Ouranos is a Greek word meaning the "sky" or
"heaven." And, thus, it's an apt name for the third
yacht in the 45-metre series that demonstrates a
growth in quality at Giovanni Costantino's yard

45. Quello di Ouranos è stato però anche il varo dello yacht numero nove da quando, nel 2009, Costantino ha
rilevato lo storico cantiere Tecnomar. Iniziativa che ha costituito la prima tappa della costruzione di un
Gruppo che, dopo Admiral, all’inizio del 2013 ha acquisito i Nuovi Cantieri Apuania di Viareggio realizzando
così The Italian Sea Group, che riunisce Admiral Tecnomar, Nca, hub dedicato alle costruzioni navali, e Nca
Refit. Ouranos, che si sviluppa su tre ponti più il sundeck, è interamente il risultato del lavoro del Centro Stile
di Admiral Tecnomar che firma tutti gli aspetti stilistici di questo yacht. A cominciare dal layout esterno con
linee classiche, solide e, al tempo stesso, moderne. Un insieme che, grazie anche all’andamento della falchetta
e alle lunghe finestrature sul main deck e sul ponte superiore, slancia ulteriormente questo yacht di 45 metri.

Ouranos is also the ninth yacht to
splash since Costantino took over
the historic Tecnomar yard in 2009 in
what was the first step towards the
establishment of a group, The Italian
Sea Group. Ouranos has three decks
and a sun deck and was styled
wholly in-house by the Admiral
Tecnomar Styling centre. Starting,
of course, with the exterior which is
clothed in solid, classic yet modern
lines which are lent an extra
sleekness by the dark windows that
band both the 45-metre’s main and
upper decks. The design imperative
was to create uncommonly
expansive spaces where guests
could enjoy plenty of contact with
the sea. The result is that the
sundeck has a Jacuzzi surrounded by
an integrated sun pad and bar. The

the yard’s designers have conjured
up a string of sophisticated yet

Per gli esterni l’imperativo del Centro Stile è stato realizzare ampi spazi per vivere a contatto con il mare. Così
il sundeck è arredato con una Jacuzzi contornata da un prendisole a cui si aggiunge uno spazio bar. Il tema
"spazio" prosegue nelle grandi terrazze di poppa degli altri ponti che prevedono un arredamento composto da
tavoli, divani e sono dotate di tv a led a scomparsa. Infine, ecco la piattaforma di poppa con la beach area e il
divano a prua della plancia sul ponte superiore. Per gli interni, in stretta collaborazione con l’armatore, i
designer del cantiere hanno creato una serie di ambienti ricercati, ma sempre accoglienti e facilmente vivibili.
Come l’open space sul main deck che, dall’ingresso dalla veranda di poppa, si sviluppa con la zona soggiorno,
arredata con quattro divani serviti da bassi tavolini in acciaio inox e piani in vetro bronzato. Segue, con la
separazione di un basso buffet che accoglie lo schermo a scomparsa della tv, la zona pranzo. Anche qui acciaio
inox e vetro bronzato per il tavolo da 12 persone. La cucina sulla sinistra e il disimpegno con la scala sulla
dritta precedono, sempre sul main deck, la zona armatoriale a tutto baglio. La suite è composta da una
palestra, dallo studio, quindi una cabina armadio, la sala da bagno con doppi lavandini e ampia zona doccia.

sofas and stainless steel coffee
tables with bronzed glass tops. A
low buffet unit containing the TV
separates this from the dining room.
Here we find more stainless steel
and bronzed glass in the 12-seater
table. Next, the galley is to port with
the stairs to starboard. These are
followed forward by the full-beam
owner’s quarters. The suite
comprises a gym, office, walk-in
closet, bathroom with twin hand
basins and a large shower area. In
the cabin itself, the wall behind the
king-size bed is trimmed with padded
white leather panels whose softness
serves as a counterpoint to the
smooth, gleaming dark brown wood
panelling in front of the bed which

particolare sistema di illuminazione. Il décor dell’armatoriale si ripete nelle cabine degli ospiti: una Vip, due
cabine matrimoniali e due doppie con un terzo letto pullman. Una serie di ambienti all’insegna della massima
tranquillità, come per altro tutto lo yacht, grazie un poderoso sistema integrato di insonorizzazione. Al ponte
inferiore si trovano poi le quattro cabine e gli alloggi dell’equipaggio, mentre all’upper deck l’area lounge, oltre
alla grande terrazza all’aperto, comprende uno spazio bar e un living con divani, tavoli da gioco, librerie e
attrezzature per l’home video; sempre con l’arredo e il décor che riprendono i temi presentati al main deck. La
cabina del comandante e la plancia concludono il ponte superiore. Motorizzato con due Mtu da 3650 cv,
Ouranos raggiunge i 29 nodi di velocità massima e 25 di crociera con, dato decisamente interessante per uno
yacht di queste dimensioni, un consumo di 260 litri/ora a 13 nodi. Un risultato che si aggiunge alle tante
dimostrazioni di qualità, estetiche, tecniche e marine, del terzo Nadara 45.

sits on a pristine white carpet. The
white marble in the bathroom works
brilliantly with the unusual lighting
too. The décor in the guest cabins on
the lower deck runs along very
similar lines: there’s a VIP, two
double cabins and two twins with a
third Pullman berth each. Here, as

throughout the entire yacht, an
atmosphere of serene tranquillity
reigns supreme, thanks in large part
to a superbly efficient soundproofing
system. Down on the lower deck are
the four guest staterooms and the
crew quarters, while the upper deck
has not just a large al fresco terrace
but a saloon with a bar, sofas, games
tables, bookcases and a home
entertainment system. Once again
the décor follows the same lines as
on the main deck. The captain’s cabin
and bridge are the last two areas on
the upper deck. Powered by twin
3,650 hp MTUs, Ouranos delivers a
very respectable 29 knots at full
throttle and a cruising speed of 25
knots. Interesting, she is also very
easy on fuel at 13 knots, drinking
just 260 litres an hour. Another plus
to add to the many admirable
aesthetic, technical and seafaring
qualities of the third Nadara 45.
