LIVIO SENIGALLIESI
Nato a Monza nel 1956, Senigalliesi è giornalista dall'81 e lavora da più di
20 anni come reporter di guerra per le maggiori testate nazionali ed estere
Ha iniziato la carriera di foto-giornalista nei primi anni '80 dedicandosi ai
grandi temi della realtà italiana: le lotte operaie e studentesche,
l'immigrazione, l'emarginazione, i problemi del sud, la lotta alla mafia. La
passione per la fotografia vissuta come strumento di testimonianza e di
attenzione agli eventi storici hanno portato Livio Senigalliesi in molti punti
critici dello scenario mondiale. Il Medio Oriente e il Kurdistan durante la
guerra del Golfo; la Berlino della divisione e dei giorni della riunificazione;
Mosca durante i giorni che sancirono la fine dell'Unione Sovietica; l'assedio
di Sarajevo e il conflitto nell'ex Jugoslavia. Senigalliesi lavora per l'UNHCR.
per la cooperazione italiana e per numerose ONG italiane e straniere,
documentando le conseguenze dei conflitti e la sofferenza delle
popolazioni così come i progetti per la ricostruzione. Livio Senigalliesi è uno
dei pochissimi
fotogiornalisti di livello internazionale ad aver attraversato, dal 1991 ad oggi, tutte le guerre balcaniche. I
drammatici reportage dal Kosovo, frutto di una lunga e rischiosa permanenza nella tormentata regione
balcanica , sono valsi all'autore la nomination per il prestigioso "bajeux war
correspondent award 1998". Ha pubblicato centinaia di reportage sui più importanti giornali italiani e
stranieri. Il notevole archivio fotografico raccolto gli è valso anche il Premio Russo 2007 per il reportage di
guerra. Dal 2009 si occupa di un progetto a lungo termine nel nord del Congo. nella provincia dell'Ituri.

PHOTOGRAPY THEATRE AND CULTURE
1996 - He worked as a stage-photographer in the first
Bosnian movie shot in Sarajevo during the post war
period, "Perfect Circle" by the director Ademir Kenovic,
presented at Cannes Film Festival in 1997.
Since 2000 his exhibition "Beyond the wall" has travelled with the italian theatre group 'Scarlattine'. His
pictures become a source of inspiration for young actors who dramatised and put on stage the present
tragedies causing strong emotional response in a large audience of different age and taking part in many
