RFID Il dialogo avviene tra due elementi: Initiator e Target. A cui corrispondono due modalità di interfacciamento: Active communication mode ed un Passive communication mode. Nel caso di passive mode, l'initiator è un dispositivo che ha funzione di Reader Emulator (sostituisce il lettore fisico), mentre il target ha funzione di Card Emulator (emula la Smart Card Contactless). Frequenza: La tecnologia basata su Radiofrequenza a 13,56 13 56 Mhz non licenziata quindi esente esente, oltre che da licenze licenze, da particolari restrizioni, ad esclusione di quelle relative alle emissioni elettromagnetiche nella banda di riferimento; quest’ultimo vincolo limita la distanza massima di comunicazione, che varia da nazione a nazione e dal particolare standard di riferimento, compresa comunque entro poche decine di centimetri.
