MUSEUM OF THE ART AND HISTORY OF MINING LE COLLINE METALLIFERE - MASSA MARITTIMA Palazzetto delle Armi, Piazza delle Armi - Massa Marittima the museum The exhibition is divided into four rooms with excellent educational panels. On display are objects and tools used by miners in the area (e.g. lunch-baskets, miner's lamps, helmets, shoes), measurement tools for mine construction and a rich collection of minerals from the territory of Massa, as well as many other objects, tools and scale-models related to the life in the mines and a wooden reconstruction of an extraction well. This is an educational museum that, together with that of the Mining Museum, illustrates a particularly important aspect of the history of Massa Marittima and life in the Massa region.
