O
ver the past few decades, the phenomenon
of the “graffiti writing” has reached such a level
of diffusion that every day we see examples of street
furniture surfaces and/or structures covered with
these forms of expression that someone defines as
art.
The graffiti writing phenomenon can be in fact
interpreted as a social, cultural and artistic kind of
manifestation and expression, virtually widespread
all over the world and based on the visualisation of
creativity through images with a political, sports,
amorous or purely visual content appearing on
many different kinds of structure – everywhere, from

raggiunto un livello di diffusione tale per cui quotidianamente ognuno di noi si imbatte o incrocia le più diverse superfici e/o strutture dell’arredo urbano ricoperte
di queste espressioni che alcuni definiscono artistiche.
Il fenomeno del writing, o graffitismo, può di fatto essere
interpretato come manifestazione ed espressione di carattere sociale, culturale ed artistica diffusa praticamente
in ogni parte del mondo, basata sulla visualizzazione della creatività tramite interventi aventi contenuto politico,
sportivo, amoroso o prettamente grafico-visivo sulle più
disparate strutture: su carrozze dei treni e dei metro, su
autobus, panchine, muri, su serrande di negozi e su strut-

the railroad and underground cars to the buses,
benches, walls, shutters of stores and street furniture
structures, it is possible to find graffiti with futuristic
designs, full of colours, performed by the so-called
writers with markers, spray cans and the like, almost
always at night.
Aside from the personal point of view that each of us
can have on this topic, the considerable costs needed
to restore the spoiled surfaces/structures must be
taken into consideration.
Moreover, specific studies pointed out that
the removal of the graffiti leads the writers to look for
new places and/or structures where their art
can last.
In order to meet this need and give a definitive
answer to this problem, Europolveri has developed a
series of new products, resulting from a challenging
work of research, formulations and tests and
including a specific anti-graffiti line from the Durpol
series called “Antigraffiti10”.
The peculiarity of the new “Antigraffiti10” series
is to be found in the particular formulation of these
powder coatings, which allow, when applied,
to remove unwanted words and/or drawings with
a simple coat of special cleaner.

Al di là della visione personale che ognuno di noi può
avere su questo tema, il fenomeno implica dei costi considerevoli per riportare le superfici e/o le strutture deturpate alla situazione originaria.
Inoltre, ricerche e studi appositamente eseguiti, hanno
accertato che l’eliminazione dei graffiti induce i writers a
cercare nuovi spazi e/o strutture ove la loro espressione
artistica possa perdurare.
Per venire incontro a questa esigenza e dare una soluzione definitiva a questo problema Europolveri ha messo a
punto una serie di nuovi prodotti, risultato di un impegnativo lavoro di ricerca, formulazioni e test, tra i quali vi
è una linea specifica antigraffiti della serie Durpol denominata “Antigraffiti10”.
La peculiarità della nuova serie “Antigraffiti10” va ricercata nella particolare formulazione di queste vernici che
permettono, una volta applicate, di togliere scritte e/o
disegni indesiderati, con una semplice passata di pulitori
specifici.

La gamma “Antigraffiti10” racchiude una serie di prodotti la cui natura chimica è un poliuretanico ad elevata reticolazione con maglie particolarmente fitte (rif. fig. 1)
che, proprio in virtù di questa uniformità, impedisce alle
sostanze usate per realizzare il graffito di penetrare nella
vernice e, quindi, lo rendono facilmente asportabile.
Utilizzando pulitori specifici per i diversi tipi di inchiostro
usati per realizzare il graffito (dal pennarello ad inchiostro indelebile nero agli smalti di varia natura) si possono
ripristinare tutte le superfici danneggiate con un’unica
passata.

whose chemical nature is a highly cross-linked
polyurethane (ref. fig. 1) which, because of its
uniformity, prevents the substances used for the
graffiti from penetrating into the coating and
therefore makes it easy to remove them.
By using specific cleaners for each type of ink – from
the black permanent ink marker to various kinds
of lacquers – it is possible to restore all damaged
surfaces with a single coat.

It must be said that the particular cross-linkage gives
to the finished product an outstanding chemical
resistance, but, at the same time, a low elasticity,
making it, for example, unsuitable for coating
components which must undergo a post-moulding.

As previously mentioned, the studies pointed out
that the constant cleaning of graffiti encourages the
writers to look for new places where the expression
of their art can live longer. This makes the use of the
Europolveri “Antigraffiti10” products advisable for all
metal objects placed in public or easy accessible areas.
For example, some of the most significant types of
structures, areas and sectors where the use of these
products can be particularly useful are:
- Underground and railway stations (fig. 2)
- Traffic lights, road signs and street furniture (fig. 3)
- Sports facilities
- Shutters, grilles and windows/doors frames for
public and private use
- Public means of transport
- Equipment and furniture for public parks
- ATM and mailboxes.
Studi effettuati, come in precedenza evidenziato, hanno accertato che la pulizia costante dei graffiti, spinge i
writers a cercare nuovi posti dove l’espressione della loro arte possa vivere più a lungo. Questo rende consigliabile l’utilizzo dei prodotti “Antigraffiti10” di Europolveri
per tutti quei manufatti metallici che si trovano in luoghi
pubblici o di facile accesso.
A titolo di esempio riportiamo alcune delle più significative tipologie di strutture, aree e settori nei quali l’impiego
può risultare particolarmente utile:
- Stazioni della metropolitana o ferroviarie in genere (fig. 2)
- Semafori, segnaletica ed arredi stradali (fig. 3)
- Strutture ed impianti sportivi
- Serrande, griglie e serramenti per uso pubblico e privato
