medici
ispiravano arte e letteratura, mentre in epoca romantica queste casette
caratterizzavano i parchi inglesi. Tuttavia, rispetto agli altri paesi europei,
oggi in Italia questo tipo di costruzioni sono piuttosto rare, ma in Alto
Adige, nel comune di Sesto Pusteria, il sogno di vivere tra i rami può
avverarsi.
Nello splendido paesaggio delle Dolomiti - riconosciute dall’Unesco
Patrimonio mondiale dell’umanità - è possibile vivere l’emozione di
soggiornare in una casa sugli alberi all’interno di un lussuoso complesso
ricettivo. Il Caravan Park Sexten - Mountain Resort Patzenfeld è una
struttura di villeggiatura unica in tutta Europa, gestita, da quasi quarant’anni, dalla famiglia Happacher. Oltre alla vasta zona campeggio, con attrezzate piazzole per i camper, il resort comprende anche hotel, appartamenti e chalet dove soggiornare, tre ristoranti, centro benessere,
piscine, palestra, negozi e infine anche quattro casette costruite sugli alberi, insoliti rifugi con una spettacolare vista sulla Meridiana di Sesto.
Costruiti tra i pini - a circa quattro metri di altezza dal suolo - e concepiti per solo due persone, questi splendidi "nidi" sono esclusive abitazioni
di trentacinque metri quadrati, moderne strutture di design realizzate
con materiali ecologici secondo i dettami della bioarchitettura. Un equilibrio perfetto tra la tradizione del legno e l’innovazione tecnologica.
Andreas Happacher, titolare del Caravan Park Sexten, ci ha illustrato le
caratteristiche dei loro "rifugi sospesi" ai piedi delle Dolomiti.
Quando sono nate le vostre case sugli alberi?
La nostra prima casa sull’albero è nata nel 2008.
Sono tutte uguali oppure differiscono tra loro?
A differenziarle è lo stile. La prima casetta è più "vintage", ha un aspetto rustico e tradizionale, mentre le altre tre, più recenti, hanno un design più moderno e di tendenza. Sono invece gli stessi i servizi offerti.
Tutte le case sugli alberi sono dotate di soggiorno con televisore a
schermo piatto, una piccola ma attrezzata cucina e una stanza da bagno
dedicata al relax con doccia sensoriale, vasca con idromassaggio
Whirlpool e una sauna. Ogni casetta offre inoltre un cesto di frutta e
champagne di benvenuto.
Che tipo di clientela attraggono le case sugli alberi?
Il target delle casette sono coppie che desiderano passare momenti
unici. Per personalizzare l’offerta e soddisfare ogni esigenza sono
disponibili cinque diversi pacchetti: "Relax", con prima colazione al ristorante Patzenfeld e accesso alla piscina coperta; "Wellness", con trattamenti benessere per la coppia e accesso alla Spa; "Gourmet", per chi
vuole gustare i piatti tipici altoatesini, con menù e vini del ristorante;
"Attivo", per gli amanti dello sport e dell’attività fisica, con noleggio di
mountain bike o racchette da neve; e infine "Romantico", ideale per la

When your tree houses are born?
Our first treehouse was born in 2008.
They are all the same or differ from one another?
Differentiates them is the style. The first house is more "vintage," he
has a rustic and traditional look, while the other three, the most recent, have a more modern design and trendy. They are the same as
the services offered. All tree houses are equipped with living room
with a flat-screen TV, a small but fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom dedicated to relaxation with a sensory shower, jacuzzi
