Eccezionale l’edizione 2006 di Innotrans, sempre più punto di riferimento per il mercato ferroviario internazionale.
Partiamo dai numeri: si registra un secco + 40 % nelle presenze di professionisti del settore in visita
rispetto all’edizione 2004 raggiungendo i 66000 visitatori provenienti da 109 paesi. Per quanto riguarda gli espositori l’incremento è ancora più significativo, +50% sul 2004, con 41 paesi a rappresentare i più alti livelli della tecnologia e dei servizi sul mercato. Insomma, Innotrans si conferma
più che mai “termometro” del mercato mondiale. Come sempre ottima occasione per cementare i
rapporti esistenti, allacciare nuovi contatti e sondare le novità e lo stato del settore, Innotrans è stata
per MSA una vetrina importantissima che ci ha permesso di consolidare l’ immagine di un’ azienda
leader che fa della Qualità una bandiera. Numerose sono state le visite dei clienti storici, sia costruttori di veicoli su rotaia che gestori delle più varie ferrovie europee e non. Con molto piacere abbiamo inoltre accolto le delegazioni di molte altre aziende, tra cui numerose provenienti dal Medio
Oriente, dall’area Asiatica e dal Nord America, che hanno espresso vivo interesse nell’apertura di
nuove collaborazioni con la ns Azienda, che ha ancora una volta dimostrato di essere uno dei protagonisti del settore per il mercato ferroviario internazionale. In attesa di partecipare Innotrans ad
2008, MSA si concentra ora nel raccogliere i frutti di quella che è stata un edizione particolarmente
sorprendente.
The 2006 edition of Innotrans has been really brilliant nd the exhibition proved once again to be a
very important meeting for the international railway market.
Let us start with some data: a good +40% compared to 2004 has been recorder in the trade visitors
number, 66000 from 109 countries in this year edition. Another +50% is the increase compared on
2004 of the exhibitors coming from more than 40 countries and representing the top technology and
service level on the market.
In short, Innotrans confirmed to be a real “thermometer” of the world railway market.
An excellent opportunity for strengthening the historical business relationships, for establishing
new connections and for surveying the news and the state of the market, Innotrans has been an
extremely important “window” for MSA, that enabled us to consolidate our image of a leader company, whose flag is Quality. We were delighted of welcoming all our historical customers and partners, both Railway Vehicles Manufacturers and National Railways representatives from all over the
world. Furthermore we had the great pleasure of having at our stand numerous visits of international
companies, many of them coming from Middle East, Asian and North American countries, that showed keen interest in starting new business relationships with our Company that proved to be one
of the most important players in our sector of the International Railway Market.
Waiting for Innotrans 2008, MSA is now concentrating on harvesting the fruits of what has been a
real impressive Innotrans 2006.

DEL VEICOLO INDUSTRIALE
Dal 21 al 28 settembre ha preso il via la 61° edizione del Salone Europeo e forse anche mondiale dedicato al Veicolo Commerciale ed MSA era
presente con il proprio stand di 140 mq.
Dopo 6 anni ho avuto il piacere ritornare a visitare questo bellissimo e importante Salone, che nel frattempo si è spostato dal sua precedente sito (Francoforte) proprio per avere un maggior spazio da dedicare a tutti gli espositori.
Arrivato all’ingresso sono “scortato” al nostro stand, i padiglioni sono così
grandi che uno rischia di perdersi, dal sempre presente e puntuale Antonio
transitando per 15 minuti a piedi tra gli stand di colossi dell’industria veicolistica
quali Iveco, DAF, Scania, ecc.. ed all’apertura della porta del padiglione la vista
del nostro spazio espositivo mi lascia veramente senza parole….era bellissimo. Frequentando fiere, di stand se ne vedono tanti e di tutti i tipi e di tutti i
gusti, ma ad essere sincero il nostro, semplice, elegante e curato nei minimi
particolari (da non dimenticare le due splendide ragazze alla reception) non
passava inosservato….brava Antonella!

Durante la due giorni di mia permanenza ho potuto constatare quanto
il nome MSA sia conosciuto e rispettato tra i nostri competitor e
quanto sia apprezzato dai Clienti attuali ma soprattutto da quelli “possibili” che si fermavano a chiedere maggiori informazioni. Il nostro
stand era un po’ un punto fisso di ritrovo per molte persone che stanche dal lungo peregrinare nei padiglioni si fermava a chiacchierare
volentieri con “l’amico” Daniele o semplicemente per riposarsi e bere
un buon bicchiere di vino Astigiano accompagnato da qualche torroncino Siciliano.
Alla fine l’MSA rientra ad Asti, a fronte di un cospicuo investimento
economico per la presenza, con qualcosa come 300 nuovi possibili
contatti (che tanto per rendere l’idea vuol dire circa 4 ogni ora di fiera)
che significano nuovi mercati, nuove possibilità ma soprattutto nuovi
possibili ordini e fatturato.
Anche ad Hanover, come a Milano, MSA compie ulteriori passi per
una continua e costante crescita come fornitore dei principali attori
del mercato Europeo e Mondiale.

After 6 years I have had the pleasure return to visit this very beautiful and important
Show, that is moved by its precedent site in the meantime (Frankfurt) really to have a
greater space to devote to all the exhibitors. Reached the entry I am "escorted" to our
stand, the pavilions are so great that one risks to lose themselves, from the always present and punctual Mr. Antonio transiting for 15 minutes among the stands of an industrial
giant as Iveco, DAF, Scania, MAN, etc.. and to the opening of the door of the pavilion, our show floor space allows me really
without words…. it was very beautiful. In the show of stands see so many and of all the types and of all the tastes, but ours
to be honest it was simple, elegant and tidy in the least details (not to forget the two splendid girls to the reception) didn't
pass unnoticed…. Very good Antonella!
During the two days of my permanence I have been able to ascertain how much the name MSA is known and respected
among our competitors and how much is appreciated by the actual Customers but above all from those "possible" that
they stopped him to ask further information. Our stand was some a fixed point of meeting for a lot of people how tired to
wander in the tents it stopped him to chat gladly with "the friend" Daniele or simply to rest themselves and to drink a good
glass of wine Astigiano accompanied by some produce of the land Sicilian.
At the end the MSA come back to Asti, to forehead of a conspicuous economic investment for the presence, with something
as more or less 300 new possible contacts of customers (means around 4 every time of show) that they mean new markets,
new possibilities but above all new possible orders and turnover for the next year.
Also to Hanover, as to Milan, MSA completes further footsteps for a continuous and constant growth as supplier of the principal actors of the European and World market.

ALORE PER LE AZIENDE
Oggi molto spesso sentiamo
parlare di etica e di quanto
questa parola incida in tutte le
aeree della nostra vita.
E’ uso comune oggi ritenere
un comportamento etico un
comportamento giusto, ma
definire l’etica come la contrapposizione di un comportamento moralmente sbagliato
risulta molto riduttivo.
L’etica è l’insieme delle norme
di condotta pubblica e privata
che, secondo la propria natura e volontà, una persona o
un gruppo di persone scelgono e seguono nella vita, in
un’attività, etc…(NUOVO ZINGARELLI)
Il concetto di etica è stato da
sempre oggetto di disquisizioni filosofiche. Pensiamo ad
Aristotele che duemila anni fa
sosteneva che un comportamento etico si basava sulla
virtù, sulla consapevolezza di
fare le cose giuste, sulla verità.
Sono molti i filosofi che
hanno dedicato molte delle
loro opere all’etica per cui si
può asserire più propriamente: che l’etica è quella
parte della filosofia che studia
la condotta umana, i moventi
che la determinano e le valutazioni morali.
Estendendo il concetto di
etica possiamo definire il
complesso di norme di comportamento (non leggi) di una
società, di un gruppo ecc.
esempio: “l’etica vittoriana”,
“etica professionale”.
Spesso inoltre si parla di
comportamento o atteggiamento “etico” in contrapposizione ad un atteggiamento
“interessato”. Tale visione
corrisponde al noto concetto
kantiano di “imperativo categorico”: secondo Kant infatti
“il carattere essenziale di ogni
determinazione della volontà
per la legge morale è che la
volontà sia determinata semplicemente dalla legge morale
come volontà libera” (Critica
della Ragion Pratica).
Cioè: se faccio qualcosa per
ottenere un vantaggio il mio
comportamento non è morale. Devo farlo perché corrisponde a un “valore” (ecco i
“valori aziendali”). Altri filosofi
hanno tuttavia un modo molto
diverso di impostare il problema.
L’etica è comunque innanzitutto una disciplina, un settore
di studi.
Nel corso dei secoli il concetto di etica ha assunto molteplici significati e con
l’avvento dell’industrializzazione tale concetto è stato im-
piegato anche nel mondo del
lavoro: da qui nasce l’etica
aziendale.
Sono stati effettuati dei veri e
propri studi per stabilire
quanto un comportamento
etico incidesse sulla vita lavorativa tant’è che studiosi internazionali hanno stabilito che
lo stress, definito il male del
secolo, appare collegato a
comportamenti non etici. In
uno studio condotto su manager e dirigenti è stato messo
in evidenza come i dirigenti
con i punteggi più elevati nei
test relativi al comportamento
etico risultassero anche emotivamente molto più stabili e
meno stressati rispetti agli
altri. Inoltre si è stabilito che la
sensibilizzazione sul comportamento etico condotto in
azienda favorisce un forte spirito di gruppo e aumenta la
produttività individuale.
E’ implicito in ognuno di noi il
concetto di giusto o sbagliato,
per cui tutti noi sappiamo a
grandi linee cosa vuol dire
avere un comportamento
etico e non averlo. In fatti nel
corso della nostra vita tutti noi
accettiamo delle funzioni: lo
facciamo in famiglia, lo facciamo in azienda quando assunti ci impegniamo ad
essere leali verso un gruppo.

Accettare questi ruoli porta con
sé una serie di responsabilità
per esempio nel momento in
cui si viene assunti per una
azienda, accettando tale occupazione si accettano una serie
di responsabilità esplicite,
quelle comunicate dal responsabile o dal mansionario, e di
responsabilità implicite nel
senso che va da sé che il
nuovo assunto dovrà dare il
massimo e fare l’interesse del
proprio datore di lavoro. Nell’espletare tali responsabilità
dobbiamo cercare il più possibile di attenerci alla verità e
quindi assumere un comportamento etico. L’etica aziendale
infatti si basa su questo grande
presupposto: ognuno di noi
possiede i mezzi e le risorse
per fare andare bene le cose
per questo essa diviene un
strumento fondamentale nella
formazione di manager in
grado di affrontare i problemi
cercandone le vere cause e no
stratagemmi che ne leniscano
gli effetti. Infatti di fronte ad un
problema capita di compiere
delle azioni non corrette attraverso l’utilizzo di bugie e stratagemmi, il tutto giustificando
tale comportamento attraverso
delle giustificazioni apparentemente logiche. Tali comportamenti nel tempo allontano

l’individuo dal concetto di
etica, apportando certamente
dei vantaggi nel breve termine ma che nel medio e
lungo termine porterà molti
più problemi nonché una drastica riduzione delle sue capacità.
Con questo non vogliamo
bandire l’errore, ma l’importante è ammettere il proprio
errore prendendone coscienza.
Scegliendo di comportarci in
modo etico, scegliendo di risolvere le cause e non gli effetti, affermiamo di essere
forti , capaci e abili di poter affrontare qualsiasi situazione,
scegliendo di comportarci in
maniera etica affermeremo
con forza di essere dei leader.

Today we hear often talking
about ethics and how much
this influences involve everypart of our life.
Today we often judge an
ethic behaviour as morally
right,but the definition of the
ethics as an immoral behaviour appears reductive.
The ethics is the set of public
and private conduct rules that,
according to own nature and
will, a person or a group of
people choose and follow in
the own life, or activity,
etc...(NEW
ZINGARELLI).
The concept of ethics has always been subject of philosophical discussions. Just to
think that 2000 years ago, Aristotele affirmed that an ethic
behaviour is based on goodness,on the awarenessto of
doing right thing and on the
the ugly things,and on the
truth. A lot of philophers dedicated the greatest part of own
works to ethics; so we can affirm that ethics is that part of
philosophy
that
studies
human conduct ,their characteristics and moral valutations; If we want to extend
ethics concept we can say
that it is the set of behaviour
rules (not laws) of a society, of
a group, etc…e.g. “Victorian
Moral Standards”, “Professional Moral Standards”.We
often talk of an ethic behaviour or ethic attitude in oppositionto a”convenient”attitude.
This conception is consistent
with the famous Kantian thinking about the “categorical imperative”:
accprding
to
Kant”the moral law is determi-
ned by the free will”(Critique
of Practise Reason).According to Kant everyone must
not put on a moral attitude to
achieve something,but because it is a value(the values
of a company born from this
kantian law). Other philosophers were not agree with
Kant.But we can affirm that
ethics has been studies subject all along. During the centuries ethics concept has
assigned different meanings
and with the industrialization
this concept has been engajed also in the working
world:Ethics company burned
since that moment. They
have been realized out-andout studies to determine how
much an ethic behaviour etch
on the working life, and so
some international scientistes
have established that the
stress,defining the evil of the
century, appears connected
to the non-ethic behaviours.
From an analysis on managers and executives emerged
that the executives who put
on an ethic behaviour were
emotionally strong and less
stressed to the others. They
have established that have an
ethic behaviour into the company,encourage the esprit of
the group and increase the in-
dividual productivity. Everyone knows the meaning of a
non-ethic behaviour because
everyone knows the concepts
of right or wrong.During our
life we accept some roles:into
the family,into the company
where we bind ourself to be
true for our group. Who accepts these roles accepts
some responsbilities. For
example,when you work into
a company,you accept some
expressed responsabilities
that your manager has comunicated,and some unexpressed responsabilities,because
the worker let his light shine
for his manager. If the worker
accomplish his responsabilities he respects the truth and
put on an ethic bahaviour.For
this reason everyone must resolve the questions honestly,without lies or ploy. If a
person put on these behaviours,will turn out himself by
the idea of ethics,and so he
will riduce his abilities.So,it’s
necessary to accept own mistakes. If everyone have an
ethic behaviour,resolving the
causes and to not the effects,affirm to be strong and
able to undertake everyquestions;if everyone have an
ethic behaviour affirm to be a
leader

sDomenico la Cavera nasce a Palermo il 28 novembre 1916,
laureato in ingegnere civile
presso l’università di Roma,
impegnato in attività politiche
ed industriali, negli anni 50 è
stato fondatore e primo Presidente della Confindustria Sicilia. Fu proprio La Cavera a
convincere l’Avvocato Agnelli
dell’opportunità di aprire lo
stabilimento FIAT di Termini
Imprese a cui impose il nome
di SicilFiat. Oggi, all’età di novant’anni Mimì, come viene
chiamato
affettuosamente
dagli amici, è stato nominato
presidente onorario della
Confindustria siciliana proprio
per volontà del Presidente di
Confindustria nazionale Montezemolo il quale ha voluto
rendergli omaggio esprimendo parole di profonda
stima: “ Domenico La Cavera
– scrive Montezemolo - è un
grande protagonista della storia di Confindustria ma non
solo: di tutta l’economia siciliana che ha saputo fare impresa nonostante le enormi
difficoltà. Mimì ha rappresentato la voglia di riscatto di un
popolo troppo spesso costretto all’emigrazione e ha
dato una spinta coraggiosa
per il miglioramento delle condizioni economiche e sociali

dell’isola. Egli seppe farsi interprete delle aspirazioni alla
crescita e con la vivacità intellettuale che gli è propria, ma
anche con la capacità di relazione di cui è sempre stato
dotato, favorì il fiorire di quella
fitta rete di interessi che portarono alla creazione di numerose attività imprenditoriali.
E’ un esempio per noi che
tanto stiamo scommettendo
sul
mezzogiorno
come
grande opportunità nazionale.”
Noi abbiamo avuto l’onore di
conoscere questo straordinario personaggio
INTERVISTA ALL’ ING. DOMENICO LA CAVERA
Come si sente e cosa
pensa quando ricorda i traguardi importanti che ha
raggiunto la Sicilia per merito suo es. la FIAT a Termini Imprese che prese il
nome di SicilFiat per suo
volere?
Quei ricordi, gli anni in cui ho
combattuto per far si che progetti di sviluppi importanti per
la Sicilia diventassero realtà
sono la parte attiva della mia
vita e danno un equilibrio nei
giudizi del bilancio della mia
vita. Ricordo ancora gli ottimi
rapporti che mi legarono ad
Agnelli, L’Avvocato, quando
finalmente d’accordo, dopo
una battaglia estenuante, decidemmo di aprire uno stabilimento Fiat a Termini Imerese.
Fui io che gli imposi il nome
SicilFiat, era per me un dovere, un segnale forte che volevo lanciare a quegli
imprenditori che da fuori dovevano venire ad investire in
Sicilia ma fu anche un segnale che volevo dare alla Sicilia, era come se dicessi ai
siciliani che stavo lavorando
per rilanciare l’economia dell’isola.
Un consiglio ai nuovi manager per come rendere più
competitive le loro aziende
Il consiglio è elementare nella
sua complessità ma per dirla
breve bisogna partire sempre
dal rapporto costi- ricavi:costi
bassi e ricavi maggiori. Il problema è essere in grado di
raggiungere tale formula. Per
far questo un ruolo fondamentale lo riveste la ricerca e lo
sviluppo. Le faccio un esempio in America la Ford aveva
inventato una cassetta che
chiamavamo la cassetta delle
idea. Ognuno poteva inserire
al suo interno una idea un
progetto volto al miglioramento del proprio lavoro,
“collaborazione con le universita’, innov
azione, tutto
quello che viene prodotto
dalle universita’ deve essere messo a disposizione
delle piccole e medie imprese”
della propria produzione. Una
soluzione che io reputo eccellente in quanto si riuscivano a
raccogliere progetti veramente utili e a svilupparli grazie appunto alla ricerca. Oggi
reputo che un ruolo fondamentale lo svolgono le associazioni di categoria e le
Università- Le imprese dovrebbero riuscire ad interagire
e a collaborare di più con questi due enti e sviluppare per
chè progetti comuni che si
possano mettere al servizio di
tutte le imprese che hanno la
voglia e la serietà di voler penetrare nei mercati globali. Un
mio grande sogno sarebbe la
nascita di centri ricerca gratuiti al servizio delle imprese,
ma chissà forse un giorno il
sogno diventerà realtà, mai disperare.
La Confindustria di oggi
rappresenta la Confidustria
dei suoi tempi? Si riconosce con la politica adottata
dai nuovi dirigenti?
I miei tempi seppur lontani
hanno avuto problematiche simili a quelle attuali. La Confindustria che è stata, fino
all’elezione dei nuovi dirigenti
Lo Bello e Montante, certamente era molto lontana dalle
logiche della mia Confindustria. spero tanto che con
questa nuova dirigenza si ritorni a credere di voler cambiare il trend dello sviluppo
economico siciliano.Con Lo
Bello e Montante c’è stata
una intuizione e sono convinto che con la loro elezione
molte cose cambieranno. Io
da parte mia, grazie anche
alla stima e alla fiducia reciproca che mi lega a questi
due giovani imprenditori, lotterò affinché si possa creare
una Confindustria sana e produttiva che sia veramente da
supporto e da traino per tutte
quelle aziende che operano
in Sicilia e per quelle che vorrano, grazie ad azioni di marketing mirato ad attrarre nuovi
investimenti e agevolazioni,
venire ad investire in questa
splendida terra. Credo che
grazie a loro oggi il mio sogno
di una Sicilia sana e produttiva possa davvero concretizzarsi, io sarò al loro fianco e
condividerò con loro la mia
conoscenza e il mio sapere,
cercherò insomma di rendermi utile. Io non mollo, sono
un combattente.
Un suggerimento ai giovani
imprenditori
Ai giovani imprenditori consiglio solo di farsi padroni della
cultura d’impresa quella sana
e vera. Non devono avere
paura di investire le loro intuizioni e il loro denaro in imprese sane. Devono capire
l’importanza dei distretti industriali forniti ognuno di un centro di ricerca al servizio delle
imprese di un unico distretto,
cooperare fra loro, riunirsi, le
piccole industrie devono accorparsi se vogliono sopravvivere e non rimanere
schiacciate dai mercati. Bisogna collaborare, condividere
un progetto comune, e in
questo diventa indispensabile
il ruolo dell’associazione
quale punto di incontro di
idee, progetti, problemi e ricerca di soluzioni. L’associazione deve essere il referente
unico per tutte quelle imprese
che vogliono rimanere nel
mercato. Ai giovani imprenditori dico di non arrendersi e di
credere davvero in quello che
fanno.
Cosa vorrebbe che cambiasse nel sistema impresa
Italia?
Tre cose ritengo indispensabili per il rilancio del sistema
paese:
la scuola, le infrastrutture, la
ricerca e lo sviluppo.
Per scuola intendo sia gli istituti superiori che siano davvero in grado di preparare i
giovani al mondo del lavoro

“per l’industria del futuro puntate sui distretti industriali, dotateli di un cervello e
di un centro servizi, affinche’ vi siano strategie aggiornate in tempo reale in base alle
informazioni su quello che accade nell’economia mondiale”
con conoscenze serie e approfondite, con l’adeguato insegnamento
di
materie
tecniche, informatiche e linguistiche sia le Università
quali non devono essere le
accademie assolute del sapere ma che devono collaborare con le imprese attraverso
percorsi di formazione on the
job di concerto con le realtà
produttive del territorio.
Il miglioramento delle infrastrutture è un passaggio fondamentale per il rilancio del
sistema paese. Le imprese e
soprattutto quelle del sud
hanno dei disagi notevoli a
causa della carenza di infrastrutture adeguate, disagi logistici, economici, disagi che
creano un enorme danno all’economia,
bloccandola
quasi. Non si può pensare ad
una azienda del sud che sia
competitiva quando il costo
del suo prodotto subisce un
aumento del 50% rispetto ad

Terzo ed ultimo punto la ricerca e lo sviluppo sul qual
punto io mi sono sempre battuto molto. La ricerca e lo sviluppo sono due fattori
importanti nell’ambito del concetto di competitività delle
aziende. La ricerca e lo sviluppo dovrebbero essere
come ho già spiegato prima
un servizio gratuito alle imprese perché ne rappresentano la crescita.
La ricerca e lo sviluppo sono
fattori chiave per il rilancio
delle imprese e voi non ci credere ma fu proprio l’apprendere che Montante a capo
della Msa aveva già creato
uno spin off, la TIVET, con il
Politecnico di Milano che mi
convinse che forse il progetto
di rilancio dell’economia siciliana a cui ho dedicato tutta
la mia vita aveva una speranza di continuità, avevo trovato l’uomo giusto a cui
passare il testimone.

tempo che ci ha dedicato e ci
auguriamo davvero che la
sua grinta e la sua voglia di
cambiare le cose non vada
persa.

and he has been elected honorarium
president of the Sicilian Confindustria
from Mr Montezemolo,National Confindustria President. Mr Montezemolo
has expressed his regard: “ Domenico La Cavera – he wrote – is not
alone a big protagonist of the Confindustria story but also of all sicilian
economy.He has been able of”menagering enterprise”,even if there were
big troubles. Mimì has represented
the feel of ransom of folks obligated
,too often, to leave own land and he
has get better the economical and
social conditions of the Sicily. He has
been able to give voice to the aspiration of growth,with an intellectual vivacity and relational ability that
belong to him,he has been able to
create many entrepreneurial activities.He is an important example for
us because we are betting on noon
like a big national opportunity.”

How do you feel and what do you
think about the important goals that
the Sicily has achieved thanks to
you.What do you think about The Fiat
in Termini Imerese called SicilFiat
according to you?
I remember the ages when I realized
some imprtant projects in Sicily;now
these projects belong to my life e they
are the bilance of my budget life. I remember the wonderful relationship
with Mr Agnelli,the counsel.I remember when we decided to open the Fiat
plan in Termini Imerese. I called it Sicilfiat. I wanted that it would become
a great signal for the businessmen
that arrived in Sicily to invest. I wanted say to sicilian people:I’m working
to re-launch the economy of the island.
An advice to new managers to render more competitive their companies
The advice is elementary:it’s necessary to start from the report between
cost-proceeds: low costes and high
proceeds.But it’s necessary achieve
this formula and so the research and
the developpment play in this sense
an important role .For example: the
Ford had invented a box in USA, called the ideas box. Everyone could introduce an idea,a poject adressing to
the own working and productive development. According to me these
idea was excellent to gather up necessary projects and to develop them
thanks to the research. According to
me the category associations and the
University play an important role. The
companies would interact and cooperate more and more with these corporations and develop common projects
for those companies that would take
part into the global markets. My great
dream is the birth of gratis research
centers. I hope that my dream will become reality. Never despair.
Today the Confindustria is like the
Confidustria of your ages? What
do you think about the new police
of the new managers?
During my ages there were questions
similar to these of the present
age.The Confindustria of Mr Lo Bello
and Mr Montante is very different to
mine.But I hope that this new Confindustria will try to change the trend of
the sicilian economical development.
I’m sure that the situation will change
a lot with Mr Lo Bello and Mr Montante .On my side, I will combat to
create a healthy and productive Confindustria that it is an example to the
other Sicilian Companies,and to the
Companies that will want to invest
into these wonderful land.According
to me they will realize my dream and
so I want share with them my knowledge.So I try to be useful. I’m a
warrior and I will never let go.
An advice to the young businessmen
They must be owner of an healthy
and true company culture. They mustn’t be afraid to invest their intuitions
and their money into healthy companies.They must understand the importance of industrial district,which
are fitted of a research centre in the
service of the companies of an unique district,cooperate between
them,meet them,and the little companies must join together if they want
survive and not be crushed by the
markets. To the young businessmen
I say to never let go and to believe in
what they are doing.
Do you want change something in
the System Company in Italy?
In my country I would change three
Things:
The school,the infrastructures,the research and the developpment.
When I talk about school,I refer both
the upper-school quality,that must
enable the enter of the young ones
into the workworld,with an exhaustive
teaching of technical,computer and
linguistic
matters
and
the
University,that mustn’t be an absolute academy of the knowledge, it
must cooperate with the companies
throughout training on the job and
with the productives realities of the
territory.
The improvment of the infrastructures is an important opening for the relaunching of the country system. The
companies and especially the south
companies have some substantive
discomfort to create the absence of
appropriate infrastructures,logistical
and economical discomfort,and
those discomforts that create a big
damage to the economy,almost stopping it. We can’t think that a southcompany undergo an increase of
the 50% in respect to a north competitor only because the trasportationcost increase the production. It’s
absurd that today we get wind of the
bridge on the strait and we know that
the works on the Salerno/Reggio Calabria are not yet ended. This is really
absurd and we can’t keep an indifferent face.
Third and last point,upon which I
have always combatted,is the research and the development.The research and the development are two
important factors, as regards the
competitivness concept of the companies. I repeat the research and the
development must be a gratis service
for the companies because they represent the growth.
The creation of a spin off the TIVET
thanks to MSA President, Mr Antonello Montante, with polytechnic of
Milano,persuaded me that the project
of re-launching sicilian economy was
possible and so I believe that he is
the right heir.

Nella splendida cornice del tea-
tro Alfieri di Asti accompagnati
dalle note del grande Lucio
Dalla, il 18 ottobre ha avuto
luogo la festa per l’anniversario
dei 70 anni dell’associazione Industriale di Asti.
Presenti tutte le autorità cittadine, militari, istituzionali e gli
oltre 500 invitati che il Presidente dell’unione industriale di
Asti Franco De Gennaro ha accolto personalmente nella hall
dell’Alfieri. Tra gli ospiti certamente il più atteso il Presidente
di Confindustria nazionale Luca
Cordero di Montezemolo che
salito sul palco ha voluto esprimere personalmente gli auguri
esortando gli industriali della
provincia di Asti a guardare
avanti: “Settant’anni sono tanti
nella vita di una persona, ma
pochi per l’impresa che deve
darsi continuamente degli
obiettivi, nuovi traguardi….le
aziende non devono aspettarsi
aiuto da nessuno, non si distribuisce ricchezza se prima non
la si crea….bisogna innovare i
prodotti, investire in ricerca e
sviluppo, bisogna cercare il dialogo con le parti sociali”. Un
momento toccante del discorso
di Montezemolo è stato quanto
ha definito il mestiere di imprenditore il più bello dello mondo

anche se molte volte gli imprenditori si trovano in solitudine a dover prendere
decisioni difficili e importanti,
“pensiamo alle notti insonni
passate nel cercare le scelte
migliori per il bene delle
aziende che dirigiamo”, ma
pur ribadendo questo disagio
ha spronato gli imprenditori a
non arrendersi mai e a non
perdere tempo”le scelte che
spesso dobbiamo compiere in
solitudine vanno fatte senza
aspettare i tempi e i riti della
politica italiana….il mondo
non ci aspetta e questo vale
ad Asti come a Roma”.
Tra gli ospiti presenti il Presidente della MSA nonché Presidente di Confindustria
Caltanissetta Antonello Montante in duplice veste di associato e di Presidente di una
territoriale di Confindustria.
Il Presidente Montante dopo i
saluti con il Presidente Montezemolo e il padrone di casa
De Gennaro ha preso posto
in platea godendosi il concerto di Lucio Dalla accompagnato dal quintetto d’archi.
Noi lo abbiamo disturbato
sperando in un suo commento a caldo che non ci è

La presenza del Presidente
Montezemolo è un importante
segnale per il territorio astigiano. Il presidente ha voluto
lanciare un messaggio di
sprono per gli industriali a non
arrendersi proprio ad Asti, che
negli ultimi tempi attraversa
un periodo economico difficile, dove ultimamente si
sente parlare di aziende in
crisi, di personale in cassa integrazione, sicuramente in
linea con le condizioni economiche del paese, ma che ad
Asti viene percepito in maniera particolare in quanto è
storia la presenza di grossi
gruppi industriali che in passato hanno scelto Asti per i
loro investimenti ma che negli
anni la hanno “abbandonata”.
Ammiro il lavoro svolto dal
mio collega De Gennaro che
come me in questi anni si divide tra la sua impresa e l’associazione.
Essere presidente di una Territoriale di Confindustria oggi
non è semplice; purtroppo
oggi fare impresa è davvero
difficile: gli associati chiedono
il tuo sostegno, vogliono essere rappresentati e supportati
nel
loro
cammino
imprenditoriale.
Ogni giorno, ad Asti come a
Caltanissetta, ci scontriamo
con problematiche difficili e
complesse che cerchiamo di
superare insieme e per il bene
di tutti. Cerchiamo di condividere le nostre idee, i nostri
progetti, divulghiamo cultura
d’impresa, siamo a supporto
di tutte quelle realtà che si riconoscono in noi e nel nostro
modo di fare e di vivere l’impresa.
La competitività è un fattore
imprescindibile ma per raggiungere un buon posizionamento sul mercato devi
investire molto in termini di ricerca e sviluppo, in qualità.
Per riuscire a far funzionare le
cose è necessario il dialogo,
la collaborazione con tutte le
parti sociali, è necessario che
ognuno faccia la propria parte
senza aspettarsi nulla in cambio se non che le condizioni
migliorino.
E’ vero il mestiere dell’imprenditore è il più bel lavoro
del mondo ma devi essere
forte, tenace e soprattutto
devi credere in quello che fai
senza arrenderti alle prime
difficoltà. Devi cercare la collaborazione, la concertazione
e il dialogo con tutti, perché
da solo è veramente difficile
riuscire a sopravvivere in un
mercato così globalizzato.
Questa serata è stata piacevole, allegra e gioviale, vorrei
complimentarmi con il Presidente De Gennaro, Franco, e
il suo staff per l’organizzazione della serata. E di nuovo
auguri per i 70 anni con la

The anniversary of the 70 years of
the Industrial Confederation of Asti
took place in the wonderful atmosphere of Alfieri theatre of Asti,with
the musique of Lucio Dalla,on 18th
October.
Franco De Gennaro, the President
of Industrial Confederation of Asti
has personally received Citizens,
militaries, institutional autorities
and 500 wedding attendants,into
the Hall of Alfieri Theatre. Mr Luca
Cordero di Montezemolo,the Nazional Confindustria President,
was the guest The most expected
.When he got on the stage he has
encouraged the businessmen of
Asti and province to look ahead:
“Seventy years are a lot for a man
life, but they are brief for a company life,because it must always
follow new objectives, new
goals...the companies must never
call for help...First of all we create
wealth,and then we distribute
it...it’s necessary to renew the products,to invest in research and developpment;it’s necessary to
establish a dialogue with the society members”.
A poignant moment has been
when Mr Montezemolo has defined
the entrepreneurial activity the
most beautiful in the world, even if
the businessman fell deeply alone
when he must make some hard
and important decisions, “just to
think at the sleepless nights,spend
to find the best solution to do-right
of own Company”,he has encoura-

ged the businessmen to never let
go and to never mess around”our
choices make in solitude must not
waiting the Italian politics times
and ...the world cannot waiting us
and this refers both Asti and
Rome”.
Amongst the guestes,the MSA and
Confindustria Caltanissetta President,Antonello Montante,has took
place in the theater to savour the
Lucio Dalla concert music with the
quintet bowes. He has affirmed:”
There was a wonderful atmosphere embellished with the undisputed skill of Lucio Dalla,an artist
which I admire a lot. The presence
of Mr Montezemolo has been an
important signal for the asti territory. The President wanted give an
encouragment message to the Asti
businessmen to never let go,especially now that Asti is living an hard
moment,by the economical point
of view. A lot of Asti companies are
in crisis,a lot of employers are in
redundancy fund, in line with the
economical conditions of the country. But this is very heavy for Asti
because a lot of businessmen that
had invested in this country,now
they have “abandoned”it.
I admire the work of my partner,Mr
De Gennaro,that has worked for
the Company and for the Confederation with the same passion,like
me.
Being President of one Confindustria territorial,is not simple today,
unfortunately menagering entreprise is very difficult,today the partners would be supported and
represented during their entrepreneurial life. Everyday we must face
different and complex questions
and we try to pass them togheter
for the common good,both in Asti
and in Caltanissetta.We try to
share our ideas,our projects,to disseminate the company culture and
we are the support for those realities that identifying themselves
with us and in our way to do and to
live the company. The competitivity
is an essential factor but to achieve
a good position into the market you
must invest a lot in the research
,developpment,and quality.To produce the ideas,it’s necessary the
dialogue,the cooperation with the
society members and it’s necessary that everyone work only to get
better themselves and the company. It’s true:being a businessman is the most beautiful activity
in the world,but you must be
strong,undaunted and above all
you must believe in what you are
doing and never let go. You must
find the cooperation,the concentration and the dialogue with everyone, because if you are alone is
very hard survive in a worlwide
market.
This evening has been very pleasant,funny and jovial and I would
compliment for the organisation
with Mr De Gennaro,the President,Mr Franco and his staff.I want
to end with a thought: Best wishes

system will recover by this crisis

Il 27 novembre 2006 una delegazione di imprenditori, coordinati dall’Unione Industriale
di Asti, è partita per la Cina.
Scopo della missione il nascere di nuovi futuri scambi
commerciali ed economici tra
i nostri paesi.
Insieme al Presidente dell’Unione Industriali di Asti e
agli altri partecipanti è partito
alla volta della Cina il project
manager di MSA Cesare Saturno. Nel programma oltre
alle visite ai membri del governo cinese è stata organizzata una visita ad hoc per
MSA con un’ azienda operante nel settore dell’automotive di Shanghai il quale ha
riservato al nostro rappresentante, il signor Saturno, una
accoglienza calorosa e cor-
diale. Ad attendere il sig. Saturno, oltre ad una serie di
striscioni di benvenuto, i rappresentati della azienda che
gli hanno riservato grande
ospitalità e riverenza, essendo il nostro sig. Saturno
un esperto luminare di ammortizzatori, grazie alla sua
esperienza quarantennale nel
settore.
Dopo i convenevoli il sig. Saturno è stato accompagnato a
visitare l’interno degli stabilimenti a cui poi è seguito un
meeting di approfondimento
sulle loro produzioni e sui loro
processi produttivi.
Il sig. Saturno ha così commentato tale incontro: “sono
rimasto molto colpito non solo
dalla accoglienza che mi è
stata riservata ma anche dalla
dedizione al lavoro, dall’ordine e dalla pulizia degli ambienti di lavoro, dalle
tecnologie utilizzate, dalle
produzioni automatizzate dei
particolari prodotti…devo essere sincero non me lo aspettavo, la Cina è un paese
straordinario con tanta voglia
di fare e di crescere, in più i

rappresentanti deii governi,
che noi nel corso di tale Missione abbiamo avuto il piacere di conoscere, sono
molto disponibili alla crescita
e alla implementazione di
nuovi siti produttivi dando alle
imprese che vogliono investire in Cina tutte le agevolazioni del caso. In questo
viaggio ho imparato e capito
molto ma soprattutto ho capito che non bisogna avere
paura della Cina ma bisogna
collaborare con questi paesi,
cercare forme di interscambio
economico e produttivo. La
forza della Cina sono i cinesi,
lavoratori instancabili e appassionati. E’ stata davvero
una esperienza di crescita. Mi
auguro che in un futuro non
molto lontano si arrivi davvero
ad una forma di collaborazione sana e costruttiva tra i
nostri paesi instaurando rapporti leali e trasparenti senza
voglia di prevaricazione e sottomissione da parte di alcuno.”

On November 27th 2006, a business men delegation has reached China, with the coordination of the Unione Industriale of Asti.
The mission target is creating new future commercial and economical trades between our Countries.
Together with the President of Unione Industriali of Asti and the other participants, our Project Manager, Mr Saturno Cesare, reached
China. During the program apart from visits to Chinese Government members, it has been organized for MSA a meeting in Shanghai
with a company operating in automotive market. They reserved to Mr Saturno a warm welcome. The representatives of the company
waited with banners for the arrival of Mr Saturno , man of genius in the designing of shock absorbers as for his experience of more
than 40 years in this sector, and gave him particular warm hospitality and respect.
Mr Saturno visited their warehouse followed by an interesting and detailed meeting on their productions.
Mr Saturno said “I was well impressed for the warm welcome reserved to me, but also for the devotion that they have for their activity,
for the neatness of the working places, for the high technology and computerization used during produce system…I didn’t expect something like this. China is an extraordinary Country with many resources and a huge will to grow and develop. Its development is due
also to the help of the Ministry’s representatives of China, which I have been honoured to meet during the Mission. They helped economically new companies that wish to grow. During this journey, I had the possibility of understanding that we must should not be scared of China, but we have to develop a relationship based on a profitable and productive interchange.
The power of China is Chinese people, they are passionate and untiring workers. The Mission has been a great experience. I hope
that in a near future, we will reach an honest and constructive relationship between our Countries based on really true and transparent
report without wanting to overrule or claim superiority to eachother”
