– Study of dentinal hypersensitivity and development of desensitizing toothpaste.
– Use of dental lasers with different wavelengths.
– Oral manifestations of Graft versus Host Disease in the paediatric patient.

– Development of protocols for the oral health of the beta-thalassemic patient undergoing
hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation.
– Development of protocols for the diagnosis and oral health of the paediatric patient with

– Study of the activity of the endocannabinoid system in the periodontal tissue.
PARTICIPATION IN RESEARCH
– In 2005 he was involved in the internal management and clinical testing of patients in the
clinical trial “Clinical study on the efficacy of the toothpaste Colgate Sensitive Multi Protection
containing Potassium Citrate at 5.5%, compared to the toothpaste Sensodyne Total Care F in
the reduction of hypersensitivity. A four-week clinical study”, at the Azienda Ospedaliera
Universitaria “Policlinico Tor Vergata” hospital in Rome, granted by Colgate-Palmolive company,
Piscataway, New Jersey, US.
– In 2006 he was involved in the internal management and clinical testing of patients in the
clinical trial “Clinical study on the efficacy of the toothpaste Colgate Sensitive containing 5%
arginine-bicarbonate compared to the toothpaste Colgate Fluoride in the reduction of
hypersensitivity. A two-week clinical study”, at the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria “Policlinico
Tor Vergata” hospital in Rome, funded by Colgate-Palmolive company, Piscataway, New Jersey,
US.
– In 2007 he was involved in the internal management and clinical testing of patients in the
clinical trial “Clinical study on the efficacy of Plax Superior Sensitive mouthwash containing
3.21% potassium citrate, compared to a placebo, in the reduction of hypersensitivity. An eightweek clinical study”, at the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria “Policlinico Tor Vergata” hospital
in Rome, funded by Colgate-Palmolive company, Piscataway, New Jersey, US.
