i sentieri estivi, un passo dopo l’altro,

e puri, per poi scendere in fuoripista.

La Valsesia è famosa anche e soprattutto per il freeride:
decine di chilometri di discese da percorrere in valloni
paradisiaci, lungo pendenze da lasciare senza fiato e con

del Parco Naturale Alta Valsesia lo sciatore esperto, in
cerca di emozioni forti, potrà divertirsi spaziando dalle
altissime cime a tracciati di quote medie, dove l’ambiente
è incontaminato e l’uomo si trova a stretto contatto con
uno scenario naturale ricco di fascino e suggestione.

Il percorso naturalistico con sci
da fondo si sviluppa tra l’abitato di
Mollia e la Fraz. Otra Sesia, con una
lunghezza totale di circa Km 7,3 e un
dislivello di 100 mt..
Lungo il tracciato l’ambiente montano
offre scorci naturalistici particolari:
cascate di ghiaccio, abetaie e dettagli
di grande pregio anche per gli
appassionati di fotografia.

is situated between Mollia and the
hamlet of Otra Sesia, with a total
length of about Km 7.3 and a 100 m.

The mountain environment along the

waterfalls, fir-woods and refined details

La pista è omologata per gare di
livello nazionale, gli anelli di 2, 3 e
5 km si snodano nell’incantevole
paesaggio della Val d’Egua, lungo il
torrente. Il “Centro Sci di Fondo
Carcoforo” offre un servizio di
ristoro, spogliatoi, docce, locale
sciolinature e possibilità di noleggio

A Riva Valdobbia, situato sulla sponda
sinistra del fiume Sesia, con uno

si trova un attrezzato impianto per
lo sci di fondo, con diversi anelli di
varie difficoltà: un tracciato di 10 km,
con anelli concentrici di 3 e 5 km più
un percorso scuola. Il Centro Sci di
Fondo “Marmotta Rosa” è dotato
di bar, ristorante, spogliatoi, docce,
scuola di sci e noleggio.

Per chi deve prendere confidenza
con gli sci, c’è il Wold, piccolo impianto, composto da uno ski-lift e
due piste blu, a 500 mt da Alagna
e fornito di tutti i servizi necessari per una giornata di sport e
relax. Le piste, pur trovandosi a
bassa quota, garantiscono attività
per tutto l’inverno, grazie all’impianto di innevamento artificiale.
Per i più piccini è presente anche
un campetto con tapis-roulant
per muovere i primi passi.
Wold is a small installation dedicated to beginner skiers: situated
at 500 meters from the town of
Alagna, it includes a ski-lift, two
blue slopes and all the services
needed to spend a fun and relaxing sport day. Although its slopes
are at a low altitude, the artificial
snow installation guarantees availability of all activities winter round.
Younger skiers can take their
“first steps” at the practice field

Alpe di Mera
L’Alpe di Mera, stazione sciistica di media valle,
offre uno splendido parco sciistico a tutti gli
appassionati. Le piste da sci spaziano dai 600
metri di quota del rientro ai 1800 mt della
Cima Camparient. Il nucleo abitato si trova a
1500 mt e conserva una pregevole caratteristica: non è transitabile in auto, così da poter
raggiungere sci ai piedi ogni punto dell’Alpe,
con lo sfondo del maestoso massiccio del
Monte Rosa. Le piste, disegnate su morbidi
dorsali, gli spazi adibiti a kinder park e lo snow
park rendono la stazione adatta a tutti, dalle
famiglie agli sciatori più esigenti.

Alpe di Mera is a mid-valley resort offering

The slopes start with the 600 meters of the

Il telemark, o “sci a tallone libero”, è la più antica tecnica di discesa su neve. Si pratica con sci particolari
che lasciano appunto il tallone libero, così da facilitare
le curve. Ritornata in voga negli ultimi anni, si può praticare su tutte le piste dei comprensori sciistici valsesiani, per i principianti anche con l’aiuto dei preparati
maestri di sci. Telemark skiing, aka “free-heels skiing”, is
the most ancient technique of snow skiing. It is practiced with
special skis which leave the heels free so as to ease curving. It came back to fashion in the last few years and is now
practiced along all slopes of the Valsesian ski resorts, also for
beginners followed by professional ski instructors.
A Riva Valdobbia si trova un circuito automobilistico
invernale su neve e ghiaccio. Immerso nella natura e dal
panorama unico sul Monte Rosa, garantisce un fondo
ghiacciato resistente anche nelle ore diurne. Offre gare
entusiasmanti su quattro ruote e corsi di guida sicura
e di guida sportiva, con differenti gradi di approccio.
A fianco si sviluppa il circuito kart di quasi 400 mt,
dove divertirsi tra curve e derapate in tutta sicurezza.
The Ice Rosa Ring is a winter automobile circuit for ice
and snow driving, situated in Riva Valdobbia. Surrounded by
nature and the one-of-a-kind view over Monte Rosa, its unique
position guarantees an iced road bed also during the day. The
thrilling setting of 4-wheels races, it offers safety and sport
driving courses for different levels. Next to the track is a kart
circuit, nearly 400 m., where enthusiasts can have fun with
curves and drifting in total safety.
Per chi non è pratico di sport sulla neve o desidera
trascorrere qualche ora di allegria in compagnia di amici o della propria famiglia, cimentandosi magari in salti
e piroette, Alagna e Carcoforo offrono due piste di
pattinaggio su ghiaccio, che garantiscono divertimento
a grandi e piccini. For snow sport beginners or those who
simply want to spend some fun time with family and friends
trying a few leaps and pirouettes, Alagna and Carcoforo feature two ice skating rinks fun for both kids and grown-ups.
Le passeggiate invernali con le racchette sulla neve
sono il modo più discreto per vivere l’emozione di
un contatto profondo con la natura. In apparenza
semplice, è un’attività che richiede prudenza: è indispensabile informarsi sulle condizioni della neve e del
ghiaccio per evitare rischi di valanghe. Diversi sono gli
itinerari fattibili, tra cui la Valle d’Otro di Alagna, la Val
Vogna di Riva Valdobbia, l’Alpe di Mera di Scopello e
gli splendidi percorsi in Val Sermenza e Val Mastallone.
Winter excursions with snow shoes represent the least invasive way to enjoy an in-depth experience in the wild. At first
this may seem a simple activity, but it actually requires great
caution: one must be informed about snow and ice conditions,
especially to prevent the risk of avalanches. There are many
itineraries available, among which Valle d’Otro of Alagna and
Val Vogna of Riva Valdobbia, Alpe di Mera of Scopello and the
magnificent tracks of Val Sermenza and Val Mastallone.
