- As Responsible for the Nature Conservation and Management sector of Alpi Marittime and
Coordinator of the research activity on birdlife, contact for activity on fish and biodiversity, I acquired
skills and specific technical information in different areas of nature along with a good capacity for
interaction with internal and external, institutional or private stakeholders.
- My office coordinates national or European projects for our area this often falls to me directly,
including establishing contacts with several institutions (municipalities, provinces, region and state) or
universities, associations, professionals or volunteers.
- Project management includes technical, administrative and financial aspects, and the management of
professional staff involved, requiring considerable diplomatic skills, coordination and programming as
well as technical competence.
- The coordination of the International Project reintroduction of Bearded Vulture in the Italian Western
Alps and of the Western Alps Observation Network of Vultures includes the ability to speak in public in
English and French, on specific technical subjects.
- European projects also requires competence in administrative and financial management and the
ability to write reports.
- Good biological and ecological technical expertise, especially related to fauna and flora, are acquired
in the field.
- High capacity to use and manage the main methods of identification and tracking (visual observation,
listening points, transects, sampling, scientific background) of European fauna (birds, mammals,
amphibians and reptiles, fishes) acquired.
- High capacity to implement follow-up and program the time and human resources.
- High capacity to manage a scientific ringing station.
- Good knowledge of the insect fauna of the Southern Alps.
- Good skills in the development of data and drafting scientific articles.
- Good use of the main Microsoft Office softwares: Word, Excel, Access, Outolook, PowerPoint and
Open Office. Good use ESRI GIS software, GPS and QGis, rstudio.
- High ability to interact appropriately with institutions, public and private, to manage groups and to
organize meetings, high ability to interact with the public and to disseminate scientific information.
- Strong capacity in involvement volunteers in the monitoring of wildlife, both for playing in groups and
individually and in coordination of professional mixed groups / volunteers.
- Good skills in producing summaries and reports, both written and oral, and returning condensed
results.
