Communication, problem-solving, decision making, self-management, and peer relations abilities are
part of Emiliio’s training as a clinical psychoanalyst. Moreover as a founder and director of a
successful consulting company, he has demonstrated professional skills in directing business
activities, and managing strategic planning. As coordinator of European projects he has been
responsible for international teams from 10 to 30 persons.
Multidisciplinary competences (medicine, psychoanalysis, social sciences, ethics) constitute the
background of Emilio’s work. An in-depth knowledge of ethical, social and psychological aspects of
technology policy making forms the basis for his work in specific policy areas (i.e., ICT, security,
public health, privacy and data protection).
Organisational skills and
competences
Since 1994 Emilio Mordini has maturated an extensive experience in coordinating and leading
international and multidisciplinary teams. The context of working in large European framework
programs, gave him the chance to develop the suitable sensitivity to innovate without neglecting
already existing concepts, solutions and values. Since 1992 Emilio Mordini has won 7 international,
multiannual, research contracts as a project coordinator in FP4, 5, 6 and 7; 9 contracts for
