The exhibition is divided into four rooms with excellent educational panels. On display are objects
and tools used by miners in the area (e.g. lunch-baskets, miner's lamps, helmets, shoes),
measurement tools for mine construction and a rich collection of minerals from the territory of
Massa, as well as many other objects, tools and scale-models related to the life in the mines and a
wooden reconstruction of an extraction well. This is an educational museum that, together with that
of the Mining Museum, illustrates a particularly important aspect of the history of Massa Marittima
and life in the Massa region. Also on offer are guided tours and various educational activities.

A visit to the Mining Art and History Museum is included in the module of educational activities
entitled "The Miner", provided by the Colline Metallifere Cooperative, which runs the Massa
Marittima museums, for local schools (consult the programme on the website
