The Italian Trade Commission (I.C.E.) is the public agency entrusted with promoting trade,
business opportunities and industrial co-operation between Italian and foreign companies, in
particular by organizing the participation of Italian firms at fairs, exhibitions, workshops and
bilateral meetings in more than 100 countries worldwide.
I.C.E. provides global support to Italian companies through its network of 115 branch offices in
over 88 countries.
PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE AUDIOVISUAL INDUSTRY
I.C.E. activity in this sector includes more than 20 promotional events every year in Europe,
North America, Russia, China, India and recently Singapore:
• Italian participation in the main international audiovisual markets (Asia Television Forum,
DISCOP East, European Film Market, Hot Docs, MIFA, MIPCOM, MIPTV, Shanghai International Film
Mart; Sunny Side of the Doc, TIFF-Toronto International Film Festival);
• Showcases creating business opportunities for Italian TV producers and distributors ;
• Screenings of recent Italian movies, for distributors and the public (Germany, USA);
• Presentations of Italian locations and production facilities and services, in cooperation with
Italian Film Commissions and Film and Audiovisual Technical Industries.
In Italy, the Italian Trade Commission invites buyers, producers, broadcasters and other
representatives of the audiovisual sector from all over the world to some international events,
such as International Rome Film Festival, Rome FictionFest, Castelli Animati, Cartoons on the
Bay, Med Film Festival and the Italian Doc Screenings.
I.C.E. has established a Film Office in its Los Angeles branch in order to provide information and
assistance to Italian and local audiovisual companies.

UNEFA (Union of Italian Film and Audiovisual Exporters) since the early 80´s, groups together
all the companies operating in this complex field of International Audiovisual Business.
The companies gathering under the UNEFA banner are the same that over the years have

The APT was established in 1994 with the purpose of representing its members towards public
Authorities and television networks (both public and private), to protect their interests, to back
their organizational, technological and economic development, and above all to support the
needs and expectations of this sector on the occasion of national laws or EU Directives
concerning television production. 46 independent production companies are members of APT:
their work accounts for over 80% of the overall turnover of this sector, which amounts to some
500 million Euro per year, with an employment (either direct or included) of approximately
200.000 people. The vast participation of Italian independent producers in APT qualifies this
Association as “first representative” of this category, attributing the same full title to act in the
name and on behalf of its agreements, organizing and ensuring the proper functioning of all
common services of fiscal, legal and technical assistance and advice, for public relations and for
relations with the press. APT is also members of Confindustria (Confederation of Italian Industry)
and of CEPI (European Coordination of Independent Producers). APT is one of the main sponsor
of the world’s international television festival dedicated to all types of fiction: RomaFictionFest.
Fabiano Fabiani is the Association’s President, Carlo Degli Esposti, Giorgio Gori and Sergio Silva,
are the Vice Presidents, Matilde Bernabei, Giuseppe Giacchi (Treasurer), Laurentina Guidotti,
Mario Mauri and Lorenzo Mieli are Members of the Presidency Committee. Chiara Sbarigia is
General Secretary. The Governing Body is formed by Gioia Avvantaggiato, Paolo Bassetti,

At the end of 2007 the AGPC - Associazione Giovani Produttori Cinematografici (Association of
Young Film Producers) was founded in Italy.
Today the category Asociation is already a consolidated reality, a network of professionals under
40 united by the goal to give new strength to the audiovisual system answering the markets
needs and aiming at quality. AGPC is a network on European level.
Adhesions and support have arrived from many independant European producers. The
association promotes new forms of economic, cultural and artistic co-operation in the optics of
an audiovisual industry that aims at continuous innovation.
The "young producers" become spokespeople of the many In Italy that ask for support of a new
industrial film system and are determined on supplying training and updating tools to the
producer-entrepreneur.

AIDA - Associazione Italiana Distributori Audiovisivi- was formed in March 2010 by a group of
professional Companies with many years’ experience in the distribution of international products
in Italy.
The Companies jointly represent an important segment of the market.
AIDA’s member aim to ensure reliability and expertise for clients in Italy and abroad and
contribute to the professional development of the audiovisual distribution sector. This is
particularly important in view of the complexity of the whole multimedia scene, constantly and
rapidly changing form both technological and legislative points of view.
AIDA’s goal is to be a real reference point and guarantee for foreign producers and distributors,
who are often disorientated by the Italian market which is seen as muddle of impenetrable
regulations, but also for Italian clients for whom we set out to be attentive consultants, able to
propose high quality product aimed at their specific needs. A benchmark of quality and
expertise backed up by an ethical code undersigned by the association’s members and based
on the principles of loyalty, probity, respect for the rules and transparency while acknowledging
the professional and contractual independence of the single members.
This is an attempt to meet the needs of the audiovisual world in which the role of distributors
is more important than ever, and the need to adjust to market changes and the demand for
attention to rights management and closer control are becoming more urgent.
An exciting challenge projected towards the future of the mass media in the context of the
evolution of technology. We want to be active protagonists in that evolution to ensure our
professional growth and the satisfaction of our clients.

development and production experience with Maurizio Momi's distribution skills.

Variety Communications is company having decades of experience in worldwide film
distribution. It licenses theatrical, TV and Home video rights of films being part of wide library

Founded in 2007, Xnote is an independent, worldwide distributor and production company of
movies, documentaries, music and products for children. XNote works in touch with great
