winPenPack è un progetto gratuito nato nel 2005 che ha come scopo la ricerca e lo sviluppo del software portabile. E' coordinato e diretto da
un Team di sviluppo coadiuvato da una community di utenti e collaboratori che forniscono la propria opera gratuitamente. Accoglie pertanto
documenti, testi, idee e materiale protetto dal diritto d'autore e software rilasciato sotto diverse licenze.
Preambolo
Qualsiasi programma viene rilasciato sotto una licenza che ne detta le condizioni d’uso e redistribuzione. I programmi commerciali non
possono essere utilizzati senza che l'utilizzatore acquisti una regolare licenza. Anche per i programmi rilasciati sotto licenza "Freeware per uso
personale" è consentito l'utilizzo gratuito, ma l’utente è tenuto ad acquistare una licenza se intende utilizzarli in ambito diverso da quello
privato. I software rilasciati sotto la licenza "Freeware", invece, possono essere regolarmente e legalmente utilizzati ovunque, anche nelle
scuole e negli uffici. Infine, i programmi rilasciati sotto le licenze open source (GPL, MPL, LGPL, ecc..), sono soggetti solo ad alcune restrizioni
relative alla modifica e redistribuzione. La loro particolarità è che invece di vietare, permettono non solo di usare e copiare, ma anche di
modificare, ampliare, elaborare i software originali.
winPenPack, proprio nell'ottica dello sviluppo e della diffusione del Software Libero portabile, rivolge principalmente il proprio interesse verso
quest'ultima categoria di software, liberamente modificabile e quindi "portabilizzabile". Includendo nelle distribuzioni solo software rilasciato
sotto le licenze open source, di libero utilizzo ovunque (scuole, pubbliche amministrazioni, uffici, ecc..) e da parte di chiunque, i winPenPack
ufficiali rientrano a pieno titolo nella categoria del Software Libero. Tuttavia, dal momento che le licenze open source si differenziano fra loro,
ciascun software è regolato dalla rispettiva licenza. L'ambiente applicativo "winPenPack" nel suo insieme è regolato dalla GNU General Public
License.
Se l'autore di un software incluso nel winPenPack ritenesse che questo sia stato inserito nelle collezioni senza avere i requisiti richiesti di
Software Libero, è pregato di segnalarlo al Team di sviluppo che provvederà prontamente ad apportare gli aggiustamenti del caso.
Definizione di winPenPack
winPenPack è una raccolta di software portabile open source da utilizzare su PenDrive USB o da Hard Disk, senza installazione. E' distribuito
nelle edizioni Flash Essential, Flash 1Gb, Flash School, Flash Web e Flash Game. winPenPack è l'insieme di software, documenti, files di
inizializzazione e files xml perfettamente integrati fra loro in modo da formare un ambiente applicativo omogeneo. Ogni software è regolato
dalla rispettiva licenza, i file di configurazione, xml e di documentazione realizzati dal Team di sviluppo sono rilasciati sotto GNU General Public
License.
Redistribuzione dei winPenPack ufficiali in forma non modificata
E' autorizzata la redistribuzione di winPenPack in forma singola e non modificata, senza limiti e su mirror diversi da quelli ufficiali, a condizione
che venga riconosciuta e specificata chiaramente la paternità dell'opera originale, facendo espressamente riferimento a winPenPack come
fonte ispiratrice (indicando sempre un link a www.winpenpack.com) in pubblicazioni, testate giornalistiche, riviste specializzate, siti web e ogni
altro canale informativo.
Modifiche di winPenPack e redistribuzione in forma modificata
E' lecito modificare la propria copia o copie del programma, o parte di esso, creando perciò un'opera derivata, e copiare o distribuire tali
modifiche a patto che sia indicato chiaramente che si tratta di copie modificate e la data di ogni modifica.
Ogni modifica di winPenPack deve essere effettuata lasciando sempre una nota di copyright originale, appartenente a winPenPack e al suo
autore, ed indicando chiaramente che l'opera derivata si basa su winPenPack, come specificato dalla GNU General Public License. Le opere
derivate non possono includere loghi e marchi ufficiali appartenenti a winPenPack, splash screen e qualsiasi altro riferimento riconducibile a
winPenPack che possa confondere l'utilizzatore, all'infuori delle note di copyright che attribuiscono la paternità dell'opera originale.
E' possibile contattare il Team di sviluppo per instaurare specifiche collaborazioni e creare collezioni personalizzate. Esempi di tali
collaborazioni sono il winPenPack "Web", dedicato a e107Italia, divenuta poi un'edizione ufficiale, il winPenPack "Avvocati", nato dalla
collaborazione con jdavide.it e legati.com e il winPenPack for Studenti.it.

winPenPack is a free project created in 2005, having, as main objective, research and development of portable software. The project is
coordinated and directed by a development Team, assisted by a community of users and contributors, providing their contribute at no charge.
The project collects then documents, scripts, ideas and, generally, material protected by author's rights and software release under different
licenses. The use of softwares and contents present on our website is subject to the acceptance of the license agreement terms and
conditions.
Preamble
Any program is released under a license that defines terms of use and redistribution. Commercial programs cannot be used without
purchasing a regular license. For “Freeware for personal use” programs, free usage is allowed, but users are liable to purchase a license for
other than private uses. Software released under “Freeware” license can be freely and legally used anywhere, also in schools or offices.
Lastly, programs released under open source (GPL, MPL, LGPL, etc.) licenses are liable only to some restrictions, relative to modify and
redistribution. Their main characteristic is that, indeed to forbid, they allow not only to use and copy, but also to modify, upgrade, elaborate
original software versions.
winPenPack, in the viewpoint of development and diffusion of free portable software, orients primarily its interest over open source, freely
modifiable, then "portabilizable" software. Including in collections exclusively software released under the open source licenses, freely usable
anywhere (schools, government administration, offices, etc.) by anyone, all official winPenPacks are definitely Free Software. However, since
open source licenses are different among them, each software is covered by its corresponding license. The applications environment
"winPenPack" as a whole is covered by the GNU General Public License.
If the author of a software included in winPenPack collections considers that this was included in the collections without having the
requirements of Free Software, please report it to Development Team that will make the appropriate adjustments.
winPenPack definition
winPenPack is a collection of open source software that can be copied on USB pendrive or Hard Disk, without installation. WinPenPack Suites
are available in the following editions: Flash Essential, Flash 1Gb, Flash School, Flash Web and Flash Game. winPenPack is an ensemble of
softwares, documents, initialization files and XML files perfectly integrated together for constitute an homogeneous working applications
environment. Every program is subject to its own license; configuration, XML and documentation files created by winPenPack team are
released under GNU General Public License.
Redistribution of official winPenPack under unmodified form
winPenPack under unmodified form can be freely distributed as a single standalone file, without limitations and also on mirrors different from
official ones, only if paternity of the work is clearly mentioned and acknowledged, referring explicitly to winPenPack as inspirer source (adding
always a link to www.winpenpack.com) in publications, newspapers, magazines, web sites and every other information channel.
winPenPack modifications and redistribution under modified form
Permission is granted to anyone to modify a copy or copies of the program or any portion of it, thus forming a derivated work based on the
program, that can be copied and distributed, stating explicitly that is a modified copy and also each modification date.
Every modification of winPenPack must be done leaving original copyright unchanged, belonging to winPenPack and to software author, and
stating explicitly that the derivate work is based on winPenPack, as detailed by GNU General Public License. All derivative works cannot
include logos and trademarks belonging to winPenPack, splash screens and any other reference, leading to winPenPack, that could confuse
the user, with the exception of copyright notes ascribing original work paternity.
Is possible to contact the Development Team for establish particular collaborations and create customized distributions. Examples are
"winPenPack Web", dedicated to e107Italia, becomed an official edition, or "winPenPack Lawyers", originated by collaboration with jdavide.it
and legati.com and winPenPack for Studenti.it.
