1- FOREWORD
These Regulations have been edited and signed by Sabato Cerullo, owner and manager of
Aviosuperficie del Sole. This facility is located in via Mar Ionio, s.n.c.,Pontecagnano
Faiano(Salerno).
The Regulations set the activities authorised by Enac within Aviosuperficie according to the
norms in force: (Codice della Navigazione.L. 2 aprile 1968 n. 518 “Liberalisation of the usage of
landing areas”. D.M. 27 dicembre 1971 Enforcement norm for the Law L. 2 aprile 1968 n. 518,

Aviosuperficie is located in the Municipality of Pontecagnano Faiano, 5 miles
south-east from the city of Salerno along the coastal route connecting Salerno to
Paestum; 1/2 mile south-east of the Picentino river nearby its estuary.
It is exactly situated by these geographical coordinates:

4.1- How to reach Aviosuperficie
● Aircraft: check paragraph 7
● Car: Exit Pontecagnano on A3 (200m), head straight (700m), head towards
Tangenziale di Salerno (2,9km); Take the Exit “Zona Industriale” then head
on Via Roberto Wenner (300m); at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto
Via Roberto Wenner(1,4 km); at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Via
Salvador Allende(700m); Aviosuperficie will be on the left, right after the
bridge on the estuary of Picentino(650 m).
● Train: 14 km away from Salerno Train Station. Reachable via public
transport: Bus CSTP no. 24 (SALERNO STAZIONE FS – CAMPOLONGO)
or Taxi (radiotaxi tel.089 757575)
● Boat: Reachable from Marina D’Arechi Touristic Port, via Bus CSTP no. 24

5.2- Prevailing wind: South; South-west.
5.3- Landing Field: Oriented 040°/220°, it is 18 mt. large. It is limited by white
safety cones; white safety stripes on the sides 10 mt. each, framed by an orange
hawser 420 mt. in length; grass on the rest of the ground.
5.4- Loop Lines: the entrance and the exit to the parking areas are surrounded by
yellow pylons.
5.5- Parking Areas: Parking for less than 12 hours is available in the A-apron
between the Tower and the Windsock. Parking for longer than 12 hours is
available in the B-apron, on the North-West side.
5.6- Restrictions: Flying over the beach below 300mt in high is only allowed
during the take-off or landing.

Non-advanced Ultralight Sport Aircrafts can land or take-off from Aviosuperficie
ONLY prior to the launch of “Salerno corridor” for entering and exiting ATZ.
(check paragraph 7 and 7.5). The Windsock is situated south.east of the runway.
5.7- Obstructions: Lamposts at the end of the runway 040°.
Electric trellises on both sides of the runway 220°.
5.8- Clubhouse: cafè, planning room, seminar room, toilet.
5.9- Refuelling: Available on reservation.
5.10- Services and Fares (VAT 22%)
Services available upon reservation. They need to be booked via telephone (+39 333
8990715) AND via e-mail at [email protected] Payment methods: bank
transfer or cash.

6. ENTRANCE TO AVIOSUPERFICIE
Aviosuperfice del Sole offers video surveillance 24/7 for both incoming and
outgoing aircrafts.
The usage of Aviosuperficie is limited to intracommunitary aviation; it is
exclusively and peremptorily subject to the authorisation of the Manager
(art.3, comma 3 del d.m.1 febbraio 2006) who can unquestionably revoke it at
any time (PPR- Prior permission request).
It is not allowed to access Aviosuperficie with aircrafts unprovided with radio
devices, aviation certificate, identification number, aircraft insurance; access
is also not allowed to pilots who are unprovided with aviation
licence/certification/identification number and valid ID.
The above mentioned documents will be checked by the manager or chief
representative officer or delegates. In Aviosuperficie and “Salerno corridor”
sky diving is not allowed, neither are acrobatic operations.

Accessing Aviosuberficie binds every consumer to accept and follow all the norms
mentioned in these regulations.
Furthermore, the Owner and Manager are not to be considered responsible of
any damage. This applies to each aircraft, car, bike, camper, roulette stationed
or hangared on the Aviosuperficie premises. (check paragraph 5.10)
The usage of Aviosuperficie in cases of emergency will have to be notified and
motivated to the Owner or Managers. Should this clause be not respected, the
Managers will push charges according to art.633 of Codice Penale concerning
arbitrary invasion of private premises.
Areas delimited by orange ropes are destined to the parking or transit of aircraft.
Their access is strictly forbidden to the community.
Access is also forbidden during times of engine starting or taxying.
Access to Aviosuperficie is granted to:
● Aviosuperficie partners provided of verifiable certificates.
● Managers of Services.
● Owners and/or end-users of aircrafts stationed or hangared in
Aviosuperficie.
● Eli Soccorso staff.
● Pilots and/or partners/helpers from other airports or aviation facilities.
● Maintenance and cleaning staff authorised by the Owner and Managers.
Civilians will be allowed to access Aviosuperficie under these circumstances only:
● if they are hosts to Aviosuperficie partners. As such, they are subject to
follow the norms stated in these regulations and indictable in case of
violation of such norms.
● in case of events and conventions in Aviosuperficie. They will be hosted only
within security areas which will be adequately marked and circumscribed.
● The access to minors will be authorised only in presence of an adult who
will take on blame and indiction in case of norms violation.

Pets and animals which access Aviosuperficie with their owners will have to be
carried on leash.
Cars and bikes must be parked exclusively in the areas dedicated to parking.
Aviosuperficie del Sole is not responsible for the loss or theft of any unattended
baggage in every area of its premises.
Consumers are bound to respect and follow the norms stated in these regulations
granting the Operations Manager the right to intervene, correct and demand
actions and behaviours within the fulfilment of these norms.
The violation of these regulations will cause disqualification to access and use
the premises upon its Managers’ unquestionable judgement.
6.1- Opening hours
Aviosuperficie:every working day; sundays or holidays (except mondays) from
dawn to sunset.
Offices:every working day (except mondays) from 09am to 1pm and from 3pm to
6.30pm.
Aviosuperficie may be subject to closing upon unquestionable decision of the
Managers due to maintenance, impraticable weather conditions or other causes.
7- FLIGHT PROCEDURES
7.1- Landing Authorisation
Landing authorisation must be requested at the latest 60’ prior to the scheduled
landing (ETA) via SMS at +39 333 8990715 stating:
● name of pilot and co-pilot/passenger/s if present;
● kind of aircraft;
● aircraft registration number;
● number of passengers and pilots.
● scheduled time of arrival (ETA) and origin of the flight;
● kind of flight (Av.Gen./basic Ultralight Sport VehicleS/ advanced
Ultralight Sport Vehicles/ Civil Protection/ Health Service/ Military/
School)
● Acceptance of Terms&Conditions stated in these regulations;

● requested services;
If granted, the authorisation will be immediately notified via SMS.
In compliance with the ENAC/ENAV norms, the approaching to Aviosuperficie
must happen within the respect of instances stated in paragraphs 7.3 and 7.4
for General Aviation (Av. Gen.) aircrafts or Advanced Ultralight Sport Vehicles
paragraph 7.5 intend concerns Non-advanced Ultralight Sport Aircrafts.
7.2 T/B/T Communications with Aviosuperficie and Salerno AFIU
T/B/T communications can be transmitted on a 130.00 Mhz frequency.
Aviosuperficie is located in the ATZ of Aeroporto Salerno-Pontecagnano, therefore
every aircraft within the ATZ must get in contact with Salerno-Pontecagnano
AFIS on 119.175 Mhz before entering the ATZ or, on ground, before taking-off to
get information on air-traffic.
In case of impediment in contacting Salerno AFIU on frequency, it is possible to
call +39 0828 5474013 oppure al +39 0828 5474002 (conversations are registred).

7.3- General Aviation and advanced Ultralight Sport Vehicle
The air-traffic for General Aviation and Advanced Ultralight Sport Vehicles is
located on the south-east side of the runway at 1000 FT AGL.
The air-traffic for helicopters and gyrocopters is located on the south-east side of
the runway at500 FT AGL.

7.4- Restrictions
1. Before flying at a 20 NM distance from Salerno-Pontecagnano
aerodrome(40°37’17”N 14°54’51”E o dal PTC VOR/DME) every aircraft must
contact Salerno AFIU on 119.175 MHZ frequency.
2. No VFR traffic is authorised within 20 NM from Salerno Pontecagnano
aerodrome, when an IFR flight is taxying, taking off, approaching or flying
over.
The entrances and holding areas to Salerno Pontecagnano ATZ are the following:
a) planes:
-from North and East: Eboli
- from South and West: PONTE BARIZZO
- Note: West incoming aircrafts must avoid R24 area.
b) helicopters:
- from North and East: GIFFONI
-from South and West: 1 NM N SALERNO
A warrant from Capitaneria di Porto di Salerno has forbidden flying over the
coastal ares beneath 300 mt with exceptions during times of taking-off or landing
in Aviosuperficie.

7.5- Non-advanced Ultralight Sport Vehicles
Except in cases of dispensation granted by ENAC, DPR 9.7.2010, n.133, art.9, c.2
forbids non-advanced Ultralight Sport Vehicles in Salerno Pontecagnano ATZ.
“Salerno Corridor”, instead, under a dispensation by ENAC authorises nonadvanced Ultralight Sport Vehicles circulation.
Therefore, these aircrafts must approach before landing or head towards when
taking off exclusively FROM Salerno Pontecagnano ATZ accordingly to the

green route signed on the map below ((radial 360° from the runway to vertical
Autostrada A3(coordinates 40°41’09,86N 14°50’59,39 E) superior limit 500 FT
AGL. Even under these circumstances, to approach or leave Salerno Pontecagnano
ATZ non-advanced Ultralight Sport Vehicles must be authorised by
Aviosuperficie (check par. 7.1).
Non-advanced Ultralight Sport Vehicle air-traffic is situated on the north-west
side of the runway (between Picentino river and the runway) 500 FT AGL.
Communications to Aviosuperficie del Sole must be transmitted on 130.00 Mhz
frequency when:
a) approaching “Salerno Corridor”, immediately before entering the area.
b) taking-off, immediately after leaving “Salerno Corridor” area.
It is severely forbidden to inane other air-traffic areas of Salerno
Pontecagnano ATZ.
A warrant from Capitaneria di Porto di Salerno has forbidden flying over the
coastal ares beneath 300 mt with exceptions during times of taking-off or landing
in Aviosuperficie.

8- PROCEDURES FOR STATIONED AIRCRAFTS
After every aircraft has landed, the runway must be vacated.

Aviosuperficie is provided with parking areas in the south-east area (12hrs
parking) and in the north-west area ( longer than 12hrs parking). These areas are
easily reachable following the yellow signs of the runway. Parking or stalling in
the side safety areas of the runway is forbidden.
As stated in art.5 del D.L. from Ministero dei Trasporti enforcement of Law 2
aprile 1968, n°518, after landing or prior to taxying for the take-off the pilot must
go to the INFOPOINT bureau situated at the entrance of the hangar to fill out the
Records of Motion with the following information:
name of pilot and co-pilot/passenger/s if present;
kind of aircraft;
aircraft registration number;
number of passengers and pilots.
scheduled time of departure and destination of the flight;
kind of flight (Av.Gen./basic Ultralight Sport Vehicles / advanced
Ultralight Sport Vehicles/ Civil Protection/ Health Service/ Military/
School)

The Administration Bureau and the Café are situated in the adjoint building to the
Hangar.
Within the apron and inside the hangar the following activities are strictly
forbidden:
● smoking and opening flames;
● leaving electric devices unattended;
● storing and pouring fuels;
● starting engines;
● leaving and entring the hangar with power on.
It is also prohibited:
● Starting the engine from outside the cabin and/or leaving the aircraft
unattended while the engine heats up;
● starting an engine without a pilot with valid certification in his cabin.
Each aircraft must be parked exclusively within the indicated areas, far from
motion areas, with engines off, disconnected magnets and then grounded.

Maintenance, check or assembly must happen far from the runway.
Pilots must escort and assist their passengers during boarding and
disembarkation.
Boarding ad disembarkation must happen with engines off.
It is severely forbidden to start the engines while civilians are within the parking
or motion areas.
The Managers are not responsible of every damage caused by incorrect usage of
Aviosuperficie. This applies as well to: the evaluation of the suitability of the
runway area for landing and taking off in relation to the obstructions; to the
dimensions of the runway; to the speed and direction of the winds and features of
the aircrafts.
8.1- Regulations for refuelling
Refuelling operations must happen within the prescribed and distinctly marked
areas of Aviosuperficie, even when the fuel has not been furnished by our facility.
No one must be on-board during refuelling operations.
Refuelling can happen only in presence of Aviosuperficie operation managers
and/or staff.
Before the operation, a member of the staff will make sure the aircraft is grounded.
Before the operation, a member of the staff will make sure that one or more fireextinguishers of adequate capacity are promptly available.
Smoking and/or opening flames is severely prohibited within 30 mt. from the
refuelling area.
Using fuel tanks against regulations is strictly prohibited.
Refuelling without fuel filters is strictly prohibited.
Remains in the fuel filters can be removed exclusively in the appropriate
containers in the refuelling area.
It is severely prohibited to pour on the ground the smallest amount of fuel or
lubricant.
It is forbidden to park within the refuelling areas.
