Ismail Haznedar 2015 JCI President JCI (JUNIOR CHAMBER INTERNATIONAL), INC. Ismail Haznedar, nominated by JCI Turkey, was elected 2015 JCI (Junior Chamber International) President at the 2014 JCI World Congress in Leipzig, Germany. Born September 18, 1976, in Tetovo, Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Ismail Haznedar holds a bachelor’s degree in Management, master’s degree in Marketing, and continues his studies for a PhD in Organizational Development. Ismail Haznedar is an entrepreneur, business strategist and Certified Management Consultant (CMC), with a successful professional experience in start-up, business modeling and value creation process for projects. He works as managing director of a Strategic Consulting Company and supports new start-ups with a network as a Business Angel Investor. Ismail Haznedar serves as Honorary President of the Strategic Planning Society (SPS) in Turkey as a Fellow Member of SPS. He resides in Istanbul, Turkey, with his wife Cigdem, and their daughter Nehir and son Kaan. Ismail Haznedar joined the Local Organization of JCI Avrasya (Eurasia) in 2005. He became Local President in 2008 and received Most Outstanding Turkish Local President of the Year. He served as JCI Turkey National President in 2010 when he received Special Recognition from the JCI President at the 2010 JCI World Congress in Osaka, Japan. At the international level, Ismail served as JCI Vice President in 2011, UN Affairs Commissioner in 2012, 2013 Chief Executive Assistant to the President (with an award from the President as Leader of the Most Outstanding Team of Appointees) and 2014 Executive Vice President (with an award from the President as Most Outstanding Executive Vice President) where he served as Chairperson of the JCI Area Conference in Valletta, Malta. He has attended thirteen JCI Area Conferences, seven JCI World Congresses and four JCI Global Partnership Summits. He has been honored as JCI Senator No. 69159 and is a Phil Pugsley Patron of the JCI Foundation. He speaks English and Turkish. Ismail Haznedar’s vision for his year as JCI President is to capitalize on the momentum created as JCI celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the JCI Movement and use this opportunity as a bridge between the successful impact created in the past 100 years and the bright potential future of JCI in the next century. His goals are to see an increased commitment amongst young people to active citizenship in communities around the world, spread greater impact to communities through increased action and connection of members and ensure that JCI Active Citizen Framework projects care for and align with local community needs. As JCI President, Ismail Haznedar will motivate and engage JCI members around the world to take collective action in their communities which will result in lasting positive changes. He believes the real strength of JCI is its Local Organization where the members develop their skills, engage in their communities, unite all sectors of the society and create sustainable impact.
