Set of two indoor portable floor backstop units with manual elevation. Its special design allows for two different positions: position for playing
basketball and folded position for storage and transport.
It has been designed following official FIBA rules and it has been certified for level 1 (FIBA competitions). MONDOCUP has been evaluated
and certified by I.B.V. (Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia) following the requirements of EN 1270 regulation.
Designed with the latest CAD technology and finite elements analysis to calculate the impact and vibration produced by playing basketball. It is
manufactured of a steel structural tube.
MONDOCUP main structure consists of a support arm, two vertical posts and a base.
The arm is manufactured of a square section tube which is reinforced. It has a horizontal part and an angled part. The upper part has a rail, to
which the board tie-rod is secured and where the ball possession scoreboard support can be located. The arm can be manufactured in two
different arm lenghts, depending on the customer’s preference: 3,25, 2,52 m or 2,25 m.
The inverted T-shaped posts are reinforced by two side diagonal posts. These posts provide the stand with the necessary rigidity and stability.
MONDOCUP can be folded or unfolded by manually operating the rear post. This process is supported by a gas piston which reduces the
effort required in both operations.
It has a safety bar which goes from the front post to the arm, which is used to immobilise the unit and prevent the stand from folding or moving
during play time.
MONDOCUP have protective covers for the arm, the post and the base.
The basket hoop meets FIBA regulations and is characterised by the absence of hooks for attaching the net which increases player safety
because at no time is there an opening more than 8 mm.
The base has a total of 4 retracting wheels and a system of polyurethane feet, allowing the basket to stand perfectly firmly to the floor in the
playing position and also to make it quick and easy to move the folded basket around.
The backstop unit can be easily adapted to mount any glass or acrylic board from the MONDO range. The vertical and horizontal position of
the backboard can be adjusted and fixed simply to ensure it is correctly positioned during play. The board folds down to facilitate storage of the
basket.
The basket has an upholstered shroud in the same colour as the covers so that the structure is hidden from view.
All the couplings and joints are made of steel and have undergone a chemical zinc-coating treatment. The product is painted with polyester
powder paint which is applied after a degreasing treatment using a pressurised phosphate bath and cured in an oven at 200ºC.
Additional counterweights can be added to the base to ensure the maximum stability of the basket. These counterweights can be removed to

make it easier to move the basket when nobody is playing. However, the use of these counterweights does not mean that you do not have to
anchor the basket to the floor when it is in the playing position. This is the only way to be completely sure that it is safe from toppling over.
